Day 6: The Mystery of January 6

0

Welcome to the sixth day of the year! The sixth day of the first week of the year has guiding patterns in the sixth day of creation narrative, the sixth book and sixth chapters of the Bible.

Day 6 is a sixth-day-of-creation day. The sixths of the Bible give us light into the sixth day. On the sixth day of creation, God made the loftiest of his creatures. On that that day, He moulded Himself. He made man in His image and after His likeness. He made man to express Him and represent Him. The Creator elects His own in the sixth season. He made His image with dust. Trust God! He makes the loftiest from the lowliest. He gave man dominion over the other living creatures on earth and in the sea – though man was created last . The sixth is a season of conflict in which the representative of the Creator should have dominion. He told man to rule, subdue, and have dominion. He blessed man with fruitfulness and multiplication and also gave instructions concerning what man and animals would eat. God communicated with man concerning the provisions He had made.

Here are six things about the sixth season:

1. It is a season to manifest the image and likeness of God. The sixth book and chapters of the Bible always point to a representative of God in the narrative. Problem’s of the sixth season can only be handled by one who is in the image and likeness of God. The sixth season is the rulers’ season.

2. It is a season to subdue, rule, and dominate rebellion against God. The sixth book and chapters of the Bible reveal that the sixth season is for the Lord’s battle against rebels. It is a season to exercise the rule of God in the affairs of men. The sixth chapter of Ephesians tells us to put on the whole armour of God to wrestle against evil principalities and powers.

3. It is a season to give inheritance and make provisions. The sixth book and chapters of the Bible point to inheritance and provisions for God’s people.

4. It is a season of grace. Man was created last and yet was made ruler over God’s creation.

5. It is a season of great fruitfulness and multiplication. The sixth book and chapters of the Bible speak of multiplication and multitudes. Genesis 6:1 says, “Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them…”.  Acts 6:1 also speaks of multiplication in the Church:  Acts 6: 1 says, “Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution”.

6. It is a season to receive commands and instructions and triumph by them. Noah received commands and instructions concerning the Ark in Genesis 6. Joshua received instructions for things he did in the sixth book of the Bible

Day 6 is a book of Joshua day in a book of Genesis week. Joshua is the sixth book of the Bible. In the book of Joshua, God fulfilled His promise and gave the land of Canaan, a land that flows with milk and honey, as inheritance to Israel. In this book, Joshua was God’s representative enforcing the rule of God; and he led Israel across the Jordan and against their enemies. The sixth season is for taking delivery of the promise and throwing the enemy out of your inheritance.

Day 6 is a sixth chapters of the Bible day. The sixth chapters of the Bible reveal that the sixth day is a season of divine election and vindication. Noah found favor before God in Genesis 6. The law of the Nazirite is recorded in Numbers 6. God gave Jericho to Israel in Joshua 6. He called Gideon in Judges 6. He vindicated Elisha in Second Kings 6. He vindicated Daniel in Daniel 6. The seven deacons were chosen in Acts 6. Stephen distinguished himself in the same chapter. In Revelation 6, the Lamb that was slain began to loose and open the sealed scroll. The sixth day is for the dominion of the just and favored.

Day 6 is a Genesis 36-42 day in a book of Genesis week. The sixth seven chapters of the first book of the Bible is applicable to the sixth day of the first week. Genesis 36 is about Esau an Mount Seir. From Genesis 37, Joseph, the ruler in the house of Jacob, began to emerge. In Genesis 37, he had a dream of being a ruler and shared it with his brothers. They were offended and sought opportunity to kill their brother. Eventually, they settled on selling him into slavery.  By the 42nd chapter, Joseph’s dream of becoming a ruler over his brother became reality. He had become a ruler in Egypt and his brothers came to Egypt to buy food in a season of famine. God makes rulers in sixth seasons.

Day 6 is Ephesians – Philemon day in the first week of the year. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The sixth day of the week is the second day in the New Testament side of the week; and expresses the second nine books of the New Testament. Today is a day to triumph in warfare through instructions. The second 9 books of the N.T are mentoring books. The pastoral epistles of Paul are in this section. This section of the Bible is for “the preparation of the man of God”.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy and declare war against the enemies of God. Today, prophesy restoration and blessing on God’s people because of the finished work; and prophesy against ungodliness. Today, show that your primary allegiance is to the God of Israel. You are made in the image and likeness of God. This is a day to commemorate and relive the creation of man in the image and likeness of God. Today, make your way back to the Lord. Even if you are not a backslider, you can still get closer to the goal of expressing the Lord – as His image and likeness. Today, stand out for God as His representative and look into your life, and look around, for things and areas that need to be conformed to God’s standards. Today, pray that the kingdom comes, by the word of God, to establish God’s will in your life, family, church, community, nation; and in the nations of the world. Today, focus on representing God as His image and receive instructions and commands for your life, work, and provisions. Prepare for war against the enemies in your inheritance. Happy sixth day of the year.

On this day in 2021, there was a Pro-Trump riot in Washington, over the election of Joe Biden, that led to destructions in Washington DC. On this day in 2023, GOP House leader, Kevin McCarthy lost his 12th bid to be elected the 53rd Speaker of the House.
