The Mystery of the 70th Birthday/Anniversary

0

So, you have turned 70? Congratulations!

Welcome to the season of the eleventh seven years of life (71-77). This is also called the 11th prophetic week. Every seven year season is a prophetic week. In this season, you will not give in to the flesh or stumble. It is your season of exploits by the Spirit of God. Sensitize your heart and mind, with God’s word, and be on your guard against the tempter and his schemes. This season, nobody will take what belongs to you; and you will not overstep your own bounds. This season, you will not lose unity and harmony to quarrels, disputes, and division.

There are 6 biblical patterns for this season; and they help to give us a broader perspective of the season:

  1. The Fourth Day Creation Narrative

2. The 11th book of the Bible (1 Kings)

3. The 11th chapters of the Bible

4. Exodus 19 – 24: the fourth p

5. The 11th Seven Psalms (71-77).

6. Malachi – Obadiah – the last nine books of the Old Testament.

1. The 11th seven years is a fourth-day-of-creation season in the Second 49 years. Why is it so? Since it is the fourth seven years within the second 49 years (50-98), it is a fourth season; and has its primary decoder is the fourth day of creation narrative. God made luminaries on the fourth day of creation “… to DIVIDE the day from the night; and let them be for SIGNS AND SEASONS, and for days and years; [15] and let them be for LIGHTS in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; He made the luminaries to “give light on the earth, [18] and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness”. The luminaries were made to keep the earth lightened, organized, and running smoothly. The world would be chaotic without the luminaries.

Why did God create lights on the fourth day; after He had said “Let there be light” on the first day? The prophetic reason is that the fourth season is a fight-back season for darkness and disorder. The adversary comes in the fourth season to rubbish or destroy achievements and accomplishments. He comes to recover lost grounds. The fourth book and chapters of the Bible reveal that the tempter and adversary comes in the fourth season. The eleventh seven years is a fourth-season. It is a fight-back season for darkness; but the guiding-lights God provides by His word, His Spirit, and wise counsel, are the answers required in the season. It is a season to rise and touch the heavens as the luminaries are set in the firmament of heaven; but it is also a season to be watchful because of lurking devils.

2. The 11th seven years is a book-of-First-Kings season. The book of First Kings is the eleventh book of the Bible; and is guiding light for 11th seasons. In this book, Solomon prospered through addiction to God; but later failed through addiction to martial things. He began by seeking God and God’s wisdom; but ended by seeking to please his idolatrous wives and concubines. By wisdom, Solomon administered Israel to greatness. Israel became a center of excellence and a tourist attraction. However, Solomon was not wary of the presence of the tempter. He was king in a fight back season for darkness. His heart misled him to marry many foreign women; and thereby opened up Israel to idol worship. He was a man of great wisdom; a great brain; a great mind; but he was overcome by spiritual darkness because he did not use the light from God’s word. Through Solomon, idolatry invaded the land of Israel; and the nation never fully recovered from that scourge. The eleventh season is duty-season for deceiving spirits; and that should make us very watchful. The kingdom divided in two in the season following Solomon’s reign. Ten tribes deserted the house of David, came to be known as ‘Israel’, Samaria, or the northern kingdom, and were sold out to idol worship. The remaining two tribes, loyal to the house of David, came to be known as Judah or the southern kingdom. The eleventh season is a time to watch against disunity and division. The kingdom of darkness fights with division and splits in this season. In the eleventh season, you must watch against splits within families, organizations, or even nations. It is difficult (not impossible) to maintain unity in eleventh seasons. It happened in the eleventh century with the Great Schism that split the church into East and West. It happened in Genesis 11 at the construction site of the Tower of Babel. It happened in the eleventh book of the Bible. Unity is the strength of eleventh; and so, disruption of unity is the target of the adversary in the season. To respond to the decadence in the eleventh book of the Bible, especially in the northern kingdom, God raised prophets to confront the erring kings and their people. The prophets were God’s luminaries for the season. Ahijah the Shilonite was the first of the prophets. He confronted Solomon; raised Jeroboam and and also brought him down. Elijah was one of them. He confronted Israel, with great demonstrations of spiritual power, in the days of Ahab and Jezebel. Ahab, deceived by his false prophets, died in battle in the last chapter of this book. The 22-chapter book of First Kings is spread through the seven years as follows: 71st year (1 Kings 1-4); 72nd year (1 Kings 5-7); 73rd year (1 Kings 8-10); 74th year (1 Kings 11-13); 75th year (1 Kings 14-16); 76th year (1 Kings 17-19; 77th year (1 Kings 20-22). The eleventh season is a season of great blessing and great testing. It is a season of blessing that can be marred through spiritual blindness and insensitivity. In this season, the kingdom of darkness fights back with deception leading to materialism, moral decadence, seeking alternatives to faith in God, splits, wickedness, and economic hardship. In the same season, God gives helpful light through the law, wise counsel, and prophetic ministry. Be careful to take advantage of Heaven’s luminaries in this season of the 11th seven years.

The 11th seven years is a season of tests. Every season has its thing; and every purpose under heaven has its season. This is a seasons of tests – testing for wisdom, testing for gratitude, and testing for devotion and loyalty. In the eleventh book of the Bible, God gave Solomon a blank cheque to see what he would fill in. He told him to ask whatever he wanted. He asked for Wisdom and passed the test. He was tested for loyalty to God with prosperity and he failed the test. Rehoboam, Jeroboam, Ahab and Jezebel were tested with power. They all failed the test. The faith of the widow of Zarephat was tested. She passed. Elijah also passed the tests of loyalty and commitment to God. Elisha passed the test of faith in God. He forsook everything and followed Elijah. The result of passing a test is blessing or promotion. In the eleventh season, you must not fall into the temptation of doing everything you have the power to do. Give honor to God because He is the Giver of all things; and He is watching you. The Bible reveals that men are not as wise as they ought to be in eleventh seasons. That is the reason the great and mighty fall in eleventh seasons. Do not take what is not yours in the eleventh season; so that what is yours will not be taken from you. The 11th book and 11th chapters of the Bible give this warning. Those who take what is not theirs, always have what is theirs taken from them. Stay humble Recognize and respect the rights of God and men.

3. The 11th seven years (71-77) is an eleventh-chapters-of-the-Bible season. There are seasons when the wise are not so wise; and the strong are not so strong. The eleventh chapters of the Bible reveal that in the eleventh season, men advance greatly but may suffer through mental darkness. The strong king, David, had moral failure in Second Samuel 11. The wise king, Solomon, failed in the eleventh chapter of the eleventh book of the Bible. He sought and received wisdom from God but honored idol worshippers. The powerful prophet, Elijah, ran from Jezebel in the eleventh book of the Bible. The great John the Baptistt, was in prison in Matthew 11. Ghadaffi, the former strong man of Libya, and the former Al-Qaeda chief terrorist, Osama bin Laden, were both killed in 2011 – the 11th year of the 21st century. The 11th seven years of the State of Israel began May 2018 and the story is very clear.

The eleventh seven years is the season of the master-stroke. It is for experiencing either the divine master-stroke or satanic master-stroke. Without spiritual light, the eleventh season is a season of gross darkness and great deception. The Tower of Babel was started and abandoned in Genesis 11. The master-stroke plague against Pharaoh and Egypt was introduced in Exodus 11. Joshua’s victories against the Canaanite kings and nations is recorded in Joshua 11. The chapter ends with “Then the land rested from war”. In First Samuel 11, the heart of Nahash, king of Ammon, was lifted to his own hurt and defeat. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead in John 11. Hebrews 11 is Faith’s master-stroke chapter. God’s two witnesses appeared in Revelation 11; and in the chapter also, it is announced that the kingdoms of this earth have become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ. The eleventh season is the season of ‘the last straw that breaks the camel’s back’ – for good or for bad’. This is the season when people May experiences both breakthrough and breaking point. It is the season of the best and the worst, the greatest and the least, the highest and the lowest, the first and the last. The eleventh season is a season of unprecedented exploits in material and spirit realms. It is also, often, a season of great decline. May the season be, for you, a season of reaching great heights and not falling.

THE ELEVENTH SEASON AND VULNERABILITY: The Bible reveals that human flesh is so vulnerable, and human arrogance reaches the peak, in the eleventh season. Consider the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11, the failure of David in Second Samuel 11, the failures of Solomon, Rehoboam, Jeroboam, the young prophet, and the fall of kings – down to Ahab – in the eleventh book of the Bible, the weariness of John the Baptist in Matthew 11, the 11th century Great Schism in the Church that has lasted 1000 years, or the the fall of Bin Laden and Gaddafi in 2011. Though the fleshly man is weak in the eleventh season, those who know their God are strong to do exploits in the same season. Daniel 11:32 says, “Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits”. The Spirit came on seventy elders in Numbers 11. Jephthah defeated his enemies in Judges 11, Saul defeated the Ammonites in First Samuel 11, Elijah the Tishbite rose and did exploits in the 11th book of the Bible. The first incidence of raising someone from the dead is recorded in the 11th book of the Bible. Jesus cleansed the temple and cursed the fruitless fig tree in Mark 11, taught importunity in Prayer in Luke 11, and raised Lazarus from the dead in John 11. Agabus prophesied in Acts 11, exploits of faith are recorded in Hebrews 11, John’s vision of the two dynamic witness is recorded in Revelation 11. The eleventh season is a time to pray great prayers and be heard. Solomon and Elijah prayed in the eleventh book of the Bible and were heard. Jesus wept and prayed in John 11 and was heard. May the 11th seven years be, for you, a season of strength and exploits.

4. The 11th seven years (71-77) is an Exodus 19-24 season in the second 49 years. The second book of the Bible is the prophetic guiding-light for the second 49 years. The fourth seven years (71-77) within the second 49 years (50-98) has it guiding light in the fourth six chapters of the second book of the Bible. Within those six chapters, Israel received the Law at Sinai. The law was the light (luminary) given to Israel to guide her in a world of darkness. In the book of Exodus, God made room for His people and demonstrated His power and love towards them. The first 18 chapters of Exodus communicates the love of God to Israel. From the 19th chapter, God began to demand commitment from His people. In the 20th chapter, God gave the Ten Commandments. In the 21st chapter, there are commandments about servants, violence, and animal control. The 22nd to the 24th chapters are still laws covering different subjects. Exodus 19-24 are about recognizing and respecting the rights of God and the rights of men. The 11th seven years is for recognizing the rights of God and the rights of men. Men are tempted, in this season, to disregard the rights of others and overstep boundaries. Men are tempted, in the eleventh season, to take what does not belong them. They succumb through darkness. That is the reason God gives luminaries in this season. The eleventh seven years is a season of guiding-lights. The Law was light to Israel. Proverbs 6:23 says, “For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life”. The key to success in the eleventh season is unreserved commitment to God’s principles. It is a season of ‘God First’. Those who do not give God first place in the eleventh season suffer great losses. God’s word must be your only Light in the 11th seven year. Listen to God’s word, genuine and sound prophetic people, and wise people.

5. The 11th Seven is a Psalm 71-77 season. Each year of this season is an expression of the corresponding Psalm. The Psalms reveal what the Lord wants, what the enemy wants and we should handle the season.

6. The 11th seven years is Obadiah – Malachi season in the second 49 years. Every 49-year season has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first 28 years is the Old Testament side of the 49-year season. The remaining 21 years is the New Testament side of the 49-year season. The 11th seven years is the fourth and last week in the Old Testament side of the 49-year season; and has its guiding light in the last nine books of the Old Testament. The eleventh seven years is the bridge-season leading to the New Testament side of the second 49 years. It is the bridge-season connecting the Old Testament side and the New Testament side of the 49-year season. The last 9 books of the Old Testament (Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi) are lights for the season. They are books of tests and trials. They are books of failure, correction, and recovery. May these seven years be, for you, a season of triumphs and recoveries.

Happy 11th Seven Years!

THE 11TH WEEK: Time to Remember Women for Good

0

The 11th week of the year is a special time to remember women for good. Patterns in the 11th book and chapters of the Bible point in that direction – from Jephtah s daughter in Judges 11 to Mary and Martha in John 11.

In the 80s, two US President did something deeply spiritual – perhaps without knowing it: This week in 1987 (March 16), President Ronald Reagan signed a proclamation dedicating the month of March as Women’s History Month. About seven years earlier, in 1980, President Jimmy Carter issued a proclamation making the week of March 8 National Women’s History Week.

This week in 1910 (March 17), Camp Fire Girls was established as the first interracial, non-sectarian American organization for girls. This week in 1911 (March 18), several European countries officially celebrated International Women’s Day; more than 1 million activists from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, the Netherlands and Denmark took part in at least 300 demonstrations. This week in 1913 (Match 13), the Women’s Suffrage Parade in Washington, D.C., took place, where more than 8,000 women gathered to demand a constitutional amendment guaranteeing their right to vote. This week in 1969, Golda Meir became Israel’s first and only Prime Minister. This week in 2006 (March 11), Michelle Bachelet was inaugurated as President of Chile today in 2006. She was the first woman to hold that position.

In this video, I shared some deep things about the significance of the 11th season in relation to women. This week, pray for women, speak up for women, help women get better and do not mistreat women.

Happy 11th week of the year to all women.:

Remember the 6th Day

0

Every dated or numbered season is a time to remember what God did on the day of creation that corresponds to the season. It is also time to remember the book of the Bible and the chapters of the Bible that correspond to the season.

In the Bible, the 7th day or 7th year is a season rest because God rested on the 7th day. This tells us that every day of the week is for remembering what God did on the day of creation that corresponds to it.

The 6th day, week or year is a season to remember what God did on the 6th day of creation. What did God do on the 6th day of creation? What are we supposed to remember on the 6th day, week or year? Six things!

1. God created man in His image and after His own likeness. God created man to be godly. This is a season to shun ungodliness.

2. God mandated man (the godly) to subdue, rule and have dominion over the ungodly (Ephesians 6: 10-18).

3. Celebration of grace – man was created last and yet given dominion over the rest of creation.

4. God blessed man with fruitfulness and multiplication. It is a season to think multiplication (Genesis 6:1; 2 Kings 6:1; Acts 6:1)

5. God provided for man without man asking or praying for food. This is not a season of anxiety for provisions (Matthew 6: 25-33).

6. God communicated His plan to man. This is a season of wisdom and success through communion with God.

NIGERIA: PRAYING INTO JANUARY 8- 14 (THE 2ND WEEK OF THE YEAR AND THE 15TH WEEK OF NIGERIA’S YEAR)

0

Listen to the Audio

God made time for purposes. The Bible helps us to understand both the timing of purposes and the purpose of each time. We shall be watching and praying into the second week of the year as a gate of time for purposes.

The basic Biblical patterns for understanding the second week and all second seasons are

  1. The narrative of the second day of creation.
  2. The second book of the Bible
  3. The second chapters of the Bible.

The patterns in the Bible indicate that

1. The second season is for thwarting evil monopolies and breaking controlling power and unleashing opportunities and freedom. Oppressive monopolies are very active in the second season. On the second day of creation, God created the firmament to destroy the monopoly of the waters that made it impossible for other things to exist.

2. The second season is for releasing help and helpers to make a way where there is none. The second chapters of the Bible illustrate this. God made woman to be man’s help in Genesis 2. Women saved and helped Moses in Exodus 2. God used Rahab to help the spies in Joshua 2. Ruth met Boaz in Ruth 2 where God began to make way for her. In First Samuel 2, Hannah sang of God making a way for the poor and the beggar to sit with princes. Bathsheba intervened to make way for her son, Solomon to become king in First Kings 2. Elijah and Elisha found a way across Jordan in Second Kings 2 before the prophet was transported out of this world. God made a way for Nehemiah before the King in Nehemiah 2. God made way for Esther to become queen in Esther 2. Mordecai and Esther helped save the king’s life in Esther 2. Daniel and his friends solved the king’s problem and escaped death in Daniel 2. Baby escaped death in Matthew 2. Jesus turned water into wine in John 2. The Helper (the Holy Spirit) came in Acts 2. Woman are key players in the second chapters of the Bible because they ought to be key players in the second season.

3. The second season is for miraculous Intervention in tough situations. It is a season of exploits through the wisdom and power of God. The Lord intervened for Elijah and Elisha in the crossing of the Jordan in Second Kings 2.

4. The second season is for escapes from death. The spirit of death goes to work in second seasons. God warned man about death in Genesis 2:15-17. That is the first mention of death in the Bible. Many second chapters of the Bible are about escape from death. Moses escaped death in Exodus 2. Elijah escaped death in Second Kings 2. Daniel and his friends escaped death in Daniel 2. King Ahasuerus escaped death in Esther 2. Jesus escaped death in Matthew 2. Epaphroditus escaped death in Philippians 2. The spirit of death attacked Eastern Nigeria in the second 7 years of Nigeria with the Civil War.

PRAYER POINTS FOR THE SECOND WEEK

1. Pray that evil road-blocks will be dismantled as people return to work in the new year. Pray that the Lord will destroy evil monopolies oppressing people and working against God’s purposes in the nations.

2. Pray that the Lord will position helpers for His people this week. Pray that the Lord will send help to His people in the nations – among the persecuted and oppressed.

3. Pray that the Helper, the Holy Spirit, will help God’s people in their different circumstances this week. Pray that the spirit of revelation will work in us as it did in Daniel 2 and as it did for Joseph and Mary in Matthew 2.

4. Pray that the second week will be a week of escapes from death for God’s people in the nations – as Moses escaped in Exodus 2, as the spies escaped in Joshua 2, as King Ahasuerus escaped in Esther 2, as Daniel and his friends escaped death in Daniel 2, as Jesus escaped in Matthew 2 and as Epaphroditus escaped in Philippians 2.

BIBLE READING SUGGESTIONS
The second week of the year is a Book of Exodus week. You may read the second book of the Bible as follows or as the Holy Spirit leads you:

January 8: Exodus 1-6
January 9: Exodus 7-12
January 10: Exodus 13-18
January 11: Exodus 19-24
January 12: Exodus 25-30
January 13: Exodus 31-35
January 14: Exodus 36-40

You may also choose to read the (61) second chapters of the Bible. They are Way – Maker chapters and are applicable to the week.

THE 15TH WEEK OF NIGERIA’S YEAR

The 15th week is the beginning of the third seven weeks of Nigeria’s year. Going through this third seven weeks is like going through the third 7 books of the Bible (Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalm, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes). It is also like going through the third seven chapters of the books of the Bible like Genesis 15-21, Exodus 15-21, Joshua 15-21, John 15-21 and Acts 15-21, etc.

The fifteenth week is a turning-point. It is the beginning of a game-changing season. The 15th book and 15th chapters of the Bible reveal that the 15th season is when the line is drawn between the old and the new. It is a season of celebration.

2.. It is a season for the fulfillment of the word of God. God sent Saul to fulfill His word concerning Amalek in First Samuel 15. The proclamation fulfilled the prophecy of Jeremiah. The prophecy about the restoration of the tabernacle of David saw fulfillment at the First Jerusalem Council in Acts 15. Even the revolution of Absalom was a fulfilment of Nathan’s prophecy.

Ezra, the 15th book of the Bible, opens with the written proclamation of Cyrus ending Babylonian captivity of the Jews; and initiating the rebuilding of the temple at Jerusalem. It is in Genesis 15 that God began to speak to Abraham about his children and descendants. In Exodus 15, Miriam led Israel to sing to God after crossing the Red Sea. God rejected Saul from being king in First Samuel 15. Absalom’s revolution against his father, David, began in Second Samuel 15. The reforms of Asa began in Second Chronicles 15. Gentile believers were officially recognized and received into the Church in Acts 15.

3. The 15th season is a season of revival – revival of godliness or ungodliness. First Corinthians 15 is about resurrection. The 15th season should be for the revival and resurrection of the Word but the enemy also takes advantage of the season. The Bible was first printed in the 15th century. In 2015, the United Kingdom had the Brexit Referendum. The same year, the United States legalized same-sex marriage. The administration of Yakubu Gowon was toppled in 1975, the 15th year of Nigeria. Islam is in her 15th century and is seeking world dominion. Buhari is Nigeria’s 15th National Leader and the Fulanis and Muslims seem to be having a revival. The 15th National Leader was called to revive good in Nigeria but like Saul, in First Samuel 15, he is sparing Agag and the Amalekites he should destroy.

PRAYER POINTS FOR THE 15TH WEEK

1. Thank God that we have crossed the Red Sea of our current year in the 14th week.

2. Prophesy and declare that Nigeria has come into a game-changing season in her current year.

3. Pray that evil shall not overtake the good as Absalom overthrew David. Pray against the revival of wickedness. Pray against the overthrow of what is good in this season. This season should be for the overthrow of the enemy. Pray against the enemy having a revival in this week.

SCRIPTURE FOR THE WEEK

Acts 15:16: “After this I will return And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up”.

WORD & PRAYER FOR THE 2ND WEEK OF THE YEAR (JANUARY 8- 14)

3

As we come into the second week of the year, let us give thanks to God for His love and faithfulness in the first week.

Psalm 100:4-5 says, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations”.

As we pray into the second week of the year, here are four things we must keep in mind:

1. The second season is for thwarting evil monopolies and breaking controlling power and unleashing opportunities and freedom. Oppressive monopolies are very active in the second season. On the second day of creation, God created the firmament to destroy the monopoly of the waters that made it impossible for other things to exist. In the second book of the Bible Egypt (with her Pharaoh) was an oppressive monopoly.

It is interesting that women appear as key players in many second chapters of the Bible. They are important gatekeepers and watchers this season. Moses was a monopoly-breaker in the second book of the Bible but his mom, sister, Pharaoh’s daughter and Jethro’s daughters were there to help him in the second chapter of the book.

3. The second season is for miraculous Intervention in tough situations. It is a season of exploits through the wisdom and power of God. The Lord intervened for Elijah and Elisha in the crossing of the Jordan in Second Kings 2. In the same chapter, God used Elisha to heal a barren land. For those who believe in the supernatural, this is a week to pray for, and expect, miraculous intervention in certain matters.

4. The second season is for escape from death. The spirit of death goes to work in second seasons. God warned man about death in Genesis 2:15-17. That is the first mention of death in the Bible. Many second chapters of the Bible are about escape from death. Moses escaped death in Exodus 2. Elijah escaped death by departing the earth in Second Kings 2. Daniel and his friends escaped death in Daniel 2. King Ahasuerus escaped death in Esther 2. Jesus escaped death in Matthew 2. Epaphroditus escaped death in Philippians 2. The spirit of death visits nations going through the second 49 years (sometimes, second seven years). It may come through war, violence or other kinds of disaster.

PRAYER POINTS FOR THE SECOND WEEK

1. Pray that evil road-blocks will be dismantled as people return to work in the new year. Pray that the Lord will destroy evil monopolies oppressing people and working against God’s purposes in the nations.

2. Pray that the Lord will position helpers for His people in their different circumstances this week. Pray that the Lord will send help to His people in the nations – among the persecuted and oppressed.

3. Pray that the Helper, the Holy Spirit, will help God’s people in the nations this week. Pray that the spirit of revelation will work in us as it did in Daniel 2; and as it did for Joseph and Mary in Matthew 2. Let hidden things be revealed this week.

5. Pray for women (wives, mothers, grandmothers, daughters and sisters) to occupy their places in families, communities and nations this week. Pray also that the Lord will protect them.

BIBLE READING SUGGESTIONS

The second week of the year is a Book of Exodus week. You may read the second book of the Bible as follows or as the Holy Spirit leads you:

January 8: Exodus 1-6
January 9: Exodus 7-12
January 10: Exodus 13-18
January 11: Exodus 19-24
January 12: Exodus 25-30
January 13: Exodus 31-35
January 14: Exodus 36-40

You may also choose to read the (61) second chapters of the Bible. They are Way – Maker chapters and are applicable to the week.

VERSE FOR THE WEEK

1 Samuel 2:10: “The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. “He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed” (NKJV).

WORD & PRAYER FOR THE FIRST WEEK OF THE YEAR (JANUARY 1-7)

0

Thanks be to God Who led us through the thick and thin of the past year and brought us into this new year. All glory to Him!

Stepping into a new year is like stepping into the unknown but all things are naked and bare before our God (Hebrews 4:13). He may not reveal everything to us but He has promised NEVER to leave or forsake us (Matthew 28:20; Hebrews 13: 5-6). That is a more sure word of prophecy. Moreover, the God of the last year is the same God in the New Year (Hebrews 13:8).

THE MYSTERY OF THE FIRST WEEK OF THE YEAR

As we seek to pray into this week, let me share some insights about the season:

A. The first week of the year is a very strategic time-gate in the year. It is the week that opens the womb of the year. As “the opener of the womb”, it belongs to the Lord. It is true that all times belong to Him but He has a special claim on the first (Exodus 13: 1-2; Proverbs 3: 9-10). God is First and the first belongs to Him. This a week to honour the Lord specially as the Owner and Giver of time. Honour Him through Worship, Thanksgiving, Praise, spending time in His Word and Obedience. This is a season to give Him special attention.

PRAYER: Pray that you will not be distracted from giving the Lord the honour due to Him in this season. Break the ‘alabaster’ before Him for Who He is and for all He had done.

B. The first week of the year is a first day of creation season (Genesis 1: 3-5). On the first day of creation, God declared war against by speaking light into existence. This is week to speak LIGHT into the year. This is a week to everything that represents light – the presence of God, the word of God, wisdom knowledge and righteousness. Give no room to the works of darkness. This is a week to take steps to free year from the influence of the powers of darkness.

PRAYER: Speak LIGHT into the year as God did on the first day of creation. Pray that His Light will dominate in the nations. Pray that things covered by darkness will be uncovered and neutralized.

C. The first week of the year is a Book of Genesis season. It is a foundation-week in the year. As the Book of Genesis is the foundation of the Bible, that is how the first week of the year is the foundation of the year. The first week of the year is a season to guard jealously for God and for yourself. Use it to lay a solid foundation for the year (Luke 6: 47-49). The first part of the foundation is to put God first (Psalm 127:1). Put good works in the foundation too (Luke 6: 31).

PRAYER: Pray to be guided by the Spirit to lay the right foundation for the year. Pray against deadly visitations in the nations in this first week of the year – such visitations as seen in first book of the Bible (Genesis 3, 4, 7 and 19). Do not give room to the tempter.

As book of Genesis season, I will suggest reading through the book of Genesis as follows:

January 1: Genesis 1-8
January 2: Genesis 9-15
January 3: Genesis 16-22
January 4: Genesis 23-29
January 5: Genesis 30-36
January 6: Genesis 37-43
January 7: Genesis 44-50

D. In 2024, the first week of the year is a Jeremiah Chapter 1 week. Jeremiah is the 24th book of the Bible and is Guiding Light for 2024. As Jeremiah consists of 52 chapters, there are 52 weeks in a year. So you can take a chapter for a week. In the first chapter of Jeremiah, the word of the Lord came to the prophet revealing what He wanted Jeremiah to be and do. In this Jeremiah chapter 1 week, I pray the Lord will speak to you about you!

PRAYER: Pray that the Lord will reveal His heart to you and show you the person He wants you to be and the work He wants you to do for Him in 2024.

E. The first week of the year is a week of beginnings and endings. It is a documented fact that the deadliest season of any year is the first week of the year. The happenings of the first week have a great impact in the year. In this week of 2020, on the third day of the week, the US killed a top Iranian General, Qassem Soleimani, in a targeted air-strike near Iraqi airport. Iran vowed ‘severe revenge’ and the US threatened to do more harm. That was a week of pain for Iran and a week of fear and anxiety, over war, for the world. This same week, in 2024, almost 100 were killed (and many more wounded) in a drone strike in Iran in a gathering to commemorate the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani.

PRAYER: Pray for the overthrow of the evil and the wicked in the nations this week (Genesis 6: 5-7).

Happy New Year to you and all yours! Have a greatly blessed first week of the year.

20 Special 2024-PRAYERS for you

0

One of the ways to prepare for a new year is to spend time in prayer – for those who believe in prayer. This will prepare and position your heart to discern God’s will and align with the same. Prayer will engage the power of God to go ahead of you and work in your favour. Prayer will connect you to the people and things you need or desire. Prayer will frustrate and neutralize forces that are set against you.

Biblical patterns for the 24th year of the 21st century indicate that prayer is key to receiving the blessings of 2024. Abraham’s servant prayed to God before he met Rebekah in Genesis 24. Psalm 24 is an encouragement to pray. It tells us that the earth and its resources, with the world and those who dwell in it, belong to God. Speaking to God is a principal way to get the things, and reach the people, you want. As the Owner of the earth and the world, God can connect you to anything and anyone you need or desire. The 24th book of the Bible encourages us to pray. In verse 27 of the 32nd chapter, God said to Jeremiah, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me”. Luke 24 is another encouragement to pray. The resurrection of Jesus is recorded in that chapter. He was raised from the dead by the power of God. In Luke 24:49, Jesus spoke to His disciples about tarrying in the city of Jerusalem until they had been endued with “power from on high”.

2024 is a year to pray and prove that the earth, its resources and dwellers belong to God as Psalm 24 says. This is a year to demonstrate, through prayer, that nothing is too difficult for God to handle as the 24th book of the Bible (Jeremiah) says in 32: 17, 26-27. This is a year to draw “power from on high”, through prayer and obedience, to shape circumstances on earth.

Below are 20 prayers for you concerning 2024. Please, don’t just read them and say ‘Amen’. Personalize each and pray them over yourself throughout the year.

1. May you be an answer to a great prayer in 2024 as Rebekah was in Genesis 24. May God give you selfless helpers as He gave to Abraham in Genesis 24. May all who count on you this 2024, as Abraham relied on his servant in Genesis 24, never be disappointed. If you are a Rebekah, may God take you to your Isaac. If you are an Isaac, may the Lord bring your Rebekah to you

2. May your dwelling in 2024 be on the mountain of God’s presence as it was for Moses in Exodus 24. This year, may you be where God wants you to be to receive what He wants to give you.

3. May your life never blaspheme the name of the Lord in 2024 like the child of a mixed marriage who blasphemed God in Leviticus 24. This year, may you have grace, like Aaron, to see that the lamp of the Lord burns continually through your life – in your family and neighborhood.

4. This 2024, may you be separated from, and never be in partnership with, the enemies of God who seek the failure of God’s purpose. Like Balaam in Numbers 24, may you walk away from every Balak in 2024.

5. As God gave commandments to Israel in Deuteronomy 24, may 2024 be your year of walking in purity, justice and kindness before God. May rebellion against God never find a place in your life in 2024.

6. Like Joshua in Joshua 24, may the year 2024 be a special year of turning away from every distraction to serve God with your family.

7. This 2024, may those who desperately seek to harm you, fall shamefully before you as king Saul was disgraced before David in First Samuel 24. This year, the Lord will fight for you and save you from seeking vengeance for yourself.

8. This 2024, may the Lord keep you from wrong decisions that will cost life or lives or lead to other costly wastage; and if there are mistakes, may the Lord show you mercy and turn it around for His purpose as it happened to David in Second Samuel 24.

9. May the Lord deliver you, this 2024, from anything that will make you fall before your enemies or be their captive as it happened to Judah and Jerusalem in 2 Kings 24. May the Lord stop the ungodly who will fight to prevail against you.

10. May the Lord guide you, this 2024, to take your place in the House of God as His priest and devoted servant – just as the sons of Aaron had their places in the Tabernacle in First Chronicles 24.

11. As king Joash and Jehoiada worked together to repair the house of God in Second Chronicles 24, may the Lord give you grace, in 2024, to focus on repairing the house of God in your life. May you have grace to end the year with strength and soundness. May the Lord keep you from acting like king Joash who went from good to bad in Second Chronicles 24.

12. This 2024, may the Lord deliver you from violent men who seek possession of what is not their own as mentioned in Job 24. May their portion be given to them this year. Job 24:1-2, 11, 15, 19-22, 24

13. May the Lord grant you to walk in the light of Psalm 24: 1-2 in the year 2024. In all you do, may you never forget that the earth and all its fullness is the Lord’s; and that the world and those who dwell in it are also His own. May strong gates and doors open before you this 2024.

14. May the Lord deliver you from the path of foolishness, wickedness, craftiness and laziness in 2024. May His wisdom be your strength. May you never fall below the divine counsels in Proverbs 24.

15. May the Lord deliver you and all yours, this 2024, from the kind of devastation proclaimed in Isaiah 24. May the Lord help you to walk the path of blessings in 2024 and steer clear the way of curses and destruction.

16. As Jeremiah had a vision of the basket of good figs and basket of bad figs in Jeremiah 24, may you never be numbered among the ill-favored bad figs in 2024. May you never be among those marked for destruction in 2024.

17. May the Lord be gracious to you and all yours in 2024 and hide you in His Goshen. May He cover you from the woes and pains of the season. May the Blood of Jesus protect you and all yours from the Ezekiel 24 kind of judgment and pain.

18. May the Lord give you understanding concerning the season of 2024; as Jesus guided His disciples to understand the times in Matthew 24. May the Lord help you to be sensitive and watchful in this 2024 season as Jesus calls us to watch in Matthew 24.

19. May the Lord give you a resurrection-type turnaround in 2024 as Jesus rose from the dead in Luke 24. May this year be a season of restoration of spiritual sight as the Lord opened the eyes of the disciples on the road to Emmaus.

20. May the Lord silence your accusers and persecutors in 2024. May their voices crack and never be heard. May all who resist you or fight against you in 2024 be put to shame like the enemies of Paul in Acts 24.

Have a blessed 2024!

DECEMBER 12, 1991: A MAJOR TIME-GATE IN NIGERIA

0

VIDEO: The Prophetic Significance of December 12 in Nigeria

Time is a gate. Everything that happens under heaven (good or bad) passes through a gate of time. The book of Ecclesiastes helps us to understand this.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 says, “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: [2] A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; [3] A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; [4] A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; [5] A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; [6] A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; [7] A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; [8] A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace”.

Like all other gates, if a gate of time is not properly manned (or guarded), the devil will take advantage of the negligence; cause harm, and even make the righteous victims. One way to weaken the enemy is to know the time of his operation.

Ecclesiastes 9:12 says, “For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, Like birds caught in a snare, So the sons of men are snared in an evil time, When it falls suddenly upon them”. Jesus taught it. Matthew 24:43 says, “But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into”.

Let us awaken to time!!!

At the beginning of Nigeria’s 12th seven years (from amalgamation), on the 12th day of the 12th month, in 1991, something significant and remarkable happened in Nigeria. The seat of the Federal Government of Nigeria moved from Lagos to Abuja. Although the FCT was established February 3, 1976, it took 15 years to get Abuja ready; and of course, the prophetic clock ticked to ensure the move happened at the right time. The relocation from Lagos to Abuja took place 72 days after the 31st anniversary of our independence. There could not have been a better date for the movement. What made the 12th day of the 12th month of 1991 the right time for that move? It is the spiritual significance of ‘the 12th’.

1991 was the 31st year of Nigeria’s independence and the beginning of the 12th seven years of the amalgamation of Nigeria. Besides other things for which we may remember 1991, this year is significant to Nigerians because of how it helps us to understand the mystery of ‘the 31st’ and ‘the 12th’; and especially, how these mysteries have helped to shape our dear country. It would be helpful to understand, from the Bible, the significance of the moves that took place in Nigeria in 1991. It was the year of the convergence of two seasons: our 31st year from independence and our 12th seven years from amalgamation – like the convergence of the month that changes on the 31st day; and of the day that changes at 12 o’clock.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE MOVE OF THE 31ST YEAR

Things do not just happen; there is a timing factor to all things that happen under heaven. The Bible reveals that 31st signifies the end of the old and the beginning of the new.

1. In Genesis 31, Jacob departed Laban’s house with his wives and children; and ended his 20-year sojourn with his uncle.

2. In Deuteronomy 31, Joshua became the new leader of Israel. Moses gave his farewell speech to Israel here.

3. In First Samuel 31, Saul and his three sons died in battle. That was the end of the reign of King Saul. It made way for David to become king.

4. In Second Chronicles 31, Hezekiah carried out sweeping religious reforms and overthrew idol worship in Judah.

5. Job ended his speeches in the 31st chapter of the book. Job 31 ends with “The words of Job are ended”.

6. The book of Proverbs (the storage of divine wisdom in the Bible) ends at the 31st chapter; and the 31st chapter ends at the 31st verse. That book of wisdom reveals that ‘the 31st’ is ‘the end’. The 31st chapter of Proverbs is the teaching of a mother to her son; and gave much space to the woman. That is a departure from the preceding chapters of the book. Proverbs 31:1 says, “The words of King Lemuel, the utterance which his mother taught him”. The preceding chapters were the instructions of a father.

7. Jeremiah 31 is the ‘New Covenant’ chapter. It is in this chapter that God spoke of ending the Old Covenant and introducing the New Covenant. Read Jeremiah 31:31-34.

8. Obadaiah is the 31st book of the Bible and is about deliverance in Zion and the House of Jacob possessing her possessions.

9. Our calendar teaches the same thing about the 31st: The longest months in the year have 31 days. After the 31st day, a new month begins. No month has 32 days! Change happens in the 31st or right after the 31st!

NIGERIA AND THE 31ST YEAR

Nine new states were created and three received new names in Nigeria on August 27, 1991 (the 31st year). They are Abia, Adamawa, Anambra, Edo, Enugu, Delta, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kogi, Osun, Taraba, and Yobe. It was a new day for the 12 states.

The move from Lagos to Abuja happened in the 31st year from 1960 – our year of independence.

When the 31st year of Nigeria arrived, the Angel of God over Nigeria pressed the change-button. The Federal Capital Territory in Abuja would be in her 31st year from December 13, 2021 – December 12 2022. It should be another season of change in Nigeria. May the Lord grant us needed change in this season.

Having seen the mystery of ‘the 31st’, let us move on to consider the significance of ‘the 12th’.

THE MYSTERY OF THE 12TH DAY OF THE 12TH MONTH

The FCT-in-Abuja dream became reality on the 12th day of the 12th month of 1991, the beginning of the 12th seven years of the amalgamation of Nigeria. What does the Bible reveal about the 12th? We must not confuse ‘12’ with ‘12th’. In the Bible, the number ’12’ points to divine establishment or the kingdom and dominion of God; but ‘the 12th’ (which is about position, rank, or sequence) points to ‘shifting’, ‘moving’, or ‘departing’.

The 12th book and chapters of the Bible reveal that ‘the 12th’ is departure point.

1. In Genesis 12, Abraham moved from his native land to the land of promise.

2. In Exodus 12, the Passover occurred and Israel moved from Egypt.

3. In First Samuel 12, Samuel gave his farewell speech to Israel and retired.

4. In First Kings 12, Israel became a divided Kingdom as ten tribes separated from the House of David.

5. In Second Kings, the 12th book of the Bible, Elijah departed the earth by a chariot of fire; and Elisha stepped in with a kind of ministry unheard-of in the land. Change came to Israel and there was also a departure from the dominion of the House of Ahab.

6. In Acts 12, Peter exited Herod’s prison; and that is the last active mention of Herod in the New Testament. Herod died in Acts 12.

7. In Revelation 12, the man-child was taken up to heaven.

8. On April 2, 1972, in the 12th year of our independence, Nigeria changed to left-hand-drive. Nine months later, we changed currency from Pound and Pence to Naira and Kobo.

9. Nigeria moved from military rule to democracy when the 12th national leader, Olusegun Obasanjo, emerged.

10. The 2023 general elections was Nigeria’s 12th national election (from 1959). The country saw a great unfolding shift in politics. The 12th point is a time to make a shift. It is the point of departure.

11. Even the clock teaches that the change from morning to afternoon, and from night to morning happens at 12 o’ clock.

12. The yearly calendar teaches the same thing: The year changes after the 31st day of the 12th month. Change happens at the convergence of ‘the 12th’ and ‘the 31st’.

WHY GATHER TO PRAY ON DECEMBER 12?

1. The timing of the relocation of the Capital was quite prophetic; and it is important that our government continues to move with same prophetic precision. So, we are gathering to pray on December 12 for three reasonsTo acknowledge the goodness and mercy of God over the FCT in her 29 years of existence in Abuja.

2. To pray into the 30th year of the FCT and Nigeria’s seat of power; so that God’s blessings would be upon the seat of power in Nigeria. We are gathering to pray that we may have rain in the time of rain; and that we may bear fruit in the season of fruits.

3. We are gathering on 12-12 of the year to seize a critical gate of time for departures; and invoke from Heaven, a forward-shift for Nigeria; and also to prophesy to the seat of our federal government to move and advance to the desired next level.

2024: A Game-changing Year

Four Biblical Patterns for the Year 2024

The 7 Faces of 2024 (1)

The 7 Faces of 2024 (2)

How to Live Joyfully in 2024

Every new year is a new season and comes with its temptations, troubles and testimonies. God has different ways of speaking to His people about their seasons. He can grant revelations through dreams, visions and impressions. The Bible is full of such revelations (Genesis 41; 2 Kings 8; Acts 11). He can open your eyes as you read His word and show you how the Word you are reading applies to the season ahead. John the Baptist was reading the portion of the Scripture in Isaiah 40 when the Spirit of God opened his heart to understand he was reading about himself. God has also given us patterns in the Bible for every season of man. We can get a prophetic picture of a season by examining the Biblical patterns for that season. Whereas you cannot force the Holy Spirit to give you dreams or visions about any season, you can always go to the Bible, see the patterns for a season, and through the Holy Spirit, discern or receive the mind of God concerning the season. God knew everything about 2024 from eternity past.

A. FIVE BIBLICAL PATTERNS FOR  THE YEAR 2024

There are 5 Biblical patterns that can help us understand what the Lord is saying concerning the year 2024. I always give more than one Biblical pattern for each season so that “By the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word is established”(Deuteronomy 17:6; 19:15; Matthew 18:16; 2 Corinthians 13:1; 1 Timothy 5:19; Hebrews 10:28). When you study a season from the different biblical patterns, you will gain a broader perspective of the season.

Here are the 5 Biblical patterns for the year 2024.

1. The narrative of the third day of creation.

2. The 24th book of the Bible

3. The 24th chapters of the Bible

4. The narrative of Numbers 12-16

5. The third 10 books of the Bible

1. 2024 is a third-day-of-creation year. The 24th year is the third year in the fourth seven years of the century. The third season is the game-changing season. The third day of creation reset the platforms in creation. It was on the third day of creation that the great carriers (sea, dry ground, and vegetation) came into existence. The third chapter of every book of the Bible is the game-changing chapter in the book. The third year in every seven-year season is a game-changing year. So, 2024 is the game-changing year in the in the fourth seven years (2022 – 2028) of the century. It is like 2003 when Saddam Husseini was captured; like 2010 when disasters hit different parts of the world; and like 2017 when Trump became President. The third book and third chapters of the Bible are also applicable to the season.

2. The year 2024 is a book of Jeremiah year. Jeremiah is the 24th book of the Bible and is a guiding light for 2024 and any other 24th season.

In the 24th book of the Bible, God uncovered the prophet in a priest; and established him in his ordination. Jeremiah went from being a priest to becoming a prophet. Jeremiah is the beginning of a new order of prophetic ministry – “the word of the Lord came to me saying”. This is used in about 12 verses of Jeremiah and in 49 verses of Ezekiel. It is not used in Isaiah. This is the season of waiting on the Lord for His Word.

The Lord called Him as a prophet to the nations to uproot, pull down, build and plant. As God overthrew the waters on the third day of creation and established the earth and its vegetation, that is how God plans to overthrow people and things working against His purposes and establish those that will facilitate the execution of His plans in 2024.

In his days, Jeremiah stood for the uprooting of what God was displeased with and for the planting of what Heaven approved of. The captivity of Judah and the destruction of Jerusalem happened in his season and he prophesied it. He stood for Babylon and against Judah and Jerusalem because of Judah’s rebellion against God.  Jeremiah was like a prophet to ‘the Church’ calling her to return to God and warning her against judgment. This is a season to call the church back to God. 2024 is a season of standing for what God stands for; and a season of standing against what God stands against. It is the year of the word of the Lord – not the year of our thoughts and wishes. Confrontation and change must begin in the Church.

2024 is the year of ‘the prophet’. The word ‘prophet’ is used in 296 verses of the Old Testament. In Jeremiah alone, it is used in 87 verses. This is more than 29%.

The name Jeremiah means ‘God is high’ and is very fitting for the 24th book of the Bible that shows God is Final Authority. The 24th book of the Bible (Jeremiah) has 52 chapters –  just as the year has 52 weeks. I suggest that you read one chapter a day for the first 52 days of the year. You can also read and study a chapter of Jeremiah each week of the 52 weeks of 2024.

3. 2024 is a Numbers 12-16 season. What does the 24th year of the 21st century have to do with Numbers 12-16? The fourth book of the Bible (Numbers) is Guiding Light for the fourth 7 years of the 21st century (2022 – 2028). Each year of this seven year season has a pattern in the fourth book of the Bible.  2022 expressed Numbers 1-6. 2023 expressed Numbers 7-11. 2024 is a Numbers 12-16 year. 2025 is a Numbers 17-21 year. 2026 is a Numbers 22-26 year. 2027 is a Numbers 27-31 year. 2028 is a Numbers 32-36 year.

Numbers 12-16 are the overthrow-chapters in the fourth book of the Bible. Miriam became leprous for speaking against Moses in Numbers 12. The 12 spies (except Joshua and Caleb) brought an evil report of the Promised Land in Numbers 13. Israel rejected the Good Land and God sentenced His people to 40 years of wandering in the Wilderness in Numbers 14. Numbers 15 is about maintaining peace with God through obedience to His commandants. The rebellion and judgment of Korah and his company is recorded in Numbers 16. The year 2024 is for the judgment and overthrow of the rebellious.

4. 2024 is an Ecclesiastes – Amos year. Going through any 7-year season is like taking a prophetic journey through the Bible. Every 7-year season has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four years of the season belongs to the Old Testament side of the season and expresses the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three years of the season constitute the New Testament side and expresses the 27 books of the New Testament. The third year of the season is also the third year in the Old Testament side of the season; and expresses the third 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the third 10 books of the Bible (Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel and Amos), God sent His prophets to speak to the people. They confronted the people, warned them against judgment, comforted the faithful, and brought judgment on the arrogant. 2024 is for the overthrow of the rebellious and establishment of the humble and just. How you fare in the year 2024 depends on your attitude and response to the word of God; and of course, the enduring mercy of God. This is a year of prophetic confrontation and judgment. It is also a year of prophetic comfort.

5. 2024 is a 24th-chapters-of-the-Bible year. In Genesis 24, Rebekah was found, and picked from, among other girls to be Isaac’s wife. The thick veil that covered Rebekah was lifted and she was chosen to become the wife of Isaac, the Seed of Promise, and the mother of Esau and Jacob. In First Samuel 24, Saul and his company who chased David to the cave were overtaken by sleep and fell into the hands of David but he spared Saul. In Second Samuel 24, Mount Moriah, which had become the threshing floor of a Jebusite, was recovered and made an altar for God. That was where Solomon built the temple of God. The returnees rebuilt the temple on the same site. The 24th Psalm opens with the acknowledgment of God as the Owner of the earth and all that is in it. Psalm 24:1-2 says, “The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the waters”. God demonstrates He is the Owner of the earth in the 24th season. In Luke 24, Jesus rose from the dead and broke through the sealed tomb. In Acts 24, Tertulius gathered vain fellows to raise accusation against Paul but the false accusers could not prevail. In the same chapter, Governor Felix who denied Paul due justice was moved out and Governor Festus took his place. Every 24th chapter of the Bible is applicable to 2024 and any other 24th year. This is a year of manifestation; and hindrances to manifestation will be removed. New rules against diverse restrictions are going to be made in different parts of the world.

2023 is a year of cleaning and tidying up the house of God in individual lives, communities and nations. Altars taking the place of God in our lives are to be demolished and replaced with the altar of God. 2023 is a year to give ourselves wholly to God. 2024 is a year of desolations. Those who neglected the word of God in 2023 will face the terrible consequences in 2024. The Lord will fight to recover His place among His people and on the earth.

In 2024, God’s charge against His people will be that “they have forsaken me”. There will be a call to return to Him. Some will heed the call but many will harden their hearts. The result will be judgment and desolation. Those who heed the call of God will be separated from the rest. 2024 will be a ‘Rebekah Year’. The Rebekahs of this season will be separated from the familiar ‘house of Laban’ to be joined to their Isaacs in the place of destiny.

B. SEVEN FACES OF 2024

1. Season of ‘relocations’ based on identity & purpose  (Genesis 24; Jeremiah, the captives, 2 Samuel 24). There will be relocations – spiritual, vocational, geographical. The relocation may be voluntary or involuntary. Babylonian captivity of the Jews in the book of Jeremiah was an involuntary.

2. Season of Prophetic Voices – speaking for God (the book of Jeremiah, 2 Samuel 24). This is a year of “the word of the Lord”. It is a year of “Thus says the Lord”. Prophets preach repentance. Prophets call people to return to God. Prophets warn about and release judgment. Prophets speak restoration and give hope.

3. Season of demonstrating loyalty to God & separating from the crowd (Genesis 24; Joshua & Caleb; Numbers 24; Joshua 24; Psalm 24)

4. Season of enduring Opposition and Persecutions (Jeremiah, 1 Samuel 24; Acts 24; Matthew 24)

5. Season of battling Falsehood (Acts 24; Job 24)

6. Season of Judgment. There are six unfriendly words used in the book of Jeremiah that may suggest the direction of the year 2024. They are wake-up words. The words are adversity, calamity, catastrophe, desolation, destruction and disaster.

The word ‘adversity’ is used in 20 verses (and in 9 books) in the entire Bible. In the book of Jeremiah, it is used in six verses. This is more than 25%.

The word ‘calamity‘ is used in 46 verses of the Bible. In Jeremiah alone, it is used in 14 verses. This more than 25%.

The word ‘catastrophe’ is used only in four verses of the Bible. The four verses are in the book of Jeremiah (11:23; 19:3; 44:11; 51:64)

The word ‘desolate’ is used in 132 verses in the entire Bible. The Book of Jeremiah (the 24th book of the Bible) has 35 of those verses. That is more than 25%. This indicates that 2024 will be a year of desolations.

The word destruction is used in 109 verses of the Bible (94 in the Old Testament). It is used 10 verses of Jeremiah. This is more than 9%.

The word ‘disaster‘ is used in 38 verses of the Bible. 12 of those verses are in the book of Jeremiah. That is more than 25%. (Isaiah 24; Jeremiah 24; Ezekiel 24

7. Season of establishing servant leaders (Luke 24; Rebekah 24). Season when those who are in alignment with God will experience the power of God to bless.

C. HOW TO LIVE IN 2024

1. Desire and seek proper positioning for the season. Rebekah was repositioned in Genesis 24 through marriage to Isaac and relocation. Moses and his team repositioned in Exodus 24, by the Word of the Lord, to be able to receive what God had for Israel. Joshua called the elders of Israel in Joshua 24 to reposition themselves and the people for the next level with God. In Second Samuel 24, God guided David, through Prophet Gad, to reposition Mount Moriah from hosting a threshing floor to hosting an altar. In First Chronicles 24, David positioned the priests and levites for the work of the tabernacle. In Second Chronicles 24, Jehoiada the Priest guided young king Joash to reposition Judah for God’s blessings by repairing the temple. In the 24th book of the Bible, God repositioned Jeremiah from being a priest to becoming a prophet. What would God have you do so differently as you move into a new season – as an individual, leader, family, business, ministry, church, institution, community or nation? It is very costly to be wrongly positioned in any season. Be ready to go where He wants and do what He wants. You can’t afford to miss whatever God has for you in the new season.

2. Receive the Word, Believe it and Stay with it. Don’t speak your mind or feeling. Stand strong on your identity and purpose in Christ. Jeremiah believed what God told him about his ordination – identity and purpose (Jeremiah 1: 5).

3. Preach and speak the word and call people to repentance to avert judgment. God is jealous that His people have forsaken Him to run after other gods (idols). 2024 is a year of divine jealousy. God is displeased with anything that makes it difficult for His voice to be received on earth in the third season. He wants you to remove barriers and alternatives to communion with Him in this season (Jeremiah 3:1,7,12-15,21-22; 4:1; 8:4-7;15:6-8, 19).

Jeremiah is called the weeping prophet and a prophet of doom because of what God revealed to him and the burden he had to call his people back to God and keep them from judgment (Jeremiah 1:16; 2:13; 5:7,19; 15:6; 16:10-11; 19:3-4).

4. Be ready to stand alone for God if you have to. Don’t go with the crowd.

5. Be determined to endure opposition and persecution

6. Be sensitive. Don’t build what Heaven wants to pull down. Don’t stay where God has left. Don’t defend what God wants to destroy.

7. Be productive per your identity, purpose and potential. This is a year of identity and purpose. God has a name and a purpose for you. The time has come to show who you are and why you exist by the fruits you bear. This is a year of bringing forth what God had put in you.

Happy 2024!

THE MYSTERY OF THE 32ND ANNIVERSARY OF NIGERIA’S SEAT OF POWER IN ABUJA (1991-2023)

0

Although the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria was created in 1976, the seat of power did not move, effectively, from Lagos to Abuja until December 12, 1991 (12/12/1991) under the Ibrahim Babangida administration. Since the relocation of the capital from Lagos, nine leaders have piloted Nigeria’s affairs from Abuja. – 1) Babangida (1985-1993); 2) Shonekan (August -November 1993); 3) Abacha (19(1999-2007); 6) Yar’Adua (2007-2010); 7) Jonathan (2010-2015); 8) Buhari (2015-2023); 9) Tinubu.(2023 –

December 12, 2023 is the 32nd anniversary of Nigeria’s seat of power in Abuja. As goes the seat of power in Abuja, so goes Nigeria. Biblical patterns for each year of the government in Abuja shows that we need to watch, spiritually, the seasons of the seat of power in Nigeria.

The 32nd book and chapters of the Bible help us to understand some things that have happened in Nigeria since the past 12 months. Today, Nigeria and Nigerians are like Jonah in the belly of a fish. We are crying again for deliverance. Like Jonah in the 32nd book of the Bible, the leaders of Nigeria knew the right thing to do but chose to go their preferred way. Unlike Jonah, they make no room for repentance. Like Aaron in Exodus 32, the authorities in Nigeria have given Nigerians ‘the golden calf’ as saviour’. What we have today is like a mockery of the real thing we desire. Read the other 32nd chapters of the Bible to understand where we missed it in the 32nd year of Nigeria’s seat of in Abuja.

Whatever happened with our past, the Lord is bringing us into a new year: the 33rd year of Nigeria’s seat of power in Abuja (December 12, 2023 – December 11, 2024).

Nigeria’s seat of power in Abuja is moving into the fifth year of her fifth 7 years. This is a core fifth day of creation year. It is also a Book of Micah year. Micah is the 33rd book of the Bible.

THE DIVINE AGENDA FOR THE SEASON

What is the divine agenda for the 33rd year and how should we pray? The Bible reveals six things about the 33rd season:

1. It is a time when people meet face-to-face with the fearful things they wish never happens.

Isaiah 33:1,3 says, “Woe to you who plunder, though you have not been plundered; And you who deal treacherously, though they have not dealt treacherously with you! When you cease plundering, You will be plundered; When you make an end of dealing treacherously, They will deal treacherously with you. [3] At the noise of the tumult the people shall flee; When You lift Yourself up, the nations shall be scattered”;

In Genesis 33, Jacob came face to face with his brother, Esau, but there was no trouble because God was with him.

Second Chronicles 33 is about the evil reign of Manasseh and his son, Amon, and what they suffered. Manasseh became a captive of the king of Assyria until he repented and God restored him. His son, Amon was murdered by his servants.

In the 33rd year of Nigeria, Chief MKO Abiola watched the government annul the 1993 election he was announced winner. Ibrahim Babangida stepped down and handed over to an Interim National Government that lasted 84 days and was overthrown by Sani Abacha as Nigeria’s 10th leader.

The first leader to order the use of Atomic Bomb in warfare was the 33rd President of the United States – Harry Truman. Japan saw what they wished never happened – with the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945

Terrorists bombed the twin towers of the World Trade Center at the beginning of the 33rd seven years of the United States. America came face to face with ‘undesired fire’.

The year 1933 was a season of deadly fiery visitations.

In the 33rd year of Ghana, (March 1989 – March 1990), the government suspended Christian activities and public meetings in ‘the freeze’. The ban was lifted November 1990.

PRAYER : Pray that evil and wicked people in Nigeria will run into fearful things they have been running from. Pray that the Lord will deliver the righteous in Nigeria from their fears

2. It is a season to break up camp and move on to the next level and place. It is a season of progressive movement

Exodus 33:1-3 says, “Then the LORD said to Moses, “Depart and go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘To your descendants I will give it.’

In Numbers 33, Israel’s journey from Egypt to Jordan is summarized – according to starting and stopping points. Three words implying motion (move, departed, went) are used 42 times in this chapter. The word ‘camped’ is also used 42 times in Numbers 33.

The death of Aaron at 123 years, on Mount Hur, is recorded in this chapter. His son Eleazar took over from him.

In 1995, the 33rf year of Uganda, the country established her new constitution that made provision for political parties. That was progress.

PRAYER: Pray this year that there will be a progressive shift in Nigeria and for Nigerians. This year, the Lord is prompting Nigeria to move from camping. This is a no-stopping year. The Lord wants us to move and move and move.

3. It is a season of blessing, redemption, and restoration .

In Deuteronomy 33, Moses blessed the children of Israel before his death. In Job 33, Elihu spoke of ransom, redemption, and of a mediator. You do not need any of those three unless there is trouble. They are needed in the 33rd season. In Jeremiah 33, God promised to cause the captivity of Judah to return and to restore Jerusalem.

PRAYER : Pray and prophesy blessings over Nigeria and over Nigerians this 33rd year of the Villa in Abuja. Bless the local government areas, the states, and the Federal Capital Territory. Decree recovery and restoration over Nigeria.

4. It is a season of judgment.

Second Chronicles 33 is about the evil reign of Manasseh. Although he repented, God decreed captivity against Judah because of the sins of Manasseh. He was the longest serving king in Judah and his death is recorded in this chapter. His son and successor, Amon, also ruled and was assassinated in this chapter. This chapter ends with the emergence of Josiah – the reformer-grandson of Manasseh.

Isaiah 33 is about the judgment coming to Zion and to the Plunderer that had not been plundered. The book of Micah is the 33rd book of the Bible and it contains woes and judgments.

PRAYER: Pray that the Lord will bring down the wicked in the nation. Pray that He will raise replacements who will reverse the works of the wicked in the land. Pray against fire disasters from explosions in the cities of Nigeria.

5. It is a season to rejoice in the Lord and praise His name.

Psalm 33 is a call to rejoice in the Lord and praise Him (1-3) for His powerful word (4-12) and for His sovereign and saving power (13-22). This is a season of joy. May the Lord keep pain and sorrow far from Nigerians in this season.

PRAYER : Pray that this 33rd year of the Villa in Abuja will be a year of rejoicing (not sorrowing) in Nigeria. We have wept enough in this country. Let joy overtake mourning in Nigeria.

6. It is a watchman season.

In Ezekiel 33, the prophet was appointed a watchman to warn the people of impending disaster. News of the fall of Jerusalem came to Ezekiel in this chapter. Ezekiel 33 is about the certainty of the judgment. The enemy struck the towers at the beginning of America’s 33rd seven years (2001) – saying, as it were, “where are your Watchmen?”.

PRAYER : Pray for grace to stand on the watch with your spiritual senses on alert. Pray also that all watchmen over Nigeria will be alert and not
slumber in this year. Pray that they watch and promptly declare what they see.
