The Mystery of the 31st Week

2

Welcome to the 31st week of the year!  Week 31 is the third week in the fifth 49 days. The Bible patterns for understanding the 31st week are the third day of creation narrative, the 31st book and chapters of the Bible, and third five chapters of the fifth book of the Bible.

I’ll share 5 broad things here about the 31st from the Bible and contemporary history:

1. Week 31 is a third-day-of-creation week. The 31st week is a third-season week. It is the third week in the 5th seven weeks (49 days) of the year. A third season is a season of overthrows and liberation. The 31st week has its pattern in the third day of creation narrative. On the third day of creation, God overthrew the waters that stood over the earth; and liberated dry ground and its potential to bring forth vegetation. The overthrow of the third season makes it possible for things hidden and pressed down to be manifested. It is the season of ‘the last battle’ in which God sets up, and battles, the oppressor as he seeks to trample and crush the weak and helpless. This week is for reenacting what the Creator did on the third day of creation. It marks the end of ‘the waters’ covering the earth since the beginning of the year. Dysfunctional overlays will be dismantled. Hidden people and things will be revealed; and life will overtake death.

2. Week 31 is a book of Obadiah week. The 31st book of the Bible is the one-chapter book of Obadiah. In this book, God promises deliverance to the house of Jacob after her adversaries are overthrown. In this book, Edom is the enemy of Judah that hurt her in the season of her affliction. The book of Obadiah is prophecy about the overthrow and destruction of Edom. Obadiah prophesied the overthrow and destruction of Edom; and the deliverance and restoration of God’s people to possess their possession. In five verses (17-21), the words ‘possess’ and ‘possession’ are used eight times. This 31st week is a week of deliverance and possessing possessions.

3. Week 31 is a 31st-chapters-of-the-Bible week. The 31st chapters of the Bible indicate the 31st is the end of old things and the beginning of new things. In Genesis 31, Jacob fled the house of Laban by the word of the Lord. The sons of Laban became envious of his wealth and prosperity and began to complain about him. Jacob was no longer comfortable. That was the end of his twenty-year sojourn with his uncle. In Exodus 31, God called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and other assisting artisans, to undertake the work of constructing the tabernacle – so that God would have a dwelling place among His people. God did not put it in the hands of Moses and Aaron to do the work; although Moses received the pattern. Power changes hands in the 31st season. In Numbers 31, God commanded Moses to fight against the Midianites and overthrow them. They also killed Balaam there. The 31st week is a week of divine vengeance. Numbers 31:7-8  says, “And they warred against the Midianites, just as the LORD commanded Moses, and they killed all the males. They killed the kings of Midian with the rest of those who were killed-Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian. Balaam the son of Beor they also killed with the sword”. In Deuteronomy 31, Joshua became the new leader of Israel. Moses gave his farewell speech to Israel in that chapter. In First Samuel 31, Saul and his three sons died in the battle field. That made way for David to become the new king of Israel. In Second Chronicles 31, Hezekiah carried out sweeping religious reforms and overthrew idol worship in Judah. In Job 31, the servant of God gave his last long speech before Elihu took over from chapters 32-37.  He swore and invoked curses to come upon him if he had done wrong. Job 31 ends with “The words of Job are ended”. In the 31st season, the old gives way to the new. In Psalms 31, the psalmist prays for deliverance and against coming to an end. He also prays for the end of the wicked. Psalm 31:15-18 says, “My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me. [16] Make Your face shine upon Your servant; Save me for Your mercies’ sake. [17] Do not let me be ashamed, O LORD, for I have called upon You; Let the wicked be ashamed; Let them be silent in the grave. [18] Let the lying lips be put to silence, Which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous”. Proverbs, the book of divine wisdom, ends in Chapter 31; and the last chapter ends at verse 31. Whereas Proverbs 1-30 are the words of a father to his son, the 31st chapter consists of the words of a mother to  her son. The 31st season is the woman’s season. In Proverbs 31, the male teacher stopped and female teacher took over. Isaiah 31 is a pronouncement of judgment against those who rebel against God. The 31st season is for war; the wicked against the righteous; and righteousness against wickedness. Jeremiah 31 is the promise of return, comfort, and the end of sorrow and weeping in Judah. It is in this chapter also (Jeremiah 31:31-34) that God spoke of ending the Old Covenant and introducing the New Covenant. Jeremiah 31:31-34  “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah – not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”. In Ezekiel 31, the prophet spoke of the overthrow and humiliation of Egypt.

4. Week 31 is a Deuteronomy 11-15 week. Deuteronomy is the fifth book of the Bible; and is applicable to the fifth 7 weeks of the year. The third five chapters of the fifth book of the Bible is applicable to the third week in the 5th seven weeks of the year. In the third 5 chapters of Deuteronomy, God commanded Israel to love the Lord and separate themselves from the ways of the other nations. He gave them commandments about how they must live as a distinguished people; to ensure the continuous flow of His favor and blessings. The old ways of doing things end in the 31st season.

5. The 31st season is change-over and hand-over season. The longest months have 31 days. No month has 32 days! After the 31st day, a new month begins. Seven of the 12 months end on the 31st day (January, March, May, July, August, October, and December). The seventh and the 31st are one. The seventh month has 31 days; and ends in the 31st week. The 31st week ends the 7th month and opens the 8th month.  As the seventh is the end, so is the 31st! As the 8th is a new beginning, so also is the 31st!

After the 31st year of Nigeria, Lagos ceased to be the Capital of Nigeria (December 12). Nine New States were also created in Nigeria, on August 27, 1991. That brought the states to 30, with the Federal Capital Territory as the 31st. After the 31st president of the United States, Herbert Hoover, the Republicans did not return to power till after 20 years (1933-1953). His successor, Franklin D. Roosevelt, was elected for a fourth consecutive term. That was the first and last time a President was elected for a fourth term in the history of the United States. A new beginning followed the 31st President. In the season of the 31st president, the Great Depression wiped out a lot of  investors. Things come to an end in the 31st season. After the 31st seven years of the US (the Reagan/Bush season – 1986 – 1993), a era of unique leadership ended. Ronald Reagan is a reference point in US politics. In that season, the Berlin Wall and the Soviet Union collapsed, and Kuwait was saved from annexation by Iraq. Bush was the first sitting Vice President to be elected President. After the 31st seven years, Madeleine Albright became the first female Secretary of State (1997-2001) in the 32nd seven years. Margaret Thatcher, the first female UK Prime minister, was in service in the 31st seven years of the United States, and she came to power after the 31st Prime Minister from Benjamin Disraeli, the first  to use the title of Prime Minister. In the 31st seven years of the United Kingdom, a number of significant things happened: enfranchisement of women both in the UK and the United States and the beginning of women being elected to the legislature both in Britain and America; the Balfour Declaration supporting a Jewish National Home in Palestine; the defeat of the central powers in World War One. The year 1931 was a year of new beginnings.

This 31st week of the year, I pray that the affliction and oppression of the year will end in your life. I pray also that the life of heavy burdens over your head will be terminated. In this week of mocking the mocker and uplifting the mocked, the mocker will go down and the mocked will be lifted up.. This week, as the Spirit and Word reveal,  I pray it will be a game-changing week; and a week of changing stories. The 31st is for making an end of one episode and starting a new story. This week, proclaim an end and a new beginning; decree overthrow and deliverance. Happy 31st week!

The Mystery of the 32nd Week (August 6-12)

0

Welcome to the 32nd week of the year! The 32nd week is the fourth week in the fifth 49 days. Week 32 is a fourth season week. It is the bridge-week in the fifth 49 days of the year. The Bible patterns for understanding the 32nd season are the fourth day of creation narrative, the 32nd book of the Bible, the 32nd chapters of the Bible, the fourth five chapters of Deuteronomy (the fifth book of the Bible).

Week 32 is fourth day of creation week. On the fourth day of creation, God made the luminaries- the sun, the moon, and the stars. He made them to give light, to rule the day and the night, to divide the day from the night, and to be for signs and seasons. The fourth season is a fight-back season for darkness. So, for the child of God, it is a season to keep darkness away by light. In the 32nd season, the kingdom of darkness attacks men with mental darkness to cause them to stumble and fall. It is a season to garrison your mind with light and think clearly. Submission to God turns on the light for the season; but rebellion against God turns off the light and opens the way for darkness to take over.

Week 32 is a book-of-Jonah week.  In Jonah, the 32nd book of the Bible, the prophet was sent to go and cry against Nineveh for her sins. He failed the obedience test and ran from the presence of God; but ran into disaster. He repented in the belly of fish and prayed to God. The fish that swallowed him vomited him and he went to Nineveh and preached as God had commanded him. The 32nd season is a season of submission to divine direction and guidance. It is not a time to do your own thing.

Week 32 is a Deuteronomy 16-20 week. The fourth five chapters of the fifth book of the Bible is applicable to the fourth week in the fifth 49 days of the year. In the fourth five chapters of Deuteronomy, God gave instructions and commandments concerning feasts, offerings, justice, respect to priesthood, kingship, care of Levites and priests, idol worship and spiritism, prophetic ministry, and cities of refuge. The 32nd season is a season instruction for light.

Week 32 is a 32nd-chapters-of-the-Bible week. In Genesis 32, Jacob prepares to meet with Esau and wrestles with God. He had run from Esau but now must face Esau. He tried to figure out and strategize how to meet Esau; but the best he did was to pray and spend time with God. The encounter changed him. He would meet Esau, not as Jacob but as israel. In Exodus 32, Aaron made the Golden Calf for Israel. He failed the test. They wanted to replace Moses and God and sinned; but ran into trouble. Moses had gone to Mountain to receive the Law and Light for the nation. The breaking of the tablets of the Law meant turning off the light of the nation. People were killed and God also visited the people with plague. In Numbers 32, the Reubenites and Gadites requested to remain on the side before Jordan. They did not want to cross the Jordan. Moses did not like it much; and warned them. They eventually reached an agreement; and still went where they did not want to go. In the 32nd season, people are tempted to choose their own way and give half-hearted loyalty to God. In Deuteronomy 32, Moses spoke to Israel in a song and reminded them of their stubbornness before God; and how that by running from God, they often ran into the anger of God. After speaking to Israel, God commanded Moses to go up to Mount Abarim and die there. The law and justice demand satisfaction in the 32nd season; because sin is remembered in that season. Moses spoke of God’s vengeance in this chapter. In Second Chronicles 32, Sennacherib came against Judah and boasted against God. He overstepped his boundaries. His army was destroyed and his children killed him. Hezekiah received prophecy of death but cried out to God and was healed. He became proud. He received Babylonian visitors that came to see him. He was tested but failed the test. Hezekiah died in this chapter. In Job 32, Elihu, a young man in the company of Job’s friends, who had restrained himself from speaking, because of his age, spoke out – confronting both the three friends of Job and Job himself. He eventually did what he did not want to do. He had five chapters of uninterrupted rebuke-speech. No one else spoke that long at once. In Psalm 32, the psalmist speaks, from experience, of the blessedness of being forgiven. Sin is costly. Stubbornness pushes us back into the gallery with God – and we become like a horse or mule which have no understanding but have to be harnessed with bit and bridle to be drawn. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked. Do not resist God in the 32nd season. Mercy is precious in the 32nd season because the season cries for justice and vengeance against sin and rebellion. Isaiah 32 is about a purging distress that would come upon God’s people. God’s people failed the test. Disaster comes on the complacent in the 32nd season. In Jeremiah 32, the prophet was shut up in prison because the king did not believe that what the prophet said would happen. It happened. Then a seeming contradiction occurs. God commands Jeremiah to buy a field from his uncle as faith-proof that the captives of Babylon would return to the land. Jeremiah passed the faith-test. Obedience to divine instruction is a blessing in the 32nd season. God assured Jeremiah that although the people will go into captivity and the land will become desolate, He would restore them to the land.  Mercy is very loud in the 32nd season. Ezekiel 32 is the prophet’s lamentation for Egypt’s desolation. Egypt failed the humility-test.

REVIEW

In the 32nd season, men are tempted to do things that drive them back into stuff they are running from. The 32nd season is a season of tests often leading to questionable actions. Rebellion against God is stupid. Aaron and Jonah did not act wisely in turning against God in Exodus 32 and in the 32nd book of the Bible respectively. The boasting of Sennacherib in Second Chronicles 32 was stupid and costly. He lost his army, his throne, and his life. Adolf Hitler declared the Second World War in the season of the 32nd president of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt. He lost both the war and his life. He and his allies were ill-advised. In the 34th week of 2019, multi-millionaire, Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide in a New York Prison cell.

The 32nd season is a season of mercy, divine intervention, and second chance. Moses interceded for Israel in Exodus 32 after Aaron made the golden calf. God gave Hezekiah second chance in Second Chronicles 32 by extending his life. God gave Jonah a second chance in the 32nd book of the Bible. Nineveh also received mercy and second chance. The 32nd season is the intercessors season. It is a time to plead for mercy as Moses did in Exodus 32.

The Rwanda genocide happened within the 32nd seven years of the United States; when Bill Clinton was President. Regrettably, Clinton and the United States could not save Rwanda from the genocide but today, Bill Clinton and Americans are having a second chance to rebuild lives in Rwanda. Bill Clinton also faced impeachment in the Monica Lewinsky scandal but was given a second chance. The House of Representatives favored impeachment but the Senate did not have the majority to ratify it. Clinton was acquitted. Second chance!

The 32nd season is for making timely submission to God. Jonah’s delayed and forced compliance was costly. As soon as he got out the belly of the fish that swallowed him, he went right away into Nineveh and preached. He had learned his lessons. Nineveh’s timely submission to God turned the hand of judgment.

The 32nd season is a high-sensitivity season. Aaron’s step to make a golden calf for Israel was hasty and the result of insensitivity. It was all because of Moses’ delay.  The people pressurized him to error. The 32nd season is a time to be heaven-led; not circumstance-led, people-led, or emotion-led. Delay must not drive you to haste in the 32nd week. Moses broke the two tables of the law out of anger in Exodus 32. Beware of hasty actions in the 32nd season. In 1992, the 32nd year of Nigeria’s independence, there were riots, strikes, arrests, detentions, and deaths surrounding transition to civilian rule, ethnic/religious clashes, and economic issues, under President Ibrahim Babangida. In that year, there was anger in the air; and Nigeria and Nigerians were badly hurt by lack of sensitivity.

The 32nd season is a new beginning. It is the beginning of a new beginning. God changed Jacob to Israel in Genesis 32. Elihu began his speech in Job 32.  In the 32nd book of the Bible, Nineveh had a new beginning. The tribes of Reuben, Gad and Manasseh received their inheritance in this chapter. It was a new beginning for them. The 32nd President of the United States was a new beginning in many ways. It is a season economic boom.

The 32nd week is a season to triumph through prayer. Fearful things may happen in this season but faith in God always triumphs. In Genesis 32, Jacob prayed to be delivered from Esau and for a change of story. In Genesis 32:11, he said “Deliver me, I pray, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau; for I fear him, lest he come and attack me and the mother with the children”. In Genesis 32:26 he said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me”. God changed His name from Jacob to Israel. Identity gives access. Moses prayed in Exodus 32. He told God, “If you will not forgive them, blot me out of your book which you have written”. Hezekiah prayed to be delivered from Sennacherib  and from death in Second Chronicles 32. God answered Him. Jonah prayed from the belly of a fish in the 32nd book of the Bible. God commanded the fish to vomit him. This week, pray; God will hear you!!!

The 32nd season is a season to be in the presence of God. Although we should always be in the presence of God, some seasons make it mandatory. In Genesis 32, Jacob was alone with God when his name was changed to Israel. Moses was on the mountain with with God in Exodus 32. In Second Chronicles 32, Hezekiah was in the presence of God crying against Sennacherib; and for deliverance from death. In Jeremiah 32, the prophet was in the presence of God praying to understand why God would ask him to buy property in a city the Babylonians would overrun. There, the Lord told him He would give Judah and Benjamin a second chance. In the 32nd book of the Bible, Jonah had problems because he ran from where he should have been in the presence of God.

This week, live your life in the presence of the Lord – to receive instructions, mercy, favor, answers for needs, renewal and fresh start.  Happy 32nd week.

The Mystery of the 33rd Week (August 13-19)

0

Welcome to the 33rd week of the year. The 33rd week is a core fifth-season week. It is the fifth week in the fifth 49 days (or fifth seven weeks) of the year (July 16 – September 3 in a clear year). The basic Bible patterns for understanding the 33rd week are the fifth day of creation narrative, the 33rd book of the Bible, the 33rd chapters of the Bible, and the 5th five chapters of the 5th book of the Bible (Deuteronomy 21-25).

Week 33 is a fifth-day-of-creation week. On the fifth day of creation, God made the sea creatures to swim by spreading their fins; and the birds of the air to fly by spreading their wings. The fins and wings are a statement that God delights in balance, righteousness, justice and equity, in the fifth season. The statue of Justice erected in courts has wide-spread hands. God reacts against evil with fire (physically and figuratively) in the fifth season. On the fifth day of creation, God furnished the waters with living creatures because He does not intend the season to be a fire-devouring season.

The fifth day was the beginning of flesh and blood in God’s creation. Life is precious in this season. That day was also the beginning of blessing in God’s creation. The creatures of the fifth day have senses to perceive their environment and are capable of making choices and decisions. The fifth season is a season of freedom to choose blessings through obedience or cursing through disobedience. In the fifth season, you must have the consequence of your choices. The fifth season is a time to choose to be up or down, wet or dry, hot or cool, blessed or cursed, free or bound, to fly or swim, multiply or decrease, to abound or be abased, to live or die, to walk in the flesh or in the spirit, to speak or be silent, to be noisy or quiet. The 33rd week is a week of consequences for choices. The best way to choose in the fifth season is to operate from the spiritual perspective of realities. The fifth season is for the full expression of life; and in this season, the Creator does not support people or things that limit or hinder the full expression of life. The fifth book and chapters of the Bible reveal this through narratives of provision, healing, deliverance, raising the dead, detection and judgment of wickedness.

Week 33 is a book-of-Micah week. Micah was a contemporary of Isaiah and prophesied in the days of Jotham, idolatrous Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah (2 Kings 15.17; 2 Chronicles 27-32). In the days of Micah, Judah was brought very low because of the sins of idolatrous king Ahaz. In his days, Judah was distressed by the Syrians, Israelites, Edomites, Philistines, and Assyrians; but distress never moved Ahaz to seek God (Second Chronicles 28). In the book of Micah, God decrees judgment against His people because of unrighteousness and injustice. In the fourth verse of the first chapter, Prophet Micah declares,“The mountains will melt under Him, and the valleys will split like wax before the fire, like waters poured down a steep place”; and in verse 7. “All her carved images shall be beaten to pieces, and all her pay as a harlot shall be burned with the fire; All her idols I will lay desolate, For she gathered it from the pay of a harlot, And they shall return to the pay of a harlot.” Micah 3:1-12 says, “And I said: “Hear now, O heads of Jacob, And you rulers of the house of Israel: Is it not for you to know justice? [2] You who hate good and love evil; Who strip the skin from My people, And the flesh from their bones; [3] Who also eat the flesh of My people, Flay their skin from them, Break their bones, And chop them in pieces Like meat for the pot, Like flesh in the caldron.” [n the 4] Then they will cry to the LORD, But He will not hear them; He will even hide His face from them at that time, Because they have been evil in their deeds. [5] Thus says the LORD concerning the prophets Who make my people stray; Who chant “Peace” While they chew with their teeth, But who prepare war against him Who puts nothing into their mouths: [6] “Therefore you shall have night without vision, And you shall have darkness without divination; The sun shall go down on the prophets, And the day shall be dark for them. [7] So the seers shall be ashamed, And the diviners abashed; Indeed they shall all cover their lips; For there is no answer from God.” [8] But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the LORD, And of justice and might, To declare to Jacob his transgression And to Israel his sin. [9] Now hear this, You heads of the house of Jacob And rulers of the house of Israel, Who abhor justice And pervert all equity, [10] Who build up Zion with bloodshed And Jerusalem with iniquity: [11] Her heads judge for a bribe, Her priests teach for pay, And her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the LORD, and say, “Is not the LORD among us? No harm can come upon us.” [12] Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed like a field, Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, And the mountain of the temple Like the bare hills of the forest”. In the book of Micah, God also promised to take vengeance against the enemies of His people; and restore His people.

The 33rd book of the Bible shows that God reacts against awayness in His people in the 33rd season. The Creator also reacts against leaders misleading the people in the 33rd season. God blames leadership for things that go wrong in the 33rd season. The heads of the creatures of the fifth day are equipped with the senses of hearing, seeing, smelling, and tasting. If the head goes wrong, the body goes wrong too.

Week 33 is a 33rd-chapters-of-the-Bible week. The 33rd chapters of the Bible reveal the following six things about the 33rd season.

1. It is a time of great favor when you can meet face to face with the fearful and not be harmed. In Genesis 33, Jacob came face to face with his brother, Esau and there was no trouble. They embraced. He had a lot of livestock with which he sought the favor of Esau. This 33rd week, do not be afraid. The Lord is going before you to make a way where there is no way. This is a week of reconciliation and peace. This week in 2020 Israel and UAE struck a historic deal, the Abraham Accord, to establish diplomatic ties – “halting Israel’s annexation of Palestinian land”.

2. It is a season to move on to the next level and place. Exodus 33:1-3 says, “Then the LORD said to Moses, “Depart and go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘To your descendants I will give it.’ [2] And I will send My Angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanite and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite. [3] Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst, lest I consume you on the way, for you are a stiff-necked people.” In Exodus 33, God commanded Moses and the people to move – after the Golden Calf failure. Moses coveted the presence of God and even spoke face to face with God in the Tabernacle of meeting – after God said His presence would not go with Israel because of their rebelliousness. In Numbers 33, Israel’s journey from Egypt to Jordan is summarized – according to starting and stopping points. Three words implying motion (move, departed, went) is used 42 times in this chapter. The word ‘camped’ is also used 42 times in Numbers 33. The death of Aaron at 123 years, on Mount Hur, is recorded in this chapter.  His son Eleazar took over from him. This week, the Lord is prompting you to move from camping. This is a no-stopping week. The Lord wants you to move and move and move.

3. It is a season of blessing, redemption, and restoration. In Deuteronomy 33, Moses blessed the children of Israel before his death. Simeon is not mentioned among the tribes here. In Job 33, Elihu corrects Job for his words against God. He emphasizes the Sovereignty of God. He also spoke of ransom, redemption, and of a mediator. You do not need any of those three unless there is trouble. They are needed in the 33rd season. In Jeremiah 33, God promised to cause the captivity of Judah to return and to restore Jerusalem. The Lord is speaking blessings over your life this week. Stand to receive your portion.

4. It is a season of judgment. Second Chronicles is about the evil reign of Manasseh. Although he repented, God decreed captivity against Judah because of the sins of Manasseh. Manasseh ruled the longest in Judah but his death is recorded in this chapter. His son and successor,  Amon, also ruled and died in this chapter. This chapter ends with the emergence of Josiah – the reformer-grandson of Manasseh. Isaiah 33 is about the judgment coming to Zion and to the Plunderer that had not been plundered. This week, the Lord will bring down the wicked in your life, family, and nation. He will raise replacements who will reverse the works of the wicked in the land.

5. It is a season to rejoice in the Lord and praise His name. Psalm 33 is a call to rejoice in the Lord and praise Him (1-3) for His powerful word (4-12) and for His sovereign and saving power (13-22). This a week of joy. The Lord will keep pain and sorrow far from you.

6. It is a watchman season. In Ezekiel 33, the prophet is a appointed a watchman because to warn the people of impending disaster. News of the fall of Jerusalem came to Ezekiel in this chapter. Ezekiel 33 is about the certainty of the judgment. This week, stand on the watch with your spiritual senses on alert.

Week 33 is a Deuteronomy 21-25 week. The fifth five chapters of the fifth book of the Bible are applicable to the fifth week in the fifth 49 days of the year. Deuteronomy 21-25 are about moral laws that Israel must keep. The five chapters deal so much with recognizing and respecting the rights of people. God reacts against unrighteousness and injustice in the 33rd season. This week, He calls the earth to recognize and respect the rights of people.

Week 33 is the beginning of the New Testament side of the fifth 49 days. Every 49-day (seven-week) season is like a journey through the Bible and has both Old Testament and New Testament sides. The first 28 days is the Old Testament side. The remaining 21 days constitute the New Testament side. The fifth week expresses the first 9 books of the New Testament (Matthew – Galatians). Those books are about Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Church. They are also about love, grace, and salvation. The first nine books of the NT indicate that week 33 is a season of necessary Intervention and salvation. It is a season in which God must intervene to save people from the curse of breaking the Law.

The 33rd week consists of Days 29-35 of the fifth 49 days of the year (August 13-19 in a clear year; and August 12-18 in a leap year). In a sense, living in the 33rd week of the year, is like going through the 29th-35th books of the Bible (Joel-Habakkuk). Each day of the week shall express one of the fifth seven books. They are books of judgment-disasters! In this week of recompense, may the Lord keep you and your land from visitations of destructive fire! In 1933, there were two major fire disasters in the United States. The first was ‘The Tillamook Burn’; a series of forest fires that lasted about 23 days and destroyed a total area of 350,000 acres (1,400 km2) in the Northern Oregon Coast Range between August 14 and September 5. That fire began in the 33rd week of 1933. The second was ‘The Griffith Park Fire’ that occurred October 3 in Griffith Park in Los Angeles, resulting in the deaths of at least 29 civilian-firefighters trying to put out the fire. It was one of the deadliest firefighter disasters in United States history. In 1945, the 33rd President of the United States, Harry S. Truman, gave Japan fire in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki; to end the Second World War. In the 33rd seven years of the United States, terrorists gave fire to America and the rest of the world in the 9/11 bombing of the World Trade Center in 2001. 1n 1993, the 33rd year of Nigeria, there were protest fires all over Lagos because the annulled June 12 election results. Abiola came under fire; the Babangida administration came under fire; then came the Abacha-fire. This week, may the Lord lead you through the hot Joel-Habakkuk week; and give you a happy and fire-free 33rd week!

On this day in 2022, electric fire broke out in an Egyptian church and killed 41 people mostly children.

How should I pray in the 33rd Week?

The Mystery of the 34th Week (August 20-26)

0

Welcome to the 34th week of the year! The 34th week is the sixth week in the fifth 49 days. This is the week of August 20-26 in a Clear Year; and the week of August 19-25 in a Leap Year. It is a sixth season week. The keys to understanding the 34th week are the sixth day of creation narrative, the 34th book and chapters of the Bible, and the sixth five chapters of fifth book of the Bible (Deuteronomy).

Week 34 is a sixth day of creation week. God made man and land animals on the sixth day; but favored man greatly with headship and authority. God made man in His image and likeness and commanded man to have dominion and rule over the rest of living creatures. Those other living creatures were not made in the image and likeness of God. The beasts express wickedness; the cattle express foolishness; the creeping things express craftiness and falsehood. The sixth day of creation narrative indicate that the 34th week is a season conflict between those who bear the image of God and those who do not bear the image of God. Week 34 is for those who are on the side of God; who bear the face of God and express the heart of God. It is their week of blessings and favors. The sixth season is the season of the Lord’s battle and dominion – against those who are out of alignment with His plans and purposes. That is the reason God made man in His image and likeness and commanded man to rule and have dominion on the sixth day of creation. God reacted against ungodly humanity in Genesis 6 and against the seven Canaanite nations in Joshua, the sixth book of the Bible. This 34th week, those who are on the side of God have nothing to fear. They shall be protected and preserved. They shall be provided for and promoted. Their enemies shall fall before them. But those who pursue evil and take pleasure in wickedness shall be punished.

Week 34 is a book of Nahum week. Nahum is the 34th book of the Bible. The three-chapter book is about God’s vengeance against Nineveh (Assyria). Nahum 1:2-3 says, “God is jealous, and the LORD avenges; The LORD avenges and is furious. The LORD will take vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies; [3] The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked. The LORD has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet”. Nahum 1:14 says, “The LORD has given a command concerning you: “Your name shall be perpetuated no longer. Out of the house of your gods I will cut off the carved image and the molded image. I will dig your grave, For you are vile.”

Nahum 2:13  says, “Behold, I am against you,” says the LORD of hosts, “I will burn your chariots in smoke, and the sword shall devour your young lions; I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voice of your messengers shall be heard no more.” In Nahum 3:18-19, God said, “Your shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria; Your nobles rest in the dust. Your people are scattered on the mountains, And no one gathers them. [19] Your injury has no healing, Your wound is severe. All who hear news of you Will clap their hands over you, For upon whom has not your wickedness passed continually?” Week 34 is a week of God’s vengeance.

Week 34 is a 34th chapters of the Bible week. The 34th chapters of the Bible indicate the 34th week is a season of recompense in the year. It is payback season. It is time to give back to people according to their works. In Genesis 34, Simeon and Levi, sons of Jacob took vengeance against the Shechemites for the rape of their sister, Dinah. God sets up the ungodly for destruction in the 34th season. In Exodus 34, God introduced Himself to Moses as One who though merciful and gracious will by no means clear the guilty. Exodus 34:5-7 says, “Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. [6] And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, [7] keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” Numbers 34 is about the divisions and boundaries of inheritance in promised land which Israel shall dispossess the Canaanites of. God takes away the inheritance of the ungodly in the 34th season. In Deuteronomy 34, Moses died and was buried, by God, in the land of Moab. The 34th season is for judgment against rebellion. In Second Chronicles 34, Josiah, as God’s agent, took vengeance against idolatry in Israel, in a swift reformation – to escape the visitation of divine wrath. 2 Chronicles 34:3-5 says, “For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his father David; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images. [4] They broke down the altars of the Baals in his presence, and the incense altars which were above them he cut down; and the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images he broke in pieces, and made dust of them and scattered it on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them. [5] He also burned the bones of the priests on their altars, and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem”. 2 Chronicles 34:33 says, “Thus Josiah removed all the abominations from all the country that belonged to the children of Israel, and made all who were present in Israel diligently serve the LORD their God. All his days they did not depart from following the LORD God of their fathers”. The 34th season is a time to take steps to forestall heavenly reactions to ungodliness. 2 Chronicles 34:24-25 says, “Thus says the LORD: ‘Behold, I will bring calamity on this place and on its inhabitants, all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Judah, [25] because they have forsaken Me and burned incense to other gods, that they might provoke Me to anger with all the works of their hands. Therefore My wrath will be poured out on this place, and not be quenched.'” Job 34 reveals that God “repays man according to his work”. Job 34:10-11 says, “Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: Far be it from God to do wickedness, And from the Almighty to commit iniquity. [11] For He repays man according to his work, And makes man to find a reward according to his way”. Job 34:24-28 says, “He breaks in pieces mighty men without inquiry, And sets others in their place. [25] Therefore He knows their works; He overthrows them in the night, And they are crushed. [26] He strikes them as wicked men In the open sight of others, [27] Because they turned back from Him, And would not consider any of His ways, [28] So that they caused the cry of the poor to come to Him; For He hears the cry of the afflicted” Psalms 34 says, “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. [16] The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. [17] The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. [18] The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. [19] Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all. [20] He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken. [21] Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. [22] The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned” (Psalm 34:15-22).

Isaiah 34 is a proclamation of judgment against all nations; especially Edom. Isaiah 34:2-15 says, “For the indignation of the LORD is against all nations, And His fury against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to the slaughter. [3] Also their slain shall be thrown out; Their stench shall rise from their corpses, And the mountains shall be melted with their blood. [4] All the host of heaven shall be dissolved, And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll; All their host shall fall down As the leaf falls from the vine, And as fruit falling from a fig tree. [5] “For My sword shall be bathed in heaven; Indeed it shall come down on Edom, And on the people of My curse, for judgment. [6] The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, It is made overflowing with fatness, With the blood of lambs and goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom. [7] The wild oxen shall come down with them, And the young bulls with the mighty bulls; Their land shall be soaked with blood, And their dust saturated with fatness.” [8] For it is the day of the LORD’s vengeance, The year of recompense for the cause of Zion. [9] Its streams shall be turned into pitch, And its dust into brimstone; Its land shall become burning pitch. [10] It shall not be quenched night or day; Its smoke shall ascend forever. From generation to generation it shall lie waste; No one shall pass through it forever and ever. [11] But the pelican and the porcupine shall possess it, Also the owl and the raven shall dwell in it. And He shall stretch out over it The line of confusion and the stones of emptiness. [12] They shall call its nobles to the kingdom, But none shall be there, and all its princes shall be nothing. [13] And thorns shall come up in its palaces, Nettles and brambles in its fortresses; It shall be a habitation of jackals, A courtyard for ostriches. [14] The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the jackals, And the wild goat shall bleat to its companion; Also the night creature shall rest there, And find for herself a place of rest. [15] There the arrow snake shall make her nest and lay eggs And hatch, and gather them under her shadow; There also shall the hawks be gathered, Every one with her mate”.

Jeremiah 34 is God’s reaction to those who took back, into bondage, slaves they had freed: Jeremiah 34:17-22 says, “Therefore thus says the LORD: ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother and every one to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim liberty to you,’ says the LORD-‘to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine! And I will deliver you to trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth. [18] And I will give the men who have transgressed My covenant, who have not performed the words of the covenant which they made before Me, when they cut the calf in two and passed between the parts of it- [19] the princes of Judah, the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, the priests, and all the people of the land who passed between the parts of the calf- [20] I will give them into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of those who seek their life. Their dead bodies shall be for meat for the birds of the heaven and the beasts of the earth. [21] And I will give Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes into the hand of their enemies, into the hand of those who seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon’s army which has gone back from you. [22] Behold, I will command,’ says the LORD, ‘and cause them to return to this city. They will fight against it and take it and burn it with fire; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without inhabitant.'”

Ezekiel 34 is prophecy against the shepherds of Israel who exploit God’s flock. Ezekiel 34:2-6,8,10 says, “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD to the shepherds: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks? [3] You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. [4] The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them. [5] So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food for all the beasts of the field when they were scattered. [6] My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill; yes, My flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or searching for them.” [8] “As I live,” says the Lord GOD, “surely because My flock became a prey, and My flock became food for every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, nor did My shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock”- [10] Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them.”

Week 34 is a Deuteronomy 26-30 week. The sixth five chapters of the fifth book of the Bible is applicable to sixth week in the fifth 49 days of the year. Deuteronomy 26-30 is about the blessings or curses that would come upon the people when they enter the Promised Land per their obedience or disobedience to God. In the 34th season, obedience attracts blessings while disobedience attracts curses.

In 1934, John Dillinger, tagged Public Enemy #1 was shot and killed by FBI agents on July 22. He was charged of robbing 24 banks and four police stations. Twice, he escaped from jail. He was so notorious that the US Department of Justice offered $25000 reward for him. Another notorious bank robber, Pretty Boy Floyd, was shot and killed by FBI agents three months later on October 22. The 34th season is a season of vengeance.

In 1994, the 34th year of Nigeria, the Abacha-led military regime arrested and imprisoned Moshood Abiola for treason because he set up a parallel government (as deprived winner of the 1993 presidential election) and declared himself head of the government of national unity. That was the beginning of the end of M.K.O Abiola’s earth-journey. He died in the prison four years later in 1998 (July 7).

The 34th president of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower took vengeance for the United States against segregationists. He fought forcefully for desegregation in public places. He used State military might against resistance to desegregation. The segregationists did not understand the times. The Eisenhower administration also labored vigorously to contain the Soviet Union and protect the world from the colonization of communist forces and ideology. The communist strong man, Josef Stalin, died in the second month of Ike’s presidency; on March 5, 1953. His successor, Georgy Malenkov, was ousted after six months in office; on September 8, 1953.

Within the 34th seven years of the United States, Barak the Obama administration took vengeance for the United States against Osama Bin Laden and his Al-Qaeda network. The strong man of Al-Qaeda was killed on May 2, 2011.  In the same year, on October 20, Muammar Ghadaffi, the strong man of Libya was killed in the ninth month of an armed revolution against his government. Both men did not position themselves well in America’s season of vengeance.

In the 34th week of 2019, a man hijacked a bus and the 37 people on board on a bridge in Rio de Janeiro. He became the strong man of the day for about four hours. That was all. He was shot dead by police sniper. The hostages came out unhurt. The hijacker misread the time and it cost him his life. The same week, a threatening fire sparked off in Amazon Rainforest region, ‘the lungs of the planet’.

The 34th week is Ephesians – Philemon season in the fifth 49 days of the year. Going through every seven-week season is like a journey through the Bible. The first four weeks is the Old Testament side of the seven-week season and expresses the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three weeks (fifth, sixth, and seventh) constitute the New Testament side of the seven-week season and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The sixth week expresses the second 9 books of the New Testament. The second 9 books of the New Testament indicate that 34th week is time to prosper through receiving and following instructions. The second 9 books of the New Testament are mentoring books and they include the pastoral epistles of Paul. This is a week to be guided. Never go all by yourself.

This 34th week, may the Lord overthrow and wipe off everything that represents ancient wicked Nineveh in your world. May the Lord shield you from wrath by His wisdom, by the blood of the Lamb, and by His abundant mercy. This week, stay in alignment with God, listen to His Voice and trust Him to guide and deliver you from traps of foolishness, craftiness, and wickedness. Happy 34th week!

How to pray in the 34th week

The Mystery of the 35th Week (August 27 – September 2)

0

Welcome to the 35th week of the year. This is the last (7th) week in fifth 49 days (fifth seven weeks) of the year. The Bible patterns for understanding the 35th week are the seventh day of creation narrative, the 35th book of the Bible, the 35th chapters of the Bible, and the last four chapters (seventh section) of the fifth book of the Bible, Deuteronomy.

Week 35 is a seventh day of creation week. It is a Sabbath week. On the seventh day, God did not create anything. He ended His work, rested and blessed the day. He also sanctified the day. The seventh season is, therefore, a sacred season. It is the Creator’s Day! The mind of God is that the 35th week of the year would be (1) an end-of-work season; and a season of rest from toil, labor, trouble, and struggles. Pray that it would not be a week of unrest and troubles. (2). The other intention of the Creator is that the 35th week would be a blessed Holy Week. Pray that it would not be a week of sacrilege and curses.

Week 35 is a book of Habakkuk week. Habakkuk is the 35th book of the Bible; and so, is applicable to the 35th week of the year. In the book of Habakkuk, the prophet complained to the Lord about His seeming indifference to his cry against violence and breakdown of justice n the land. God promised He would tame the land with a wicked nation. The prophet protested; wondering how God would use a wicked and ungodly nation to punish His people. The prophet was afraid and prayed to God revive His people and show mercy amid  justice. The 35th week is a week of divine judgment. In a 35th season, God may seem silent or absent but He is in His temple and will act.

Week 35 is a Deuteronomy 31-34 week. This seventh section of the fifth book of the Bible is applicable to the seventh week in the fifth 49 days of the year. Those four chapters are about the last days of Moses on earth. In Deuteronomy 31, he made Joshua his successor by the word of the Lord. In Deuteronomy 32, he spoke of the Lord and Israel in a song. In chapter 33, Moses blessed the tribes; and in chapter 34, he died.

Week 35 is a 35th-chapters-of-the-Bible week. In Genesis 35, God commanded Jacob to return to Bethel, dwell there, and build an altar to God. He obeyed and told members of his family to give up any foreign gods with them. They did. That move to Bethel required a clean up from idolatry in his house. Idols were not allowed to continue with them in this journey. He had a fresh encounter with God in this passage (verses 9-15). The 35th season is a time to return to roots and foundation. The season is for the Lord’s pleasure. It is a time to return to the place of divine encounter. Things that are not compatible with God’s ways and thoughts should not make it through the season. Genesis 35 was also a season of pain and tears in the life of Jacob. Deborah (Rebekah’s nurse) died here. Rachel died here after giving birth to Benjamin – the twelfth son of Jacob. Isaac, his father, also died here; at the age of 180. The other painful thing here is that Reuben had sex with his father’s concubine, Bilhah (Rachael’s maidservant – the mother of Dan and Naphtali). This would cost him his birthright. Reuben ruined his destiny here. Errors of the 35th season are costly.  The 35th season is an endpoint. Child-bearing ended for Jacob in this chapter; after the son of his right hand was born. The 35th season is the time to birth ‘the son of the right hand’. Even Jacob’s story ended here. He was no longer active after the 35th chapter of Genesis. The 36th chapter is about Esau. The 37th chapter is about Joseph and his brothers. The 38th chapter is about Judah’s family. The rest of the book (39-50) is Joseph’s story. The 35th season is for the end of the old and the beginning of the new. The 35th season is a terminal season in so many ways. It’s both a season of revival and declension – whichever you choose.

In Exodus 35, Moses reminded Israel what God said about keeping the Sabbath. The 35th season is a Sabbath-season. Moses also took a free will offering from Israel for the construction of the tabernacle. He called Bezalel and Aholiab, by the word of the Lord, to be in charge of the work. In Genesis 35, God spoke about Bethel. In Exodus 35, God spoke about Sabbath and Tabernacle. Exodus 35 is about the Lord’s day and the Lord’s House. The 35th season is the Lord’s season. The season is for giving attention to the Tabernacle of God – not for destroying it.

In Numbers 35, God gave commandment concerning the cities of the Levites and the six cities of refuge. The Levites are those serving in the Tabernacle. The 35th season is a time to seek the good of the house of God and the custodians of faith. God also spoke about the common cities – to keep the land from bloodshed. The 35th season is a season to watch against vengeful bloodshed.

In Second Chronicles 35, Josiah led Israel to keep a landmark Passover as part of his reforms. Josiah and all Judah returned to the Lord and observed a ground-shaking Passover; such as had never happened since the days of Samuel. That was the last revival before captivity. The 35th season is a time for revival of faith. Josiah’s celebration of the Passover was like a return to the beginning. The Passover was the beginning of Israel’s independence and separation from Egypt. The Revivalists of the 35th season must also understand their boundaries. Josiah died in a battle he was not supposed to fight. After his great revival and reform, Josiah heedlessly entered into war with the King of Egypt and died in battle. He went to intervene in a battle that was not his own. He was warned against it but he did not listen. He died an unnecessary death. Errors of the 35th season are costly. The 35th season is a time to pay attention to God and boundaries.

The German nationalism that was wounded in the First World War revived in 1935. The world did not wake up to this phenomenon until 1939 when the Second World War began. On February 26, Adolf Hitler, who became Chancellor of Germany, and Fuhrer in 1934, ordered reinstatement of the air force, the Luftwaffe, in violation of the 1919 Treaty of Versailles. On March 16, he announced German re-armament in violation of the treaty of 1919. On May 21, he announced the reintroduction of conscription to the Wehrmacht, in violation of the same 1919 Treaty. On September 15, The Nuremberg Laws went into effect in Germany, removing citizenship from Jews. On December 12, the Lebensborn program in support of Nazi eugenics was founded by Heinrich Himmler in Germany and catered for kidnapped children until it became extinct in 1945. The 1935 revival of German nationalism did not end well for the nation. Hitler rose in the second 49 years of Germany (from 1871). He was like the Pharaoh that did not know Joseph in the second book of the Bible.

In Job 35, Elihu posited that the goodness or wickedness of men affects men and not God. He also teaches that God’s silence does not mean He does not care about what is happening. When judgment is delayed, both the wicked and the righteous misinterpret God. Elihu was neither for Job nor his friends. He stood for God. The 35th season is a time to speak for God instead of taking sides with camps.

In Psalms 35, the psalmist cried to God for vengeance, vindication, and deliverance. It is a prayer calling the Lord to battle. This chapter expresses the heart of God’s remnant in a season of oppression, when evil men thrive. Psalm 35 sounds like what Habakkuk must have prayed in his days. The 35th season is a time to cry out to God for intervention.

In Isaiah 35, the prophet spoke of a glorious return to Zion. The 35th season is the time for the ransomed of the Lord to return to Zion. It is a time to witness the glory of the Lord, the excellency of our God, and the vengeance or recompense of God. Verses 5-9 holds a great promise.

In Jeremiah 35, the sons of Rechab overcame the temptation to drink wine in the house of God. The remained loyal to their father. They became a reference point to all Judah. Judah would be punished but the house of Rechab shall prosper. Decisions of the 35th season will either bring blessings or curses. The 35th season is a time to refuse compromise. It is a time to remember roots.

In Ezekiel 35, the Son of Man is commanded to prophesy against Mount Seir. God vowed to make Mount Seir desolate. The word desolate is used eight times in this chapter; out of the about forty times it is used in the entire book. The 35th season is for the destruction of the enemies of God’s people. The 35th season is for the execution judgments.

The 35th year of the United States (July 4 1810-July 4, 1811): The First Bank of the United States died in this season. The 20 year charter expired in 1811 and was not renewed. The bank died in a season of renewal (when it should have been made stronger) because the people did not understand the times. This adversely affected the war of 1812 – America’s ‘second war of independence’.

Abraham Lincoln was President of the United States within the 35th seven years from America’s foundation in 1620. He was assassinated in 1865. The American Civil War that ended many lives happened in his season.

In the days of J. F Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, both state sponsored prayer and state sponsored Bible reading were taken out of Public schools. That was a season when the nation should have revived their faith in God or returned to God as Jacob returned to Bethel in Genesis 35; and as Josiah reformed Judah in Second Chronicles 35. His season also begged for the revival and recognition of racial equality in the United States. Assassination cut short his days as President of the United States. The 35th season is an end-season but precious lives do not have to end in this season. We must watch our boundaries in the season.

The 35th seven years of the US (July 4, 2014-July 4, 2021): This is the Obama-Trump season. The 35th season is a season of revival. It can be a season of the revival of evil or a season for the revival of good. What did the Obama administration revive in America in his part of the 35th seven years – between July 2014 and January 2017? What will the Trump administration have revived in America between January 2017 and January 2023? In which direction is America heading in her 35th week of years? Is she heading towards ‘Bethel’ or away from it? Is she giving up or keeping the foreign gods? The foreign gods are the ways and manners that did not proceed from the Founding Fathers of America. Understanding the times is key to knowing what needs to be done; but doing what needs to be done is something else entirely. This is the time to return to the foundation that the Founding Fathers laid. Trump faced two impeachment attempts in the 35th seven years from 1776. COVID-19 took its unfortunate toll from America in this season.

The 35th seven years of the U.K (1945-1952). The 35th seven years of the United Kingdom were the seven years following the Second World War. The war had ended but life was hard and the people wanted a change. The Labor Party won the election with Clement Attlee as Prime Minister. Winston Churchill, the war hero lost. On February 6, 1952, in the closing year of UK’s 35th seven years, King George VI died; ending his 16-year reign. Queen Elizabeth II succeeded him. The 35th season is an end-season; and the beginning of a new season.

In 1995, the 35th year of Nigeria, a seventh-season year when the nation ought to have rest, there was a revival of oppression and repression under the Sani Abacha regime. That was the year General Olusegun Obasanjo was jailed. In November of that year, Ken Saro-wiwa and eight others were hanged. Nigeria came under severe UN sanctions for abuse of human rights.

This 35th week, the Lord keep you far from sacrilege and unpleasant abrupt endings. This week in 2022 (August 28), the Noida Supertech Twin Towers in India came to an abrupt end by demolition. This also happened about the 35th year of founding Supertech. May this be a week of revival for you. May your story not end this week. It’s a new beginning. Happy 35th week!

How can I pray into the 35th week?

The Mystery of the 36th Week (September 3-9)

0

Welcome to the 36th week of the year! The 36th week is the first week, and beginning, of the sixth 49 days. God’s pattern for understanding the 36th week are the 36th book of the Bible, the 36th chapters of the Bible, the first day of creation narrative, and the first four chapters of the sixth book of the Bible. Here are four ‘Bible things’ about ‘the 36th’ that would help you understand the season.

1. The 36th week is a first-day-of-creation week. This is because the 36th is first week in the sixth 49 days. So, it is a first season week; and related to the first day of creation. On the first day of creation, God created light to dispel darkness. The first season is a season of conflict between light and darkness. Darkness seeks to dominate but light comes to expel it. If the darkness rises as an attack from the wicked, the light comes as divine intervention; but if the darkness rises as divine judgment, divine mercy would be the light. Since the sixth 49 days is for subduing the rebellious and dominating in the name of the Lord, the first week of this season would be for the overthrow of darkness. The 36th week is for battling darkness with light from God’s word and God’s presence.

2. Week 36 is a 36th-chapters-of-the-Bible week. Genesis 36 expresses the prevalence of darkness. The chapter is given to the house of Esau (Edom) and Mount Seir and the Chiefs or dukes. Esau had five children from three women. Edom and Mount Seir became enemies of Israel and represent rebellion against God. Edom, Mount Seir, and Amalek, represent darkness. The story of Esau in Genesis 36 is an intrusion of darkness into Jacob’s story-line. Jacob’s story will resume in Genesis 37 with the emergence of a new generation in Joseph and his brothers.

In Exodus 36, Bezalel and the other artisans begin work on the tabernacle. The people gave more than enough for the work of the tabernacle. The 36th season is a season of abundance through love for God. The house of God is priority in the 36th season. It is the abode of Light. God is Light. The key to triumph in the 36th season is to become, or to construct, the dwelling place of Light.

In Numbers 36, the end of the book, darkness was going to erode the inheritance of Zelophehad if his five daughters who had received his inheritance marry outside the tribe of their father’s house. The elders approached Moses concerning the matter of losing their inheritance to other tribes. Moses received a word from the Lord concerning them. They are to marry within the family of their father. They eventually married their cousins – the sons of their father’s brothers. That way, their father’s inheritance stayed within the family. This chapter is also about inheritance not changing hands from tribe to tribe. The 36th season is a time to receive wisdom (light) from God for complex problems.

Second Chronicles 36, the last chapter of the book, God’s people lost their inheritance to the Babylonians through captivity. Darkness overtook the land because their rejection of, and  rebellion against, the Light. The chapter ended with the beginning of the next book, Ezra. Light rose for the people in darkness when Cyrus, King of Persia, gave a written proclamation for Jews to return to rebuild the temple at Jerusalem. The 36th season is an end and a new beginning.

In Job 36, Elihu speaks on God’s behalf proclaiming His integrity, goodness, justice, and sovereignty, and majesty. He gives justice to both the wicked and the righteous. He gives correction to those who err and are in trouble. If, they listen, they find favor. If they reject correction, they perish. Elihu was bringing light into Job’s situation.

Psalm 36 is an oracle concerning the transgression of the wicked; about the goodness and mercy of God; and a prayer for help against the proud and the wicked.

In Isaiah 36, Sennacherib came against the fortified cites of Judah and took them. He sent horrifying and intimidating messages to Hezekiah and Judah to harass God’s people. Darkness rises against people in the 36th season threatening their inheritance.

In Jeremiah 36, the prophet’s scroll is read, by Baruch, in the temple and eventually in the hearing of the king. The words in the scroll was light to keep the people from darkness. They rejected the light. The king even burned the scroll against all restraints. Jeremiah cursed the king with childlessness and severe judgment. He would not have a son (heir) to sit on the throne of David; and his dead body would not be buried. That means his political inheritance is taken from him. Jeremiah told Baruch to rewrite the words on a new scroll. More words were even added. Darkness cannot prevail against the word of God. Men may rise up against the word of the Lord in the 36th season but the counsel of God will stand.

In Ezekiel 36, God speaks passionate blessings to Israel against the hurts she had suffered from the nations. Light came through God’s Word to dispel the darkness covering the land by promises of restoration.

3. Week 36 is a book-of-Zephaniah week. The book of Zephaniah is the 36th book of the Bible. Zephaniah is about the dark and gloomy day of the Lord’s indignation. In this book, especially, the first and third chapters, God threatened to judge Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Josiah, king of Judah. This, perhaps, was what moved Josiah to carry out a reformation. The second chapter opens with a call to seek the Lord before judgment comes. The prophet also spoke out against other nations. In both the second and third chapters, God gives hope of restoration to the remnant. The 36th season is a season of divine reactions against the rebellious; and a season of blessings and favor for the humble.

4. Week 36 is a Joshua 1-4 week. The first four chapters of the sixth book of the Bible is applicable to the first week in the sixth 49 days of the year. The first three chapters of Joshua are about Joshua’s first three challenges: the death of Moses, spying the land of Jericho, and crossing Jordan. God guided Joshua to overcome all three challenges. He gave him light, by His Word, in his hour of darkness. God told him what to do and how to do it. In the fourth chapter, after all Israel had crossed the Jordan, God told them to pick 12 stones from the Jordan and set up memorial stones. The stones were to remind and teach the future generation that God led Isreal to cross over Jordan on dry land, The first four chapters of the sixth book of the Bible show that the 36th is cross-over season.

2 Chronicles 16:1-3 throws more light into the mystery of the 36th season. It says, “In the thirty-sixth year of the reign of Asa, Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah and built Ramah, that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.  Then Asa brought silver and gold from the treasuries of the house of the LORD and of the king’s house, and sent to Ben-Hadad king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying, “Let there be a treaty between you and me, as there was between my father and your father. See, I have sent you silver and gold; come, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, so that he will withdraw from me.” King Asa came under pressure because of this invasion and compromised. God rebuked Him.

The 36th Season and Modern History: The 36th year of the 20th Century (1936) was a very dark year for nations around the world. The United Kingdom experienced some royal turbulence. King George V died January 20. His oldest son succeeded him as Edward VIII. After eleven months, Edward VIII abdicated the throne; and his brother, Prince Albert took over as George VI. About ten days before the abdication of Edward VIII, fire destroyed the London Crystal Palace that was built for the 1851 Great Exhibition. Three Prime Ministers of nations also stepped down in this year – the Prime Minister of Japan, the Prime Minister of Sweden, and the Prime Minister of Greece. On March 7, Nazi Germany reoccupied the Rhineland in violation of the Treaty of Versailles and the Locarno Treaties – changing the balance of power in Europe in favor of Germany and against France and her allies.  On December 1, Hitler banned scouting in Germany and forced all German boys from 10-18 years to join Hitler paramilitary organization. Jewish boys were not allowed to participate in Hitler Youth. The terrible Saint Patrick’s Day Flood hit Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania March 17-18. The fourth and fifth deadliest tornadoes in US history happened April 5-6 at Topol, Mississippi and Gainesville, Georgia respectively. On May 5-9, Italian forces, in the March of the Iron Will, occupied Addis Ababa unopposed, annexed Ethiopia, and formed the Italian East Africa from Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Italian Somaliland. The Italian forces had defeated and neutralized the army of the Ethiopian Empire on February 9-10. The North American Heat Wave that killed thousands of people happened in June and July of 1936. The Spanish Army of Africa launched a coup d’etat against the Second Spanish Republic on July 17. That was the beginning of the Spanish Civil War. Josef Stalin’s Great Purge or Great Terror that resulted in the death of hundreds of thousands began in Soviet Union in October 1936. In the 36th week of 2022 (September 8), Queen Elizabeth II died at age 96 following a 70 year reign and after appointing the 15th Prime Minister of her reign. She ascended the throne at the beginning of the 36th seven years of the United Kingdom and died end (sixth day) of the 36th week of 2022.

The season of the 36th president of United States (Lyndon B. Johnson) was full of pressures – around gun control, immigration, space program, poverty, civil rights, war against communism in Vietnam, and urban protests. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in this season (April 4, 1968). Robert F. Kennedy was shot on June 5; and pronounced dead the following day, June 6, 1968. The Joe Biden administration opened the 36th seven years of the United States on July 4, 2021. The battle between light and darkness raged at home and abroad.

In the 36th year of Nigeria (1996) was a year of repression in Nigeria. It was in the season of Abacha’s reign of terror. There were at least eight bomb blasts in different parts of the country. The 18th Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Ibrahim Dansuki, was deposed on April 20 and replaced with Alhaji Muhammad Maccido who reigned 10 years. Kudirat Abiola was murdered by unknown persons on June 4. Although six new states were created, and Nigeria won the soccer Olympics in Atlanta, the year was a dark season for the nation.

This week, decree against darkness and all its operations in our land; and in the nations of the world. Declare, in the name of Jesus, that in this 36th week, you shall not be overtaken by darkness. You shall prevail with Light because you are an abode of Light. Happy 36th week!

This week in 2022, Nigeria arrested high profile terrorist agents, informants, and suppliers, including Tukur Mamu, the self acclaimed mediator/negotiator between bandits and families of victims of abduction..

The Mystery of the 37th Week

0

Welcome to the 37th week of the year! This is the second week in the sixth 49 days of the year. This is the week of September 10-16 in a clear year and September 9-25 in a leap year. The Bible patterns for understanding the 37th week are the second day of creation narrative, the 37th book of the Bible, the 37th chapters of the Bible, and the second four chapters of Joshua, the sixth book of the Bible.

Week 37 is a second day of creation week in the sixth 49 days of the year. On the second day of creation, God created the firmament to destroy the barrier created by the bloc of waters. The second season is for thwarting monopolies and breaking controlling powers to make way where there is no way for people. God makes a way where there is no way in the second season. It is a season to refuse to be stopped by barriers.  It is a season to open doors by exerting spiritual force. It is a season to triumph through  prayer and prophetic decrees.

Week 37 is a Joshua 5-8 week. The second four chapters of the sixth book of the Bible are applicable to the second week in the sixth 49 days of the year. In Jodhua 5, the circumcised among the men of Israel were circumcised. The preproach of Egypt was rolled away from Israel on that day. Manna also ceased and Israel began to eat the fruit of the land. In the sixth chapter, Israel penetrated conquered Jericho by the wisdom of God; and saved Rahab and her family. Israel suffered a humiliating defeat in Joshua 7. Joshua fell on his face and cried to the Lord. He had deep communion with God. This led to the identification of Achan as the sinner in the camp. He and his family were destroyed. That was how the barrier between Israel and Victory was removed. In the eighth chapter, Israel defeated Ai through a heavenly idea he received. The 37th week is for breaking through barriers; and finding a way where there is no way. This is a week of intense and decisive battle in the sixth 49 days.

Week 37 is a book of Haggai week. Haggai is the 37th book of the Bible. In that book, God challenged the returnees from captivity to return to the work of rebuilding the temple although it was halted by a royal decree. See Ezra 4. The house of God is important in the 37th season because prayer and prophetic decrees should go forth from the house of God to break barriers in the season. The house of God is a house of prayer. The people suffered in the 37th book of the Bible because they neglected the power house of the season. In the 37th week, the House of God is a war-house. The importance of the House in this 37th week is in the prayers rising from it. We are the house of God and prayer-fire should be burning on the altar of our lives. The enemy uses fear and pressure to drive people away from majoring in the major program of the week. This week, you should not allow fear or anxiety to move you away from the House of God. Let the pressures of the week drive you to the place of prayer. Take the troubles of the week to the Lord in prayer. Position yourself to stand in the gap for the world in need of answers from God. The 37th book of the Bible reveals that prayer is top of the agenda in the 37th week.

Week 37 is a 37th-chapters-of-the-Bible week. The 37th chapters of the Bible draw attention to the different sides of the season.

In Genesis 37, Joseph’s brothers thought they had found opportunity to kill their younger brother. God made way for Joseph to escape death at the hands of his brothers. At the counsel of Judah, they sold him to slave merchants who took him to Egypt. That was how he became a slave in Egypt. He was more than a slave though. He was the house of God in Egypt. That was an unfolding of the divine plan to reposition the house of Jacob for dominion and global significance. There is a place called ‘Dothan’ in the spirit. It is a Fountain out of which the Law and the Decree go forth. Evil plans do not prosper there. The physical Dothan is first mentioned in Genesis 37; where Joseph escaped being killed by his brothers. The second and last mention is in the 6th chapter of Second Kings; where Elisha blinded and arrested the Syrian troops sent to capture him. This 37th week, your dwelling is in ‘Dothan’. You are in the Fountain of Life. There, the Law and the decree will go forth from your mouth; and no harm will come on you. Amen!

In Exodus 37, Bezalel made the Ark of Testimony, the Lamp-stand, the Table of Shewbread, the Altar of Incense, the anointing oil and the incense. He and his men worked on the tabernacle. The house of God (the tabernacle) is the powerhouse of the season. Prayers go from the house of God, to make a way in the 37th season. That is the reason God was not pleased that His people gave up rebuilding His house of in the 37th book of the Bible (Haggai).

Job 37 is the end of Elihu’s speech. He spoke of the wondrous works of God and the awesome thunderous voice of God by which He makes things happen. In the 37th season, voice is one of the ways to make the things you desire happen. When men raise their voices to God in prayer, in the 37th season, God raises His voice against circumstances. Job 37:2-6 says, “Hear attentively the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling that comes from His mouth. [3] He sends it forth under the whole heaven, His lightning to the ends of the earth. [4] After it a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain them when His voice is heard. [5] God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. [6] For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength”.

Psalm 37 is an exhortation to trust God and never be afraid of the wicked. Psalm 37 is about the triumph of the just and the failure and fall of the wicked. “The wicked” is mentioned 14 times in this psalm. If we trust the Lord, rest in Him, wait on Him, delight ourselves in Him, and commit our ways to Him, in the 37th season, He will handle the wicked and take care of every detail.

In Isaiah 37, Hezekiah responded to the words of the king of Assyria first by reporting the matter to Isaiah the prophet; and secondly, by praying to God himself with the letter spread on the altar before God. Isaiah told him that the plans of the king of Assyria would not prosper. He assured him that God would defend the city and that the king of Assyria would hear a rumour, withdraw from Judah and would be killed in his own land. Prayer and the prophetic word are tools for collapsing the plans of the wicked in the 37th season.

In Jeremiah 37, God overthrew the plan of man to enthrone the son of Jehoiakim whom God said would not have a son to sit on the throne of David. The king of Babylon made Zedekiah the son of Josiah king instead. Jeremiah also warned Judah of the futility of seeking help from Egypt against the Babylonians.  Trusting in man in the 37th season is a waste of time and a hopeless venture. Jeremiah was imprisoned in this chapter but the word of God was not. He was falsely accused of defecting to the Chaldeans. The king rescued him and put him in a better place and with better conditions. Those who trust in God in the 37th season will triumph.

In Ezekiel 37, the prophet, in a vision, was sent to prophesy to dry bones in the valley. He obeyed the voice of God and dry bones of dead people came back alive, rose and became a mighty army. It was a revelation of God’s plan to restore the house of Israel. The 37th season is a time to undo the works of the enemy against God’s people. In the 37th season, the word of God in your mouth is key to undoing the work of the enemy.

Disasters are common in the 37th season. 1937 was a year of notable disasters. Ohio River flood of 1937 that happened between January-February left a million people homeless and 385 people dead. On March 18, 1937, in New London School, Texas, a natural gas explosion killed over of 295 students and teachers. This is the worst school disaster in American history in terms of lives lost. On May 6, 1937, the Hindenburg disaster occurred. A German airship burst into flame when mooring to a mast in Lakehurst, New Jersey. 36 people died. On May 30, the Chicago Police Department shot and killed 10 unarmed demonstrators in the 1937 Memorial Day Massacre. On July 28, George VI escaped assassination by Irish Republican Army. On September 2, the Great Hon Kong Typhoon killed about 11, 000 persons. On October 2-8, President of Dominican Republic, Rafael Trujillo, ordered Dominican troops to kill thousands of Haitians living in Dominican Republic in what is now called the Parsley Massacre. On November 11, the Kogushi Sulphur Mine collapsed in western Gunma, Japan, and killed at least 245 people. The 37th President of the United States, Richard Nixon, was caught up in a coverup scandal that led to his unprecedented resignation. Charles Colson, founder of the Prison Fellowship International emerged from that saga to become a major house of a God. In the 37th year of the United States, on January 23 1813, the River Basin Massacre took place, in which 30-60 captured American soldiers were executed by Native in Michigan. In the 37th year of Nigeria (October 2, 1996 – October 1, 1997), there were at least 8 bomb explosions targeting citizens in different parts of the country.

There are four kinds of disasters that come in the 37th season: 1. Disasters that come to facilitate people’s journey to destiny. In Genesis 37, there was disaster in the House of Jacob. Joseph went out to see to the welfare of his brothers – in obedience to his father, Jacob. He never returned. He was to be killed by his brothers but God intervened and scattered their plans. They rather stripped him of his clothes, sold him to strangers as slave; dipped his clothes in animal blood ,and lied to their father that a wild beast had destroyed him. That was a heaven-sent transport to his royal destiny; and they couldn’t cover the scandal. The Watergate scandal happened in the season of the 37th president of the United States, Richard Nixon. The president resigned. Chuck Colson was among those indicted in Watergate-related crime. He spent seven months in jail, encountered God there, and became founder of Prison Fellowship International operating in over 150 countries today. God used that 37th season mess to give him a message and a ministry. God uses disasters, in the 37th season, to advance his purpose.

2. Disasters that come to test your knowledge of God and your confidence in Him; and to reveal God’s sovereignty and power. In Isaiah 37, Sennacherib, king of Assyria, threatened to overrun Judah and to sack her king, Hezekiah. The king of Judah cried out to Isaiah, the prophet, and to the Lord. The Lord of heaven and earth and sea assured him that the cause of Sennacherib would not prosper. True to His Word, the Lord defended the city and stoped the king of Assyria from invading or entering Judah. He heard rumors of an invasion of his country, returned home, and was murdered by his own children.

3. Disasters that come to wake God’s people from slumber. Haggai is the 37th book of the Bible. In that book, God’s people suffered terrible disasters. When they sought God concerning it, the Lord said He made it happen to awaken the people to their responsibility of rebuilding the temple. Haggai 1:9-11 says, “You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the LORD of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house. Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit. For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.” Haggai 2:17 says, “I struck you with blight and mildew and hail in all the labors of your hands; yet you did not turn to Me,’ says the LORD”. On Tuesday, September 11, the second day of the 37th week of 2001 (a core second-season day), terrorist hijackers plane-crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center and destroyed it. Many lives were lost. That was the work of evil men; but I also believe it was a wake-up call to the United States.

4. Disasters that glorify God by showing His power, not to stop what could happen but, to undo what had been done. In Ezekiel 37, the prophet was transported, in a vision, to a valley of dry bones scattered all over the place.. God told him to speak life into the dry bones. He did. The bones came together, received flesh and breath, and became a mighty army.  It was in the 37th year of Joash king of Judah that a dead man’s body thrown into Elisha’s tomb revived. It was in the 37th year of the captivity of Jehoiachin, king of Judah, that Evil-Merodach became king of Babylon and released him from prison. The 37th season is for undoing what the enemy had done.

The 37th chapters of the Bible reveal that the enemy wants to see people dead in the 37th season; but God intervenes to save life in the same season. He gives the wicked for a ransom for the wicked. Genesis 37:18 says, “…even before he came near them, they conspired against him to KILL him”. Psalm 37:32 says, “The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to SLAY him”. Isaiah 37:36 says, “Then the angel of the LORD went out, and KILLED in the camp of the Assyrians…and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses-all dead. Isaiah 37:38 says,  “…it came to pass, as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, that his sons… STRUCK HIM DOWN WITH SWORD…” Ezekiel 37:9 says, “…breathe on these SLAIN that they may live.”

This 37th week, put your confidence in God. Pray and speak the word. Wickedness and the wicked will not triumph over you. Whatever slays men in the 37th season will not succeed in your life! There were three attempts to assassinate the 37th President of the United States (April 1972, May 1972, and February 1974) but all failed. This week I decree in the name of Jesus, that wherever sunlight touches and moonlight reaches, evil and wickedness shall not triumph. Heaven has overruled the conspiracy of ‘the darkness’ and ‘the waters’ against the plans and purposes of God. The situation may seem hopeless but God will turn it around for His glory and for the good of His people. Psalm 37 guarantees that God will not leave His own to the desire of the evil one. This gives us hope that evil and wickedness will not triumph in the 37th season and especially this 37th week of the year. Happy 37th week!

The Mystery of the 38th Week (September 17-23)

0

Welcome to the 38th week of the year! The 38th week is the third week in the sixth 49 days. It is a third season week. It is September 17-23 in a clear year and September 16-22 in a leap year. The Bible patterns for understanding the 38th season are (1) the narrative of the third day of creation, the 38th book of the Bible, the 38th chapters of the Bible, and the third three chapters of Joshua, the sixth book of the Bible.

Week 38 is a third-day-of-creation week. On the third day of creation, God dismantled the water-veil sitting between heaven (firmament) and earth (dry ground). The moving of the waters made the earth visible, connected heaven and earth, and released the earth to bring forth vegetation (the sustenance locked up within the earth. Heaven gives access to the earth in the 38th season. The third season is the season of ‘the last battle’ against barriers. The season is a season of breakthroughs. It is a season of answers to prayer. It is a season when desires are granted. It is the season when God grants salvation to the distressed. It is a season of deliverance. It is a season of escape from death and bondage. Death comes in this season; the wicked also rise in this season; but God grants deliverance from both death and wickedness in this season. Heaven overthrows the wicked and wickedness in the 38th season. Be hopeful and expectant. This is a week of manifestation, access, visibility, and release for those who are in the trap of the wicked and oppressive.

Week 38 is a 38th-chapters-of-the-Bible week. In Genesis 38, Judah had three sons but lost two of them  to death because of their wickedness. He also lost his wife, Shuah, in this chapter. The first son died because he was wicked before the Lord. His younger brother died because he refused to do the lawful by raising children for his deceased brother. In Judah’s bid to protect his third son from death, he took steps that would have closed the tribe-line of the Messiah; until Providence intervened and gave him twin boys through his inadvertent night-affair with his veiled daughter in-law. The enemy did everything to hinder Tamar from having children. The enemy wanted her to be a fruitless sex machine. The men that came to her only wanted her for pleasure; but she knew she should have children for the House of Judah. The kingdom of darkness sensed the Ruler in Judah would come through her; and fought hard to see her name does not appear in the Messiah’s genealogy; but God destroyed the veil of hindrance to fruitfulness over her life. She engaged a strange idea that changed things for her. God showed her mercy. In this 38th week, the Lord will deliver you and your family from disasters and reproaches targeting families in the 38th season. This week, the Lord will keep you from losing the seed of your next generation as it happened to Judah’s family in the 38th chapter of Genesis. He will also overthrow any circumstance that wants you to be unproductive.

In Exodus 38, work continues in the tabernacle with the making of the altar of burnt offering, bronze laver, and other materials of the tabernacle. It is on the altar of burnt offering that sacrifices are laid. That’s where heaven and earth come together. The tabernacle was, in the Old Covenant, the meeting place between God and men. In Job 38, God took over and began to question Job. That servant of God had never heard the voice of God since his trouble began. He had spoken. His wife and friends had spoken; but God remained silent. Now a breakthrough came from God. Week 38 is a week of open heaven. Psalm 38 is a desperate cry to the Lord for mercy, intervention and help. The Psalmist began with his fears and circumstances, continues with his response and attitude, and ends with an SOS (save our soul) or SMS (save my soul) call: ‘But my enemies are vigorous, and they are strong; And those who hate me wrongfully have multiplied. [20] Those also who render evil for good, They are my adversaries, because I follow what is good. [21] Do not forsake me, O LORD; O my God, be not far from me! [22] Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!” (Psalm 38:19-22). The 38th season is for crying out to God for intervention. In 1998, the 38th year of Nigeria, the tenth Nigerian leader, Sani Abacha, died in office. Unfortunately, many Nigerians rejoiced at his death. That same year, Olusegun Obasanjo, the 12th Nigerian Leader, was released from Sani Abacha’s prison.

This 38th week, the Lord will show you great mercy and deliver you from enemies and adversaries. In Isaiah 38, God sent Isaiah, the prophet with a word to Hezekiah, to tell the king, in the fourteenth year of his reign, that he would die from his sickness. The king had no son at this time. The king cried to God. The Lord heard him and extended his life by 15 years. Within the 15 years, his son, Manasseh was born. The Lord grant you escapes from death as He granted king Hezekiah in Isaiah 38; and as he granted the 38th ‘breakthrough’ President of the United States, Gerald Ford; who narrowly escaped assassination, twice in September 1975.  The second and last attempt happened September 22; in the 38th week of that year. The two women who wanted to kill him, each spent over three decades of their lives in jail. This week, those who want to hurt you will hurt themselves. In Jeremiah 38, the princes of Judah threw Jeremiah into a miry dungeon so he could starve and die there – because he told them the truth. Ebed-melech, the eunuch, pleaded to king for Jeremiah’s life. The king authorized him to get 30 other men and pull the prophet out of the dungeon. In this week of escape from death, the Lord give you such breakthrough as He gave His prophet, Jeremiah; and as He granted Olusegun Obasanjo in 1998, the 38th year of Nigeria, when he was released from prison – about one month after the death of Sani Abacha. In Ezekiel 38, God said He would rise against Gog and her allies “with pestilence and bloodshed…flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone” for daring to attack God’s people. This 38th week, the Lord will rise against those who rise against you.

Week 38 is a book of Zechariah week. In Zechariah, the 38th book of the Bible, the Lord rose against the horns that scattered Judah; rebuked satan for resisting Joshua the high priest, and changed the filthy garment of the high priest. He also made decrees to restore the glory of His people. The Lord gave  Zechariah visions (revelations) in the first six chapters of the book; and released His Word in the remaining 8 chapters. This week of mercy, intervention, and escapes from death, may your inner eyes open to see and understand what God would be showing you; and may your ears be open to hear what Heaven will broadcast; as it happened in the fourteen-chapter, 38th book of the Bible. Zechariah had deep communion with God in the 38th book of the Bible. He had opportunity to ask questions and receive answers. The Lord showed, and taught, him things on a very intimately level. The 38th week is a season of deep communion between heaven and earth. The veils of the season will not blind your eyes or close your ears.

Week 38 is a Joshua 9-12 week. The book of Joshua is the sixth book of the Bible; and is applicable to the sixth 49 days (seven weeks) of the year. The 4 chapters in the third division of the sixth book of the Bible is applicable to the third week in the sixth 49 days of the year. Joshua 9-12 are about Israel’s conquests and victories in Canaan. In the ninth chapter, the Gibeonites submitted to Israel after deceiving Joshua. They deceived Israel into making a treaty and a covenant with them; for fear of destruction. That was how they escaped being wiped off. Though they became servants in Israel, the idea that saved their lives must have come from deep thought and meditation. In the tenth chapter, Joshua conquered the south lands. In this chapter, the heavens and  the luminaries (creatures of the fourth day) cooperated with Israel against her enemies. In the eleventh chapter, Joshua and Israel conquered the northern lands. The chapter closed with a record of Joshua’s victories. The 12th chapter is a record of kings conquered under the leadership of Moses; and those conquered under the leadership of Joshua. After the 12th chapter of Joshua, the remainder of the book is about the distribution of the land. The 38th week is a season of recovery and triumphs in the year. It is a season of victory over death and barrenness through deep communion. This is a week of generating productive yoke-breaking ideas.

Week 38 is Ecclesiastes – Amos week in the sixth 49 days of the year. Going through any seven weeks is like taking a journey through the Bible. Every seven-week season has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four weeks of the season belongs to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three weeks of the season constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The third week of the season is the third week in the Old Testament side of the seven weeks; and expresses the third 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the third 10 books of the Bible, God sent His prophets to speak to the people. They confronted the people, warned them against judgment, comforted the faithful, and brought judgment on the arrogant. The third week is for the overthrow of the rebellious and establishment of the humble and just. How you fare in this week depends on your attitude and response to the word of God. This is a day of prophetic confrontation and judgment. Repentance and crying out for mercy is a game-changer.

This week, I pray the Lord will grant you deep and productive encounters; and open doors for you to receive great ideas that will change lives and things around you.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Pray that God will pour out abundant mercy and turn things around for people in distress as the psalmist prayed in Psalm 38; as God had mercy on Hezekiah in Isaiah 38, and on Tamar in Genesis 38 and on the man who suffered 38 years in John 5. This is a week to cry out to God and receive intervention.

2. Pray that God will raise an intervention-force for people in need as He used Ebed-melech to help Jeremiah in Jeremiah 38.

3. Pray that the Lord will bring down hindering oaks and cedars in the nations as He did to Gog In Ezekiel 38.

4. Pray that you would see, hear, and understand what the Lord will be showing you in this week of revelations as it was with Zechariah in the 38th book of the Bible.

5. Pray that the Lord will raise His craftsmen to terrify the horns scattering communities and nations as He did for Judah in the 38th book of the Bible.

6. Pray that this will be a week of reconstruction and restoration in the House of God (locally, nationally and globally) as in the 38th book of the Bible.

Happy 38th week – of mercies, interventions, and escapes from death!

Praying Into the 38th Week

The Mystery of the 39th Week (September 24-30)

0

Welcome to the 39th week of the year! The 39th week is the fourth week in the sixth 49 days. It is the bridge (mid-point) week in the sixth 49 days. The 39th season, being a fourth season, is the link-season between the three battle-seasons and the three blessing-seasons in the sixth seven seasons (36-42).

This week is both a fourth season week and a 39th season week. The Bible patterns for understanding the 39th week are found in the fourth day of creation narrative, the 39th book of the Bible, the 39th chapters of the Bible, and the fourth three chapters (10-12) of Joshua, the 6th book of the Bible.

Week 39 is a fourth-day-of-creation week. God created the luminaries on the fourth day. They were designed to give light and hold darkness in check, rule and regulate day and night, and signal seasons. The first three days of creation were days of battle against the tyranny of the darkness and the waters.  The last three days were days of blessing. The fourth season is a fight back season for darkness. It is a season when darkness seeks to overtake people and ruin their destinies through temptations and wrong decisions. That is the reason God created luminaries on the fourth day. If have you light (revelation, wisdom, counsel) in the fourth season, darkness will have no power over you.

Week 39 is a 39th book and 39th-chapters-of-the-Bible week. Here are three things about the 39th season – from the 39th book and chapters of the Bible.

1. The 39th is the end of a phase, and the beginning of a new story. Malachi, the 39th book of the Bible, is the end of the Old Testament. It is the book before the New Testament. In Genesis 39, Jose byph’s time in Portiphar’s house began and ended. He parted with his garment of slavery in this chapter. He never returned to that house. The work on the tabernacle, under Bezalel, ended in Exodus 39 with the preparation of the garment of the priests. The tabernacle was dedicated in the 40th chapter. Job 39 marked the end of God’s first round of questions to Job. Isaiah’s four-chapter story about Hezekiah that began in the 36th chapter, ended in Isaiah 39.   In this chapter, Isaiah spoke of the captivity of Judah. Isaiah 39:5-7 says, “Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the LORD of hosts: [6] ‘Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and what your fathers have accumulated until this day, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left,’ says the LORD. [7] ‘And they shall take away some of your sons who will descend from you, whom you will beget; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.'” The remaining chapters of Isaiah are about restoration. In Jeremiah 39, Jerusalem finally fell to the Babylonians according to God’s word; and Jeremiah was freed and favored by the Babylonians. In Ezekiel 39, the Prophet saw Israel restored to her land. How has this played out in modern history? Nigeria became independent on October 1, 1960; the day following the end of the 39th week of the year. Nigeria also moved from military rule to democracy in 1999, the 39th year of her nationhood. That was when she began to move into the New Testament of her political destiny. IPOB Leader,Nnamdi Kanu was rearrested in the 39th week of Nigeria’s 61st year on June 27, 2021. The War of 1812-1814 between the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland ended with a Peace treaty in the 39th year of the United States. That war was the second and last war of America’s independence. The Camp David Accord between Israel and Egypt happened in the season of Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States. It was the beginning of a new day for the two countries. Margaret Thatcher became UK Prime Minister in the 39th seven years of the United Kingdom; and she was the first woman to hold that office. The stories of men and nations confirm there is a shift that occurs in the 39th season.

2. In the 39th season men ought to reflect on the frailty of human life and call upon God for deliverance from death. In Psalm 39:4-6, the psalmist says, “LORD, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am. [5] Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah [6] Surely every man walks about like a shadow; Surely they busy themselves in vain; He heaps up riches, And does not know who will gather them. In Jeremiah 39, Jerusalem fell as Jeremiah prophesied. In Ezekiel 39, Tog is deceived to march against Israel. The forces of Gog were defeated and destroyed; and their carcasses given to the birds of the air. 1939 was a year of great loss of lives. January 13 was Black Friday in Victoria where 71 people died in one of Australia’s bushfires. On January 24, earthquake killed 30, 000 people in Chile. On December 27, earthquake shook eastern Turkey and left over 32, 700 people dead. This is besides the lives consumed by the Second World War that began September 1. The war was an invite from the spirit of death.

3. In the 39th season, heaven permits men to be tested for their destiny. In Genesis 39, Joseph was tempted to commit immorality. He refused, and was victimized. His mind was on truth instead of fantasy. He passed the test of the season. In Exodus 39, God gave commandments to Moses about the priestly garment and the Ephod. The ephod was used to determine the will of God. The 39th season is a time to discern the will of God before taking action. It is not a time to do your own thing. If only Adolf Hitler knew that, he would not commanded the invasion of Poland in 1939. At least, he would have saved his own life. He was deceived and deceived others to go with him on a journey that did not favor him and his large company. In the 39th chapter of Psalms, the psalmist speaks of using his mouth carefully. In Psalm 39:1-2, the psalmist says, I said, “I will guard my ways, Lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, While the wicked are before me.” [2] I was mute with silence, I held my peace even from good; And my sorrow was stirred up”. Words matter in the 39th season. The season is also when the worth of men are weighed in a balance. In Isaiah 39, Hezekiah unadvisedly received Babylonian guests and showed them everything in his palace. Isaiah rebuked Him for that; but the king did not understand the weight of what he did. In Malachi, the 39th and last book of the Old Testament, the Lord entered into controversy with Israel but they were full of defenses. The contested every point God made n the point. How can a man argue, or contend, with God?

Week 39 is a Joshua 13-15 week. The 3 chapters in the fourth division of the sixth book of the Bible is applicable to the fourth week in the sixth 49 days (7 weeks) of the year. In these three chapters, Israelites began to receive inheritance in the Promised Land. In the 13th and 14th chapters, Joshua mapped out and divided the land among the tribes. Caleb, of the tribe of Judah, received his inheritance in the 14th chapter. The tribe of Judah received her inheritance in the 15th chapter. Week 40 is for allocations! The ‘big battle’ is over. It is time to begin to take your portion in the year. The 40th is time to begin sharing the booty. This agrees with what is written in Isaiah 40:1-2. It says, “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God. [2] “Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, That her warfare is ended, That her iniquity is pardoned; For she has received from the LORD’s hand Double for all her sins.” The war is over! This 39th week is a week of battles; but it is also a week of victories ending the 9-month battles and struggles of the year. Portiphar’s wife fought Joseph in Genesis 39. The Second World War broke out in 1939. This 39th week, in 2019, was a week of legislature-executive wars both in the United Kingdom and in the United States. God have mercy!

Week 39 is Obadiah – Malachi week in the sixth 49 days of the year. Every 7-week season is like a journey through the Bible. Every 7 weeks has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four weeks of the season belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three weeks of the season constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The fourth week of the season is the week closing the Old Testament side of the season; and expresses the last nine books of the Old Testament. Week 39 is the bridge-week leading to the New Testament side of the sixth 49 days. The books of ‘the minor prophets’ are part of the last 9 books of the O.T. They are about judgment and promises of restoration. Week 39 is a week of the dominion of the Voice of God in the nations.

THIS WEEK, be hopeful that a phase is ending and a new phase is beginning – even if war breaks out against you. Also, be alert and watch against the tempter and destroyer. May the Lord grant you a shift from those who want you just for themselves; to those who seek to draw out the real value in you for the benefit of all. Ensure and treasure the presence and counsel of God. The presence of God is the secret of success in the 39th season; and you should not do anything to grieve or offend the Holy Presence. Walk in the spirit. Stand for God and believe Him for the transition to a new day. Happy 39th week!

The Mystery of the 40th Week (October 1-7)

0

Welcome to the 40th week of the year! The 40th week is the fifth week in the sixth seven weeks, or sixth 49 days, of the year. The Bible keys for unlocking the mystery of the 40th week are the fifth day of creation narrative, the 40th book and chapters of the Bible, and the 5th three chapters (13-15) of the sixth book of the Bible.

Week 40 is a fifth day of creation week. On the fifth day, God made abundance of living creatures; the sea creatures to fill the waters and the birds of the air to fly across the firmament. He made swimmers and flyers. The fifth day was the beginning of flesh and blood on planet earth. It was also the beginning of motion and voice-sound in creation. It was also the beginning of blessings on creation. God never blessed creation until the fifth season. On the fifth day, He blessed the living creatures with fruitfulness and multiplication.

The things God did on the fifth day gives clue to what the evil one has in mind for the season. God made living creatures because the evil one plans death. God made flesh and blood because the enemy wants disembodied spirits to dominate the season. God put creatures in the water because the enemy wants to send fire to cause destructions in the season. Water and fire are opposites. God made the creatures in abundance because the enemy wants to attack with scarcity. God made the creatures free to move because the thought of the evil one concerning the season is stagnation and bondage. God equipped the creatures with sensory perception because the enemy wants to strike unnoticed and rob the earth through insensitivity. God imputed balance into the creatures (the fins of sea creatures and wings of the birds) because the enemy thinks injustice and inequity in this season. God blessed on this day because the enemy intends to spread curses. God blessed with fruitfulness and multiplication because the enemy wants to plague with barrenness and decimation. The fifth day of creation narrative reveals that Week 40 is a time to stand up against schemes of the enemy causing fire disasters, disease, death, bondage, stagnation, barrenness, scarcity, decimation, evil surprises, and curses. It is a season to strengthen your spiritual sensitivity for safety, survival, and success.

Week 40 is a 40th-chapters-of-the-Bible week. The 40th season is for the manifestation of God in the affairs of men. In Genesis 40, God manifested Himself through Joseph to interpret the dreams of Pharaoh’s servants. Joseph told them that “interpretations belong to God”; yet it came through him. He was Emmanuel in that prison. In Exodus 40, the glory of God filled the tabernacle in the form of cloud; and Moses could not enter the tabernacle of meeting. In Job 40, the servant of God laid his hands in his mouth and said he would not speak again. He gave up the floor so God would have His way.  In Psalm 40, the psalmist testifies of God’s intervention and deliverance following a season of waiting. Isaiah 40 says, “Behold, the Lord GOD shall come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him. [11] He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young” (Isaiah 40:10-11). In Jeremiah 40, the prophet was set free to choose where to live. In this chapter, God sent a savior, Johanan, to Gedaliah; to save his life by revealing the plot of the Ammonites to assassinate him; but he did not believe him. He rejected the truth. He lacked spiritual sensitivity. The 40th season is a season of freedom and salvation for those who believe. The 40th is a season of revelation and faith. It is not a season of rationalizations. Sensitivity in the spirit is key to succeeding in the 40th season. In Ezekiel 40, the prophet began to receive a revelation of the Jerusalem and new temple. God comes in the 40th season; so, it is necessary to prepare the way for His coming. The 40th season is a time to see into the spirit realm. This vision came in the 25th year of Ezekiel’s captivity; and in the 14th year after Jerusalem was captured; but it is recorded in the 40th chapter for our learning.

Week 40 is a 40th-book-of-the-Bible week. The Gospel according to Matthew is the 40th book of the Bible. It is also the beginning of the New Testament. This simply shows that the 40th is the point of New Beginning. The 40th is the boundary that blocks and cuts off the old. That is where ‘the old’ hands over to ‘the new’. That is the mystery of fasts that end on the 40th day. In the 40th book of the Bible, Jesus is called ‘Emmanuel’; “God with us”. The 40th book showed the ministry of John the Baptist and Jesus to be the fulfillment of prophecies. The 40th season is the beginning of restoration. It is the season of God’s manifestation in the affairs of men. The 40th book of the Bible has 28th chapters. Each day of the 40th week would express 4 chapters of the book. From manifestation in 1-4 to modeling in 5-8 to miracles in 9-12 to maintenance in 13-16 to molding in 17-20 to meditations in 21-24 to multiplication in 25-28.

Week 40 is a Joshua 13-15 week. Joshua is the sixth book of the Bible and is applicable to the sixth 49 days of the year. The fifth 3 chapters of the sixth book of the Bible is applicable to the fifth week in the sixth 49 days (7 weeks) of the year.

The number ’40’ and ‘the 40th’ are not the same. It is easy to confuse the two but they are not the same. The number ’40’ is summative; but the 40th is about sequence, rank, or position. There’s a lot in the Bible about the number ’40’. Moses fasted 40 days in the wilderness. Israel journeyed 40 years through the wilderness.  Saul, David, and Solomon, each, ruled Israel for 40 years. Elijah journeyed 40 days in the strength of one meal to get to where he would hear God. Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness after His baptism and the Voice that came to Him from Heaven. This is the 40th week of the year. By the end of this week, we would have gone through 40 weeks in the year. What is it about ’40’?  Completing 40 weeks in the year is a prophetic statement that the journey is completed; and it is time to enter into the purpose of the journey.

What about the 40th? It is the finishing point. That is WHEN the journey or count is completed. Without the 40th, the journey is not complete. The 40th is where God comes to meet man and take over from man. That is where He comes to show His power and glory. The 40th season is the season of God and His Word. That is when the word of God is fulfilled. In Genesis 40, Joseph gave a word to Pharaoh’s Butler and Baker; and the word was fulfilled in the same chapter. In this chapter, Joseph was transformed from man’s messenger and slave into God’s Messenger. In Exodus 40, it is recorded, seven times, that Moses did everything “as the Lord had commanded him”. When he did as God commanded, God also fulfilled His word by coming to dwell in the Tabernacle as He said in Exodus 25:8-9: “And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it”. When the glory of God filled the Tabernacle in Exodus 40, Moses could not go in. God takes over from man in the 40th. Israel entered Canaan in the 40th year of journeying from Egypt. Psalm 40 is about the fulfillment of God’s word. Psalm 40:1-3 says, “I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. [2] He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. [3] He has put a new song in my mouth- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD”. The 40th book of the Bible makes references to the Old Testament to show that events in the life and ministry of Jesus fulfilled prophecy. The appearance of Jesus in the book of Matthew was a fulfillment of prophecy concerning the Messiah. In that book, Jesus said He came to fulfill the Law; not to destroy it. In the 40th book of the Bible also, John the Baptist fulfilled Isaiah 40. Isaiah 40 tells us that God’s word stands forever.

THE NATIONS AND THE 40TH: Ronald Reagan was the 40th President of the United States. His administration initiated steps that led to the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Berlin Wall. Winston Churchill became Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in 1940 – succeeding the Neville Chamberlain (the 40th PM) as the 41st PM. He led the United Kingdom through the Second World War. The death and destruction that come to men in the 40th season happen through spiritual insensitivity. The world shouldn’t have been at war in 1940. The 40th year of the 20th century should have been a season of comfort as Isaiah 40 reveals. If we do not man the gates of time, the enemy will pass through them. Nigeria became independent in the 40th week of 1960; and her 40th year (2000) was the first year of her transition and return to democracy – with Olusegun Obasanjo as President. In the 40th year of Nigeria, a sad new testament began in Nigeria with the introduction of Sharia law in Kaduna State. Religious riots that lasted three months (February 21 – May 23) broke out in Kaduna State and claimed 2000 – 5000 lives.

This week, get ready to see the glory of God and redefinitions of the old. What is of man in this year will end this 40th week! As the stripes of Jesus ended with the 39th, I declare that the season of stripes in the year has passed with the 39th week. Get ready to see God’s word fulfilled in your life and in the nations. Get ready to receive a confirmation of God’s word to you. This week, let your spirit rise above your flesh; exalt revelation above reasoning; faith above feeling and sight; and life above law. Happy 40th week!
