July 4, 2025 was the 249th independence anniversary of the United States. This means that America has survived 249 years of statehood. She has gone from strength to strength. This calls for thanksgiving.
The United States has stepped into her 250th year as a sovereign nation. How should we pray for America in her present season.
It is important to first understand the season we want to pray about. I am going to show three ways to view America’s present season.
A. AMERICA’S SIXTH 49 YEARS (2021-2070)
God commanded Israel to watch her 49th and 50th years and to sound the trumpet of Jubilee after the 49th year. America has gone through five 49-year seasons and experienced five jubilee years (1825/26, 1874/75, 1923/24, 1972/73 and 2021/22). A jubilee year is the beginning of a new 49 year season. July 4, 2021 was the beginning of America’s sixth 49 years.
The sixth 49 years of the United States is a Book of Joshua season. It is a season of battles for dominance. It’s a season to subdue, possess your possession, rule and have dominion. America cannot run from battles in this season. This is her season of stepping into her Promised Land among the nations.
America’s sixth 49 years consists of 7 seven-year seasons – from the 36th seven years to the 42nd seven years.
36th Seven Years (2021-2028) – Joshua 1-4.
37th Seven Years (2028-2035) – Joshua 5-8.
38th Seven Years (2035-2042) – Joshua 9-12.
39th Seven Years (2042-2049) – Joshua 13-15
40th Seven Years (2049-2056) – Joshua 16-18.
41st Seven Years (2056-2063) – Joshua 19-21.
42nd Seven Years (2063-2070) – Joshua 22-24.
B. AMERICA’S 36TH SEVEN YEARS (2021-2028)
The 36th seven years is the seven-year season opening the womb of the sixth 49 years. It began July 4, 2021 and will end July 4, 2028. This season has guiding lights in Joshua 1-4 and also the 36th book of the Bible (Zephaniah) and in the 36th chapters of the Bible. This is is a season of invasions. In Isaiah 36, Sennacherib, King of Assyria, invaded Judah in the days of Hezekiah. In 2 Chronicles 36, Babylon invaded Judah. Although the United States has not experienced any direct invasion since the beginning of her 36th Seven years, her allies Ukraine and Israel are at war. So, the United States is at war indirectly. It is important for America for seek God and turn to Him in this season – to avoid the darkness and gloominess of the Book of Zephaniah. Thanks to God for shift following the 2024 presidential election.
C. THE SEASON OF THE SEVENTH 7 PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES
The United States is going through the season of her 7th seven presidents. This season began in 2001 with the presidency of George W Bush. The 47th President of the United States (DJT) is the fifth of America’s 7th seven presidents. Two are yet to come. Since 2001, the US Presidency had been prophetically located in the book of Judges – the seventh book of the Bible. The US Presidents in this season are like the judges in the 7th book of the Bible fighting the enemies of Israel in a season of moral/spiritual declension.

- Donald Trump (Judges 7-9)
- Joe Biden (Judges 10-12)
- Donald Trump (Judges 13-15)

As the 45th President, Donald Trump operated with the anointing of Gideon but as the 47th President, he has the face of Samson. His mission as the 47th President is to fight the ‘Philistines’ who want to destroy America. As with Samson, the enemies of America will want him destroyed but they will not succeed.
NAVIGATING THE 250TH YEAR OF THE UNITED STATES
What will the 250th year of the United States (July 4, 2025 – July 3, 2026) look like? The first thing is to seek to understand the nature of this year because the year will be what it is.
The 250th year of the United States year is the fifth year of America’s 36th seven years. It is a fifth season year. What does that mean? The year has its guiding lights in the 5ths of the Bible – the fifth day of creation, the fifth book of the Bible (Deuteronomy) and the fifth chapters of the Bible.
A. The 250th year will be a year to fight for freedom and act against limitations. It will be a year of limiting and restricting forces but in this year, also, people will defy limiting forces. In the fifth season, the Creator wants people to be free from their limiting circumstances. This is illustrated in many fifth chapters of the Bible. In Genesis 5, Enoch escaped dying. In Exodus 5, Moses demanded freedom for Israel. In 2 Kings 5, Naaman was healed of leprosy. In Esther 5, Esther defied the law of the land and went to see the king. In Mark 5, Jesus raised the daughter of delivered Jairius from the dead, Acts 5.
7 KINDS OF LIMITATION
- 1. Death and Health related limitations: God doesn’t want want people limited by health conditions. The 250th year is a time to battle diseases and fight for the life/health of the people. War against disease is war against death. The daughter of Jairius was raised from the dead.
- 2. Legal limitations. The law and government can become limiting forces. Esther defied the law of the Persians to see the king.
- 3. Mental limitations: This is a year to cross mental boundaries. It is a year to do things the say cannot be done. It is a year to swim against the tide of fear. People will (need to) defy circumstances to live the life they ought to live. This is a time to be driven by the Word of God rather than feelings and circumstances.
- 4. Demonic Limitations. This is a year to set people free by casting out demons.Demons will make efforts to enslave people in this season and make them do what they should not do.
- 5. Financial and economic limitations: This is a year to fight for economic stability. Where there is no money, the people cannot do or be what they should.
- 6. Gender-based limitations. What Esther obtained in Esther 5 was freedom from a gender-based limitation.
7.Physical bondage. Imprisonment is a limitation. People who should not be in
prison/detention but are there should be released.
B. The 250th year will be a year to fight for the spirit against the flesh. Whereas this is a season to press into liberty, the kingdom of darkness will pursue an agenda of gratifying the flesh – via greed, deception, violence, debauchery, immorality and perversity (Galatians 5:13-15, 19-21; 2 Kings 5:20-25; Daniel 5:1-4; Acts 5:1-10; 1 Corinthians 5:1,2). The remnant, the Body of Christ, must press into the spirit and restrain the flesh in the season (Galatians 5:16-18, 22-26; Joshua 5:2-8).
