The Mystery of the 58th Birthday or Anniversary

As you mark your 58th Birthday or Anniversary, it is important to understand that you have already spent that 58th year. It is behind you now. You should be concerned about the 59th year that’s ahead of you. The 59th year is the 12-month season following the 58th birthday or anniversary. The 59th year actually begins the day you clock 58. It’s simple. A first Birthday and Anniversary means the first year is gone.

There are 6 Biblical patterns for understanding the 59th year are:

1) the third day of creation narrative (Genesis 1:9-13)

2) the 59th book of the Bible (James 1-5)

3) the 59th chapters of the Bible (Psalm 59; Isaiah 59)

4) the third five chapters of First Samuel, the 9th book of the Bible (First Samuel 11-15)

5). The tenth book of the Bible (Second Samuel)

6). The third ten books of the Bible (Ecclesiastes – Amos).

It is important to read and understand those Biblical patterns for the season. They help to give a broad perspective of the season.

The 59th year is a third-day-of-creation year. This means that the 59th year should be a re-enact of what God did on the third day of creation. God began to battle the waters on the second day of creation and completed the battle against the waters on the third day. So, what God began to do for you in your 58th year will be completed in your 59th year.

On the third day of creation, God moved the waters under heaven to one place, uncovered the earth (dry ground), and made it release the hidden potential for life in it. On the third day, God moved the barrier between heaven and earth and brought the two in close and unhindered communion. The 59th year year ought to be a year of unhindered communion with God. It is a time to be attentive to the voice from heaven.

The 59th year is for uncovering hidden realities and potentials. The hidden realities could be positive or negative. It could be the uncovering and manifestation of what is good and helpful or the uncovering of what is evil. The 59th year is for the unveiling of secret things. Year 59 is for seeing what is hidden and calling it forth to manifestation.

As the third year of the ninth seven years, the 59th year is ‘a book of Leviticus year in a seven-year season that expresses the book of First Samuel . The book of Leviticus is about the spiritual platform sustaining Israel’s relationship with God. The 59th year is a year of priestly ministry in the 9th seven years of life. This is a year of spiritual emphasis. It is a year to take a priestly posture as it concerns relationship with God and men.

Year 59 is a book of James year. James, is the 59th book of the Bible; and takes a stand against superficiality. James exposes the power of the hidden tongue. James brings to light the hidden power of prayer and the reason behind unanswered prayers. James shows the importance of Prayer in a 59th season. James 5:13-18 says, “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. [14] Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. [15] And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. [16] Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. [17] Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. [18] And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit”. In this season, God is interested in the life beneath the surface. He wants authenticity. It is a season to make your faith practical – a season to match walk with talk. It is a season to pray “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteousness man” that avails much. Take time to read the book of James. It is the guiding light for the 59th year.

The 59th year is a 59th-chapters-of-the-Bible year. The 59th chapters of the Bible reveal that the 59th seasons is a season of intense pressure requiring God’s mercy, intervention and salvation, for those who trust in Him. The 59th year is a season of intense spiritual warfare. Psalm 59 is a cry to God for intervention. Isaiah 59 shows, firstly, the reason prayers may not be answered in a 59th season; but also shows how the mercy of God can transcend merit or human efforts. Isaiah 59:15-20 says, “So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Then the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice. [16] He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him. [17] For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak. [18] According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries, Recompense to His enemies; The coastlands He will fully repay. [19] So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him. [20] “The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” Says the LORD”.

The 59th year is a First Samuel 11-15 year in the 9th seven years of life. The ninth book of the Bible is the guiding light for the 9th seven years (57-63) and the third five chapters of the book are applicable to the third year in the ninth seven years. These five chapters indicate that the 59th year is a season of battles. There are four accounts of war in the five chapters. They also show the importance of listening to the Voice of God in the season. In the eleventh chapter, Saul fought his first battle against Ammonites to deliver the people of Jabesh Gilead. Saul conquered the Ammonites and saved Jabesh Gilead in this first battle. In the 12th chapter, Samuel presented Saul to Israel and made his farewell/retirement speech. In the 13th chapter, there was between Israel and the Philistines but king Saul overstepped his bounds to offer sacrifice and jump into warfare instead of waiting for Samuel. That was the beginning of his downfall. Take divine instructions seriously in this 59th year. In chapter 14, there was war with the Philistines and king Saul issued an unreasonable decree requiring soldiers to fight on empty stomach. Penalty for violation was death. His son Jonathan almost got killed for tasting honey. In the 15th chapter, he disobeyed God’s commandment to destroy Amalek. That was the last straw that broke the Camel’s back. God rejected him as king. The 59th year is for the unveiling of platforms. It is for the unveiling of what you have been desiring or looking for. God unveiled the first king of Israel to the Seer but rejected him after he had been anointed publicly. The 59th year is a game-changing year in the ninth seven years. Obedience to God’s word is principal in this season.

The 59th year is a Book of Second Samuel season. The 59th year is the 10th year in the second 49 years of life. This season has it’s guiding light in the tenth book (Second Samuel) and the tenth chapters of the Bible. This is a season of praying and receiving answers. Joshua prayed and received answers in Joshua 10. Saul received the answer to his father’s missing donkeys in First Samuel 10. Mordecai was in power in Esther 10. Cornelius prayed and received answers in Acts 10. David became king in the tenth book of the Bible and had many prayers answered in that book. The book ends with an altar raised to God and with God answering prayer (2 Samuel 24: 25). This is a season to take challenges and see triumphs. Do not run from battles in this season. When David got into trouble in the tenth book of the Bible, it was because he refused to go to war – in a season when kings go to war (2 Samuel 11). The tenth chapter of Second Corinthians talks about “the weapons of our warfare”. The tenth season is associated with supernatural power. The battles of the season are to be fought in the power of the Spirit. God does not want you to be ordinary in this season. The Holy Spirit came upon Saul in First Samuel 10. Jesus gave His disciples power to do exploits in the tenth chapters of Matthew and Luke.

The 59th year is Ecclesiastes – Amos year in the 9th seven years of life. Every seven-year season has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. This third year in the ninth seven years has its guiding light in the third 10 books of the Old Testament. The major prophetic books belong there. This is the year of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and Hosea in the 9th seven years of life. This is a year of seeing, hearing, and declaring. It is a year of taking on responsibility for the Kingdom and the world around you. It is a day of responding to the call to service. What you do with God’s word in this year matters a lot. You must open your ears to hear; and as you hear, you must obey.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each season. This is a year of manifestation. Do not be afraid to take a stand for the Lord. It is a season to come out of hiding and obscurity. It is a year to overthrow oppression and the oppressor. It is a year to establish the humble. As you go through this year, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. As you go through the year,, prophesy an end to something in your life, family, business, community, and nation. This year, be ready to hear His voice and respond by faith. Expect breakthrough. Be willing to sacrifice. Walk by faith! This is a year of breakthrough and pushing through barriers in the ninth seven years of life. This is a year of unveiling. It is a year of answers to prayers. As you go through this year, pray for the overthrow of hindrances. Pray that God will make a way for the manifestation of your hidden person and potentials. This year, remember that when God delivers and manifests, it is for service and production. Do not consume His mercy on your lusts. In this third year of your ninth seven years, opposition will rise against you but will go down. If your 58th year was a year of desperately seeking change, the 59th year is a season of delivering the answers; or for stating reasons why answers may not be given. Pray earnestly and expect answers to your prayers this year.

Never forget that you are not the first to go through this season. Many have travelled through this season triumphantly. You will go triumphantly too. May the Lord bless your new season and age with marvellous expressions of His goodness. Happy 59th year!
