Day 97: The Mystery of April 7

0

Welcome to the 97th day of the year! The 97th day is the sixth day of the fourteenth week of the year. It is also the 48th day in the second 49 days of the year. It is April 7 in a clear year and April 6 in a leap year. The Bible keys to understanding the 97th day are the sixth day of creation narrative, the 97th psalm, and the sixth division chapters (27-31) of the fourteenth book of the Bible.

Day 97 is a sixth-day-of-creation day. It is a sixth season day. On the sixth day of creation, God made land creatures. He first made the footed and creeping animals. Then He made man in His image and after His likeness. He made man to rule over the land and sea creatures. He mandated man to have dominion, to rule, and to subdue. He gave man and animals vegetation for food. He blessed man with fruitfulness and multiplication. The sixth season is for expressing the Lord and exercising dominion in His name against His enemies. It is a season to rule, subdue, and dominate the rebellious. Day 97 is a day of judgments.

Day 97 is a Psalm 97 day. The 97th psalm asserts the dominion of God in seven declarations. Psalm 97:1-6

1. [1] The LORD reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad!

2. [2] Clouds and darkness surround Him;

3. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.

4. [3] A fire goes before Him, And burns up His enemies round about.

5. [4] His lightnings light the world; The earth sees and trembles. [5]

6. The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

7. [6] The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples see His glory.

Psalm 97 derides those who serve idols. Psalm 97:7 says, “Let all be put to shame who serve carved images, Who boast of idols. Worship Him, all you gods”

Psalm 97 is encouragement to those who love the Lord to rejoice IN THE LORD and live right.

Psalm 97:8-12 says, “Zion hears and is glad, And the daughters of Judah rejoice Because of Your judgments, O LORD. [9] For You, LORD, are most high above all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods. [10] You who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. [11] Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart. [12] Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name”.

Day 97 is a Second Chronicles 27-31 day. The sixth five chapters of the fourteenth book of the Bible are applicable to the sixth day of the fourteenth week. The sixth five chapters of Second Chronicles covers the period of four kings – Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah. That was also the period of Isaiah’s ministry. The 27th chapter is about Jotham, the son of Uzziah. He was a good king. Second Chronicles 27:3-6 says, “He built the Upper Gate of the house of the LORD, and he built extensively on the wall of Ophel. [4] Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built fortresses and towers. [5] He also fought with the king of the Ammonites and defeated them. And the people of Ammon gave him in that year one hundred talents of silver, ten thousand kors of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. The people of Ammon paid this to him in the second and third years also. [6] So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God”. The 28th chapter is about the idolatrous king Ahaz. Judah suffered terribly under king Ahaz. The 29th and 30th chapters open the door to the reign of Hezekiah – his temple-worship reforms and Passover. The 31st chapter is about the reforms of Hezekiah – especially of caring for the priests and the Levites. Day 97 is for judgment and restoration. It is season to return to God or face judgment.

Day 97 is Ephesians – Philemon day in the 14th week. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. This sixth day of the week is the second day in the New Testament side of the week; and expresses the second nine books of the New Testament. Today is a day to triumph in warfare through instructions. The second 9 books of the N.T are mentoring books. The pastoral epistles of Paul are in this section. This section of the Bible is for “the preparation of the man of God”.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy and declare war against the enemies of God. Today, prophesy restoration and blessing on God’s people because of the finished work; and prophesy against ungodliness. Today, show that your primary allegiance is to the God of Israel. You are made in the image and likeness of God. This is a day to commemorate and relive the creation of man in the image and likeness of God. Today, make your way back to the Lord. Even if you are not a backslider, you can still get closer to the goal of expressing the Lord – as His image and likeness. Today, stand out for God as His representative and look into your life, and look around, for things and areas that need to be conformed to God’s standards. Today, pray that the kingdom comes, by the word of God, to establish God’s will in your life, family, church, community, nation; and in the nations of the world. Today, declare over all situations and idols that the Lord reigns. Never fear anything. Happy 97th day!
