Welcome to a new day

FIVE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE DAY

Today Is

1. May 27 (Clear year); May 26 (Leap year).

2. The 7th and last Day of the 21st Week (May 21-27 – in a Clear year/ May 20-26 in a Leap year)

3. The 49th Day in Third 7 Weeks of the year. (April 9-May 27)

4. The 147th day of the year (from January 1). In this post, this day will be called Day 147.

5. A seventh-season day because it is the 7th day of the 21st week of the year.

FIVE BIBLICAL PATTERNS FOR THE DAY

There are five basic biblical patterns for this day:

1. The 7th day of creation (Genesis 2:1-3)

2. Psalm 147

3. Ecclesiastes 12

4. The 49th book of the Bible (Ephesians)

5. The third and last 9 books of the New Testament.

1. Day 147 is a seventh day of creation season. The last day of the 21st week is a season of rest in the 21st week. The work of the week is completed and finished. It is the season to end the week’s toil. It is a day to declare “It is finished; It is done”. It is a day of intervention and salvation. It is a day of receiving desires and expectations. It is a day of jubilation and celebration. Decree, as it is written that it shall be a season of rest; and that every unrest and distress will be arrested. Pray that it would be the end of struggles; not the end of lives.

2. Day 147 is a Psalm 147 season. It is a season to praise the Lord. Four times in this psalm, there is a call to praise the Lord. This psalm opens and ends with “Praise the Lord”. We are called to praise Him for what He does and for who He is. The 147th day or season is a time to focus on God and praise Him. It is a Sabbath-season. The season belongs to the Lord. Psalm 147 is about the Lord – what He does and what He does not do.

a). PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE IT IS GOOD TO PRAISE HIM

Psalm 147:1-6

[1] Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.

[2] The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.

[3] He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.

[4] He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.

[5] Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.

[6] The LORD lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground.

b). PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS GOODNESS

Psalm 147:7-11

[7] Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; Sing praises on the harp to our God,

[8] Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who prepares rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.

[9] He gives to the beast its food, And to the young ravens that cry.

[10] He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.

[11] The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy.

c). PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS LOVE TOWARDS JERUSALEM

Psalm 147:12-20

[12] Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!

[13] For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you.

[14] He makes peace in your borders, And fills you with the finest wheat.

[15] He sends out His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly.

[16] He gives snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes;

[17] He casts out His hail like morsels; Who can stand before His cold?

[18] He sends out His word and melts them; He causes His wind to blow, and the waters flow.

[19] He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel.

[20] He has not dealt thus with any nation; And as for His judgments, they have not known them. Praise the LORD!

Today, spend some time to focus on God – His goodness, His love, and His works. This is a season to celebrate God.

3. Day 147  is Ecclesiastes 12 season. The seventh and last chapter of the 21st book of the Bible is applicable to the seventh and last day of the 21st week. This chapter of the 21st book of the Bible directs our focus to God. It calls the youth to remember God at the right time – before physical degeneracy sets in. The 147th season is a season of evaluation, verdicts, and judgment. The 147th season is a season of results; and God is the Judge and Decision-maker.

4. Day 147 is a book of Ephesians day in the third seven weeks of the year. Ephesians is the 49th book of the Bible and is applicable to the 49th and last day of the third seven weeks of the year. The book of Ephesians is about grace and the finished work of Christ. It is about who we are in Christ and how we should live in the world. This is a day of living from rest.

5. Day 147 is a Hebrews – Revelation day in the 21st week. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. Every week also has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The seventh day of the week is the third and last day in the New Testament side of the week; and expresses the third nine books of the New Testament. Today is a day of the last battle and ultimate triumph in the week. The third 9 books of the N.T are books of correction, recovery, and restoration.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy and declare war against the enemies of God. Today, raise a cry against wickedness; trust in the Lord, hope in Him, and take refuge in His grace and mercy. Today, prophesy restoration and blessing on God’s people because of the finished work; and prophesy against ungodliness. This is a day of “IT IS DONE”. Today, you will have pleasure by seeking the pleasure of God. Today, make it priority to honor God. Obey Him. If you missed it anywhere, repent and return to God. This is a day to go back to Bethel. Whatever you do today, keep the end in view.

Happy 147th day.
