Welcome to the 29th day of the year! Day 29 is the first day of the fifth week of the year. This is a first season day. The Bible patterns for understanding the 29th day are 1) the first day of creation narrative; 2) the 29th book of the Bible; 3) the 29th chapters of the Bible; 4) the first five chapters of Deuteronomy, the fifth book of the Bible.

Day 29 is a first-day-of-creation day. On the first day of creation, God introduced light, separated it from darkness, and established day and night. That is like separating right and wrong, pure and profane, good and evil. God created time on the first day. From the first day of creation, we learn that the first season is a day of light standing apart from darkness. The first season is for self-manifestation. God is Light. He manifested Himself on the first day of creation. It is a season to take a clear stand; to stand for light against darkness. God is Light; and rises against darkness in the first season. Light judges darkness to overthrow it in the first season. The darkness of the first season is often the consequence of rejecting light or truth. The first season is a season of enlightenment; but if truth is rejected, it becomes a season of gross darkness.

Day 29 is a book of Genesis day in a book of Deuteronomy week. Genesis is a first season book and represents the overthrow of anything that is not in alignment with God and His purpose. Creation was God’s overthrow of the status quo. In the book Genesis, God also overthrew rebels – Adam and Eve, Noah’s generation, Sodom and Gomorrah, and the Amorites. Day 29 is a Deuteronomy 1-5 day. The first five chapters of the fifth book of the Bible is applicable to the first day of the fifth week of the year. Deuteronomy has 34 chapters. If you divide the 34 chapters of Deuteronomy into seven days, you get five chapters each for the first six days and a remainder of four chapters for the seventh day. The book of Deuteronomy opens with a review of the overthrows that happened in the journey from Egypt to the Promised Land – the kings and their kingdoms, the rebels among the children of Israel; including Moses and Aaron. In the fourth chapter, Moses challenged the people to cling to God and His Word. In the fifth chapter, Moses rehearsed the Ten Commandments before the new generation of Israelites and reminded them how their fathers committed themselves to obeying God.

Day 29 is a book of Joel day. Joel  is the 29th book of the Bible; and the beginning of the fifth-seven books of the Bible.. The book looks back at destructions and devastations that had occurred in Judah as a sign of divine displeasure; and  calls the people and leaders to seek the Lord with fasting amid threats of more overthrows and disasters – even war. Those who dishonor God in the 29th season are calling for disaster.

Day 29 is a 29th-chapters-of the-Bible day. In Genesis 29, served his uncle for 14 years to marry his two daughters. Although he was tricked in this season to marry Leah, God blessed him with fruitfulness and multiplication. In this chapter, he had four sons from his first wife. Moses consecrated Aaron and his sons in Exodus 29. There, he also gave laws concerning the daily offerings. Numbers 29 is about the offerings at the appointed feasts. In Deuteronomy 29, Moses led Israel to renew covenant with God. The 29th season is a season of offerings when God’s right is recognized and upheld. So, it turns into a season of disaster if covenant is broken. In First Chronicles 29, David led the people to give themselves and their resources for the construction of the temple.

In First Samuel 29, the Philistines rejected David’s assistance in war with Israel. Their decision saved David from fighting in the war that consumed Saul and his sons. Light and darkness do not work together in the 29th season. In Second Chronicles 29, Hezekiah became king of Judah, began his reforms that restored temple worship in Jerusalem and Judah. The 29th season is a season of revival. Isaiah 29 is prophecy of judgment and recovery. In Jeremiah 29, the prophet sent a letter to the captives in Babylon, announcing the duration of the captivity and encouraging them to relax. He also prophesied against those who rejected God’s captivity plan; and those prophesying lies to the captives in Babylon. Ezekiel 29 is prophetic proclamations against Egypt that gave power to Babylon.

The 29th season is a season of blessings for those who run with Go; and a season of curses for those who run against God. The 29th President of the United States died in office. Within the 29th seven years of the United States, President Nixon resigned from office following the Watergate Scandal.

Day 29 is a Genesis – Second Samuel day in the 4th week. Going through any week is like taking a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The first day of the week is the beginning of the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the first 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the first 10 books of the Bible, God revealed Himself as Creator and Caretaker. He chose those who aligned with His purpose for blessings; and reserved judgment for those who disregard Him. The first 10 books began with the creation and fall of the man in the image and likeness of God; and ended with the emergence of the man after God’s heart sitting on the throne of God’s choice nation. David was absolutely loyal to God. He gave himself for whatever God wanted. This is a day of aligning with God and becoming a man (woman) after His heart.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the collapse and end of expressions and manifestations of darkness in your life and world. Decree that expressions of light will triumph in this first day of the week. Today, make a quality decision to receive the word of the Lord and act on it without fear or doubts. Make a quality decision to walk in unconditional love. This is a day of sacrificial (tough) love. Today, take time to hear from God. Do not act without His direction. Follow what He says or shows. Today, seek the Lord against disasters in the week as you come into alignment. Call upon Him for mercy. Today, as a child of Light, take a stand against darkness by choosing to seek God and His ways. Take a stand for repentance and revival. Happy 29th day.
