Day 5: The Mystery of January 5

0

Welcome to the fifth day of the year. Day 5 is the third day of the first week of the year. The Bible patterns for understanding the 5th day of the year are 1) the fifth day of creation narrative; 2) the fifth book of the Bible; and 3) the fifth chapters of the books of the Bible; 4) the fifth seven books and fifth seven chapters of the Bible.

Day 5 is comparable to the fifth day of creation. The fifth day of creation was a day of new things. That was the beginning of moving creatures – fish and other sea creatures swimming in water and birds flying over the earth. That was the beginning of flesh and blood creatures. That was also the beginning of pronouncing blessings on creation. God did not bless His creation until the fifth day. He blessed the fifth day creatures with fruitfulness and multiplication. The fifth season is a season of advancements. It is a season of revival and blessings of increase and multiplication. It is a season of blessings. The fifth season is an air-sea season.

Day 5 is a book of Deuteronomy day in a book of Genesis week. Deuteronomy is the fifth book of the Bible and guides Israel on how to avoid curses and walk in blessings by obeying God’s commandments. The book also states bluntly that curses would accompany disobedience and rebellion. A fifth season can be accompanied by judgmental disasters if people are out of alignment with God – disease, death, famine, economic depression, poverty, barrenness, defeat, loss of freedom, and terrorism.

Day 5 is a fifth-chapter-of-the-Bible day. The fifth chapters of the Bible reveal the nature of the fifth season. The fifth chapters of the Bible reveals that men have a tendency to walk in the flesh in the fifth season. Men battle scarcity, barrenness, disease, bondage, immorality, and carnality in the fifth season.

Day 5 is a Genesis 29-35 day in a book-of-Genesis week. In the fifth seven chapters of Genesis, Jacob lived with his maternal uncle, Laban, whose daughters he married. True to the season, he overcame barrenness, and gained material wealth. He had 12 sons from four women – his two wives and their maid-servants.

Day 5 is a Matthew – Galatians day in the first week of the year. It is a day of the compassionate intervention of God. Every week is like a journey through the Bible having an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and expresses the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The fifth day of the week is the beginning of the New Testament side of the week; and expresses the first nine books of the New Testament. The first 9 books of the NT are about Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Church. The books are about the love and grace of God granting salvation and justification to humanity by faith. This is a day to enter experientially into the New Testament side of the week. It is a day of answers to prayers, fulfillment of prophecies, and delivery of promises. The New Testament side is the spiritual and deeper side. The New Testament side is the side of manifestation. The old has passed away; and the new has begun. Dreams for the week are expected to come to pass and promises should be fulfilled. Expect deliverance and divine intervention.

DECREE AND DECLARE: At creation, God spoke His will into each day. He made us in His image and likeness; and expects us to release His will into each day. Decree this day that the flesh will not overtake the spirit in your life, family,, organisation, and nation. Decree a change in the week and declare that today is the beginning of the New Testament side of the 33rd week. As a Book-of-Matthew day, decree that Emmanuel (God is with us) takes over. As a New Testament type day, decree that the love of God will overtake human error and failure. Today, submit to the spirit against the flesh. Walk in the spirit and make no room for the flesh. The fifth season is a season of giving spiritual interpretations to earthly manifestations. Today, make it your watchword to walk in the spirit and obey God’s Word. Walking in the spirit is the key to gaining all. Birds (representing the spirit) fly above and eat from the land, the sea, and the air. Today, cry out to God against oppression and for the pains in your life. Speak out also. Trust Him to intervene in your affairs and in the affairs of people around you. Determine to make a next-level move. It’s time to shift base in the spirit! Today, put yourself on the side of blessing by choosing obedience instead of curses by choosing disobedience.

Today, keep God’s Word to your heart. Meditate on it and obey it. Avoid the temptation to walk in the flesh. That is the key to blessings. Be ready to make progressive moves.

ON THIS DAY in 2019: Fire destroyed Godrej factory warehouse in Lagos, Nigeria. The Lord will keep you and all yours safe today. Happy fifth day of the year!

Day 4: The Mystery of January 4

0

Welcome to the fourth day of the year. Day 4 is the fourth day of the first week of the year. It is also the fourth day of the first month. The Bible patterns for understanding the 4th day of the year are 1) the fourth day of creation narrative; 2) the fourth book of the Bible; and 3) the fourth chapters of the books of the Bible; 4) the fourth seven books and fourth seven chapters of the Bible.

Day 4 is a fourth day of creation day in the first week of the year. On the fourth day of creation, God made the luminaries – the sun, moon, and stars – to give light on the earth, to divide the day from the night, to rule the day and night, and to be for seasons. The creation of the luminaries signified dominion of heaven over earth, organization and orderliness; and were meant to keep confusion, deception, and stumbling away. Day 4 is the middle of the week. It is the bridge to the blessing side of the week. God did not bless creation until the fifth, sixth, and seventh days.

Day 4 is a fourth-chapters-of-the-Bible day in the first week of the year. The fourth chapters of the Bible reveal ‘the fourth’ is a season of testing sand trial. It is a season of temptation. The first murder is recorded in the first fourth chapter of the Bible (Genesis 4). The adversaries of Judah showed up in the fourth chapters of Ezra and Nehemiah. The temptations of Jesus are recorded in the fourth chapters of Matthew and Luke. A wind storm rose against Jesus and His disciples in Mark 4. The early church began to face persecution in Acts 4. Spiritually, the fourth day is a hot day. Heat was born on the fourth day of creation.

Day 4 is a Genesis 22-28 day. The fourth seven chapters of Genesis are record of testing and trials. In Genesis 22, Abraham was tested; in Genesis 23, Sarah died. That must have been a trying time for Abraham. In Genesis 24, Rebekah was tested. In Genesis 25, Esau and Jacob were born; and in the same chapter, Esau sold his birthright to his younger brother for a plate of food. In Genesis 26, Isaac was tested in a season of famine. He obeyed God and prospered. In Genesis 27, Jacob stole Esau’s blessings after Rebekah and Jacob played a fast game on Isaac. In Genesis 28, Jacob escaped to Padan-Aram. The fourth day is a day of tests and temptations.

Day 4 is a book Numbers day in a book of Genesis week. Numbers is the fourth book of the Bible. Israel was tested in the fourth book of the Bible. Most of those who came out of Egyptian bondage perished in the wilderness in the book of Numbers. God screened Israel’s fighting men and their leaders in this book.

Day 4 is Obadiah – Malachi day in the first week of the year. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The fourth day of the week is the day closing the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the last nine books of the Old Testament. Today is the bridge-day leading to the New Testament side of the week. The books of ‘the minor prophets’ are part of the last 9 books of the O.T. They are about judgment and promises of restoration. Today is a day of the dominion of the Voice of God in the nations. Let His Voice dominate in your life.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy an end to something in your life, family, business, community, and nation. Today, raise your voice against wickedness and oppression wherever it is found. Decree that today is the end of the Old Testament side of the first week of the year. Prophesy! Prophesy!! Prophesy!!! Today, also pray to be more sensitive in the spirit; to pick up necessary signals that would help you triumph over the enemy and keep darkness away. Today, pray to be delivered from falling into temptation. Pray to be preoccupied with the person of God; and to be focused on His mandate and His revealed purpose for your life. Be careful to weigh every decision in light of God’s purpose for your life; and God’s purpose for the time. Today, proclaim an end to woes and declare the dawn of a new day. Today, watch your steps and decisions. The tempter might be very close. Let the word of God guide your steps. Happy fourth day of the year!

On this day, in 2019, the Cameroon Head of State, by decree, reshuffled his cabinet and appointed a new Prime minister to lead the new government in his new seven year mandate. Did he just yield to temptation? Watch your steps today. The tempter may be very close. Read Genesis 4 or any other fourth chapter of the Bible.

Day 3: The Mystery of January 3

0

Welcome to the third day of the year. Day 3 is the third day of the first week of the year. The Bible patterns for understanding the third day of the year are 1) the third day of creation narrative; 2) the third book of the Bible; and 3) the third chapters of the books of the Bible.

Day 3 is a third-day-of-creation day. On the third day of creation, God commanded the waters to be gathered in one place; and made way for the dry ground to manifest for service. It was the day of the call and engagement of the dry ground. On that day, God commanded the dry ground to bring forth vegetation. The third day of creation was a day of overthrow. God overthrew the waters over the earth. It was also a day of manifestations and revelation. The hidden dry ground was revealed and made a solid platform for good on the third day. The third day of creation was a day of release. On that day, the dry ground released life and brought forth vegetation. It was the day of bringing forth fresh life from dry ground. It is a day to release life from death. The third day is the day of ‘the seed’. That is when the seed of the future is planted and germinates. This is evident even in the third seven chapters (15-21) of the Bible.

In Genesis 15, Abraham began to complain about having no child of his own. In Genesis 16, he and his wife devised their own way of circumventing barrenness to have a child through Hagar, their slave girl. In Genesis 17, God named him father of multitudes. In Genesis 18, God gave them a set time when their child would be born. In Genesis 21, Isaac, the child of promise, was born. In Genesis 19, Lot’s two daughters had sons through their father because they had no husbands. It’s all about dry ground bringing forth! The third season is about ‘dry ground’ bringing forth ‘vegetation’ – whether crops or weeds.

Day 3 is a book of Leviticus day. Leviticus is the third book of the Bible; and is about life coming out of death. Animals were sacrificed that people may live. Like the dry ground on the third day, the tribe of Levi laid down their rights to serve all Israel in matters relating to God. The third season is a season of sacrificial service. The third day is day of offerings and sacrifces

Day 3 is a third-chapters-of-the-Bible day. The third chapters of the Bible reveal that the third day is a game-changing day. The fall of man is recorded in the third chapter of Genesis. That was the beginning of God’s Plan B for man. The call of Moses to deliver Israel is recorded in Exodus 3. That was the game-changer in the book. The crossing of the Jordan is in Joshua 3. The marriage of Ruth to Boaz is in Ruth 3. The call of Samuel is recorded in First Samuel 3. Solomon’s first encounter with God is recorded in First Kings 3. The emergence of Haman and the clash with Mordecai is in Esther 3. The humiliation of Nebuchadnezzar and fall of Babylon began in Daniel 3. The baptism of Jesus and the sounding of the voice from heaven is recorded in the third chapters of Matthew and Luke. The healing of the lame man at the Beautiful gate that stirred the city is recorded in Acts 3. Read the third chapters of the Bible.

The Bible reveals that ‘the third day’ is a game-changing day. Vegetation came into existence on the third day of creation. This means that life began on earth on the third day. Abraham saw where he was going to sacrifice Isaac on the third day of their journey. Esther found favor before the king on the third day of the fast. Jonah came out of the belly of the fish on the third day. Jesus turned water into wine and manifested His glory on the third day. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day,

Day 3 is Ecclesiastes – Amos Day in the first week of the year. Going through any week is like taking a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The third day of the week is the third day in the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the third 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the third 10 books of the Bible, God sent His prophets to speak to the people. They confronted the people, warned them against judgment, comforted the faithful, and brought judgment on the arrogant. The third day is for the overthrow of the rebellious and establishment of the humble and just. How you fare in this season depends on your attitude and response to the word of God. This is a day of prophetic confrontation and judgment.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. This is a day of manifestation. Do not be afraid to take a stand for the Lord. It is a season to come out of hiding and obscurity. It is a day to overthrow oppression and the oppressor. It is a day to establish the humble. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy an end to something in your life, family, business, community, and nation. Today, be ready to hear His voice and respond by faith. Expect breakthrough. Be willing to sacrifice. Walk by faith! This is a day of breakthrough and pushing through barriers in the week. This is a day of unveiling. It is a day of answers to prayers. Today, pray for the overthrow of dysfunctional systems in the nations and in the church. Pray that God will make a way for the manifestation of hidden platforms and producers. Pray also that the forgotten functional people and things be remembered, recognized, and restored. Today, remember that when God delivers and manifests, it is for service and production. Do not consume His mercy on your lust. On this third day of the week, the oppressor will go down and the humble shall be delivered. Today, open your ears and heart to the Voice that calls to sacrificial service. This is a day for both the ‘emergence’ and ‘disappearance’ of people, platforms, and programs. Happy third day of the week! Happy third day of the year!!!

On this day in 2020, a powerful Iranian General, Soleimani, was killed in a targeted air strike near Iraqi airport. I pray that this is a day of emergence, and not disappearance, for you.

Day 2: The Mystery of January 2

0

Welcome to the second day of the first week of the year. The Bible patterns for understanding the second day of the year are 1) the second day of creation narrative; 2) the second book of the Bible; and 3) the second chapters of the books of the Bible.

Day 2 is a second-day-of-creation day. On the second day of creation, God made way where there is no way by creating the firmament (space). Space gives freedom. You cannot have freedom without space. After you have given the first day back to God, the second day is for making room for yourself and other things. As you gave the first day of the year to God, God will begin to make room for you from the second day. As the second season is for breaking barriers to freedom, God will take away the barriers to freedom in the year.

Day 2 is a book of Exodus day. Exodus is the second book of the applicable to the second day, second week, or second seven weeks, second year, second seven years, second 49 years, or second century. In the book of Exodus, God delivered Israel from bondage. He gave them space to evolve, grow, and develop as a nation. Bondage seizes or takes away your space but freedom gives or restores space. Today is a day to seek space for yourself and your things; and for others and their things. Make it a day of prayer and intercessors. Make it a day of seeking, receiving, or giving help.

Day 2 is a second-chapters-of-the-Bible day. It is the season of help and helpers. The second chapters of the Bible reveal this. In Genesis 2, God helped man by giving work to exercise himself in, by giving him instructions that would preserve his life, and by giving him a suitable helper in a wife – the one that has what he does not have and will complete him. Women are great helpers in the second season. They are key players in the second seven books of the Bible, an in the second book and chapters of the Bible. In Acts 2, God sent the Helper (the Holy Spirit) to the church to empower her to be a living witness for Jesus.

Day 2 is a First Kings – to – Proverbs Day in the first week of the year. The second day of the week is the second day in the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the second 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the second 10 books of the Bible, God wanted the kings of Israel to trust Him and lead the nation in the same direction. Beginning with Solomon, the kings of Israel began to patronize Idols. Idol worship became official in the northern kingdom following the split. Judah followed. Prophets rose in this season to call the nation back to God. Eventually, the two kingdoms went into captivity – the north fell to Assyria; and the south to the Babylonians. The Jews did return from captivity after 70 years. The last two books in this section of the Bible (Psalms and Proverbs) show that loss of faith in God is prelude to the loss of all things in the second season; but faith in God is the secret of power and strength. The faithful will triumph in the second season by the power and wisdom of God no matter what happens.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, declare that your faith will not fail; and that the faithful will triumph. Decree the downfall of those who disregard God and trust in themselves or idols, Today, prophesy against evil controlling powers and overthrow them by the word of the Lord. Mercy makes a way where there is no way. Today is a day of divine intervention and mercy. Today, release the word of the Lord against oppressive mountains in your life and in your world. Raise a cry to God against the proud and wicked in the land. Today, trust God to make a way where there is no way. Today, position yourself to receive help from both God and men; and to be a helper. Happy second day of the year. Proclaim His word, Pray to Him. Praise Him!

Day 1: The Mystery of January 1

0

Welcome to the first day of the year. This is a very significant day in the year. It is also a very significant day in your life as far as the year is concerned. This day should be given to God as a sacrifice or offering of time. It is like the first fruit of your time in the year. God is First and the first is the Lord’s. This is plain wisdom. If you give the first to God, He blesses the rest. As it works with material substance, that is how it works with time. Proverbs 3:9-10 is also applicable to time. The first day of the week does not have to be a Sunday. Although Sunday is called the first day of the week, the year does not always begin on a Sunday. The first day of the week is different each year. It is determined by the day the year began. If the year begins on a Wednesday, the first day of the week for that year would be Wednesday. The first day of the first week of the year is a core first season day. It is first day of the first week; the first day of the first month; and the first day of the year.

The Bible patterns for understanding the first day of the year are 1) the first day of creation narrative; 2) the first book of the Bible; and 3) the first chapters of the books of the Bible.

The first day is a first-day-of-creation day.  On the first day of creation, light became manifest and visible reality. On that day, God manifested Himself as He called light into existence. God is light and there is no darkness in Him. This day is to be dedicated to the manifestation of light for direction. The first day of the week is for seeking God in worship, prayer, and the word. It is also releasing God into the world through righteousness and good works. It is a day to give God’s word to men. It is a day to initiate action against things that need change in the new year. It is a day to battle darkness; which causes confusion and stumbling.

The first day of the year is a first-chapter-of-the-Bible day. In the first chapter of Genesis, God created heaven, earth, and sea; and all that is in them. As in Genesis 1, every other first chapter of the Bible is God’s action time. As God dominated the first chapter of Genesis, that is how He ought to fill the first day of the year for you. The first day of the year is when He comes to create the year for you. Make the first day of the year a God-day. Do not spend it sending and receiving ‘Happy New Year’ messages. Spend it giving honor to the Giver of time and all things.

The first day of the year is a book-of-Genesis day. Genesis is the first book of the Bible; and a book of ‘firsts’ in the Bible. It tells about the beginning of Heaven, earth, and sea, and their hosts. It reveals the beginning of life, sin, death, marriage, births, languages, and nations. The first day of the year is the root and foundation of the year. The things that happen in the year are traceable to what happened on the first day of the year. Every year is shaped, spiritually, by what we do, or do not do, on the first day of the year. The best way to spend the first day of the year is to make it a day of giving attention to God. God spoke in the book of Genesis. He spoke to create. He also spoke to direct man but the first man and woman did not listen to Him. Abel, Seth, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, listened to God; and were blessed. The disasters that came upon men in the book of Genesis happened because men did not listen to God. Make this first day of the year a day of listening to God and a day of doing His will. Make it day of dedicating yourself to God for the rest of the year. Death came into the earth because man did not listen to God in the book of Genesis. Make today a day of life and not a day of deaths.

“A few years ago, a sociology professor named David Phillips examined 57 million death certificates issued between 1979 and 2004 and made an interesting finding: Not only do more people die in the winter months, but New Year’s Day is actually the deadliest day of all”. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/more-deaths-happen-on-new-years-day-than-any-other-in-the-year-but-as-a-result-of-illnesses-not-a6791586.html

Day 1 is the first day of the first month of the year. The first day of any month is significant and the first day of the first month is very significant. That was when the flood of Noah’s day dried up and Noah removed the covering of the ark (Genesis 8:13). That was when God told Moses to set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting (Exodus 40: 2, 17). That was when the Levites began to sanctify themselves in the days of Hezekiah (2 Chronicles 29: 17). Ezra began his journey from Babylon to Jerusalem on the first day of the first month (Ezra 7: 9). That was when they finished questioning those Jews who had taken pagan wives (Ezra 10:17). The word of the Lord came to Ezekiel in the first day of the first month (Ezekiel 26:1; 29:17). That was when God told Ezekiel the temple would be cleansed (Ezekiel 45:18). The first day of the first month is spiritual clean-up day. It is a day to start new life. It is a season to begin a journey into God’s will. It is a day of special service to God. God is first and the First belongs to Him. How will you honor the Lord today?

Day 1 is a Genesis – Second Samuel day in the week of the year. The first day of the week is the beginning of the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the first 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the first 10 books of the Bible, God revealed Himself as Creator and Caretaker. He chose those who aligned with His purpose for blessings; and reserved judgment for those who disregard Him. The first 10 books began with the creation and fall of the man in the image and likeness of God; and ended with the emergence of the man after God’s heart sitting on the throne of God’s choice nation. David was absolutely loyal to God. He gave himself for whatever God wanted. This is a day of aligning with God and becoming a man (woman) after His heart.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the collapse and end of expressions and manifestations of darkness in your life and world. Decree that expressions of light will triumph in this first day of the week. Today, make a quality decision to receive the word of the Lord and act on it without fear or doubts. Make a quality decision to walk in unconditional love. This is a day of sacrificial (tough) love. Today, take time to hear from God. Do not act without His direction. Follow what He says or shows. Today, seek the Lord against disasters in the week as you come into alignment. Call upon Him for mercy.!

So, as you stand at the gate of time, decree that this day would end on a positive note for you and people you know; and that the enemy would not deceive or take advantage of any. Decree that the first day of the year would be a day of life and not a day of death. Do not be carried away by the spirit of the celebration of the new year. Give Honor to God. Happy first day of the year! Happy New Year!

The Mystery of the 4th, 8th, and 22nd

0

The numbered positions – 4th, 8th, and 22nd, often speak of ‘the end’ and ‘new beginning’.

When a book of the Bible (or a numbered/dated season) ends with the 4th (or fourth seven), 8th (or eighth seven), or 22nd (or 22nd seven) chapter, that ‘end’ speaks of a new beginning.

Six books of the Bible that end at the fourth chapter are Ruth, Jonah, Malachi, Philippians, Colossians, Second Timothy.

Books of the Bible that end at the fourth seven: Leviticus (27), Second Samuel (24), First Kings (22), Second Kings (25), Revelation (22), Matthew (28), Luke (24), Acts (28).

Books of the Bible that end at the eighth chapter: Song of Songs

Books of the Bible that end at the eighth seven: Genesis (50), Jeremiah (52).

Books of the Bible that end at the 22nd chapter: First Kings, Revelation

Books of the Bible that end at the 22nd seven: Psalm (150).

The Mystery of the Last Week

0

Welcome to the most unique week of the year. December 30/31 should be the beginning of the 53rd week but it is not a full week in the Old Year. What is supposed to be the 53rd week of the year has only one day of the ending year (in a clear year) or two days (in a leap year). This week ends the Old Year and begins the New Year. I can hear the Voice of the Lord saying, in this week, “I am the Beginning and the End”.

The 53rd season is for conclusive declarations and operations. It is a Psalm 53 week. In Psalm 53, both ‘the fool’ and God made conclusive statements: The fool says “There is no God”; while God says, “There is none who does good; No, not one”. The 53rd is the end-season for those who have declared war against God. This is the season when those who say there is no God are called fools. Psalm 53:4-6 says, “Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon God? [5] There they are in great fear Where no fear was, For God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you; You have put them to shame, Because God has despised them. [6] Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When God brings back the captivity of His people, Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad”. In the 53rd season, God closes the chapter on the adversary; and opens a new page for Zion.

Week 53 is an Isaiah 53 week. Isaiah 53 was prophetic of what Jesus experienced on the cross. The Cross of Jesus Christ was both an end and a new beginning. The Old Man ended and the New Man began. In Isaiah 53, God gave His servant the treatment meant for transgressors. Isaiah 53 reveals how God deals with transgressors in the 53rd season. Jesus did not deserve what He suffered on the cross; but He suffered what sin, and the sinners He represented, deserved. Heaven is harsh with rebellion in the 53rd season. Isaiah 53 is the chastising and bruising of the Representative of Sinners.

The last week of the year is a Book of Second Thessalonians week. Second Thessalonians is the 53rd book of the Bible; and is about the judgment of the ungodly and the lawless one; “the son of perdition, [4] who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God…whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming” (2 Thessalonians 2: 3-4, 8). 1953 was the year that Joseph Stalin, the famous Russian Communist leader, died. It was also the year that Dwight D. Eisenhower was inaugurated the 34th President of the United States; and Queen Elizabeth II coronated. May this week truly mark the end of the old and the beginning of the new in your life and story. Happy ‘end of the old’! Happy New Year!!!

The Mystery of the 52nd Week

0

Welcome to the 52nd week of the year. The 52nd week is the last full week of the year. This is the week of Christmas. It is the week for commemorating the birth of our Savior and Redeemer. This week should remind you that God and His word will ALWAYS triumph – even in your case.

The 52nd week is a third-day-of-creation week. On the third day of creation, God gathered the waters under heaven in one place and caused the dry ground to appear. The third season is for the emancipation of ‘the dry ground’ from the dominion and tyranny of the sea. The third season is for the overthrow of dysfunctional platforms and the manifestation of new productive platforms. It is the season for the emergence of sustainers and sustenance. The third season is the season of the last battle. God fought the last battle against the waters on the third day of creation. It signifies the end of oppression and the beginning of breakthroughs. It signifies the end of oppression from the ungodly; and also the end of affliction for the godly. This 52nd week, the Lord will overthrow and contain ‘the waters’ again; and cause ‘the dry ground’ to appear and produce.

The 52nd week is a 52nd-chapters-of-the-Bible week

Psalm 52 tells us God will triumph over the mighty man who boasts in evil. The 52nd psalm is about the destruction of “the man who did not make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.” Psalm 52:1-7 says, ”Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man? The goodness of God endures continually. [2] Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. [3] You love evil more than good, Lying rather than speaking righteousness. Selah [4] You love all devouring words, You deceitful tongue. [5] God shall likewise destroy you forever; He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah [6] The righteous also shall see and fear, And shall laugh at him, saying, [7] “Here is the man who did not make God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness.”

Isaiah 52 declares the triumph of God in His redemption of Zion. Isaiah 52:9-10 says, “Break forth into joy, sing together, You waste places of Jerusalem! For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem. [10] The LORD has made bare His holy arm In the eyes of all the nations; And all the ends of the earth shall see The salvation of our God”. Isaiah 52 reveals that the 52nd week is when God says ‘Enough’ both to the wicked and to His suffering ones. Isaiah 52:1-10 says “Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion; Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For the uncircumcised and the unclean Shall no longer come to you. [2] Shake yourself from the dust, arise; Sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion! [3] For thus says the LORD: “You have sold yourselves for nothing, And you q cop noshall be redeemed without money.” [4] For thus says the Lord GOD: “My people went down at first Into Egypt to dwell there; Then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause. [5] Now therefore, what have I here,” says the LORD, “That My people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them Make them wail,” says the LORD, “And My name is blasphemed continually every day. [6] Therefore My people shall know My name; Therefore they shall know in that day That I am He who speaks: ‘Behold, it is I.'” [7] How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” [8] Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye When the LORD brings back Zion. [9] Break forth into joy, sing together, You waste places of Jerusalem! For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem. [10] The LORD has made bare His holy arm In the eyes of all the nations; And all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God”.

Jeremiah 52 is about the fall of Judah, the humiliation of King Zedekiah, the plundering and burning of the House of God, the carrying of the last captives to Babylon, and the release of king Jehoiachin from prison on the 25th day of the 12th month. Jeremiah 52 ends the book with a review of the fall of Jerusalem and Judah; to show that God’s Word is supreme.

The 52nd week is a book of First Thessalonians week. Paul’s first epistle to the Thessalonians is the 52nd book of the Bible. The 52nd book of the Bible is a celebration of victory and triumph for a church that should not have survived but did. It is a testimony that God’s word triumphs over persecution and hardship. Persecution drove Paul and his team out of Thessalonica but could not uproot the gospel or the church there. The Lord overthrew the plans of the evil one to establish this church. The book is also about hope and comfort in the midst of affliction and conflict. It is a book of exhortations for those who are concerned about, or mindful of, ‘the end’. It also speaks of vengeance from the Lord. The message of the 52nd is, “It is over! God has won”; or “God wins at the end”.

The 52nd week is Christmas week. Providence made Christmas Day part of the 52nd week to show us that the season is about the triumph of God’s word. Jesus was miraculously conceived, born, and preserved against all odds. Today, He is preached all over the world. If God made good His word concerning the virgin conception and birth of Jesus, the book of First Thessalonians wants us to know He will also make good His word concerning the coming of “His Son from heaven”. The once-Baby-Jesus is now the soon coming King! God’s word prevails in the 52nd season.

The 52nd week is a Ruth 3 week. The third chapter of the eighth book of the Bible is applicable to the third week in the eighth section (last 22 days) of the year. Ruth and Boaz got married in the third chapter of the book of Ruth. Redemption took place there. Boaz redeemed what belonged to Elimelech. Widowhood ended for Ruth in this chapter.

Week 52 is Ecclesiastes – Amos Week in the last 22/23 days of the year. The third ten books of the Bible are applicable to the third week in every 49 days. The third ten books of the Bible include ‘the Major Prophets’. They are prophets of ‘overthrow and establishment’. God called them out of obscurity to serve His global agenda. Week 52 is a season to move from obscurity to the limelight in the purpose of God.

The 52nd season is when the unexpected happens. The 52nd year of the 20th century (1952) was a good year for Republicans in the United States. The GOP returned to power after 20 years of Democrats’ leadership. Dwight D Eisenhower (Ike) became the 34th President of the United States. The same year, Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne following the death of her father, King George VI. She was never expected to become the Queen of England but the turn-around came in 1952. The 52nd season is a season of taking back control. It is a season of breakthroughs. This week, the unexpected will happen again; this time, in your favor. ‘The dominating waters’ will be moved away; and your ‘dry ground’ will appear as the new productive platform. This is Dry Ground’s Week! Happy 52nd week! Merry Christmas!!!

The Mystery of the 51st Week

0

Welcome to the 51st week of the year. This is the week of the Lord’s preeminence and vengeance. The 51st week is the second week in the last 22/23 days of the year. The key to understanding the 51st week are 1) the second day of creation narrative; 2) the 51st chapters of the Bible; 3) the 51st book of the Bible; 4) the second chapter of the eighth book of the Bible.

Week 51 is a second day of creation week. On the second day of creation, God made the firmament to break the monopoly of the waters over space. In the 51st week, God releases a firmament-type of help to break the power of your troubler and adversary. As a second season week, the 51st week is a week of help against oppressive monopolies and barriers. The 51st week is a week of help from above. This week, the Lord will dismantle space-blockers in your favor. He is the Voice you must listen to. He is ALWAYS the Preeminent One; but certain seasons, like this 51st week, are just about His preeminence. All men and strongholds are subject to Him. This week, He wields His power against forces to make a way where there is no way.

The 51st week is a 51st chapters of the Bible week.

Psalm 51: In Psalm 51, David humbly acknowledged his sin and failure; and prayed to the Lord for mercy, cleansing, and restoration. He had learnt that hiding or covering sin and lying about it does not help. He confessed it to God. O that we (great and small) may humble ourselves, today, before the Preeminent One; and acknowledge the truth. The blood of Jesus is our help from God against sin and iniquity. It is the cry for mercy that opens the door to, and makes room for, the Spirit of deliverance and vengeance to operate in favor of God’s people in the 51st season. With a broken and contrite heart,  the psalmist cried out in repentance for the restoration of peace, joy, and gladness.

Psalm 51:8 says, “Make me hear joy and gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice”.

Psalm 51:15-17 says, “O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise. [16] For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. [17] The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart- These, O God, You will not despise”.

Isaiah 51: In Isaiah 51, the Lord calls and draws attention to Himself as one who should be heard. He tells us to listen to Him; and gives reasons. The reason He calls us to listen is because He is announcing a change of story. Listening to God is the way to receive help from heaven in the 51st week.

Isaiah 51:1,4,7,21 says,

[1] Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, You who seek the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were hewn, And to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.

The Jews looked to God’s covenant with Abraham. Today, we look to the New Covenant in the blood of Jesus. He is the Rock from which we were hewn. He is the hole of the pit from which we were dug.

Why does God want you to listen? The third verse has the answer: Isaiah 51:3

says, “For the LORD will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the LORD; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody”.

[4] “Listen to Me, My people; And give ear to Me, O My nation: For law will proceed from Me, And I will make My justice rest As a light of the peoples.

Why does God call us to listen a second time? The answer is in the fifth and sixth verses: Isaiah 51:5-6 says, “My righteousness is near, My salvation has gone forth, And My arms will judge the peoples; The coastlands will wait upon Me, And on My arm they will trust. Lift up your eyes to the heavens, And look on the earth beneath. For the heavens will vanish away like smoke, The earth will grow old like a garment, And those who dwell in it will die in like manner; But My salvation will be forever, And My righteousness will not be abolished.”

[7] Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My law: Do not fear the reproach of men, Nor be afraid of their insults.

Why does He call us to listen for the third time? The answer is in the eleventh verse. Isaiah 51:11 says, “So the ransomed of the LORD shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; Sorrow and sighing shall flee away

[21] Therefore please hear this, you afflicted, And drunk but not with wine.

Why does God call us to listen for the fourth time? Verse 22 has the answer!  Isaiah 51:22 says, “Thus says your Lord, The LORD and your God, Who pleads the cause of His people: “See, I have taken out of your hand the cup of trembling, The dregs of the cup of My fury; You shall no longer drink it”.

Listening to God means shutting your ears to what anyone else is saying. This week, the Preeminent One wants you to listen to Him. It’s His Word that should matter to you. Listen to Him and not to men or your senses.

Here are four things Isaiah 51 reveals that God wants you to know about the 51st week:

1. The 51st week is a week of comfort.

2. The 51st week is for the release of God’s justice, righteousness, and salvation.

3. In the 51st week, sorrow and sighing shall flee away. It is a week of smiles.

4. The 51st week is for the termination of troubles.

Jeremiah 51: In Jeremiah 51, the Preeminent One decided that Babylon, the World Power, would go down and fall to the Medes; because of her sins. There is no World Power that can stand before the Preeminent One. The entire earth is His footstool. Jeremiah 51 is prophecy against Babylon leading to her destruction. God is enthroned as king over Babylon and all nations. The destruction of the oppressor makes way for the humble and oppressed. This is the week for the Lord to wield His Battle Axe against His foes. The 51st week is for the fall and destruction of the proud oppressor. The 51st week is a week of vengeance. Jeremiah 51:56 says, “…For the LORD is the God of recompense, He will surely repay”. This week, His word has gone forth against the wicked and proud. It’s time to sink ‘Babylon’ – wherever it’s found. This is a week when men must humble themselves before the Preeminent One or be humiliated.

This week, the Lord will show Himself greater than the great; mightier than the mighty; stronger than the strong, and wiser than the wise. This is a week of mega-battle. The Lord is out against evil and proud monopolies. The code-name for the battle of this week is ‘Operation Sink Babylon’. As Jeremiah sank Babylon by the word of the Lord iand with a millstone cast into Euphrates, that is how mighty forces will sink this 51st week by the Word revealed in the 51st book and chapters of the Bible. When the Medes sacked Babylon, they merely reaped the harvest of the prophetic seeds Jeremiah had planted. This is a week of triumphing over ‘principalities and powers’.

The 51st week is a Ruth-chapter-two week. The second chapter of the eighth book of the Bible is applicable to the second week in the eighth division (last three weeks) of the year. In this section of the book, Ruth went out and came to the field of Boaz. She worked there on that day and got something for herself and her mother in-law. Boaz was the rod of God against the forces of famine, hunger, and death, oppressing Ruth. Boaz did not only favor Ruth, but also instructed her: “Then Boaz said to Ruth, “You will listen, my daughter, will you not? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, but stay close by my young women. [9] Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn.” (Ruth 2:8-9).When she returned to her mother in-law and told her experiences, she also instructed her on the way forward. “And Naomi said to Ruth her daughter-in-law, “It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his young women, and that people do not meet you in any other field.” [23] So she stayed close by the young women of Boaz, to glean until the end of barley harvest and wheat harvest; and she dwelt with her mother-in-law” (Ruth 2:22-23).

The 51st week of the year is a book of Colossians week. The Book of Colossians is the 51st book of the Bible; and is a call to focus on Christ, the Preeminent One – Who had qualified us before God; Who delivered us, redeemed us, made us alive, and forgave our sins; Who fought and disarmed and disgraced principalities, publicly, our behalf. Because of who and what Christ is, and what we have in Him, we are not to pay attention to contrary words. He is all we need and has all we need. Instead we are to live our lives to glorify Him.  Read what the book of Colossians says about Jesus Christ in Colossians 1:15-18: “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. [16] For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. [17] And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. [18] And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence”.

The 51st book of the Bible is a revelation of what Jesus had done for us by His death. He fought and defeated principalities and powers for us. Today, when we win battles against principalities and powers, we are merely standing on the victory Christ secured for us by His death. As Jeremiah sacked Babylon before the coming of the Medes, that was how Christ Jesus triumphed over principalities and powers for our benefit. This 51st week is a time to focus on the Mighty One who had fought our battles and defeated the enemy for us.

People born in this week are deep thinkers. They treasure knowledge. They love to ‘know’ the ‘secret’ of things. They are big-picture people in the pursuit of knowledge  – ascending the heights, and descending the depths, of thoughts. They are book-of-Colossians people. Their chief enemies are ignorance, untruth, and deception. They have a lot working for them than they are aware of. They are the Lord’s Battle Axe; and should not run, or shy away, from battles.

Week 51 is a First Kings – to – Proverbs week in the last 3 weeks of the year.

DECREE AND DECLARE : God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. Proclaim His word, Pray to Him. Praise Him.!

This week, fix your eyes on the Preeminent One. Fix your attention on where you came from; not on the things coming against you. Your root is your Strength. Your power is in your foundation. You are in Him who is the Head of all principality and power.. He dwells in you! You are a winner through Him. Happy 51st week!

The Mystery of the 50th Week

0

Welcome to the 50th week of the year! The 50th week is the beginning of the last 22 days of the year (or 23 days for leap year). It is a new beginning in the year following the end of the seventh 49 days. It is the beginning of what should have been the eighth 49 days of the year. God instructed Moses and Israel to declare the 50th year a Jubilee. The 50th book and chapters of the Bible attest to this. The Bible patterns for the 50th week are 1) the first day of creation narrative; 2) the 50th book of the Bible; and 3) the 50th chapters of the Bible; 4) the first chapter of the eight book of the Bible.

Week 50 is a first-day-of-creation week. It is the first of the remaining three weeks of the year. God is First and the first belongs to God. He created light on the first day. He also created time – day and night – on the first day. The 50th week is therefore a week of war between light and darkness. It is a season of light’s triumph over darkness. It is a week of light; not a week of darkness. It is a week of a new beginning. It is the end of the tyranny of darkness. The 50th week belongs to the Beginning and Beginner of all things.

Week 50 is a 50th-chapters-of-the-Bible week:  In Genesis 50, Joseph mourned and buried his father. The death of Joseph and instructions concerning his burial is also recorded in this chapter. If the fiftieth season is about rejoicing and praising God, why is this chapter about death, weeping, embalming, mourning, coffin, and burying? Remember it is the end of the first book of the Bible. It ends with death because man rejected the good plan of God. The message of the book of Genesis is that God gave life to man and showed him the way of life but man chose to go the way that ends in death. Man disobeyed God unto death. Genesis 50 is also a revelation of the one who obeyed God and served his generation unto death. Joseph was a type of Christ in Genesis 50. He died in hope of divine visitation and resurrection.

The 23-verse Psalm 50 reveals that the 50th season is the time of God’s outshining to rebuke darkness and judge wickedness. Psalm 50:1-4 says, “The Mighty One, God the LORD, Has spoken and called the earth From the rising of the sun to its going down. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God will shine forth. Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent; A fire shall devour before Him, And it shall be very tempestuous all around Him. He shall call to the heavens from above, And to the earth, that He may judge His people”. In this chapter, God reveals He is Self-sufficient and does not need anything from man. Psalm 50:7-15 says, “Hear, O My people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you; I am God, your God! I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices Or your burnt offerings, Which are continually before Me. I will not take a bull from your house, Nor goats out of your folds. For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are Mine. “If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats? Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay your vows to the Most High. Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”

The 50th week is for thanksgiving, praising God, redeeming vows, and for calling upon God. It is for celebrating the Creator, Owner, Sustainer, and Sovereign Ruler, of the Universe.

Isaiah 50 is God’s reply to complainers among His people who blame God for their problems. He tells them to look inwards and take responsibility for their troubles. Isaiah 50:1-3 says, “Thus says the LORD: “Where is the certificate of your mother’s divorce, Whom I have put away? Or which of My creditors is it to whom I have sold you? For your iniquities you have sold yourselves, And for your transgressions your mother has been put away. Why, when I came, was there no man? Why, when I called, was there none to answer? Is My hand shortened at all that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Indeed with My rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness; Their fish stink because there is no water, And die of thirst. I clothe the heavens with blackness, And I make sackcloth their covering.”

After listening to God, the complainer changed and said in the fourth verse “The Lord has given me the tongue of the learned”; in the fifth verse, “The Lord has opened my ears”; in the seventh verse, “…The Lord God will help me”; and in the ninth verse, he repeats, “Surely, the Lord will help me”. Complaining is the wrong road in this 50th week of the year.

In both Psalm 50 and Isaiah 50, God shows Himself as the powerful, dependable, All-Sufficient Helper. That is why our rejoicing must be in Him.

Jeremiah 50 is prophecy of God’s judgment against Babylon. What does judgment have to do with jubilee? The downfall of the wicked causes rejoicing and jubilation. Proverbs 11:10 says, “When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; And when the wicked perish, there is jubilation” Week 50 is a week o divine retribution. It is a season of the recompense of justice for those who reject the covering of grace.

Week 50 is a Ruth-chapter-one week for the rebellious. The first chapter of the eighth book of the Bible is applicable to the first week in the remaining 22 days (8th section) of the year. In the first chapter of Ruth, death overtook Elimelech’s family. The man and his two sons died in a foreign land they had gone to sojourn. Naomi and her daughters in-law were filled with sorrow for the loss of their husbands. The plan of the evil one for the 50th week is sorrowing and mourning. Ruth and her mother in-law chose to make a new beginning by returning to Bethlehem-Judah. What was meant to hurt Ruth turned around into a testimony. The 50th week is a turnaround week!

Week 50 is a book-of-Philippians week. The 50th book of the Bible is Paul’s epistle to the Philippians. This is not a book of great revelation or doctrines but an epistle on the right attitude to life in different situations. The theme of this epistle is JOY. The book calls the reader to rejoice in the Lord always. The word ‘joy’ is used about four times. The word ‘glad’ or ‘gladness’ is used about three times. The word ‘rejoice’ is used about 11 times. The word ‘thank’ or ‘thanksgiving’ is used two times. The word ‘sorrow’ or ‘sorrowful’ is used thrice. The rejoicing, gladness, and thanksgiving, of the season is because of the accomplished or anticipated triumphs in the season. The 50th season is not a season of sorrowing, complaining, strife, quarreling, worrying, or of losses – although that is what the adversary wants to make it. Joy keeps the enemy away. The joy of the Lord is our strength.

This week is for joy and rejoicing. In the 50th book of the Bible (Philippians), Paul took a stand against complaining, worrying, strife, quarreling. Rather, he called God’s people to rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS . Joy works miracles! Paul’s material needs were fully met in this book, Epaphroditus (Paul’s associate) who was sick to the point of death also recovered; and things that happened to him, to hurt him, advanced the gospel. Remember it was at Philippi that Paul and Silas sang praises and released earthquake on the jailhouse. As life swallows up death, and light drives darkness away, that is how joy shuts the door against mourning and sorrowing. Joy brings joyful testimonies. Try it this 50th week. What is revealed about joy in the 50th book of the Bible is, perhaps, related to what God in Leviticus 25:10-14 about ‘jubilee’: “And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family. [11] That fiftieth year shall be a Jubilee to you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of its own accord, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine. [12] For it is the Jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat its produce from the field. [13] ‘In this Year of Jubilee, each of you shall return to his possession. [14] And if you sell anything to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor’s hand, you shall not oppress one another.

The 50th book of the Bible reveals, also, that the 50th week is a season to mock death. It is a season to honor God in spite of death. This week, don’t let the fear of death stop you. Philippians 2:8 says Jesus became obedient to the point of death. Philippians 2:30 says that Epaphroditus, “because for the work of Christ he came close to death, not regarding his life”. In Philippians 1:20-23, Paul said, “… Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. [22] But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. [23] For c I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.” In Philippians 3:7-11, said, “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. [8] Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ [9] and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; [10] that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, [11] if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. In Philippians 3: 20-21, he wrote, “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, [21] who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

I enjoyed reading the 50th chapter of Genesis and comparing it with the 50th book of the Bible. The sync is amazing. My conclusion is that the arrangement and placement of Bible narratives, books, and chapters is nothing short of Divine Inspiration.

1. In the 50th chapter of Genesis, Joseph and his brothers mourned and buried their father. The account of Joseph’s death and embalmment is also recorded in this chapter. This chapter is about death, burial, sorrowing and mourning. In the 50th book of the Bible, Philippians, Epaphroditus was sick and came close to death but God spared his life and kept sorrowing away from Paul and his companions. This 50th week, you will not sorrow or mourn. It is a week of triumph over death.

2. In the 50th chapter of Genesis, after Jacob had been buried, Joseph’s brothers were anxious and afraid that Joseph would pay them back for the evil they did to him. They met him and asked to be forgiven. He spoke kindly to them and allayed their fears and worries, In the 50th book of the Bible, Paul said, in 4:6, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God…”. This 50th week, don’t fear; don’t worry; just pray, give thanks, and enjoy the incomprehensible peace of God. Instead of thoughts of fear, Paul said in 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things”.

3. In the 50th chapter of Genesis, Joseph told his brothers that though they meant evil against him, God turned it to good – to save lives. In the 50th book of the Bible, Paul said, in chapter one verse 12, “But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel”. This 50th week, God will make all things work out good for you and for His name.

4. In the 50th chapter of Genesis, Joseph assured his brothers he would provide for them and their little ones. In the 50th book of the Bible, Paul said, in 4:19, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”. This 50th week, God will provide adequately for you.

5. In the 50th chapter of Genesis, Joseph told his brothers that God would surely visit them and take them back to the land He promised their fathers. In the 50th book of the Bible, Paul told the Philippians that God who began the good work in them would perfect it. This 50th week, the Lord will show Himself a Finisher and Perfecter of what He started in your life.

6. In Genesis 50, Joseph told his brothers to keep their eyes on returning to the Promised Land. In the 50th book of the Bible, Paul speaks of giving up everything for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ; forgetting the things that are behind and pressing towards the mark of the high calling in Christ; and looking forward to the coming of our Savior to transform our lowly mortal body to be like His glorious immortal body. This week, do not settle for anything short of hitting the target. What matters in the 50th season is finishing and hitting the target. It is not a time to settle but a time to keep advancing.

7. In the 50th chapter of Genesis, Joseph’s brothers bowed to him to seek his favor. Pharaoh had exalted him highly, made him second in command in Egypt, and commanded all to bow the knee to him . In the 50th book of the Bible, Jesus is highly exalted and bears the name that is above all other names. At His name, every knee should bows and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. This week, knees will bow to the Christ in you.

People born in the 50th week are supposed to be very confident and hopeful people with positive mindset. They ought to be fearless people. They are born to mock death through obedience to God. They are not to be mocked by death; because God is their strength, confidence, and sufficiency.

This week is for life – not for death. Shut out worrying, complaining, quarreling, and strife. Be released from depression! Let your heart overflow with joy because of the sufficiency you have in in God, our Father. This 50th week of the year shall be for you a book of Philippians week. It’s a new beginning. Enjoy the Jubilee! Happy 50th week!!!

This week in 1937:

The horrific event known as Nanjing Rape or Nanjing Massacre which started December 13, 1937 and lasted six weeks happened. More than 20,000 women including children and the aged were brutally raped during the Japanese occupation of Nanjing city. They butchered an estimated 150,000 male “war prisoners,” and massacred more than 50,000 male civilians.
