Day 131: The Mystery of May 11

0

Welcome to the 131st day of the year! Day 131 is the fifth day of the fifth week in the third 49 days. It is also the 33rd day of the third 49 days. It is a core fifth-season day. It is the fifth of the fifth. Day 131 is May 11 in a clear year; and May 10 in a leap year. The basic Bible patterns for understanding Day 131 are the fifth day of creation narrative, the 131st psalm, the fifth 21 chapters (85-105) of the nineteenth book of the Bible, the 33rd book and 33rd chapters of the Bible.

Day 131 is a fifth day of creation day in the 19th week. On the fifth day of creation, God created the fish to swim and the birds to fly. How do birds suspend themselves in the air? How do fish swim in water and not sink or drown? They are thrusting and trusting-creatures. The birds lean on the power of their wings; and the fish, on the power of their fins and tails. Day 131 is a season for trusting in God. It’s for ‘trusters’.

Day 131 is Matthew – Galatians day in the 19th week. It is the beginning of the New Testament side of the week. It is the day of good news in the 19th week. Going through every seven season (of days, weeks, or years) is like a journey through the Bible. So, every week has a New Testament side and an Old Testament side. The first four days is the Old Testament side and expresses the first 39 books of the Bible. The last three days of the week belongs to the New Testament side; and expresses the last 27 books of the Bible. This fifth day of the week is the beginning of the New Testament side of the week and expresses the first 9 books of the New Testament. The books are about Jesus and his disciples, the Holy Spirit, and the Church. This is a day of good news in the week. The first 9 books of the New Testament are about the love and grace of God. Day 131 is a day of healing, deliverance, salvation, and diverse interventions,

Day 131 is a Psalm 88-108 day in the 19th week. The fifth 21 chapters of the nineteenth book of the Bible is applicable to the fifth day of the nineteenth week of the year. These psalms speak of trusting and celebrating God; and the error of not trusting or obeying God. The psalms focus on the goodness (mercies) and faithfulness of God.

Day 131 is a book of Micah day in the third 49 days of the year. Micah is the 33rd book of the Bible and is applicable to 33rd day in the third 49 days of the year. Micah’s prophecy was a call to Israel to return to the basics of obedience to God through righteousness and justice. Those are not ‘great matters’ or ‘things too profound’. They are basic and fundamental.

Day 131 is Psalm 131 day. Verses 1-2 says, “LORD, my heart is not HAUGHTY, Nor my eyes LOFTY. Neither do I concern myself with GREAT MATTERS, Nor with THINGS TOO PROFOUND for me. [2] Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, Like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul within me”.

Psalm 131 indicates that the fifth season like Day 131 is weaning season. Israel stopped receiving Manna in the fifth chapter of Joshua. When a child is weaned, that child starts eating solid food. That child may cry at first but becomes quiet and calm eventually. The fifth season is a time to submit to, and rest in, the wisdom, power, and sufficiency of the Almighty God. A weaned child learns to submit to the authority of the parents after struggling for a while. In Genesis 33, Jacob was returning to the land of his father’s out of submission to God. He knew he would have to face Esau, but he had no choice. He humbled himself before Esau and made peace with him. He was weaned from the comfort of hiding in Uncle Laban’s house. The fifth season is for walking away from the Comfort Zone. It is time to face reality. I might not be comfortable but I must adjust to change and take responsibility for my future. I don’t know what the future is going to look like but I am hopeful. That is what weaning does. The 33rd President of the United States, Harry S. Truman, was like a weaned child when he stepped up from Vice President position to become the US President;  following the sudden death of the 32nd president, Franklin D. Roosevelt. George W. Bush was president of the United States in the 33rd seven years of the United States. He was the son of 41st president. He was like a weaned child when terrorists bombed the WTC in his first year in office. America was devastated but continued to hope in God. The 131st psalm ends with exhortation to Israel to hope in God forever. Psalm 131:3 says, “O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and forever”. A weaned child learns to trust the mother; instead of his appetite; and hopes that the future would be fine and better. Today, lift up your eyes and tell the Lord you are hoping in Him; and that you would do so forever. Life may cease to be what it used to be on Day 131 but we must continue to hope in God. Day 131 is not for looking back or day-dreaming. This is a day of looking up and looking forward.

DECREE AND DECLARE: At creation, God spoke His will into each day. He made us in His image and likeness; and expects us to release His will into each day. Decree this day that the flesh will not overtake the spirit in your life, family,, organization, and nation. Decree a change in the week and declare that today is the beginning of the New Testament side of the week. As a Book-of-Matthew day, decree that Emmanuel (God is with us) takes over. As a New Testament type day, decree that the love of God will overtake human error and failure. Today, submit to the spirit against the flesh. Walk in the spirit and make no room for the flesh. The fifth season is a season of giving spiritual interpretations to earthly manifestations. Today, make it your watchword to walk in the spirit and obey God’s Word. Walking in the spirit is the key to gaining all. Birds (representing the spirit) fly above and eat from the land, the sea, and the air. Today, cry out to God against oppression and for the pains in your life. Speak out also. Trust Him to intervene in your affairs and in the affairs of people around you. Determine to make a next-level move. It’s time to shift base in the spirit! Today, put yourself on the side of blessing by choosing obedience instead of curses by choosing disobedience. Today, pray for someone going through a changing time – that their faith would be strong and not waver. Happy 131st day!
