The Mystery of the 52nd Week

0

Welcome to the 52nd week of the year. The 52nd week is the last full week of the year. This is the week of Christmas. It is the week for commemorating the birth of our Savior and Redeemer. This week should remind you that God and His word will ALWAYS triumph – even in your case.

The 52nd week is a third-day-of-creation week. On the third day of creation, God gathered the waters under heaven in one place and caused the dry ground to appear. The third season is for the emancipation of ‘the dry ground’ from the dominion and tyranny of the sea. The third season is for the overthrow of dysfunctional platforms and the manifestation of new productive platforms. It is the season for the emergence of sustainers and sustenance. The third season is the season of the last battle. God fought the last battle against the waters on the third day of creation. It signifies the end of oppression and the beginning of breakthroughs. It signifies the end of oppression from the ungodly; and also the end of affliction for the godly. This 52nd week, the Lord will overthrow and contain ‘the waters’ again; and cause ‘the dry ground’ to appear and produce.

The 52nd week is a 52nd-chapters-of-the-Bible week

Psalm 52 tells us God will triumph over the mighty man who boasts in evil. The 52nd psalm is about the destruction of “the man who did not make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.” Psalm 52:1-7 says, ”Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man? The goodness of God endures continually. [2] Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. [3] You love evil more than good, Lying rather than speaking righteousness. Selah [4] You love all devouring words, You deceitful tongue. [5] God shall likewise destroy you forever; He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah [6] The righteous also shall see and fear, And shall laugh at him, saying, [7] “Here is the man who did not make God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness.”

Isaiah 52 declares the triumph of God in His redemption of Zion. Isaiah 52:9-10 says, “Break forth into joy, sing together, You waste places of Jerusalem! For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem. [10] The LORD has made bare His holy arm In the eyes of all the nations; And all the ends of the earth shall see The salvation of our God”. Isaiah 52 reveals that the 52nd week is when God says ‘Enough’ both to the wicked and to His suffering ones. Isaiah 52:1-10 says “Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion; Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For the uncircumcised and the unclean Shall no longer come to you. [2] Shake yourself from the dust, arise; Sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion! [3] For thus says the LORD: “You have sold yourselves for nothing, And you q cop noshall be redeemed without money.” [4] For thus says the Lord GOD: “My people went down at first Into Egypt to dwell there; Then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause. [5] Now therefore, what have I here,” says the LORD, “That My people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them Make them wail,” says the LORD, “And My name is blasphemed continually every day. [6] Therefore My people shall know My name; Therefore they shall know in that day That I am He who speaks: ‘Behold, it is I.'” [7] How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” [8] Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye When the LORD brings back Zion. [9] Break forth into joy, sing together, You waste places of Jerusalem! For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem. [10] The LORD has made bare His holy arm In the eyes of all the nations; And all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God”.

Jeremiah 52 is about the fall of Judah, the humiliation of King Zedekiah, the plundering and burning of the House of God, the carrying of the last captives to Babylon, and the release of king Jehoiachin from prison on the 25th day of the 12th month. Jeremiah 52 ends the book with a review of the fall of Jerusalem and Judah; to show that God’s Word is supreme.

The 52nd week is a book of First Thessalonians week. Paul’s first epistle to the Thessalonians is the 52nd book of the Bible. The 52nd book of the Bible is a celebration of victory and triumph for a church that should not have survived but did. It is a testimony that God’s word triumphs over persecution and hardship. Persecution drove Paul and his team out of Thessalonica but could not uproot the gospel or the church there. The Lord overthrew the plans of the evil one to establish this church. The book is also about hope and comfort in the midst of affliction and conflict. It is a book of exhortations for those who are concerned about, or mindful of, ‘the end’. It also speaks of vengeance from the Lord. The message of the 52nd is, “It is over! God has won”; or “God wins at the end”.

The 52nd week is Christmas week. Providence made Christmas Day part of the 52nd week to show us that the season is about the triumph of God’s word. Jesus was miraculously conceived, born, and preserved against all odds. Today, He is preached all over the world. If God made good His word concerning the virgin conception and birth of Jesus, the book of First Thessalonians wants us to know He will also make good His word concerning the coming of “His Son from heaven”. The once-Baby-Jesus is now the soon coming King! God’s word prevails in the 52nd season.

The 52nd week is a Ruth 3 week. The third chapter of the eighth book of the Bible is applicable to the third week in the eighth section (last 22 days) of the year. Ruth and Boaz got married in the third chapter of the book of Ruth. Redemption took place there. Boaz redeemed what belonged to Elimelech. Widowhood ended for Ruth in this chapter.

Week 52 is Ecclesiastes – Amos Week in the last 22/23 days of the year. The third ten books of the Bible are applicable to the third week in every 49 days. The third ten books of the Bible include ‘the Major Prophets’. They are prophets of ‘overthrow and establishment’. God called them out of obscurity to serve His global agenda. Week 52 is a season to move from obscurity to the limelight in the purpose of God.

The 52nd season is when the unexpected happens. The 52nd year of the 20th century (1952) was a good year for Republicans in the United States. The GOP returned to power after 20 years of Democrats’ leadership. Dwight D Eisenhower (Ike) became the 34th President of the United States. The same year, Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne following the death of her father, King George VI. She was never expected to become the Queen of England but the turn-around came in 1952. The 52nd season is a season of taking back control. It is a season of breakthroughs. This week, the unexpected will happen again; this time, in your favor. ‘The dominating waters’ will be moved away; and your ‘dry ground’ will appear as the new productive platform. This is Dry Ground’s Week! Happy 52nd week! Merry Christmas!!!
