Welcome to the 39th day of the year! Day 39 is the 4th day of the sixth week of the year. This is the first major ’39th’ in the year. The other major ’39th’ is the 39th week. The Bible patterns for understanding the 39th day are 1) the fourth day of creation narrative; 2) the 39th book of the Bible; 3) the 39th chapters of the Bible; 4) the fourth three chapters (10-12) of Joshua, the sixth book of the Bible.
Day 39 is a fourth day of creation day. On the fourth day of creation, God made the luminaries to give light, rule over the night and the day, divide the light from the darkness: and be for signs and for seasons. The luminaries are guiding lights but are also made to support on life on earth. Having guiding lights, heavenly light, is the key to success in the 39th season. The luminaries God made on the fourth day have three classes: the sun, the moon, and the stars. Applied spiritually, they represent the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and wise men and women (parents, elders, teachers, and mentors). These are the luminaries of God on earth. You need them in the 39th season.
Day 39 is a book of Malachi day. Malachi is the 39th book of the Bible and the last book of the Old Testament. The book is about the Lord’s controversies with His people. He raised charges against His people, through His prophet, but they denied it. Six times in the book, the people countered God’s word (Malachi 1:2, 6, 7; 2:17; 3:7, 8). The people had become so blind that they could no longer see what the Lord was seeing and saying about them. Would it not have been better for the people to keep mute instead of arguing with the Lord? In the 39th season, it is better to keep mute and watch instead of opening your mouth to speak rubbish and sin with your tongue (Psalm 39:1).
Day 39 is a 39th-chapters-of-the-Bible day. The 39th chapters of the Bible reveal that the 39th season is a border-season. It is the season to cross over to the other side. It is both an end and a new beginning. Joseph’s time in Portiphar’s house began and ended in Genesis 39. He parted with his garment of slavery in this chapter. He never returned to that house. The work on the tabernacle, under Bezaleel, ended in Exodus 39 with the preparation of the garment of the priests. Job 39 marked the end of God’s first round of questions for Job. The four-chapter story of Hezekiah ended in Isaiah 39. In Jeremiah 39, Jerusalem fell to the Babylonians according to God’s word; and Jeremiah was freed and favored by the Babylonians. The forces of Gog were defeated and destroyed; and their carcasses given to the birds of the air in Ezekiel 39. In the same chapter, the Prophet saw Israel restored to her land.
Day 39 is a Joshua 13-15 day. The fourth division chapters of the sixth book of the Bible are applicable to the fifth day of the sixth week of the year. The distribution of the land began in these chapters.. It is the beginning of the ‘New Testament’ side of Joshua’s assignment in the sixth book of the Bible. In Joshua 13, God told Joshua there are still more lands to be conquered. He mapped out the territories awaiting conquest and possession. In Joshua 14, Caleb received his inheritance which Moses promised him. He conquered his territory and possessed it. Joshua 15 is about the inheritance of the tribe of Judah, the fourth son of Jacob.
Day 39 is Obadiah – Malachi day in the sixth week. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The fourth day of the week is the day closing the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the last nine books of the Old Testament. Today is the bridge-day leading to the New Testament side of the week. The books of ‘the minor prophets’ are part of the last 9 books of the O.T. They are about judgment and promises of restoration.
This 39th day of the year marks the end of a phase, and the beginning of a new story, in your life, family, and nation. Believe and declare it! Malachi, the 39th book of the Bible, is the last book of the Old Testament. The stripes of Jesus ended with the 39th. 1939 was when the Second World War began. It was a book of Malachi year in the 20th century. Whatever you see on this 39th day of the year, declare that ‘the Old Testament’ of the first 49 days of the year has ended; and a New Testament is beginning. In the name of Jesus, declare, today, that your story has changed. The old story has ended. A new day is beginning for you. Today is a day of the dominion of the Voice of God in the nations. Let His Voice dominate in your life.
DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy an end to something in your life, family, business, community, and nation. Today, raise your voice against wickedness and oppression wherever it is found. Prophesy! Prophesy!! Prophesy!!! Today, also pray to be more sensitive in the spirit; to pick up necessary signals that would help you triumph over the enemy and keep darkness away. Today, pray to be delivered from falling into temptation. Pray to be preoccupied with the person of God; and to be focused on His mandate and His revealed purpose for your life. Be careful to weigh every decision in light of God’s purpose for your life; and God’s purpose for the time. Today, proclaim an end to woes and declare the dawn of a new day. Happy 39th day.
