Welcome to the 77th day of the year! The 77th day of the year is the seventh and last day of the eleventh week. The 77th day is the end of the eleventh seven days. It is also the 28th of the second 49 days. The 77th season is a seventh season. Day 77 is March 18 in a clear year and March 17 in a leap year. The Bible-keys to understanding and interpreting the 77th day are the seventh day of creation story, the last three chapters of First Kings, the 77th psalm, the 28th book and chapters, of the Bible, the last 9 books of the New Testament.
Day 77 is a seventh day of creation day in the eleventh week. God ended all His work on the seventh day and rested on that day. Then, He blessed and sanctified the seventh day because He rested on that day. The seventh day signifies rest from struggles and troubles. It is the end of pain for some and the beginning of for some. It is a day of results and reckoning. Jesus healed people on the seventh day to usher those He helped into the rest of the season. God wants His people to see the seventh point as the last point; He wants them to see it as the end. Day 77 is a blessed and holy day of rest. It is a day of intervention and salvation.
Day 77 is a First Kings 20-22 day in the eleventh week. What happened in the last four chapters of First Kings? Elijah, threatened by Jezebel, got frustrated preaching and prophesying to Israel. He cried out to God and wanted to die. God heard him and led him to anoint Elisha. In the twentieth chapter, Ahab defeated Syria twice but was rebuked for sparing Behadad. He did not want to bring the conflict to a just end by killing the enemy. The seventh season is for ending matters. Ahab violated the season. In the 21st chapter, Ahab and Jezebel killed Naboth and took his vineyard; which Ahab had wanted but was refused. Naboth acted within the law and should have been respected. Elijah pronounced judgment on Ahab and his house. Ahab died in First Kings 22. The land was rid of the mess called Ahab. King Ahab was the seventh king of the Northern kingdom from Jeroboam. He was in every way, a violation of ‘the seventh’. Rather than set himself apart for God, he set himself apart to do evil. In the 77th season, the enemy does his worst to end the season; but then, also, God does His best to crown the season with victory and triumph
.Day 77 is a Psalm 77 day. Psalm 77 reveals that the 77th season is the end of crying and wondering. Psalm 77:1-9 says, “I cried out to God with my voice – To God with my voice; And He gave ear to me. [2] In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted. [3] I remembered God, and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah [4] You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. [5] I have considered the days of old, The years of ancient times. [6] I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, And my spirit makes diligent search. [7] Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more? [8] Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His promise failed forevermore? [9] Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah” God shows up in the 77th season. In Luke’s genealogy of Jesus, the Lord is the 77th from God.
B. The 77th season is a time to remember the previous works of God. The psalmist says, in Psalm 77:10-20, “And I said, “This is my anguish; But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.” [11] I will remember the works of the LORD; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old. [12] I will also meditate on all Your work, And talk of Your deeds. [13] Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary; Who is so great a God as our God? [14] You are the God who does wonders; You have declared Your strength among the peoples. [15] You have with Your arm redeemed Your people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah [16] The waters saw You, O God; The waters saw You, they were afraid; The depths also trembled. [17] The clouds poured out water; The skies sent out a sound; Your arrows also flashed about. [18] The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightnings lit up the world; The earth trembled and shook. [19] Your way was in the sea, Your path in the great waters, And Your footsteps were not known. [20] You led Your people like a flock By the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Day 77 of the year is Day 28 in the second 49 days; and for that season, has it guiding light in the 28th book and chapters of the Bible. Hosea is the 28th book of the Bible and represents unconditional love and mercy. As God showed unconditional love and mercy to Israel in the days of Hosea, God demanded the prophet to show unconditional love to His adulterous wife. Day 77 is a day of mercy and love. The narratives in the 28th chapters of the Bible point to vindication or vengeance. Day 28 is results day. It is for confirmation or condemnation.

Day 77 ends the New Testament side of the week; and has its guiding light in the last nine books of the Bible and the New Testament. The last nine books are books of recovery, restoration, and recreation. Day 77 is a day of recovery, restoration, and recreation.
Today may the Lord rid your life of Ahab and bring an end to groaning in the land. Happy 77th day.
