0

Welcome to a new day!

Let us begin with the FIVE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE DAY: These will help you to view the day from its different angles.

Today Is

  1. 1. July 21 (in a Clear year) but July 20 (in a Leap year).

2. The sixth day of the 29th Week (July 16 – 22 in a Clear year/ July 15 – 21 in a Leap year).

3. The sixth day in the fifth 7 Weeks of the year. (July 16 – September 2 in a clear year/ July 15 – September 1 in a leap year).

4. The 202nd day of the year (from January 1). In this article, this day will be called Day 202.

5. it is a sixth-season day because it is the sixth day of the 29th week of the year.

FIVE BIBLICAL PATTERNS FOR THE DAY

The Bible patterns for understanding this 202nd day are

1. The sixth day of creation narrative.(Genesis 1: 24-31)

2. The sixth book of the Bible (Joshua)

3. The sixth chapters of the books of the Bible.

4. Joel 2:18-27 (the fifth section of the 29th book of the Bible).

5. The second 9 books of the New Testament (Ephesians –Philemon).

Day 202 is a sixth season day. It is a sixth day of creation season. On the sixth day of creation, God created land animals. He also made man in His image and likeness. He gave man the mandate to rule and have dominion over sea creatures and land animals. He blessed man with fruitfulness and multiplication and communicated with man concerning the provisions He made for food. The sixth season is a season of conflict because where there is no conflict, there would be no need to subdue, rule and have dominion. Genesis 1:24-31 says, “Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. [25] And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. [26] Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” [27] So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. [28] Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” [29] And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. [30] Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. [31] Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”

God supports and favors His image in the sixth season. In the sixth chapter of Genesis, God vowed to destroy ungodly humanity. In the sixth of the Bible, God led Israel to destroy the Amorites and possess their lands. They destroyed Jericho in the sixth chapter of the sixth book of the Bible. In the sixth chapter of Second Kings, Elisha blinded and arrested Syrian forces sent to arrest him. In the sixth chapter of Daniel, God overthrew the enemies of Daniel after he survived the den of lions. In the sixth chapter of Revelation, the Lamb of God began to loose the seals of the Scroll; and judgments began. The Second World War broke out within the sixth seven years of the 20th Century and claimed lives. 2020 is the sixth year in the third seven years of the 21st century and here we have Coronavirus. What is it about the sixth?

Day 202 is a Book of Joshua day in the 29th week. It is also a sixth chapters of the Bible day. The sixth book and chapters of the Bible reveal that God seeks men who would represent His intentions and purposes in the sixth season. God’s agenda for the sixth season is overthrow people and things that do not bear His semblance; and then establish people and things that bear His semblance. The sixth season is a season of conflict between the godly and the ungodly in which God gives dominion to the godly. The sixth season is for the recovery of godliness on earth.

The 29th chapters of the Bible apply generally to the 29th week but the 29th chapter of Second Chronicles can be applied specially to the sixth day of the 29th week. In that chapter, King Hezekiah is God’s agent restoring the worship of the true God, according to the Law of Moses and according to the pattern established by David. He led Judah into a revival of faith and even threw it open to the Northern kingdom.

Day 202 is a Joel 3:1-17 day. In the 29th week Joel is the 29th book of the Bible; and the sixth part of the book is applicable to the sixth day of the 29th week. In this passage, God vows to draw the enemies of His people to the valley of Jehoshaphat and judge them there. This is a day of judgment against ungodliness. Joel 3:1-17 says, “For behold, in those days and at that time, When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, [2] I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land. [3] They have cast lots for My people, Have given a boy as payment for a harlot, And sold a girl for wine, that they may drink. [4] “Indeed, what have you to do with Me, O Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia? Will you retaliate against Me? But if you retaliate against Me, Swiftly and speedily I will return your retaliation upon your own head; [5] Because you have taken My silver and My gold, And have carried into your temples My prized possessions. [6] Also the people of Judah and the people of Jerusalem You have sold to the Greeks, That you may remove them far from their borders. [7] “Behold, I will raise them Out of the place to which you have sold them, And will return your retaliation upon your own head. [8] I will sell your sons and your daughters Into the hand of the people of Judah, And they will sell them to the Sabeans, To a people far off; For the LORD has spoken.” [9] Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, Let all the men of war draw near, Let them come up. [10] Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.'” [11] Assemble and come, all you nations, And gather together all around. Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O LORD. [12] “Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations. [13] Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down; For the winepress is full, The vats overflow- For their wickedness is great.” [14] Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. [15] The sun and moon will grow dark, And the stars will diminish their brightness. [16] The LORD also will roar from Zion, And utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But the LORD will be a shelter for His people, And the strength of the children of Israel. [17] “So you shall know that I am the LORD your God, Dwelling in Zion My holy mountain. Then Jerusalem shall be holy, And no aliens shall ever pass through her again.”

Day 202 is Ephesians – Philemon day in the 29th week. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The sixth day of the week is the second day in the New Testament side of the week; and expresses the second nine books of the New Testament. Day 202 is a day to thrive through instructions. The second 9 books of the N.T are mentoring books. The pastoral epistles of Paul are in this section.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy and declare war against the enemies of God. Today, prophesy restoration and blessing on God’s people because of the finished work; and prophesy against ungodliness. Today, show that your primary allegiance is to the God of Israel. You are made in the image and likeness of God. This is a day to commemorate and relive the creation of man in the image and likeness of God. Today, make your way back to the Lord. Even if you’re not a backslider, you can still get closer to the Lord. Today, stand out for God as His representative and look into your life, and look around, for things and areas that need to be conformed to God’s standards. Happy 202nd day!
