Day 139: The Mystery of May 19

0

Welcome to the sixth day of the 20th week. It’s the 139th day of the year! It’s also the 41st day in the third 7 weeks of the year. This is a core sixth-season day because it is the sixth day of the sixth week (in the third 7 weeks). Day 139 is May 19 in a Clear Year; and May 18 in a Leap Year. The 20th week is for magnifying the name of the Lord. The 20th week is about Him – not man. In the 20th season, the battle is the Lord’s; and so, also, is the praise.

The key Biblical patterns for this day are 1) the 6th day of creation, 2) the 139th chapter of Psalms, 3) the 6th section of the 20th book of the Bible (Proverbs), 4) the 41st book of the Bible (Mark) and 5) the second 9 books of the New Testament.

1. Day 139 is a sixth day of creation day in the 20th week. It is a day to remember the day God made man in His image and likeness. He made man to express godliness. He also made other land creatures on the sixth day but they were not made in the image and likeness of God. He made man to subdue, rule, and have dominion over the other living creatures. He made provisions for the man He created and also revealed His plans and provisions to man. The sixth season is a time to measure man by God – in whose image we were made. In this season, He reacts with displeasure against men that are out of alignment. The sixth season is a time to submit to Divine examination. It is a day to rule in the midst of enemies. It is a day to be guided into the will of God. It is a day of the revelation of the plan of God. The sixth book and sixth chapters of the Bible bear witness to these. They are supplementary patterns for this sixth day of the week. Day 139 is a day of conflict between the godly and the ungodly (2 Kings 6; Esther 6; Dan 6; Ephesians 6: 10-17). It is for the Dominion of God’s elect. It is a day of success through instructions. It is day of divine supplies for those seeking the kingdom and dominion of God.

2. Day 139 is a Psalm 139 day. The 139th psalm is about God’s mastery of man. He knows man. He sees man. He made man. The psalmist meditated on the omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence of God, and saw how little and finite man is in comparison to God. Psalm 139 is a ‘You’ psalm. The words ‘You’ and ‘Your’ (referring to God) appear about 30 times in this chapter.

Psalm 139 opens with “You have searched me and known me”; and ends with “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting”. The first searching is about His knowledge of me that I cannot do anything about. The second searching is about His knowledge of me that helps me to improve and get better.

THE OMNISCIENT

Psalm 139:1-6: O LORD, You have searched me and known me. [2] You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. [3] You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. [4] For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether. [5] You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. [6] Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.

THE OMNIPRESENT

Psalm 139:7-12: Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? [8] If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. [9] If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, [10] Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. [11] If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me; [12] Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

THE OMNIPOTENT

Psalm 139:13-18: For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. [14] I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. [15] My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. [16] Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. [17] How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! [18] If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.

THE RIGHTEOUSNESS

Psalm 139:19-24: Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God! Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men. [20] For they speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your name in vain. [21] Do I not hate them, O LORD, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? [22] I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies. [23] Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; [24] And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

Today, weigh yourself in His scale. Get off what you think about yourself; and think less of what people are saying about you – good or bad. Those can deceive. Put yourself on His scale and hear what He has to say. Only what He sees and says about anyone, or anything, counts and stands.

REFLECTIONS

God made all things, sees all things, and knows all things. He made man in His image and after His likeness – to be a maker, seer, and knower. He did not make man for wickedness because there is no wickedness in God.  The intention of the Almighty is to reveal Himself (and His nature) through man; as He did through Jesus Christ. Today, ask the Lord to revive His nature and life in you.

3. Day 139 is a Proverbs 24-27 day in the 20th week. The sixth division of the 20th book of the Bible is applicable to the sixth day of the 20th week. While the preceding section of the 20th book of the Bible is full of assertions, this section is full of instructions. This sixth day is a day to prosper through counsel and instruction. It is a day to wage war through counsel. Take the instructions in Proverbs 24-27 seriously.

4. Day 139 is a Book of Mark day in the third 49 days of the year. The book of Mark is the 41st book of the Bible and is applicable to the 41st day in the third 7 weeks of the year. The 41st season is the problem-solver’s season. Jesus is a Worker and Problem-solver in the book of Mark. On this 41st day of the third 7 weeks of the year, and on this 139th day of the year, receive grace to function like Jesus in the 41st book of the Bible; like Joseph in Genesis 41. Jesus cast out demons and healed many people with physical ailments and disabilities in the 41st book of the Bible. Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dream, decoded God’s message to the king and gave him counsel that saved the future. The 41st season is a season of solving problems by the Finger of God. Today, receive grace to solve problems and resolve puzzles in the lives of men.

5. Day 139 is Ephesians – Philemon day in the 20th week. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. Going through the first four days of the week is going through the Old Testament side of the week. The last three days is the New Testament side of the week. The sixth day of the week expresses the second nine books of the New Testament. The second nine books of the Bible (Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, First Thessalonians, Second Thessalonians, First Timothy, Second Timothy, Titus and Philemon) are books of instructions and guidance. They are guiding light to churches and church leaders. The pastoral epistles belong to this section of the Bible. Today is a day of instructions and learning. Let divine instructions guide your steps. Do not walk in rebellion.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, declare that dominion belongs decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy and declare war against the enemies of God. Today, prophesy restoration and blessing on God’s people because of the finished work; and prophesy against ungodliness. Today, show that your primary allegiance is to the God of Israel. You are made in the image and likeness of God. This is a day to commemorate and relive the creation of man in the image and likeness of God. Today, make your way back to the Lord if you strayed. Even if you are not a backslider, you can still get closer to the goal of expressing the Lord – as His image and likeness. Today, stand out for God as His representative. Look into your life and look around for things and areas that need to be conformed to God’s standards. Today, pray that God’s kingdom comes, by a divine operation, to establish God’s will in your life, family, church, community, nation and in the nations of the world.

Have a happy and tremendously fruitful 139th day!
