The unity Paul advocates in this book is the unity of God’s people at Corinth; not unity with everyone in Corinth. It’s an appeal to ‘brethren’ to unite. Paul does not advocate unity at the expense of purity. This a day to exalt “the foolishness of God” above man and his wisdom. This is a day to stand for the weak things of God. In the second chapter, Paul makes a case for the wisdom which the natural man cannot receive. This is a day to pursue God’s thoughts and follow God’s way.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the collapse and end of expressions and manifestations of darkness in your life and world. Decree that expressions of light will triumph in this first day of the week. Today, make a quality decision to receive the word of the Lord and act on it without fear or doubts. Make a quality decision to walk in unconditional love. This is a day of sacrificial (tough) love. Today, take time to hear from God. Do not act without His direction. Follow what He says or shows. Today, seek the Lord against disasters in the week as you come into alignment. Call upon Him for mercy. Today, stand up for unity against divisions. First, unity with God; and then with men. You must not give room to that. If the enemy succeeds you will become a victim of spiritual darkness. The second thing the enemy will want to do is to pervert your ordination by making you the opposite of what God intended. Instead of an agent of light, the adversary will lure you to be an agent of darkness. Do not sell out. It’s about your purpose and ordination.
