Welcome to a new day
FIVE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE DAY
Today Is
1. May 24 (Clear year); May 23 (Leap year).
2. The fourth Day of the 21st Week (May 21-27 – in a Clear year/ May 20-26 in a Leap year)
3. The 46th Day in Third 7 Weeks of the year. (April 9-May 27)
4. The 144th day of the year (from January 1). In this post, this day will be called Day 144.
5. A fourth-season day because it is the fourth day of the 21st week of the year. It is the middle of the week and bridge between the two sides of the week.
FIVE BIBLICAL PATTERNS FOR THE DAY
There are five basic biblical patterns for this day:
1. The fourth day of creation (Genesis 1:4-19)
2. Psalm 144
3. Ecclesiastes 7 – 8
4. The 46th book of the Bible (First Corinthians)
5. The last 9 books of the Old Testament.
1. Day 144 is a fourth day of creation season. The fourth day is the bridge season of the week. It is the connection between the first three days of battle and the last three days of blessings in the week. It is the examination day in the week. God created the luminaries on the fourth day of creation because the fourth season is the enemy’s season of war through darkness and deception. The fourth season is a season of trials and tests. In the fourth season, the enemy seeks to make the righteous stumble with lies. That is the reason the righteous need light and illumination in the fourth season. The fourth (or the 46th) season is a season of intense spiritual warfare. It is a season to change the landscape of the earth from the heavens. The heavens rule in the fourth season.
2. Day 144 is Ecclesiastes 7-8 season. The fourth two chapters of the 21st book of the Bible is applicable to the 4th day of the 21st week. These chapters show the better side of life and things and how to get there. Today is a bridge to the better side of the week.
3. Day 144 is a Psalm 144 season. The 144th psalm is the bridge between prayers and praises in the 21st seven Psalms (141-147). There are no prayers (only praises) after the 144th psalm. Psalm 144 shows how to move into a new day. To overcome the trials of the fourth (or 46th season), Psalm 144 gives clues.
a). BE STRONG IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF WHO GOD IS TO YOU. You need light about God.
Psalm 144:1-2 says, “Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle- [2] My lovingkindness and my fortress, My high tower and my deliverer, My shield and the One in whom I take refuge, Who subdues my people under me”.
The 144th season is a season of war. Our lives are shaped by our knowledge or convictions about who God is to us. Failure in tests and trials is often caused by a sense of need or lack. Victory in temptation comes from knowing that God is all you need and that He alone is sufficient for all things. In the fourth season, you must keep your eyes and thoughts on the Lord.
What does the psalmist know or say about God?
The LORD my Rock,
The LORD is the One Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle-
The LORD is my lovingkindness The Lord is my fortress,
The Lord is My high tower
The Lord is my deliverer,
The Lord is my shield
The Lord is the One in whom I take refuge,
The Lord is the One who subdues my people under me.
b). BE STRONG IN YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF WHO MAN IS. You need light about man.
Psalm 144:3-4 says, “LORD, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him? [4] Man is like a breath; His days are like a passing shadow”.
Those who trust in men do not know a thing about man. Man is weightless and transitory. He is like a breath – briefly goes in and goes out. Man’s days are like a passing shadow. Trusting in man is like trusting a breath. It is like trusting a passing shadow.
c). BE STRONG IN PRAYER. Prayer is light and lightening against the powers of darkness. You need Prayer-light in the fourth (and 46th) seasons. Prayer turns unpleasantness to pleasantness.
(3a). Prayer invokes the power of God AGAINST unpleasantness.
Psalm 144:5-8 says,
[5] Bow down Your heavens, O LORD, and come down;
Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
[6] Flash forth lightning and scatter them;
Shoot out Your arrows and destroy them.
[7] Stretch out Your hand from above; Rescue me and deliver me out of great waters, From the hand of foreigners, [8] Whose mouth speaks lying words, And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
d). BE STRONG IN WORSHIP AND COMMUNION WITH GOD.
Worship releases the power of God for pleasantness.
Psalm 144:9-15: I will sing a new song to You, O God; On a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You, [10] The One who gives salvation to kings, Who delivers David His servant from the deadly sword.
[11] Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of foreigners, Whose mouth speaks lying words, And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood-
[12] That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth;
That our daughters may be as pillars, Sculptured in palace style;
[13] That our barns may be full, Supplying all kinds of produce;
That our sheep may bring forth thousands And ten thousands in our fields;
[14] That our oxen may be well laden;
That there be no breaking in or going out;
That there be no outcry in our streets. [15] Happy are the people who are in such a state; Happy are the people whose God is the LORD!
Worship is the secret of salvation for kings who go to battle. Ten is the number of earthly dominion. Worshipping God with a harp of ten strings will destroy ‘the ten’ of earthly kingdoms. Worship protects, preserves, and prevails. Deadly swords have no power over worshippers. In true worship, the worshipper dwells in God and cannot be destroyed. In worship, God and the worshipper dwell in each other. The worshipper is in God and God is in the worshipper. No wonder David survived and prevailed in all battles. He was a worshipper.
4. Day 144 is Obadiah – Malachi day in the 27th week. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The fourth day of the week is the day closing the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the last nine books of the Old Testament. Today is the bridge-day leading to the New Testament side of the week. The books of ‘the minor prophets’ are part of the last 9 books of the O.T. They are about judgment and promises of restoration. Today is a day of the dominion of the Voice of God in the nations. Let His Voice dominate in your life.
5. Day 144 is a 46th book of the Bible Day in the third 7 weeks of the year. First Corinthians is the 46th book of the Bible and is applicable to this day. The 46th book of the Bible indicates that the evil one tries to throw people into darkness, confusion and division on day like this. You must watch against it. Let love guide your thour thoughts, words and actions today (1 Corinthians 13). Let the word of God be your lamp and light as you go through this day (Psalm 119:105).
DECLARE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy an end to something in your life, family, business, community, and nation. Today, raise your voice against wickedness and oppression wherever it is found. Prophesy! Prophesy!! Prophesy!!! Today, also pray to be more sensitive in the spirit; to pick up necessary signals that would help you triumph over the enemy and keep darkness away. Today, pray to be delivered from falling into temptation. Pray to be preoccupied with the person of God; and to be focused on His mandate and His revealed purpose for your life. Be careful to weigh every decision in light of God’s purpose for your life; and God’s purpose for the time. Today, proclaim an end to woes and declare the dawn of a new day.Today, move from prayer into praise! It is done!!! Happy 144th day!
This day in 2022 (May 24), a teen gunman killed 18 children and 2 adults in school shooting at a Texas elementary school – Robb Elementary School, Uvalde. Pray against this kind of operation of the kingdom of darkness today.
