The Mystery of the 30th Week

Welcome to the 30th week of the year! The 30th week of the year is the second week in the fifth 49 days of the year. The second season is a season of conflicts and battles. 

The 30th week is a second day of creation week. On the second day of creation, God made the firmament and set it against the waters – to divide the waters above from the waters beneath. The second season is a monopoly-breaking season. God thwarts the proud and rebellious in the second season. He also shows mercy to the humble. In second seasons, God makes a way where there is no way. This 30th week, as always, pray with expectation. The Way-Maker is on duty!!!

The 30th week is a book-of-Amos week. Amos is the 30th book of the Bible and is applicable to 30th day, week, year, years, and so on. On one hand Amos was a confrontational prophet of doom. He spoke of God roaring from Zion, sending fire to devour palaces, and punishing people with famine, pestilence, and other death-causing disasters. 

Amos 1:2 says, “The LORD roars from Zion, And utters His voice from Jerusalem; The pastures of the shepherds mourn, And the top of Carmel withers.” Amos 2:4-5 says, “…For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they have despised the law of the LORD, And have not kept His commandments. Their lies lead them astray, Lies which their fathers followed.. I will send a fire upon Judah, And it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.” Amos 3:15 says, “I will destroy the winter house along with the summer house; The houses of ivory shall perish, And the great houses shall have an end,” Says the LORD”. Amos 4:6-12 says, “I also gave you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, And lack of bread in all your places…I also withheld rain from you, When there were still three months to the harvest. I made it rain on one city, I withheld rain from another city. One part was rained upon, And where it did not rain the part withered. [8] So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water, But they were not satisfied;…I blasted you with blight and mildew. When your gardens increased, Your vineyards, Your fig trees, And your olive trees, The locust devoured them…I sent among you a plague after the manner of Egypt; Your young men I killed with a sword, Along with your captive horses; I made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils…I overthrew some of you, As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand plucked from the burning; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the LORD. “Therefore…Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!” The Book of Amos is a call to seek God and return to Him. Amos 5:14-15: Seek good and not evil, That you may live; So the LORD God of hosts will be with you, As you have spoken. Hate evil, love good; Establish justice in the gate. It may be that the LORD God of hosts Will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph. Amos 6:1,3,7 says, “Woe to you who are at ease in Zion, And trust in Mount Samaria, Notable persons in the chief nation, To whom the house of Israel comes! Woe to you who put far off the day of doom, Who cause the seat of violence to come near; Therefore they shall now go captive as the first of the captives, And those who recline at banquets shall be removed”. Amos was not only a prophet of doom, He was also an intercessor. When the Lord gave him visions of impending destruction. he prayed to the Lord to forgive. Amos 7:4-6 says, “Thus the Lord GOD showed me: Behold, the Lord GOD called for conflict by fire, and it consumed the great deep and devoured the territory. Then I said: “O Lord GOD, cease, I pray! Oh, that Jacob may stand, For he is small!” So the LORD relented concerning this. “This also shall not be,” said the Lord GOD. Amos 8:2-3,9-14 says, “…Then the LORD said to me: “The end has come upon My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore. And the songs of the temple Shall be wailing in that day…Many dead bodies everywhere, They shall be thrown out in silence…I will make the sun go down at noon, And I will darken the earth in broad daylight;  I will turn your feasts into mourning, And all your songs into lamentation; I will bring sackcloth on every waist, And baldness on every head; I will make it like mourning for an only son, And its end like a bitter day….I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the LORD. They shall wander from sea to sea, And from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, But shall not find it. In that day the fair virgins And strong young men Shall faint from thirst. Those who swear by the sin of Samaria, Who say, ‘As your god lives, O Dan!’ And, ‘As the way of Beersheba lives!’ They shall fall and never rise again.”

The 30th book of the Bible also shows that the 30th season is a season of mercy for those who hope in God. In Amos 9:11-15 God said, “On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old; That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,” Says the LORD who does this thing. “Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it. I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” Says the LORD your God.

As a book of Amos week, each of the first six days of the 30th week will express one chapter of the book. The seventh day will express the last three chapters (7-9) of the book. 

The 30th week is a 30th chapters of the Bible week. In Genesis 30, there was crisis in Jacob’s family. Rachael wanted a child desperately. She gave her maid, Bilhah, to her husband and she gave birth to Dan and Naphtali. Leah also gave her maid, Zilpah, to Jacob; and she gave birth to Gad and Asher. Leah eventually gave birth to her last two sons – Issachar and Zebulun. She also gave birth to her only daughter, Dinah. At last, Rachael gave birth to Joseph. Jacob had seven sons and one daughter in this chapter. Jacob also made a deal with Laban that made him wealthy; after he had thought of leaving his father in-law with his family. In Genesis 30, Jacob’s family went from pain to gladness. The 30th week is a season of going from pain to joy.

Deuteronomy 30 is about curses following rebellion against God and blessings following repentance and obedience. It about choosing between death and life or blessing and cursing. The 30th week is for making decision to stay up or down; to go up or come down.

In First Samuel 30, Amalekites raided David’s camp at Ziklag and abducted the families of David and his men; but David sought God and received grace to recover all. He went from pain to joy.

Second Chronicles 30 is about Hezekiah’s landmark celebration of the Passover. There had been nothing like that since the days of Solomon. The 30th season is a season of recovery and restoration.

Job 30 tells half the story. It shows only the dark side of the 30th season. Without God’s intervention, the 30th season is a season of doom and gloom.

Psalms 30 reveals that the 30th season is a turnaround season when morning takes the place of night, when joy takes the place of weeping, when dancing takes the place of mourning, and gladness takes the place of sackcloth.

Proverbs 30 teaches that wisdom will find a way where there is no way. Proverbs 30:18-19,24-28 says, “There are three things which are too wonderful for me, Yes, four which I do not understand: [19] The way of an eagle in the air, The way of a serpent on a rock, The way of a ship in the midst of the sea, And the way of a man with a virgin. [24] There are four things which are little on the earth, But they are exceedingly wise: [25] The ants are a people not strong, Yet they prepare their food in the summer; [26] The rock badgers are a feeble folk, Yet they make their homes in the crags; [27] The locusts have no king, Yet they all advance in ranks; [28] The spider skillfully grasps with its hands, And it is in kings’ palaces”.

Isaiah 30 is the hopelessness of rebellion against God; as in Israel trusting in Egypt against the counsel of God. It is also about the graciousness of God promising restoration to Zion, and about the judgment of Assyria. In the 30th season, the pain of those who trust in God is turned to joy. 

Jeremiah 30 is the promise of the restoration of Judah. Jeremiah 30:18-22 says, “Thus says the LORD: ‘Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents, And have mercy on his dwelling places; The city shall be built upon its own mound, And the palace shall remain according to its own plan. [19] Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving And the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. [20] Their children also shall be as before, And their congregation shall be established before Me; And I will punish all who oppress them. [21] Their nobles shall be from among them, And their governor shall come from their midst; Then I will cause him to draw near, And he shall approach Me; For who is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?’ says the LORD. [22] ‘You shall be My people, And I will be your God.'” Jeremiah 30 shows that the 30th season is a season of restoration. 

Ezekiel 30 is the word of the Lord against Egypt and Ethiopia in the days of the captivity.

Disasters of the 30th seasons are warning bells to the proud and arrogant. Is there a relationship between the contents of the 30th book and chapters of the Bible and things happening in 30th seasons in our world and day? Certainly! The 9/11 terrorist attack took place in the 30th year of America’s fifth 49 years. That was a Book of Amos year in the United States. The Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 happened in the season of the 30th President of the United States, Calvin Coolidge. The year 1930 was a book of Amos year in the 20th century. The Great Depression was part of the experience in that year. The same year, fire broke out in Ohio Penitentiary in Columbus and claimed 320 lives. A 7.1 M Salmas Earthquake killed about 3000 people between Northwestern Iran and Southeastern Turkey. Another earthquake (7.3M) killed 272 and destroyed 650 houses in North Izu, Japan. The British airship, R101, crashed in France on its maiden flight, on its way to India – killed 48 people.  In the 30th week of 1930, in Italy, the Irpinia earthquake occurred and killed more than 1400 people. In January 1986, in the last year of America’s 30th seven years, the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster happened killing all seven on board. On July 27, 1990, the 30th week in Nigeria’s 30th year, Gideon Gwaza Orkar, and 41 other military officers were executed by firing squad; for attempting to overthrow the government of Ibrahim Babangida on April 22, 1990.

The 30th season is a season to battle the proud and arrogant. But it is not only about disasters. It is also about making a way for the humble and desperate. As God made a way for Rachael to give birth to Joseph in Genesis 30, that is how He made way for Mahatma Ghandi and his followers to break the salt laws of British India following the 200 mile Protest March from March 12-April 5, 1930.

The 30th week is a Deuteronomy 6-10 week. The second five chapters of the fifth book of the Bible is applicable to the second week in the fifth 49 days of the year. In Deuteronomy 6-10 Moses reviewed Israel’s election and uniqueness to her. In the sixth chapter, he commanded Israel to prioritize the teaching and doing of the law. In the seventh chapter, he showed Israel how God’s grace made them a chosen people; in the eighth chapter, Israel is commanded to remember the Lord (and His goodness) and not forget Him when they enter the Promised Land. In the ninth chapter, Moses reviewed Israel’s rebellion and magnified the goodness of God. In the tenth chapter, Moses received the second pair of the tablets of the Law. In the second five chapters of Deuteronomy, Moses wanted to secure commitment to God and His Word. He wanted to help the people stay glued to God. Cleaving to God is the key to blessings in the 30th season.

What is the word of the Lord concerning the week?

This is a week of warning against contention and disasters. The enemy wants the 30th week to be a week of disasters and contentions. God wants it to be a week of release from oppression and answers to prayers. In this week, dialogue is better than war.

In Genesis 30, God opened the womb of Rachel and she gave birth to Joseph. The contentions did not open her womb but seeking God did. Jacob also found a way to prosper under Laban without contention. Thanks to dialogue. 

In First Samuel 30, David’s men contended with him over the raid of their Ziklagl camp and the abduction of their families. David sought God and found a way to recover all the enemy took from them. 

India sought independence from Britain in 1930 through non-violent civil disobedience. They averted disasters. Negotiations began. It is not a season to seek independence from God. It is a time to agree with God. 

The 30th President of the United States, Calvin Coolidge signed, into law, the Native American Citizenship Act – thus granting citizenship rights to native Americans born within the United States territory. 

In the opening months of the 30th seven years of United States, under President Jimmy Carter administration, Egypt and Israel signed the Camp David Accord in 1978.

The misguided Gideon Orka coup to overthrow Ibrahim Babangida government on April 22 was a disaster. It happened in the 30th year of Nigeria. The 30th season does support contentions and revolutions. It is a season of accords and treaties. The 1983 Beirut bombing that cost America the lives of 241 officers was reaction to America’s role in Lebanese Civil War. The 1983 invasion of Grenada cost America so much too. 

This week, stay glued to God. Cry out to Him to make a way for you where there is no way. Then, follow His leading. Follow peace with all men. Happy 30th week!

The Mystery of the 29th Week (July 16-22)

Welcome to week 29! The 29th week is the beginning and first week of the fifth 49 days of the year. The 29th week is a first-season week. The Lord is the first; and the first is the Lord’s. The 29th week, therefore, is the time to lay foundation for the fifth 52 days through obedience, repentance, prayer, worship, faith, and other means of coming into alignment with God. If the Lord is not honored in the first season, He claims His right of Lordship and reacts to the rebellious. This is the week of July 16 – 22 in a clear year and July 15 – 21 in a leap year.

The Bible patterns for understanding the 29th season are first day of creation narrative, the 29th book of the Bible, the 29th chapters of the Bible, and the first five chapters of the the book of Deuteronomy. 

The 29th week is a first day of creation week because it is the week opening the fifth 49 days of the year. God decreed light against darkness on the first day of creation. That light was not the sun, moon, or stars. God is Light and there is no darkness in Him. God is first and the first is God’s. Light was the first thing that came from God. Light is the Firstborn of God; and the Firstborn of God is Light. The 29th week is a week of conflict between light and darkness, truth and falsehood, and righteousness and wickedness. It is a time to seek alignment with God. It is a time to prevail against darkness with light

The 29th week is a book of Joel week. Joel is the 29th book of the Bible. Beginning with a prediction of a disastrous invasion of the land by a fierce and well organized ‘northern army’, the prophet challenges the leadership to call for a solemn assembly to seek the Lord with fasting and repentance. It was a call to keep darkness from overtaking the people through disasters. The book ends with a promise of God’s intervention to revive and restore His people; and judge the enemies of His people. The 29th book of the Bible indicate that the key to divine intervention in the 29th week is seeking alignment with God through repentance-prayer. It is time to cry out against the invasion of any ‘northern army’.

The 29th week is a 29th chapters of the Bible week. In Genesis 29, Jacob met Rachel by a well of water, served Laban 14 years, and married Leah and Rachel and got four sons from Leah – Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah. That is the fruitfulness of the fifth season. He enjoyed a blessed 29th season – because He went with the presence of God (See his encounter with God in Genesis 28). Exodus 29 is about the consecration of Aaron and his sons as priests; and about the daily offerings – to ensure the presence of the Lord among His people. Numbers 29 is about the feasts and offerings of the seventh month – Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles. It is the presence of God that blesses in the fifth season; and the first day of the week is the time to secure it. Deuteronomy 29 is about the renewing of covenant at Moab. Peace with God is the key to blessings in the 29th season. In First Samuel 29, God delivers David from going to war against Saul and Israel. The Philistines rejected him and his assistance. He must have prayed to God to intervene and keep him from going to war against His nation and master. In First Chronicles 29, David received offerings, from the people, for the building of the temple. The 29th season is the time to make preparations for the presence of God. The people gave willingly and generously. Second Chronicles 29 is about Hezekiah’s reformation. He cleansed the temple and restored temple worship. In Job 29, the servant of God recalls the good old days. The 29th season is a blessed season; not bad season of recalling the good old days. Psalm 29 calls us to give to the Lord the glory due to His name and to worship Him in the beauty of holiness. It goes further to speak of the wonders of the voice of God. If you give glory to God, His voice goes to work on your behalf. The voice of God announces the presence of God. Proverbs 29 gives wisdom for success in the 29th season – obedience, righteousness, wisdom, justice, etc. Isaiah 29 is a prophecy of woes against Ariel (Jerusalem) for disobedience. Disobedience brings curses in the 29th season. Jeremiah 29 is Jeremiah’s letter to the captives to let them know the captivity will last 70 years. He cursed the people who spoke lies to the people in the name of the Lord. The 29th season is a season of curses for those who turn away from the Lord. Ezekiel 29 is prophecy against Pharaoh and Egypt. The Lord promises to give Egypt to Babylon.

The 29th week is a Deuteronomy 1-5 week. The first five chapters of the fifth book of the Bible is applicable to the first week in the fifth 49 days of the year. Deuteronomy is the fifth book of the Bible. In the first five chapters of Deuteronomy, Moses reviewed the history of Israel’s journey from Horeb – the Law, the battles, and the tastings – with a hope to prepare the people to hold on to the commandments of God as they go to the promised land.

This week, Light will prevail against darkness by the presence of God in your life and affairs. Stay in alignment with God.  Happy 29th week! 

The 29th week is a week of rehabilitation. It is a season of healing from devastation, desolation, emptiness, lack, and ruin. This is a book-of-Joel week. The third day of this week is the game-chancing day. It is the day of revival. This a week of Revival. In First Chronicles 29 (the last chapter of the book), David and Israel gave generously and willingly for the work of the temple. Second Chronicles 29 is also applicable to this third day of the 29th week. In this chapter, Hezekiah undertook the cleansing of the temple and the restoration of temple worship. He opened the door of the temple, cleaned and repaired the temple. He spoke to the people and mobilized them for the work of the Lord. The priests and the Levites sanctified themselves and offered up praises and offerings to the Lord. The opening of the door of the temple is the opening of the heart. Cleaning and repairing the temple speak of repentance. The resumption of worship and offerings in the temple represents restoration. 

This is a week of thoughts of good. This week, God will fulfill His good purpose for your life in His own way. Rejoice and be thankful. In Jeremiah 29:11, God said to His people, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”. The Jews in Babylon were disappointed to learn that their captivity would last 70 years but God said it’s for good. In Genesis 29, Jacob was caught off guard by the craftiness of his uncle Laban. He and Jacob had agreed that Jacob would serve him seven years to marry Rachel. When it was time to take his wife, Laban gave him Leah, Rachel’s older sister, instead. Jacob was compelled to serve additional seven years to marry the girl of his dream. He went through difficult fourteen years of service to get his dream wife. Obviously. It was a trying time; but he went through it with joy. That was how he ended up with two wives and their maids. That was how how God delivered Jacob the barrenness that plagued his father and grandfather and laid the foundation for the 12 sons and tribes of Israel What happened to David and his men in First Samuel 29 was a blessing in disguise. The Lords of the Philistines refused his participation in the battle I against Israel. David was spared the trouble of having to face Saul and Jonathan in battle.

The beginning may be bitter but the end will be sweet. His love for Rachel was tested. The Lord blessed him eventually. It was from Rachel’s womb that the savior of the family, Joseph, came. The enemy had wanted him to settle for Leah or back out his commitment to uncle Laban. Disappointed in the 29th season? Do not worry. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”. What Jacob suffered in Genesis 29 worked for him.

The 28th Week of the Year: The Mystery of July 9-15

Welcome to the 28th week of the year! The 28th week is the seventh and last week of the fourth 49 days (or the fourth week of weeks). It is the end of the bridge-season of tests and trials. This is the week of July 9-15 in a Clear Year; and July 8-14 in a Leap Year. The Bible patterns for understanding the 28th week are the seventh day of creation narrative, the 28th book and chapters of the Bible, and the last six chapters (seventh section) of the fourth book of the Bible. 

Week 28 is a seventh day of creation week in the fourth 49 days. God ended the work of creation on the seventh day. God rested on the seventh day, blessed the day, and also sanctified it. This is a week to make an end of the program of the fourth 49 days of the year. It is a week of salvation and deliverances. It is a week of delivering expectations and answers to prayers. It is the week of results – the week of justification or condemnation. God intends this to be a week without curses. So much depends on how we align with His purposes. This is a holy set-apart week. To the believer in Christ, every week is blessed and sanctified to God. To the believer, every week is also a week of salvation and deliverance. However, weeks have their peculiarities. Week 28 has its unique features.

Week 28 is a book of Hosea week in the year. In Hosea, the 28th book of the Bible, God commanded His prophet to marry a harlot and raise children by her. God’s intention was to use the Prophet’s tough marriage to teach the prophet his enduring love for unfaithful and adulterous Israel. Like the adulterous wife of the prophet, Israel committed harlotry against God and deserves to be judged. Although, God says He would judge Israel, He also promised to restore Israel. In Hosea, mercy overrides justice. What ought to be a book of judgment becomes a book of grace and mercy. Hosea is the end of the fourth seven books of the Bible. The book has a total of 197 verses. In a leap year, the 197th day is the end of the fourth 49 days. In a clear year, it ends on the 196th day. The 28 book of the Bible has only 14 chapters. The 14th is a season of intervention. The book ends with the promise of divine intervention, deliverance, and restoration. Week 28 is a week of unconditional love, grace, and mercy.

Woodrow Wilson was the 28th president of the United although he was not a firm believer in the American way. He was a published critic of the American system. He trusted the British way more. It was grace that made him two-term president of the United States. Grace justifies and makes a way in the 28th season. In the 28th seven years of the United States, Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded JF Kennedy was President. He shared the season with Richard Nixon, the 37th President. The Nixon Administration ended in a scandal. Integrity is questioned in the 28th season. The 28th season is a time to fight and end wars. The 28th president also led the United States to the First World War against the German and pro-German forces. In the 28th seven years of the United States, President Lyndon B. Johnson fought the South Vietnam War.

Week 28 is a 28th chapters of the Bible week. The 28th chapters of the Bible reveal different features of the 28th season. In Genesis 28, Jacob was vindicated. Isaac his father, and God the Creator did not condemn him for anything. They both treated him like one who did nothing wrong. Mercy prevailed. Grace covered Jacob.

In Exodus 28, Moses is commanded to take Aaron and his four sons, from among the children of Israel, and consecrate them as priests before the Lord. Special priestly garments were to be made for them. They are to stand before God for the people. They were to mediate between God and the people with sacrifices for justification. The people are not to be left to their sins. That is grace.

In Numbers 28, Moses receives the command to ensure that the offerings are brought at their appointed time – daily offerings, Sabbath offerings, monthly offerings, Passover offerings, and Feast of Weeks offerings. The offerings were to take care of the sins of the people and justify them.

Deuteronomy 28 is about blessings accompanying obedience and curses accompanying disobedience. So, the 28th is either for blessing or cursing – justification or condemnation.

In First Samuel 28, Saul was preparing for his last battle with the Philistines. Samuel had died, Saul had no access to God, David had gone over to the land of the Philistines. Saul had driven witches and mediums away from Israel; but consulted the witch at Endor to bring up Samuel for him for consultation. He was told Israel would lose the battle and the he and his sons would die in battle. That was a pronouncement of judgment. That was Saul’s scoresheet.

In First Chronicles 28, David instructs Solomon to build the temple. The temple is the place people run to – to find help and justification from God.

In Second Chronicles 28, Ahaz became king at 20; and died in apostasy at 36. Judah suffered defeat at the hands of Syria and Israel. Two hundred thousand Jews were taken captives but had to to be returned. This was the result of the idolatrous ways of King Ahaz. Here we have both judgment and mercy.

Job 28 (the middle and center of 28th chapters) declares the end of the search for wisdom. Wisdom is the principal thing in the fourth week of weeks. Job 28:28 says “And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.’” The 28th season is the end of the search. 

In Psalm 28, the psalmist cries to God for vindication. Psalm 28:3-5 says, “Do not take me away with the wicked And with the workers of iniquity, Who speak peace to their neighbors, But evil is in their hearts. [4] Give them according to their deeds, And according to the wickedness of their endeavors; Give them according to the work of their hands; Render to them what they deserve. [5] Because they do not regard the works of the LORD, Nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them And not build them up”.

The 28-verse Proverbs 28 gives the verdicts of wisdom concerning wickedness, perversity, pride, generosity, etc.

In Isaiah 28, the prophet declares woes against Israel – Ephraim and Jerusalem – who are overcome by wine and intoxicating drinks; and err through drunkenness.

In Jeremiah 28, Jeremiah declared that False prophet, Hananiah, shall die for teaching rebellion against God. He died the same year in the seventh month The 28th week falls in the seventh month. 

In Ezekiel 28, the prophet makes proclamations against Tyre and Sidon for her pride; and for the future blessings of Israel.

In Matthew 28, Jesus was vindicated when God raised Him from the dead and gave Him all authority in heaven and on earth. In Acts 28, Paul was vindicated. He was delivered from the viper and from the expectations of men. He was instrumental to healings. The case against him was never mentioned again. He was in his own rented apartment, preaching the gospel, and no one stopping him. The 28th signifies ‘end of discussion’. There is no 29th chapter in the New Testament because the New Testament is the Last Word; and since the 28th points to love, grace, and mercy, it shows that God’s love, grace, and mercy, is His last word. It is up to us what we do with it.

This week shall be a week of verdicts; for nations, organizations, families, and individuals. There would be verdicts of love, grace (or mercy) and verdicts of justice (or merit). This is a week of vindication.

Week 28 is a seventh-7-books-of-the-Bible week. The last seven days (43-49) of the fourth 49 days belong to this week. The first day of the week is a book of John day. The second day is a book of Acts day. The third day is a book of Romans day. The fourth day is a book of First Corinthians day. The fifth day is a book of Second Corinthians day. The sixth day is a book of Galatians day; and the seventh day is a book of Ephesians day. The seventh seven books of the Bible are books of justification by grace through faith. Together, they reveal that the 28th week is a week of grace and mercy. It is a week of experiencing the love, grace, and mercy, of God. 

Week 28 is a Numbers 32-36 week in the fourth 49 days. The seventh five chapters (31-35) of the fourth book of the Bible (plus the last chapter – 36th) are applicable to the seventh week in the fourth 49 days of the year. The 32nd chapter is about the Israelites who chose to settle before Jordan. Chapter 33 is a review of Israel’s journey (departing and camping) from Egypt. Chapter 34 is about how the Promised Land would be divided among the tribes. Chapter 35 is about the cities of the Levites and the Cities of Refuge. Those were sacred places. Chapter 36 is about the marriage of female heirs to guard against loss of inheritance. The last six chapters (31-36) of the fourth book of the Bible are chapters of verdicts – concerning Balaam, the two and half tribes that wanted to settle before Jordan, the division of the land, and about the inheritance of the daughters of Zelophehad. Week 28 is a week of verdicts on controversies. Arguments end in the 28th season. I pray it will favor you.

Week 28 is a Hebrews – Revelation season in the fourth 49 days. Every seven-week (or 49-day) season is like a journey through the Bible; and has both Old Testament and New Testament sides. The first 28 days is the Old Testament side of 49-day season. The remaining 21 of the 49 days is the New Testament side. The Old Testament side expresses the 39 books of the Old Testament; and the New Testament side expresses the 27 books of the New Testament. The seventh week in every seven-week season expresses the third and last nine books of the New Testament. The last nine books of the Bible are books of correction, recovery, and restoration. The Mystery of the 27th Week (July 2-8)

Welcome to the 27th week of the year! This is the sixth week in the fourth 49 days of the year. The Bible patterns for understanding the 27th week are the sixth day of creation narrative, the 27th book and chapters of the Bible, the sixth five chapters (26-30) of the fourth book of the Bible.

The 27th week of the year is a sixth day of creation week. On the sixth day of creation, God made man in His image to TAKE CHARGE. He both unveiled Himself in man; and veiled Himself in man. Why did God make man on the sixth day, in His image and to rule (have dominion? It is because of the rebellion of the sixth season. In the sixth season, the kingdoms of men seek to become (or make itself) something greater or higher than it is – intending to cover up the kingdom and purpose of God. So, the sixth season is a time to rule in the midst of your enemies. It is a time to enforce the rule and dominion of God in the world of men. It is a season of battling to establish the will and dominion of God in a world where men do not want to give God His place.

This is a season to crush human arrogance and sinful pride. God also gave food to man on the sixth day. It means food is an important issue in the 27th week. The creatures of the sixth season are intelligent and have strong sensory perception. Spiritual sight is necessity in this season. This means we should smart and discerning in the 27th week. The 27th season is for uncovering the covered – through revelations and sanctified rebellion.

This 27th week is a book of Daniel week. Daniel is the 27th book of the Bible. In the 27th book of the Bible, Babylon sought to exalt herself above God by covering up and swallowing up the image of God in the land. God’s people had to stand up for God; and by their stand, gave God opportunity to reveal Himself as the Governor among the nations and as the Sovereign Ruler of the universe. In the book of Daniel, the king of Babylon gave Babylonian names to four Hebrew young men; and taught them Babylonian arts and science; but Babylon could not change their Jewish blood or mindset. This is a week of revelations and discernment. This involves ability to perceive, understand, and interpret (uncover), by divine enablement, what is hidden. Daniel was an ‘unraveler’ of mysteries. No secret could be hidden from him. He was careful with the food of Babylon. The 27th season is about ability or inability to discern and uncover what is covered. The 27th season is also a season of overthrows. Conspiracies and lies told against them, to cover up the truth could not stand. Slavery could not bury who they were. It is also about standing out and refusing to be covered. The wicked and proud are overthrown in the 27th season.

The 27th President of the United States, William Taft, stood against the appointment of blacks to federal offices. That was a clear departure from his predecessor and from the fundamental humanitarian mission of the Republican Party. He sought re-election but did not win. His predecessor, Theodore Roosevelt, who had hand-picked him as successor, split the Republican Party to run against Taft. May the forces that had helped you not fight against you in this 27th season; as God fought Nebuchadnezzar and Babylon in the 27th book of the Bible; and fought liberal imperialist PM, Lord Rosebery (Archibald Primrose) in the 27th seven years of the United Kingdom; and fought the 27th Prime Minister of Italy, Benito Mussolini, the founder of Fascism; and fought America in President J. F Kennedy in the 27th seven years of the United States.

This is also a 27th chapters of the Bible week. In Genesis 27, Jacob covered himself with Esau’s clothes, on the advice of his mother, to deceive his blind father, Isaac, and steal Esau’s blessing – after serving him the food he wanted. However, he could not cover his voice. Isaac could not uncover what Rebekah and Jacob had covered; he came very close but still couldn’t. Blessed is the one that satisfies the hungry in the 27th season.

In Exodus 27, God gave commands to Moses concerning the altar of burnt offerings, the court of the tabernacle, and the care of the lamp stand. These were shadows of Christ uncovered at the cross. This chapter speaks of ‘overlay’, ‘screen’, ‘hangings’, and ‘veil’. All this is about where sins are covered.

In Leviticus 27, God gave commands concerning the redemption of things consecrated or dedicated to Him. Redemption is like the uncovering of what is covered. Leviticus is only book of the Bible that ends at the 27th chapter. The 27th means the ‘covered’ that shall be ‘uncovered’.

In Numbers 27, Joshua is unveiled as Moses’ successor. Before that time, Moses solved the puzzle concerning the daughters of Zelophehad. Listen to ‘the woman’ in the 27th season. There is no success without a woman in the 27th season. May God give you wisdom how to apply this.

In First Samuel 27, Achish, the king of Gath received David as an ally against Israel and even gave him Ziklag as settlement. He did not know, and could not discern, that David was not a friend at all.

In Psalm 27, the psalmist speaks out loud and bold about his God and defies every fear or concern. He refuses to be cowed or covered. He spoke of God lifting up his head above all surrounding enemies.

In Jeremiah 27, the prophet spoke to Judah and other nations about submitting to the king of Babylon. It rested on the people to discern the truth from Jeremiah or to continue to believe lies from their prophets.

In Ezekiel 27, the prophet took up lamentation for Tyre. It did not look like anything was, or would go, wrong; because she was ostensibly covered. The prophet saw through layers of coverings.

In Matthew 27, Jesus faced trial before Pilate and was crucified. Those who stood for his crucifixion, lacking discernment, did everything to cover up the loud truth. There were earthquakes. Then a centurion discerned that this is truly the son of God. 

In Acts 27, Paul stood out among the prisoners sailing with him. The captain of the ship did not take Paul’s advice at the beginning. He lacked discernment concerning Paul. He did not think of him to be more than a prisoner. But circumstances vindicated him. He eventually became ‘commander of the fleet’. 

The 27th week is a Numbers 26-30 week. The sixth five chapters of the fourth book of the Bible is applicable to the sixth week of the fourth seven weeks of the year. Numbers is the fourth book of the Bible. This section of the book of Numbers is about covering and uncovering. In the 26th chapter, the census uncovered the children who were not part of the census 40 years earlier. The others, with the exception of Joshua and Caleb, had been swallowed up. The 27th chapter is the inheritance law concerning the five daughters of Zelophehad. Their father had died and had no son. Tradition was going to cover up that house; but his daughters spoke up and a new inheritance law was made in their favor. Do not despise women in the 27th season. God made sure woman was brought in on the sixth day of creation. The 27th week is a sixth-season week. In this chapter, also, Joshua was uncovered as Moses’s successor. The 28th and 29 chapters are about offerings – daily offerings, Sabbath offerings, monthly offerings, Passover offerings, Feast of Weeks offerings, Feast of Trumpets offerings, Day of Atonement offerings, and Feast of Tabernacles offerings. The offerings were a covering for the people before God. In the 30th chapter, Moses gave laws concerning vows; how a father may overrule the vows of his daughter; and a husband the vows of his wife.

THE 27TH: THE HUMILIATION OF THE PROUD AND THE EXALTATION OF THE HUMBLE

Genesis 8:14-16: And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dried. [15] Then God spoke to Noah, saying, [16] “Go out of the ark, you and your wife, and your sons and your sons’ wives with you.

1 Kings 16:10-13,15-20: And Zimri went in and struck him and killed him in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his place. [11] Then it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he was seated on his throne, that he killed all the household of Baasha; he did not leave him one male, neither of his relatives nor of his friends. [12] Thus Zimri destroyed all the household of Baasha, according to the word of the LORD, which He spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet, [13] for all the sins of Baasha and the sins of Elah his son, by which they had sinned and by which they had made Israel sin, in provoking the LORD God of Israel to anger with their idols. [15] In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri had reigned in Tirzah seven days. And the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines. [16] Now the people who were encamped heard it said, “Zimri has conspired and also has killed the king.” So all Israel made Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp. [17] Then Omri and all Israel with him went up from Gibbethon, and they besieged Tirzah. [18] And it happened, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the citadel of the king’s house and burned the king’s house down upon himself with fire, and died, [19] because of the sins which he had committed in doing evil in the sight of the LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he had committed to make Israel sin. [20] Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and the treason he committed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

2 Kings 15:1-5: In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah the son of Amaziah, king of Judah, became king. [2] He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem. [3] And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done, [4] except that the high places were not removed; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places. [5] Then the LORD struck the king, so that he was a leper until the day of his death; so he dwelt in an isolated house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the royal house, judging the people of the land.

2 Kings 25:27-30: Now it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, that Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, released Jehoiachin king of Judah from prison. [28] He spoke kindly to him, and gave him a more prominent seat than those of the kings who were with him in Babylon. [29] So Jehoiachin changed from his prison garments, and he ate bread regularly before the king all the days of his life. [30] And as for his provisions, there was a regular ration given him by the king, a portion for each day, all the days of his life.

Ezekiel 29:17-20: And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came to me, saying, [18] “Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to labor strenuously against Tyre; every head was made bald, and every shoulder rubbed raw; yet neither he nor his army received wages from Tyre, for the labor which they expended on it. [19] Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Surely I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; he shall take away her wealth, carry off her spoil, and remove her pillage; and that will be the wages for his army. [20] I have given him the land of Egypt for his labor, because they worked for Me,’ says the Lord GOD.

THE 27TH WEEK: A SEASON TO STAND FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE

This is a week to remember those who stand for what they believe.

The 13 colonies constituting the United States declared independence on July 4, 1776.

John Hus died for his faith on July 6, 1415. The Catholic Church  condemned him as a heretic and had him burned at the stake. 

Sir Thomas Moore was beheaded on July 6, 1535 for refusing to renounce his catholic faith – repudiating the pope and accepting the annulment of King Henry VIII’s marriage. He left behind the following words: “The king’s good servant; but God’s first’.

French Huguenots lost all freedom on July 7, 1585 after King Henri III and Duke de Guise signed the treaty of Nemours.

Nazis executed 5000 Jews at Kovno, Lithuania

Joan of Arc was acquitted on July 7, 1437 though she had been burned at the stake May 30, 1431.

Opposition leader Moshood Abiola, died in prison from heart attack on July 7, 1998. 

The 27s of the Bible reveal that life is threatened, freedom is lost, and food is an issue in the 27th season. This week, be strong! Do not fear. Be sensitive and discerning. Welcome to week 26! The 26th week is the fifth week in the fourth 49 days. The 26th week is a fifth season week. This is the week of June 25 – July 1 in a Clear Year and June 24 – 30 in a Leap Year. The Bible patterns for understanding the 26th season are the fifth day of creation narrative, the 26th book and chapters of the Bible, the fifth five chapters of the fourth book of the Bible, and the first 9 books of the New Testament.

Week 26 is a fifth day of creation week. On the fifth day of creation, God began to make flesh and blood creatures and also began to bless creation. On the fifth day of creation, God made the fish of the sea and the birds of the air. Fish represents the word of the Lord. Jesus fed multitudes with fish and bread. The birds of the air represent the Spirit of the Lord. The Spirit descended on Jesus like a dove. The fifth season is a season to operate by the Spirit of the Lord and the word of the Lord. It is a season of ‘firsts’. The two creatures of the fifth season work and fight with their mouths. Birds and fish do a lot with their mouths. This means that the mouth must be fully engaged in this season. It is a season of voice, words, confessions, declarations, prayers, and prophetic utterances. This is also a season of seeing, hearing, and moving. Like the birds of the air, you will fly above the earth and across the firmament of the heavens. Like the sea creatures, you will go to depth of things. This is your season flying high without falling; and swimming deep without sinking or floating. This is season to be helped by the wind and water current.

Week 26 is a book of Ezekiel week. The 26th week is to the year what the book of Ezekiel is to the Bible. The 26th book of the Bible is applicable to the 26th week of the year. This book reveals that the 26th season s a time when the heavens are open to the earth for visions and revelations. It is time to see, hear, and speak. The book of Ezekiel is about visions and word-encounters. This is a time to prophesy. The word ‘prophesy’ is used about 27 times in the book of Ezekiel; and half of those times, is to “prophesy against”. Ezekiel prophesied from a book of “lamentations, mourning, and woe” that was given to him. It is a season of issuing divine decrees. In this season, God does things that would cause men to “know that I am the Lord”. It is a season of instruction by judgment.

Week 26 is the week of “son of man”. Ezekiel is called ‘son of man’ 93 times in the 48-chapter 26th book of the Bible. In the New Testament, Jesus also called Himself ‘the son of man’. Ezekiel was both an expression of the original man (by unquestioning compliance to God’s will) and a foreshadow of “Son of Man”, who came into the world to do the will of God. Both Ezekiel and Jesus were not expressions of the fallen man. Their ministries began with the opening of heaven. This is the week of the man God intended; and a week of unquestioning submission to the will of God.

The Spirit and the Word were the two vital forces empowering the prophet in this book. This is a season of spiritual transportation by the Spirit. “The spirit lifted me and brought me into….”. In this book, the prophet traveled places in the spirit and by the Spirit. The prophet was borne by the Spirit of God to go to places he went and to see the things he saw. The word of the Lord also came to him several times. He was a man driven by the Spirit of the Lord and the word of the Lord. He saw, heard, and spoke. The 26th season is a time to hear, see, and speak. It is a season to move by the Sprit and speak by the word of the Lord. The 26th season is a season of life through the Word and the Spirit. 

Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th President of the United States. He was the ‘Ezekiel’ of US presidency. As disaster led Ezekiel to prophetic ministry, the assassination of the 25th President made TR the 26th President. On October 11, 1910, he became the first US President to fly in an aircraft while in office. Ezekiel was the prophet of space travels. Harry Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower served as Presidents in the United States; in the 26th seven years of the United States (1951-1958). Both were great visionary leaders. The ‘Air Force One’ call sign for the aircraft carrying the US President was created within the 26th seven years of the US. Dwight D. Eisenhower created the Interstate Highway System within the 26th seven years in 1956. Ezekiel was a prophet of spiritual transportation. He was always on the highway in the spirit. He travelled widely in the spirit. The 26th season is time to fly.

For the 26th week of days or week of years, the book of Ezekiel is divided into seven parts as follows: Day 1: Ezekiel 1-7: visions and revelations living creatures; Day 2: Ezekiel 8-14: prophecy against false prophets and those who devise iniquity; Day 3: Ezekiel 15-21: Exposing the harlotry and nakedness of Judah; Day 4: Ezekiel 22-28: visitation on Judah and Tyre with darkness for bloodshed; Day 5: Ezekiel 29-35: prophecy against the nations (Babylon, Egypt, Mount Seir). The city captured. It is a season of restoration; Day 6: Ezekiel 36-42: Season to fulfill promise. Prophecy of restoration to the Mountains of Israel. Destruction of Gog and Magog. Vision of the restoration of the temple; Day 7: Ezekiel 43-48 – visions of the new temple and city. 

Week 26 is a 26th-chapters-of-the-Bible week. In Genesis 26, God prospered Isaac in a season of famine. This is a season of blessing. Exodus 26 is about the tabernacle. First Chronicles 26 is about the temple. God seeks a dwelling on earth in the 26th season. Leviticus 26 is about blessings and curses. Numbers 26 is the second census. By this time, only Joshua and Caleb were left of the people that came out of Egypt. Deuteronomy 26 is about offerings to be brought to God in response to His blessings. First Samuel 26 is about David sparing Saul for a second time. God delivered David from death and put His enemy in his hands. Jeremiah 26 is about the Prophet’s deliverance from death. The 26th season is not a time to kill but a time to save life. Second Chronicles 26 is about the reign of Uzziah, his prosperity, pride, punishment, and death. Ezekiel 26 is proclamation against Tyre. Pride is a killer in the 26th season. Job 26 is a revelation of the majesty of God. Psalm 26 is a cry to God for vindication and redemption. God delivers in the 26th season. Proverbs 26 is about the fool, the lazy, and the liar. Laziness, foolishness, abuse of the tongue do not pay in the 26th season. Foolishness is refusal to deploy the senses for perception. Laziness is refusing to drive your body to desired ends. God did not make lazy or foolish creatures on the fifth day of creation. Birds of the air and the fish of the sea are smart, sensitive, and perceptive creatures. Isaiah 26 is a prophetic song of salvation which Judah shall sing. Matthew 26 is about Jesus betrayal, arrest, and trial before the Sanhedrin. Acts 26 is Paul’s trial and defense before Caesar Agrippa. The 26th season is a time to seek justice. 

Week 26 is a Numbers 21-25 week. The fifth five chapters of the fourth book of the Bible are applicable to the fifth week in the fourth 49 days of the year. This section of the book of Numbers reveal that the 26th season is a season of overthrows for iniquity and transgressions. Those who walk with God in this season cannot be overthrown. 

In Numbers 21, Israel overthrew three kings and their nations. They were also attacked by fiery serpents until Moses made the bronze serpent. In Numbers 22, Balaam was hired to curse Israel. In Numbers 23 and 24, his efforts to curse Israel were unsuccessful. He could not cast a spell on Israel to overthrow God’s people; because they were a blessed people. In Numbers 25, Israel worshipped idols through harlotry with Moabites. Twenty-four thousand Israelites died on that day. They were overthrown by their rebellion against God. 

Week 25 is a Matthew – Galatians season in the fourth seven geeks of the year. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The fifth day of the week is the beginning of the New Testament side of the week; and expresses the first nine books of the New Testament. The first 9 books of the NT are about the Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Church. The book are about the love and grace of God granting salvation and justification to humanity by faith. This is a day to enter experientially into the New Testament side of the week. The old has passed away; and the new has begun. Dreams for the week will come to pass and promises will be fulfilled. Expect deliverance and the intervention of Light.

DECREE AND DECLARE: At creation, God spoke His will into each day. He made us in His image and likeness; and expects us to release His will into each day and into each week.  Decree this week that the spirit will govern the flesh in your life, family,, organization, and nation. Decree a change in the week and declare that this week is the beginning of the New Testament side of the fourth 49 days. As a Book-of-Ezekiel week, Heaven is open to you. You will see, hear, and speak. This week, prophesy to overthrow or establish. You will see blessings and not curses. Your movement in the spirit is unrestricted; and physical movement and transportation should see improvement. I prophesy against hindrances to movements in this season. This week, men shall know that your God is the Lord. Happy 26th week!

The Mystery of the 25th Week (June 18-24)

Welcome to week 25! The 25th week is the fourth week in the fourth seven weeks (49 days) of the year. It is a core fourth-season week – the fourth of the fourth. It is the bridge-week within the fourth 7 seven weeks of the year. What is the mystery of the 25th season? This is the week of June 18-24 in a Clear Year; and June 17-23 in a Leap year. The Bible patterns for understanding the 25th week are the fourth day of creation narrative, the five chapters in the fourth division (17-21) of the fourth book of the Bible, the 25th book of the Bible, the 25th chapters of the Bible and the last 9 books of the Old Testament.

Week 25 is a fourth day of creation season in the fourth seven weeks of the year. God made luminaries on the fourth day of creation. He made them to give light, to rule the day and the night, to divide the darkness from the light, and to regulate seasons. It is supposed to be a season of the dominion of light. If light fails in the fourth season, darkness takes over. The 25th season is a season to depend on light to escape fear, deception, and stumbling.

Week 25 is a Numbers 17-21 season. The five chapters in the 4th division of the fourth book of the Bible are applicable to the fourth week in the fourth 49 days of the year. Aaron’s rod budded and bore ripe almond fruits overnight in Numbers 17 to end contention. Numbers 18 and 19 are about laws surrounding the duties and privileges of priests and laws of purification. Numbers 20 is about the error of Moses at the waters of Meribah. This is where he made the mistake that cost him entering the Promised Land. Miriam and Aaron died in this chapter. The 21st chapter is about the fiery serpents and the defeat of three Canaanite kings. The 25th season is a season of reaction against foolishness and rebellion. 

Week 25 is a book of Lamentations season. Every dated or numbered season expresses the book and chapters of the Bible that correspond to its number. The book of Lamentations is the 25th book of the Bible and is applicable to the 25th week of the year. The 25th book of the Bible reveals that the 25th has something to do with number ’22’. The first, second, fourth and fifth chapters have 22 verses each. The third chapter has 66 (22×3) verses. The number 1-22 (signifying comprehensiveness, exhaustiveness, and fulfillment) is the number of the perfect Word of God. The Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters; and when applied to the word of God, it shows that the Word is completeness. Psalm 119 is about God’s Word and has 22 sections subtitled after the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. The 25th season is the season of the fulfillment of God’s word. In the first chapter of Lamentations, the author reflects on the condition of Judah and Jerusalem. In the second chapter, he acknowledges their problem came as judgment from the hand of God. In the third chapter, he dwells on his personal burdens. He used “I”, “Me”, and “My” 66 times in this 66-verse chapter. In the fourth chapter, he looks at the nature and weight of the judgment and challenges the people to cry out to God. In the fifth chapter, he calls on God to look on the state of Jerusalem and intervene,

Week 25 is a 25th chapters of the Bible season. The 25th chapters of the Bible reveal that the 25th season is for tests and trials. It is a test bridge-season when men reveal what is in them – wisdom or folly.

GENESIS 25: Abraham married Keturah and had sons from her. Midian, father of the Midianites, was one of the sons of Abraham through Keturah. Abraham died here after settling his children. Ishmael also died here. Isaac battled barrenness with prayer and Rebekah struggled with pregnancy until she gave birth to the first twins in the Bible. Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for food in this chapter. Decisions we make in the 25th season matter a lot. Pray and seek God’s help concerning physical conditions.

EXODUS 25: Israel is tested: the Giver of all things asks Israel to bring Him an offering for the Tabernacle. It is a season to raise a tabernacle for God. It is a season to give back to the Lord.

LEVITICUS 25 – (honor God and rest. Life is not all about labor and acquisitions). God gave commands concerning the Sabbath year and Jubilee, lending to the poor, and redemption of slaves.

NUMBERS 25 – (be self controlled and restrain your flesh): Israel fell into Balaam’s trap and committed idolatry and immorality with Moabites. God commanded Moses to harass the Moabites for harassing Israel. It is a season to deal with the enemy ruthlessly. Numbers 25:16-18 says, “Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: [17] “Harass the Midianites, and attack them; [18] for they harassed you with their schemes by which they seduced you in the matter of Peor and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a leader of Midian, their sister, who was killed in the day of the plague because of Peor.”

DEUTERONOMY 25 – (overthrow darkness): God gave commands to Moses: Justify the righteous and condemn the wicked in judgment. Let a surviving brother take over the widow of his dead brother – to build up his brothers house. Pursue justice and fairness without sentiments. Destroy the Amalekites. Deuteronomy 25:17-19 says, “Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you were coming out of Egypt, [18] how he met you on the way and attacked your rear ranks, all the stragglers at your rear, when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God. [19] Therefore it shall be, when the LORD your God has given you rest from your enemies all around, in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, that you will blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. You shall not forget”. Those who made you cry will cry this week!

FIRST SAMUEL 25 (deal with temperamental emotion): Samuel died here. Nabal died here.  Abigail saved David from shedding the blood of Nabal after Nabal insulted him and humiliated his men.  David marries Abigail.

SECOND KINGS 25 – (preservation): The fall and captivity of Judah is recorded here. Gedaliah, whom the Babylonian King made governor of Judah is killed here – with the people who were with him. The survivors, fearing the Babylonians, fled to Egypt. Jehoiachin, King of Judah is released from prison and favored by the king of Babylon.

FIRST CHRONICLES 25 (giving praise to God): David separates 288 singers and musicians unto God to prophesy with harps. 

SECOND CHRONICLES 25 – (be ruthless with the wicked): Amaziah became king and executed his servants who had murdered his father, Joash, the king. God forbade Amaziah from joining forces with Israel against Edom. Amaziah became idolatrous and obstinate after defeating Edom. Israel defeated him in battle. Amaziah died in this passage. 2 Chronicles 25:1-3 says, “Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem. [2] And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a loyal heart. [3] Now it happened, as soon as the kingdom was established for him, that he executed his servants who had murdered his father the king”.

JOB 25 reveals that Man cannot stand before the holiness of God. This is shortest chapter of Job. Bildad exalts God’s holiness and dominion against the thought of a man being righteous and pure before God.

PSALM 25: Deliver the godly from shame and give shame to the wicked. A time of prayer to God.

Proverbs 25 is wisdom for kings and those who relate with royalty. It is about conducting yourself with a sense of royalty.  The words ‘KING’ (Kings), ‘prince’, ‘ruler’, ‘rule’, and ‘court’ stand out in this passage. The fourth season is for rulers. The 25th is the fourth of the fourth-seven. Rulers rise up or go down in the 25th season. Ruling others begins with ruling yourself. Those who cannot rule themselves cannot rule others or even relate properly with them. A ruler over people should be able to relate with all manner of people.

ISAIAH 25: This is the season of the Lord’s battle against darkness. He will destroy the surface of the covering cast over all people and the veil that is spread over all nations. He will trample Moab under His feet. This is a week of war against death.

JEREMIAH 25: The Lord’s cup of fury to the nations. It is the time for the Lord to roar against the wicked in the nations. It is the time to vent anger from above.

EZEKIEL 25: Proclamations of Judgment against Ammon, Moab, Edom, and Philistia. 

MATTHEW 25: Parable of the ten virgins, parable of the talents, and the judgment of the sheep and goat nations. The 25th season is separation time. The season separates the wise from the foolish, the diligent from the indolent, and the righteous from the wicked. Keep yourself on the right side.

ACTS 25: Paul is delivered from the hand of Festus and the Jews. He appeals to Caesar. Paul escaped death the hands of Jews lying in ambush. It was wise of him to have appealed to Caesar.

THINGS TO WATCH AGAINST IN THIS SEASON:

1. REBELLION: This season has zero tolerance for rebellion. It does not spare the rebellious. Moses committed his fatal error in the fourth division chapters of the book of Numbers. Miriam and Aaron died there. The fiery serpent killed many Israelite for rebellion against God. In Numbers 25, twenty-four thousand Israelites perished at Baal-peor because of sin. The 25th book of the Bible is about the judgment that befell Judah because of rebellion against God.

2. FOOLISHNESS: This season does not smile at, or sympathize with foolishness. In Genesis 25, Esau gave his birthright to Jacob in exchange for a bowl of food. That was a costly price for any kind of food. First Samuel 25 reveals the wisdom of Abigail in her time]y intervention to stop bloodshed and save her foolish husband. Matthew 25 tells the story of the ten virgin; five of whom were foolish. The other two parables in Matthew 25 also show how people miss great opportunities through lack of wisdom. Paul’s appeal to Caesar in Acts 25 sacred his life. Wisdom is a lifeline in the 25th season.

3. LAMENTATION AND MOURNING: The 25th book and chapters of the Bible indicate that there is a spirit that pushes people into weeping and gnashing of teeth in the 25th season. The 25th book of the Bible is called Lamentations. This week, we should watch against choices, decisions, and steps that could lead to lamentations. The US bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki happened within the 25th seven years of the US. That was the first use of atomic bomb in world history. It brought lamentations to Japan.

4. FALL OF THE PROMINENT: Abraham died in Genesis 25. Samuel died in First Samuel 25. Gedaliah, Governor of Judah was murdered in Second Kings 25. The 25th President of the United States, William McKinley,. was assassinated. Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States, died in office within the 25th seven years of the United States (July 4, 1944 – July 4, 1951). Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler also died within the 25th seven years of the United States. The the Buhari-led military government was toppled in the 25th year of Nigeria.

Welcome to the 24th week of the year! The 24th week is the third week in the fourth 49 days of the year. The third season is the game-changing season. The Bible keys for understanding the 24th season are the third day of creation narrative, the 24th book and chapters of the Bible, and the third five chapters (11-15) of the fourth book of the Bible.

The 24th week is a third day of creation week. On the third day of creation, God contained the waters and caused dry ground to appear and bring forth vegetation. The third season is a season of overthrows, manifestation, and establishment. There’s a throwing down and a planting that happens in the 24th season.

The 24th week is a book of Jeremiah week. Jeremiah is the 24th book of the Bible. In that book, God uncovered the prophet in a priest; and established him in his ordination. 

Jeremiah 1:4-10 says, “Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: [5] “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” [6] Then said I: “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” [7] But the LORD said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. [8] Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the LORD. [9] Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. [10] See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.”

In his days, Jeremiah stood for the uprooting of what God is displeased with; and for the planting of what heaven approves. The 24th week is for receiving and delivering God’s word for the season. This 24th week of the year, be bold to release the power of the Kingdom against anything, and anyone, that will not cooperate with the counsel of God for the season be moved out of the way. In the 24th book of the Bible, Jeremiah, a priest in Israel, encountered the word of purpose that lifted him from priestly ministry to become a prophet to nations.

Jeremiah is the 24th book of the Bible and is applicable to the 24th day, week, year, or seven years. The 24th book of the Bible can be divided into seven seasons as follows:

  1. Jeremiah 1-8
  2. Jeremiah 9-16
  3. Jeremiah 17-24
  4. Jeremiah 25-31
  5. Jeremiah 32-38
  6. Jeremiah 39-45
  7. Jeremiah 46-52

The 24th week is a 24th-chapters-of-the-Bible week. In Genesis 24, Rebekah was found, and picked from, among other girls to be Isaac’s wife. The thick veil that covered Rebekah was lifted and she was chosen to become the wife of Isaac, the Seed of Promise. In First Samuel 24, Saul and his company who chased David to the cave were overtaken by sleep and fell into the hands of David but he spared Saul. In Second Samuel 24, Mount Moriah, which had become the threshing floor of a Jebusite, was recovered and made an altar for God. That was where Solomon built the temple of God. The 24th Psalm opens with the acknowledgment of God as the Owner of the earth and all that is in it. In Luke 24, Jesus rose from the dead and broke through the sealed tomb. In Acts 24, Tertulius gathered vain fellows to raise accusation against Paul but the false accusers could not prevail. In the same chapter, Governor Felix who denied Paul due justice was moved out and Governor Festus took his place.

Week 24 is Numbers 12-16 season. What does the 24th Week have to do with Numbers 12-16? The 24th Week is part of the fourth seven weeks of the year; and the fourth book of the Bible is Guiding Light for this season. As the third week in the fourth seven weeks, the 24th week expresses the third section of the fourth book of the Bible. Week 22 expresses Numbers 1-6. Week 23 expresses Numbers 7-11. Week 24 expresses Numbers 12-16. These 5 chapters are the overthrow-chapters in the book. Miriam became leprous for speaking against Moses in Numbers 12. The 12 spies (except Joshua and Caleb) brought an evil report of the Promised Land. In Numbers 13. Israel rejected the Good Land and God sentenced His people to 40 years of wandering in the Wilderness in Numbers 14. A man was stoned to death in Numbers 15 for violating the Sabbath. The rebellion and judgment of Korah and his company is recorded in Numbers 16. The 24th Week is for the judgment and overthrow of the rebellious.

Week 24 is Ecclesiastes – Amos week in the fourth 49 days. Going through any 7-week season is like taking a journey through the Bible. Every 7-week season has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four weeks of the season belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three weeks of the season constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The third week of the season is the third week in the Old Testament side of the season; and expresses the third 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the third 10 books of the Bible, God sent His prophets to speak to the people. They confronted the people, warned them against judgment, comforted the faithful, and brought judgment on the arrogant. The third week is for the overthrow of the rebellious and establishment of the humble and just. How you fare in this season depends on your attitude and response to the word of God. This is a day of prophetic confrontation and judgment.

In the 24th year of the 20th century, President Coolidge signed the American Indian Citizenship Act. The 24th President of the United States, Grover Cleveland, was also the 22nd President of the United States. He bounced back to become the 24th President. In the 24th seven years of the United States (1937-1944), Franklin D. Roosevelt became President of the United States. The Second World War began in this season. No need to retell the stories. I thank God for the 24th! This week, may the Kingdom of God descend on your own situation and cause a turn-around – in the name of Jesus Christ!. Happy 24th week!

Welcome to week 23! This is the week of June 4-11 in a Clear Year; and June 3-10 in a Leap Year. The 23rd week is the second week in the fourth 49 days of the year. It is a second season week. The Bible keys for understanding the 23rd week are the second day of creation narrative, the 23rd book and chapters of the Bible, and the five chapters in the second division of the fourth book of the Bible (Numbers).

Week 23 is a second day of creation week. On the second day of creation, God made the firmament to divide the water-bloc that seized all space; so that other creatures could have room and breathing space. The second season is a help-season. It is a season of helping others and also finding help for yourself. It is for opening doors and breaking through barriers. In the second season, God helps with wisdom, information, relationships, and whatever the need is. God gave man a suitable help in the second chapter of Genesis. Moses found and gave needed help in the second chapter of Exodus. In the second book of the Bible, Exodus, Israel received help, from God, to come out of Egyptian bondage. Ruth found help in the second chapter of the book. Daniel received help to tell and interpret the king’s dream in the second chapter of his book. The coming of the Helper, the Holy Spirit is recorded in the second chapter of Acts. The 23rd week is a week of help from above.

Week 23 is a book of Isaiah week. Isaiah is the 23rd book of the Bible. Isaiah prophesied in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. The book of Isaiah is about ‘desolation’ and ‘restoration’. The first 39 chapters of the book is about judgments and desolations in the nations – Israel and others. The following 27 chapters are chapters of comfort and restoration. Isaiah was a great support to king Hezekiah against the kings of Assyria. His prophetic ministry broke the strength of Sennacherib. He prophesied the fall of proud and arrogant nations and their kings, and the rising of kings and nations. He prophesied about the virgin-birth and the Messiah. He prophesied about the new heaven and the new earth. The book of Isaiah is the miniature Bible. It has 66 chapters as the Bible has 66 books. Each chapter of Isaiah is a prophetic capture of a book of the Bible. Going through the 23rd book of the Bible is like going through the Bible itself. 

In the book of Isaiah, God is magnified and the future is made visible. This week, you will see the future, hear the Voice of God, and declare the Word of the Lord as Isaiah did. The Lord will be magnified in your life and circumstances as in the 23rd book of the Bible. Isaiah is an all-encompassing book. Going through week 23 is like experiencing the 23rd book of the Bible. Each day of the week would have its pattern in nine chapters of the book. The last day of the week would have its pattern in the last 12 chapters (55-66) of the book. It is a week to war with the word. It is a week to declare the word of God. It’s a week of seeing, hearing, and declaring the counsel of our Superior God. This 23rd week is a week of destructions and rehabilitation. It is a week of war and battles against proud and oppressive monopolies. It is a season to overthrow the prevailing evil waters with the prophetic firmament of God. This week, may the Lord war against your adversaries and build you up. This week, may your life and person never be an obstruction to divine counsel and purposes.

As Isaiah backed the kings of Judah with the word of God against proud and arrogant Assyria and other nations, in the 23rd book of the Bible. God is a Backbone in the 23rd season. The 23rd book of the Bible captured the future like no other book of the Bible. The 23rd season is like the beginning of the future. He 23rd is the season of ‘all in one’. In the season of the 23rd president of the United States, Benjamin Harrison, the United States began to be a naval power. He admitted more states into the Union than any other president; and he was the earliest president to have his voice recorded (with phonograph wax). The 23rd seven years of the United States (1930-1937) were the closing years of Herbert Hoover and the first-term years of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the longest serving US President who was elected for a fourth successive term. The 23rd seven years was the beginning of a great presidency.

Week 23 is a Numbers 7-11 week. The second five chapters of the fourth book of the Bible is applicable to the second week in the fourth 49 days of the year. This section of the book of Numbers is about the dedication of people and things to God – Nazirites, offerings of leaders, Levites, lamps, and trumpets. Israel also received counsel and direction from God, through Moses, in this section of the book. 

Week 23 is a First Kings – Proverbs season in the fourth 49 days. Going through each week of the fourth 49 days is like going through the Bible. The first three weeks of the fourth 49 days is like going through the first 30 books of the Bible; ten chapters for each week. The remaining four weeks of the fourth 49 days is like going through the remaining 36 books of the Bible – nine books for each week. The second week expresses the second ten books of the Bible. These ten books are about Israel’s fame, decline, captivity, and return. The book of Job dramatizes this. The book of Psalms reveals the struggles and triumphs. The book of Proverbs reveals that the wisdom of the fear of God is the key to triumph in the 23rd season.

Week 23 is a 23rd chapters of the Bible week.

The Bible reveals 3 major things about the 23rd season.:

1. The 23rd season is a time to magnify God as Sovereign Lord and Way-Maker. It is a time to boast in God. The book of Isaiah is the 23rd book of the Bible. God is magnified in that book as Lord. Even the Lord Himself says there is none like Him. Idols and those who serve them are mocked in this book. The 23rrd week is a book of Isaiah week. It is also a Psalm 23 week. This is a week to express great confidence in the God of Israel. It is the week of All-in-One; as the 23rd book of the Bible is an all-in-one book.

2. The 23rd season is for capturing the future. Isaiah saw and spoke of the future in the 23rd book of the Bible. He spoke of the virgin conception, the rising and falling of kings and nations, the restoration of Israel, and the new heaven and earth. This week is for securing the future. Abraham purchased the future in Genesis 23. Sarah died here and Abraham bought and paid for a burial ground for his family. That gave him a stake in the Promised Land. The government of Nigeria exhibited shortsightedness in the 23rd year of the nation (1983) when it sent 2 million Ghananians parking from Nigeria – ‘ Ghana Must Go!’ That administration was ousted December 31 of the same year.

3. The 23rd season is a time to expose and mock fakery. The book of Isaiah mocks powerless idols. Jeremiah 23 prophesies against false orophets and shepherds. Jesus denounced hypocritical leaders in Matthew 23. In Acts 23, Paul called the high priest “whitewashed wall”. This season favors authenticity.

SPECIAL PRAYERS AND DECLARATIONS FOR YOU IN THIS 23RD WEEK

1. As Jeremiah 23 spoke against false prophets, and as Jesus denounced the Scribes and Pharisees in Matthew 23 and exposed their superficiality, so, may the Lord lift the rod of His Voice against falsehood this week.

2. In Genesis 23, as Abraham took advantage of Sarah’s death to purchase a burial ground and secured the future in the Promised Land, may the Lord guide you to make decisions that would secure the future this week.

3. As God blocked and thwarted the efforts of Balak and Balaam to place a curse on Israel in Numbers 23, so, may the Lord frustrate those who seek your harm this week.

4. As God delivered David from the hand of Saul in First Samuel 23, and He delivered Paul from the evil conspiracy of Pharisees and Sadducees in Acts 23, God will not allow you to fall into the hands of the enemy. Why would Sarah die in Genesis 23 while David and Paul escaped death in First Samuel 23 and Acts 23 respectively? Sarah received the negative side of the season while the David and Paul received the positive side. Jesus death is recorded in Luke 23; but He died to save us from death. He is our escape from death in the season. This week, by His grace and wisdom, He will frustrate and destroy the plot of the wicked against you. 

5. As King David prospered by the Word of the Lord and faithful relationships in Second Samuel 23, this week, you will prosper by the word of the Lord and faithful mighty men – relevant mighty men and women.

6. As Josiah, driven by the Word of the Lord, carried out sweeping reforms in Judah in Second Kings 23, and as Jehoiada led a revolution that enthroned young Josiah and dethroned Athaliah in Second Chronicles 23, so may the wind of the Lord overthrow and scatter evil seeds in the land in this week.

Week 23 is a Psalm 23 week. Psalm 23:1-6 says, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. [2] He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. [3] He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. [4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. [5] You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. [6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever”. May you find help this week and also be a heaven sent help to someone, somewhere, somehow. The fourth verse of Psalm 23 reveals that the 23rd week is like the valley of the shadow of death; but it is also the season when the Lord sets table for His anointed before enemies. This Psalm 23 week, you will experience the shepherding of the Lord as David testified in Psalm 23. You will also listen to His voice and follow Him as His sheep.

HOW TO LIVE IN THE 23RD WEEK

  1. 1. Be confident in God in the psalmist in Psalm 23
  2. 2. Be prayerful. Seek prayer-support.
  3. 3. Be sincere before God. Put off hypocrisy
  4. 4. Be far-sighted in your decisions and actions
  5. 5. Preoccupy your heart with thoughts of the loftiness and sovereignty of God.
  6. 6. Speak as a prophet. Words are powerful in the 23rd season. The future is in your mouth in this season.

MORE PRAYERS FOR THE 23RD WEEK

1. Give thanks to God for leading us through the first 22 weeks of year

2. O Lord give us a revelation of your loftiness in this week as you gave Isaiah in the 23rd of the Bible . Let God be magnified in our land this week.

Welcome to the 22nd week of the year! This is the first week in the fourth seven weeks (fourth 49 days) of the year. The Bible keys for understanding the 22nd week are 1) the first day of creation narrative, the 22nd book of the Bible, the 22nd chapters of the Bible, and the first five chapters of the 4th book of the Bible.

Week 22 is a first-day-of-creation week. God created light on the first day of creation. God is Light and there is no darkness in Him. Light came first because God is First. God is first and the first is God’s. Week 22 is God’s because it is the first week of the fourth seven weeks of the year. It is for honoring God. It is for seeking His pleasure. It is for hearing His Word. It is for doing His will and bidding. Week 22 is a book of Genesis week in a 49-day season expressing the book of Numbers. God’s intention in the book of Numbers was to set up Israel as light to rule over the darkness of the nations. In the book of Genesis, God raised His vessels from Adam up to Jacob and his family. Week 22 is preparation day for the fourth 7 weeks.

Week 22 is a Numbers 1-6 week. Numbers has 36 chapters. Let us give up five chapters for each week of the fourth seven weeks; except the first week that would have six chapters. The first section (six chapters) of the fourth book of the Bible is applicable to the first week of the fourth 7 weeks of the year. In the first four chapters, God focused attention on His people. Firstly, God commanded Moses to conduct a census of Israel excluding the tribe of Levi. After numbering Israel, he numbered the heads of the tribes and the fighting men.  Then, in the third chapter, He focused on the House of Aaron. The fourth chapter is about the duties of the three families of the tribe of Levi – Kohathites, Gershomites, and the Merarites. The fifth chapter is about isolating ceremonially unclean people. The sixth chapter is about the Nazirite. As God raised a people for Himself in the book of Genesis, that is how He raised people for His work in the first four chapters of the book of Numbers. Week 22 is for marking out God’s vessels and agents for the 7-week season (fourth 49 days of the year). It is also for isolating unworthy contaminated vessels. Week 22 is the season of people avowed to God. Week 22 is selection-day for blessing or cursing.

Week 22 is a book of Song of Songs week. Song of Songs is the 22nd book of the Bible. The book is about a romantic relationship between two lovers – a bridegroom and his bride. This book reveals that the 22nd day is for romance between God (Christ) and the believer. The 22nd book of the Bible, Song of songs, is about love. This book is a love-book. The word ‘love’ is used 38 times in 34 verses of this 8-chapter, 117-verse book. Love for God must be foundation of the fourth 7 weeks; and that foundation is to be laid on the 22nd week. Make the 22nd week a week of demonstrating your love and commitment to God. The 22nd season is a season of love to the Lord. Love is tested in the 22nd season. Self gives way in the 22nd season. Abraham was tasted in the 22nd season. He gave up his only son to satisfy the Lord’s heart. The 22nd season is a time of praising God. Praising God is a demonstration of love for Him. 

Week 22 is a Genesis – Second Samuel season in the fourth-49 days. Every seven-week season is like going through the Bible. It has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four weeks (28 days) is the Old Testament side and expresses the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three weeks constitute the New Testament side and expresses the 27 books of the New Testament. The 22nd week is the first week in the Old Testament side of the fourth 49 days; and expresses the first 10 books of the Bible. They are books of divine election – books of people chosen or called by God for different assignments. Week 22 is a season of separation and devotion to God.

Week 22 is a 22nd-chapters-of-the-Bible week. The 22nd chapters reveal that the 22nd season is for demonstrating how much God and His Word mean to you. In Genesis 22, Abraham went to sacrifice Isaac, his son, as God demanded. In Luke 22, Jesus prayed to the Father and said, “…Not my will but yours be done”. In Acts 22, Paul began to stand trial for the gospel. He believed in Christ enough to suffer for Him. The 22nd chapter of Revelation ends with the love cry of the Spirit and the Bride: “Come, Lord Jesus”. The 22nd chapters of the Bible also reveal that the 22nd season is an end; and a new beginning. Two books of the Bible end at the 22nd chapter (First Kings and Revelation). First Kings ends with the death of Ahab; the book of Revelation ends with John’s vision of the restoration of all things. The 22nd is the end! The Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters. The 22nd letter is the last. The 22nd set of psalms has the Last Word! The last word is “Praise the Lord!” The Lord is “the First and the Last; the Beginning and the End”; the first and the 22nd! He is the Triumphant Lord Who alone is to be praised.

Week 22 is a Psalm 148-150 season. The 22nd section of the book of Psalms is applicable to the 22nd Week of the year. Those three psalms belong to what should have been the 22nd seven psalms; but the section has only three psalms. The three psalms ending the book of psalms are psalms of praise to God. The End comes and meets us half-way in the 22nd season. In this season, ‘it ends before the end; and begins where it ends’. God is the End in the 22nd season; and He has no end. So, in the 22nd season, there is both an ending and a new beginning. I pray that this week will be the beginning of a pleasant ‘new day’ in your journey through this year and season.

There are no prayers in the the 22nd section of Psalms (148-150). It is all about praising God – man commanding all things and beings to praise God. In the previous psalms, man speaks to himself and other men to praise God. In the 22nd section of psalms, the authoritative word ‘let’ is used. That is the same word God used in creation: “Let there be…Let us make”. The word ‘Let’ is used about 10 times in the 8-chapter, 22nd book of the Bible, Song of Songs. In the 22nd century, man would have come into alignment to turn over everything to God.

Week 22 is a Psalm 119:169-176 season. Psalm 119 has 22 divisions of 8 verses each. The 22nd section of this psalm is titled ‘tav’ after the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Week 22 is a ‘tav’ season. ‘Tav’ connotes ‘truth’, ‘sign’, ‘life’ or ‘death’. This 22nd (tav) season points us to the end, the truth, and to life or death. The 22nd section of Psalm 119 contains the 8 last prayers of the psalmist in this chapter. Psalm 119:169-176 says, “Let my cry come before You, O LORD; Give me understanding according to Your word. [170] Let my supplication come before You; Deliver me according to Your word. [171] My lips shall utter praise, For You teach me Your statutes. [172] My tongue shall speak of Your word, For all Your commandments are righteousness. [173] Let Your hand become my help, For I have chosen Your precepts. [174] I long for Your salvation, O LORD, And Your law is my delight. [175] Let my soul live, and it shall praise You; And let Your judgments help me. [176] I have gone astray like a lost sheep; Seek Your servant, For I do not forget Your commandments”. This is a season to handle with prayer. You can personalize the prayers of the psalmist in this section.

In the 21st season, the Lord may give so much – beyond your imagination; but in the 22nd season, the Lord may ask you to give up things He had given you. This week, be ready to surrender all to the Giver of all things. Happy 22nd week!

Day 107: The Mystery of April 17

Welcome to the 107th day of the year! Day 107 is the second day of the sixteenth week. Day 107 is a core second-season day. It is the second day of the second week (or 9th day) in the third 49 days of the year. It is April 17 in a clear year; and April 16 in a leap year. The Bible keys to understanding Day 107 are the second day of creation narrative, Psalm 107, and the second chapter of the sixteenth book of the Bible. 

Day 107 is a second day of creation day in the 16th week. On the second day of creation, God made the heaven (the firmament); breaking through, and dividing, the waters. God makes room and space where there is none in the second season. God is helper in the second season. His mercy and goodness overflows in second seasons. Men are pressured to look to God in second seasons. God is magnified in second seasons because He is the Great Helper.

Day 107 is a Psalm 107 day. This psalm opens with a call to thank God for His goodness and mercies. Four other times in the psalm, attention is drawn to the necessity of giving thanks to God. 

Psalm 107:1,8,15,21,31

[1] Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 

[8] Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! 

[15] Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! 

[21] Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! [22] Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing.

[31] Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! [32] Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people, And praise Him in the company of the elders.

Each call to thank God is followed by reminders of His acts and mercies. Psalm 107 is full of references to the acts of God in favor of His people or those who call upon Him. 

Psalm 107:6-7, 13-14, 19-20, 28-30, 33-43

[6] Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He delivered them out of their distresses. [7] And He led them forth by the right way, That they might go to a city for a dwelling place. 

[13] Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. [14] He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke their chains in pieces. 

[19] Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. [20] He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. 

[28] Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses. [29] He calms the storm, So that its waves are still. [30] Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven. 

[33] He turns rivers into a wilderness, And the watersprings into dry ground; [34] A fruitful land into barrenness, For the wickedness of those who dwell in it. 

[35] He turns a wilderness into pools of water, And dry land into watersprings. [36] There He makes the hungry dwell, That they may establish a city for a dwelling place, [37] And sow fields and plant vineyards, That they may yield a fruitful harvest. [38] He also blesses them, and they multiply greatly; And He does not let their cattle decrease. 

[39] When they are diminished and brought low Through oppression, affliction, and sorrow, [40] He pours contempt on princes, And causes them to wander in the wilderness where there is no way; [41] Yet He sets the poor on high, far from affliction, And makes their families like a flock. [42] The righteous see it and rejoice, And all iniquity stops its mouth. [43] Whoever is wise will observe these things, And they will understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

Day 107 is a Nehemiah 3-4 day in the 16th week . The third and fourth chapters of the sixteenth book of the Bible are applicable to the second day of the sixteenth week of the year. That’s where the work began. In Nehemiah 3, the people began to rebuild the gates – eleven gates in all. The gates were rebuilt by different families:

The Valley Gate. 

The Refuse Gate. 

The Fountain Gate;

The Water Gate

The Horse Gate

The East Gate

The Miphkad Gate

In the fourth chapter, opposition mounted – even with threats of attack; but Nehemiah and the people continued the work; and prepared themselves against any attacks by their enemies. Day 107 is breakthrough day. It is for breaking monopolies.

Day 107 is a First Kings – to – Proverbs Day in the 16th week. Going through any week is like taking a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The second day of the week is the second day in the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the second 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. The second ten books of the Bible are books of exploits through dependence on the power and wisdom of God; and they indicate that Day 107 is a day to trust in God for help. In the second 10 books of the Bible, God wanted the kings of Israel to trust Him and lead the nation in the same direction. Beginning with Solomon, the kings of Israel began to patronize Idols. Idol worship became official in the northern kingdom following the split. Judah followed. Prophets rose in this season to call the nation back to God. Eventually, the two kingdoms went into captivity – the north fell to Assyria; and the south to the Babylonians. The Jews did return from captivity after 70 years. The last two books in this section of the Bible (Psalms and Proverbs) show that loss of faith in God is prelude to the loss of all things in the second season; but faith in God is the secret of power and strength. The faithful will triumph in the second season by the power and wisdom of God no matter what happens.

Day 107 is a Book of First Samue day in the third 49 days of the year. The ninth book of the Bible is applicable to the ninth day in the third 49 days. Israel went through major changes in the ninth book of the Bible. That is where Samuel was born. That is where monarchy began. That is where the Spirit began to come on the anointed. That is where David was anointed. This is where the ark of God was captured by Philistines. This is a day of change. It is a day of recoveries.

On this second-season day of interventions, we give thanks to the Lord for His goodness and mercies; and as well, trust Him to make a way where is no way. This is a day to remember the mercy and goodness of God. It is a day to take a clear stand against opposition. It is not a season of blending with the monopoly; but of standing out.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, declare that your faith will not fail; and that the faithful will triumph. Decree the downfall of those who disregard God and trust in themselves or idols, Today, prophesy against evil controlling powers and overthrow them by the word of the Lord. Mercy makes a way where there is no way. Today is a day of divine intervention and mercy. Today, release the word of the Lord against oppressive mountains in your life and in your world. Raise a cry to God against the proud and wicked in the land. Today, trust God to make a way where there is no way. Proclaim His word, Pray to Him. Praise Him! Happy 107th day!
