Prophetic Significance of the Hebraic Year 5783:

0

In 2012, when the Lord began to lead me into understanding times and seasons from the Bible, I was studying the book of Psalms. The 119th Psalm caught my attention because of its unique features and I spent 22 days meditating on the 22 sections of this psalm. I was so blessed by the exercise. I asked the Lord why this Psalm, dedicated to the word of God, has 22 sections after the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. I also asked the Lord if there is a relationship between His Word and the number 22. That was when light came. He opened my eyes and I became a new student of the Word and of times and seasons. The things I learnt from Psalm 119 in 2012 became revolutionary in 2022 when I applied them to Israel’s new season beginning with year 5783. That is the reason I am sharing these insights on the prophetic significance of the Hebraic year 5783. I hope it blesses you as it blessed me.

What is the significance of the year 5783?

God began the creation of time with evening and morning as day and with seven days as week. In the book of Daniel, He represented years in weeks when He spoke to Daniel about 70 weeks of years. When God spoke to Daniel about 70 weeks, He meant 490 years. So, a prophetic week is seven years and a prophetic week of weeks is 49 years. Seven prophetic week of weeks (or 49 prophetic weeks) is 343 (7x7x7) years. The year 5783 is the beginning of a new prophetic week of weeks.

Israel’s time and the Biblical interpretation of it is key to understanding events happening in the world. The Hebrew Calendar is currently in the 17th cycle of three hundred and forty-three (343) years. Since 1728 (when the 17th three hundred and forty-three years began) Israel has experienced six 49-year seasons: the 113th forty-nine years (1728-1777), the 114th forty-nine years (1777- 1826), the 115th forty-nine years (1826- 1875), the 116th forty-nine years (1875- 1924), the 117th forty-nine years (1924- 1973) and the 118th forty-nine years (1973- 2022). This is a total of 294 years.

BIBLICAL PATTERNS FOR ISRAEL’S CURRENT SEASON

There are three Biblical keys to understanding the 17th three hundred and forty-three of the Jews. They are the 17th book of the Bible (Esther), the 17th chapters of the Bible and the 17th seven Psalms (113-119).

THE 17TH CHAPTERS OF THE BIBLE

The 17th chapters of the Bible indicate that the seventeenth 343 years of the Jews is a season of revival and triumph over death and dryness. In the 17th season, life surges from least expected places. In Genesis 17, Abraham and Sarah experienced change at 99 and 90 years respectively. In Exodus 17, Israel drank water from a dry rock after Moses struck it by the word of the Lord. In Numbers 17, Aaron’s dry rod budded and bore ripe fruits overnight. David killed Goliath in First Samuel 17. The first record of raising the dead in the Bible is in First Kings 17 at the house of the Widow of Zarephath, whose last meal did not run out. Jesus was transfigured in Matthew 17 and Peter fetched tribute money from the mouth of a fish. in the same chapter. The book of Esther is about triumphs over death and hopelessness. This is like how scattered Israel became a nation within this 343-year season.

PATTERNS IN THE BOOK OF ESTHER AND THE PSALMS

This seventeenth 343 years that began 1728 is  a Book of Esther season. Esther is the 17th book of the Bible. Israel and the world, have already experienced, prophetically, a large portion of the 17th book of the Bible. We’re in the last chapter of the book at this time. This season is also a Psalm 113-119 season. Those are the 17th seven psalms. Six of those Psalms (113-118) have passed over her. Since 1728, Israel and the world have been journeying prophetically from Psalm 113 and have just entered Psalm 119. The Hebrew year 5783 is the beginning of a new 49 year season – the 119th! It is a 49-year Sabbath season. It is the seventh and last 49-year season in the 17th three hundred and forty-three (343) years of Israel’s history.

The first 49 years of this season (1728-1777) was an Esther 1-2 season. That was when Vashti was rejected and Esther was found. Those who wanted the king dead were executed here. The Declaration of Independence of the United States came at the close of this 49-year season (1776). That was the founding of the then Esther-nation that will do what pleases the King. This 49-year season was also a Psalm 113 season. Psalm 113:3,7-9 says, [3] From the rising of the sun to its going down The LORD’s name is to be praised. [7] He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap, [8] That He may seat him with princes- With the princes of His people. [9] He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD!

The second 49 years of this season (1777-1826) was an Esther 3-4 season. The king promoted Haman in Esther 3. Haman clashed with Mordecai and the plan to exterminate Jews in the kingdom was established. Esther took the challenge. This second 49-year season was the time of the American Revolution and the French Revolution. It was a season war for total freedom. America’s last war of independence was fought in this season (1812-1814). This was a Psalm 114 season. This psalm is a reflection of Israel’s freedom from Egyptian bondage.ewdfn?

The third 49 years of this season (1826-1875) was an Esther 5-6 season. Esther obtained favor from the king against the law of the land. Mordecai was honored and Haman humiliated in the 6th chapter. Within this third 49 years was when President Lincoln gave the Emancipation Proclamation that gave freedom to slaves in America. The American Civil War happened in this season. Slaves were freed and their arrogant slave masters were humiliated. This season was also a Psalm 115 season. This psalm is about the trustworthiness of God and the futility of trusting in idols. Psalm 115:9-11 says, “O Israel, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. [10] O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. [11] You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield”.

The fourth 49 years (1875-1924) was an Esther 7 season. Esther reported Haman’s plot to the king and the king was provoked. Haman was hanged. This fourth 49 years ended with the First World War that saw the collapse of mighty anti-Semitic empires. The Soviet Union was born in this season. This 49-year season was a Psalm 116 season. Psalm 116 is a testimony of deliverance from death.

The fifth 49 years of this season (1924-1973) was an Esther chapter 8 season. Although Haman had died, the law to destroy the Jews was still in force and needed to be revoked.  The king told the Esther and Mordecai to write a new law to supersede the Haman-law. Although the First World War had ended and great empires had fallen, anti-Semitism was still alive. Adolf Hitler rose in this season; then the Second World War, the Holocaust the defeat of the Axis Powers, the fall of Hitler and the establishment of the Nation of Israel. In this season, God’s people went through the 117th forty-nine years of her history and expressed the two-verse Psalm 117 that says, “Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples! [2] For His merciful kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!” God’s people survived anti-Semitism of the season, the Holocaust, and became a nation again and executed the triumphant six-day war. It was a season of praising God for His merciful kindness toward the seed of Jacob. Israel lived in the season of the shortest Psalm and, prophetically, did not have much words to speak except to praise God for survival. The enemy had planned to destroy her completely but God preserved her.

The sixth 49 years of this season (1973-2022) was an Esther 9 season. The plot of Haman against the Jews was to be executed in Esther 9. The opposite occurred.  The Jews defended themselves and overpowered their enemies. Purim was established. At the beginning of this sixth 49 years, October 1973, the Yom-Kippur War broke out. Arab states, led by Egypt and Syria attacked Israel. In this season, Israel went through the 118th forty-nine years of her history and expressed the 29-verse Psalm 118. It opens and closes with a call to give thanks to God. Psalm 118:1,29 says, “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. [29] Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” Within the 118th forty-nine years that opened with the Yom Kippur War (October 1973), the nation experienced hatred, opposition and resistance but lived confidently. Psalm 118: 8-18 says, “It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man. [9] It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in princes. [10] All nations surrounded me, But in the name of the LORD I will destroy them. [11] They surrounded me, Yes, they surrounded me; But in the name of the LORD I will destroy them. [12] They surrounded me like bees; They were quenched like a fire of thorns; For in the name of the LORD I will destroy them. [13] You pushed me violently, that I might fall, But the LORD helped me. [14] The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation. [15] The voice of rejoicing and salvation Is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of the LORD does valiantly. [16] The right hand of the LORD is exalted; The right hand of the LORD does valiantly. [17] I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD. [18] The LORD has chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death”.

Pray that Israel’s confidence will truly be in God.

The seventh and last 49 years (2022-2071) of the current 343-year season is an Esther 10 season. The last chapter of the book of Esther is the shortest in the book. It has only three verses and is just about King Ahasuerus and his deputy, Mordecai. Esther 10:1-3 says, “And King Ahasuerus imposed tribute on the land and on the islands of the sea. [2] Now all the acts of his power and his might, and the account of the greatness of Mordecai, to which the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia? [3] For Mordecai the Jew was second to King Ahasuerus, and was great among the Jews and well received by the multitude of his brethren, seeking the good of his people and speaking peace to all his countrymen”. This is not a bad ending at all.

APPLICATIONS FROM PSALM 119 AND ESTHER 10

1. Psalm 119 is the longest psalm and the longest chapter of the Bible. As Israel and the nations expressed the shortest Psalm (117) between 1924 and 1973, she would be expressing the longest Psalm from 2022 – 2071! When Israel expressed the shortest psalm was the season the enemy wanted to exterminate her in the 20th century. In this season of the longest psalm, she will experience population explosion. More and more Aliyah is expected to happen in this season.

2. Psalm 119 is the longest communion-prayer in the Bible. Here, you have 173 verses of unbroken communion with God! This is a season to give attention to prayer and communion with God for Israel and the nations. The situation in the world will drive many to seek God and commune with Him. The top three prayers in Psalm 119 are “Teach me” (10 times); “Give me understanding” (5 times) and “Revive me” (9 times). Prayer will be a live-wire in this season. It is a time to pray for, and seek, understanding of God’s word and revival.

3. Psalm 119 is about the perfect, seven-dimensional, word of God. In this psalm, it is called law (25 times), commandments (22 times), precepts (21 times), statutes (22 times), testimonies (22 times), Word (42 times), judgments (17 times) and ordinances (2 times). Holding on to the word is the way to peace and rest in this season. This is a time press into the covenant and the fulfillment of promises. Of the 23 times the phrase, “according to your word “, is used in the entire Bible (NKJV), 12 is in Psalm 119. Psalm 119 is a psalm of communion with God about the perfection and sufficiency of God’s word and the psalmist’s confidence in, and commitment to, the Word. He tells God how he delights and trusts in the Word, how he hopes in it, how it has helped him, how he longs for it, and expects it to be fulfilled in his life. Psalm 119 is a dedicated chapter of the Bible. It is dedicated to the Word of God in all its forms. This 49-year season is a time to bring God’s word back to Him. This is a season to give all attention to the Word. It is a time to hunger for, and get immersed in, the Word of God. In this season, circumstances in the world will drive people to God’s Word. Psalm 119:1-6 says, “Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the LORD! [2] Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! [3] They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. [4] You have commanded us To keep Your precepts diligently. [5] Oh, that my ways were directed To keep Your statutes! [6] Then I would not be ashamed, When I look into all Your commandments”.

4. Psalm 119 has 22 sections of 8 verses each. Each section has a Hebrew letter for a title. The Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters. Psalm 119 teaches that God’s word runs from the beginning to the end as in A-Z (or Aleph – Tav). The 22 divisions of this dedicated psalm expresses the comprehensiveness of the word of God. This is a season of fullness (the complete package) for Israel and the nations. This is a time of the outpouring of fullness – a visitation of fullness. It is a time to swim in the river of the alephtav of the Word. This is the season of the One who is the Beginning and the End. This is a time to awaken to the completeness and sufficiency of the Word.

5. Psalm 119 is the seventh and last Psalm of the 17th seven psalms. This 49-year season is the Lord’s Sabbath in the broader 343-year season. It is a 49-year Sabbath season. It is a season of rest in the plan of God but the kingdom of darkness will want it to be a season of distress. The rest of the Sabbath is imposed rest. It is rest that comes with intervention. The seventh book and seventh chapters of the Bible are about interventions or the absence of it. Jesus intervened in the lives of people on the Sabbath to usher them into rest from troubles and affliction. The Jews of His day did not understand His ‘violation’ of the Sabbath. Without intervention, there will be no rest in this season. As we pray, this will be a season of salvation, deliverance, and diverse interventions for Israel and the nations. The pursuit of God’s pleasure is paramount in this season because it is the Lord’s Sabbath. Isaiah 58 holds a promise that is applicable to this season. Isaiah 58:13-14 says, “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the LORD honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words, [14] Then you shall delight yourself in the LORD; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

6. This is the season of Ahasuerus type leaders. The 119th forty-nine years of Israel is an Esther 10 season. It is the last part of the 343-year Book-of-Esther season. Esther 10 reveals two kinds of leaders that will rise in this season. The first is the Ahasuerus type. Esther 10:1 says, “And King Ahasuerus imposed tribute on the land and on the islands of the sea. [2] Now all the acts of his power and his might, and the account of the greatness of Mordecai, to which the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia? The passage speaks about how Ahasuerus imposed tribute on the land and the islands of the sea and about the acts of his power and might. What does King Ahasuerus signify? He is a type of leadership focusing on conquests and control. The highlight is on the acts of his power and might. It’s about the lands under his control and what he gets from them. This is a season when some leaders will show their power and might by seeking to dominate others. It’s already manifesting. God, in His wisdom, will use such powers to make room for leaders who will do His will and advance His Kingdom as He used Ahasuerus to advance Mordecai. It is time to watch and pray. It is time to reset things in the nations.

7. In this 119th forty-nine years of Israel, the Lord is going raise Mordecai-type leaders and governments. Esther 10 speaks of Mordecai’s greatness and his commitment to his people. Mordecai signifies servant-leadership. Esther 10:3 tells us five things about Mordecai: He was second to King Ahasuerus. He was great among the Jews.  He was well received by the multitude of his brethren. He sought the good of his people. He spoke peace to all his countrymen. The world needs Mordecai-type leaders. May the Lord raise such leaders for Israel and in the nations in this season – leaders who will use their position and power for the good the of the people and for the glory of God.

WE ARE IN THE FIRST SEVEN YEARS

The first seven years of Israel’s 119th 49 years corresponds to the fourth seven years of the 21st century (2022 – 2028). The difference is just about nine months. The fourth 7 years of this century expresses the fourth seven books of the Bible – Song of songs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and Hosea. The spirit of imperialism is rising. Nations will rise to swallow others is this season. There will be forced relocations that will eventually cause  the rising of leaders in the order of Daniel, Nehemiah, Mordecai,  Esther and Nehemiah in the nations. It is time for prophets who speak the Word of the Lord to run and overtake kings and nations as Elijah overtook Ahab’s chariot in First Kings 18. Kings will sit on the thrones but the prophets of God will rule. Amen!

Happy Psalm 119 season to Israel and the nations

PRAYING INTO THE 41ST WEEK OF THE YEAR (OCTOBER 8-14)

0

The 41st week is the sixth week in the sixth 7 weeks of the year – the sixth of the sixh! Every week of the year is a gate of time for some purpose – divine or diabolical. Certain divine purposes are ordained for this week but there are also evil purposes waiting to crash into the gate of this week. That is the reason spiritual gatekeepers must be informed and vigilant. Let us pray for God’s will to prevail in the nations this week.

What does the Bible reveal about the 41st season?

A. IT IS A SEASON TO UNCOVER AND PARALYZE SATANIC PLOTS

This is a week of exposing and neutralizing demonic plots and traps. In Genesis 41, God exposed the evil plot to deceive the world with abundance and later destroy her with scarcity. This is a week of triumphing over demons and agents of demons. The first miracle Jesus performed in the 41st book of the Bible was casting out a demon; and in the closing chaptjger, He said those who believe in Him will cast out demons. The 41st book says more about casting ou can we t demons than any other book of the New Testament. Demons should tremble and have no room around sensitive children of God. This is a bad week for those, like the enchanters of Egypt, who get their power through demons.

B. IT IS A SEASON TO MANIFEST HIDDEN PROBLEM-SOLVERS IN THE LAND.

This is a week to manifest hidden and obscure people with answers. This is the week of those who CAN. The 41st season is a season of tough challenges that promote those who deliver answers. It is a season of “Can you do it?” In Genesis 41, Joseph was taken in to interpret Pharaoh’s dream which the astrologers could not. Joseph solved the problem of Pharaoh by the wisdom of God; and was promoted. Failure in the world causes the manifestation of God’s hidden people.

Job 41 reveals that leviathan-size challenges, that require the wisdom and power of God to tackle, show up in 41st seasons. In Job 41, God asked Job if he can handle the leviathan.

In the 41st book of the Bible, Jesus took on the challenge of the hour; operated as one having authority; doing what the Pharisees and scribes could not do – teaching, casting out demons and healing the sick. Mark’s gospel is a book of ‘can’ and ‘cannot’. In the first chapter, a leper said to Jesus, “You can make me clean”. In the fifth chapter, the woman with the issue of blood said, “If I can touch…I shall be made whole”. In the same chapter, Jesus delivered a demon-possessed man that could not be bound or tamed with fetters. In the ninth chapter, a man whose son was demon-possessed said to Jesus, “If you can do something, please, help me”. In the same chapter, Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible….” The 41st season is a time to stand up to great challenges.

C. IT IS A SEASON OF GOOD NEWS THAT ENDS A WAITING SEASON

To be in the 41st week of the year means you have crossed the wilderness of the year. It is time to enter and possess the Promised Land of the year. The major things that needs to happen for other things to happen has happened! The seeds had been planted and nurtured. It’s harvest time. God used the previous weeks of the year to prepare you for this week and the others ahead. The trials of Joseph ended in Genesis 40. In Genesis 41, Joseph left the prison, appeared before Pharaoh, interpreted his dream, was promoted, given a wife, had two sons, and had all Egypt come to him for food. That’s so much happening ‘in one place’. This week may begin with a challenge but it’s loaded with good news. Isaiah 41:27 says, “…And I will give to Jerusalem one who brings good tidings”. The 41st book of the Bible opens with “the beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God”. This 41st week is a week of good news. The results will come in rapid succession. The 41st book of the Bible is a book of rapid results and ‘immediate effect’. In the entire New Testament, the word ‘immediately’ is used in 101 verses; but in Mark alone, it is used in 36 verses. That is about than 36%.

D. IT IS A SEASON OF BLESSINGS THROUGH COMPASSION

The 41st season is a time needs and supplies. In Genesis 41, Joseph met needs. Famine was sore in the land and Joseph met the needs of the people. Psalm 41:1-3 says, “Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. [2] The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. [3] The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed”. In Isaiah 41:17-20, the Lord says, “The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. [18] I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water. [19] I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the acacia tree, The myrtle and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the cypress tree and the pine And the box tree together, [20] That they may see and know, And consider and understand together, That the hand of the LORD has done this, And the Holy One of Israel has created it”. Jesus met needs in the book of Mark – the 41st book of the Bible. This week, God is looking for compassionate and humble problem – solvers.

E. IT IS A SEASON TO WATCH AND PREPARE AGAINST ENEMY ATTACKS

The 41st season is a time of war and crisis that begins with surprise attacks. Insurgents attacked and murdered Gedaliah the governor of Judah in Jeremiah 41. In 1941, Germany attacked the Balkans and Russia. The same year was when the United States entered the Second World War following Japanese bombing of Peal Harbor. The 41st President of the United States, George H. W. Bush ordered the 1990-1991 Gulf War against Iraq for invading oil-rich Kuwait. In 2001, the 41st year of Nigeria, a two-week riot broke out in Jos over the appointment of a Muslim as local Coordinator of a Poverty Alleviation Program. Riots killed people that poverty couldn’t kill.

F. IT IS A SEASON OF VICTORY THROUGH THE INSTRUCTIONS OF WISDOM

It was the instruction of wisdom from Joseph that saved Egypt and other nations from a severe 7-year famine. Trust God for exceptional wisdom this week. The 41st season is a time to exalt faith in God above reasoning. It is a season of operating with divine wisdom. It is a week to wage war with divine counsel.

PRAYER POINTS FOR THE 41ST WEEK

1. Pray that as the 41st book of the Bible opened with “the beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ”, this 41st week will be the beginning of a good news in this year.

2. Pray this week that governments in the nations be set free from evil spirits and their human hosts causing problems.

3. Pray that as the magicians, astrologers, and wisemen of Egypt could not interpret the dream of Pharaoh in Genesis 41, let the mouths of the ‘political magicians’ in the nations be shamed and sealed. Pray that the weakness of fake political machinery in the nations be exposed this week.

4. Pray that as Joseph came out of the prison in Genesis 41, and as Johanan delivered the captives of Ishmael in Jeremiah 41, as Jesus delivered those possessed by demons in 41st book of the Bible, let this 41st week be a week of opening prison doors and releasing captives in the nations physically and spiritually. Pray for the release of nations from globalist abductors. Pray for the release of God’s people who are held unjustly for their faith in prisons around the world.

5. Pray that the Lord will unveil humble problem-solvers whose voices had been silenced and sidelined by wicked and evil men.as He unveiled Joseph in the Genesis 41.

6. Pray for grace and wisdom to successfully tackle challenges and problems that will come your way this week. Pray that God will pass through you to meet needs this week.

7. Pray for sensitivity of spirit and discernment to block possible satanic attacks this week.

SCRIPTURE FOR THE WEEK

Isaiah 41:18-20: “I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water.

God will move ‘impossible mountains’ this week.

Happy 41st week of the year!

NIGERIA: PRAYING INTO OCTOBER 8-14 (THE 41ST WEEK OF THE YEAR AND THE 2ND WEEK OF NIGERIA’S YEAR)

Every week of the year is a gate of time for some purpose – divine or diabolical. Certain divine purposes are ordained for this week but there are also evil purposes waiting to crash into the gate of this week. That is the reason spiritual gatekeepers must be informed and alert. Let us pray that God’s will prevail in the nations this week. What does the Bible reveal about the 41st season?

1. IT IS A GATE OF REVELATION FOR UNCOVERING AND PARALYZING DEMONIC PLOTS

This is a week of exposing and neutralizing demonic plots and traps. In Genesis 41, God exposed the evil plot to deceive the world with abundance and later destroy her with scarcity. This is a week of triumphing over demons and agents of demons.

3. IT IS THE GATE OF GOOD NEWS AND THE END OF WAITING

The 41st season is a time to exalt faith in God above reasoning. It is a season of operating with divine wisdom. It is a week to wage war with divine counsel.

D. IT IS A SEASON OF VICTORY THROUGH COMPASSION

THE SECOND WEEK OF NIGERIA’S YEAR

What does the Bible show about this gate of time?

1. IT IS A SEASON TO THWART EVIL MONOPOLIES AND DISMANTLE SPACE-BLOCKERS.

The second day of creation narrative, the second book of the Bible (Exodus), and the the second chapters of the Bible indicate that the second season is for fighting monopolies and space blockers to make a way where there’s none. On the second day of creation, God created the firmament to divide the waters that filled everywhere and made space impossible. That was the battle to create space. Space represents freedom. When God created the firmament, He called it heaven. God’s Heaven is a monopoly-breaker. The firmament is a space-maker. The space the firmament created is for every other creation – dry ground, vegetation, birds, fish, man, and land animals. Without the firmament, there would be no breathing space for anything. The second season is the Warriors Season. It’s for making room (space) for those who have no room or space. It’s for releasing help to the helpless. In the book of Exodus, God raised Moses as a human-firmament to thwart Egypt’s monopoly of power and delivered Israel from bondage. He fought Pharaoh and Egypt to create space and make room for Israel to become, or develop as, a nation. In the book of Exodus, Moses and His family received help to escape and survive traps of death. Israel also received help as they prayed to God, to come out of bondage. The book of Exodus is also about what God wanted from Israel after they came out of bondage. The second week of the year is a season of help for those in need of freedom or space. It is a week to cry to God for help. It is also a week to pledge loyalty to God.

2. IT IS A SEASON OF LIBERATION FROM OPPRESSION AND BONDAGE.

This is the season of freedom-fighters. It is a Book of Exodus week. In the second book of the Bible, Moses and Aaron rose by the word of God for the liberation of Israel from Egyptian bondage. The #EndSars protest started this week in 2020; October 8 to be precise.

3. IT IS FOR MAKING A WAY WHERE THERE IS NONE.

This week is a ‘second-chapters-of-the-Bible’ week. God gave help in the second chapters of the Bible as a pattern for the help that comes in the second season. In the second chapter of Genesis, God created woman to be a suitable help for man. The woman is a space-maker for the male-man. In the second chapter of the second book of the Bible, God made a way for Moses to survive and be raised by Egypt. God made a way for him to settle at Midian when he fled Egypt. In this second book of the Bible, God made a way for Israel across the Red Sea. In the second chapter of Ruth, Naomi and Ruth found help in the field of Boaz. In the second chapter of First Samuel, Hannah spoke of the help of God. In Daniel 2, Daniel received revelation-help concerning King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. In the second chapter of Matthew, God made a way for Baby Jesus to escape death. In John chapter 2, Jesus turned water into wine for a wedding party in need. In the second chapter of Acts, the Helper came from heaven to help the church and make room for her. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit broke the jail and delivered the church from the fear of the Jews. This second week of the year, may the Lord give Nigerians help that delivers from trouble and oppression. May the Lord make a way where there is no way.

PRAYER POINTS FOR THE SECOND WEEK OF NIGERIA’S YEAR

1. Pray that the Lord will divide and destroy the evil monopolies keeping Nigerians in bondage. Let the Pharaohs resisting God’s purpose in Nigeria be brought low.2. Pray that the Lord will make a way where there’s no way for the agents and seeds of change in Nigeria. Ask the Lord to deliver Nigerians from oppressors within and without.

SCRIPTURES FOR THE WEEK

Isaiah 41:18-20: “I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water.

God will move ‘impossible mountains’ this week.

Psalm 2:8-9: Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. [9] You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.'”

Have a happy 2nd week in Nigeria’s year and a tremendously blessed 41st week of the year!

PRAYING INTO OCTOBER 1-7 (THE 40TH WEEK OF THE YEAR AND THE 1ST WEEK OF NIGERIA’S YEAR)

0

THE FIRST WEEK OF NIGERIA’S YEAR

Happy New Year, Nigeria; and welcome to the first week of the year! Let us give thanks to God for bringing us into a new Nigeria-year. God is first and the first belongs to him.

Let us begin the year by giving God His place in the nation and in the year. God demands to be honoured in the first season. The firstborn belongs to Him. The first-fruit belongs to Him. In the same way, the first day, week, month – the first season – belongs to Him. In the first book of the Bible, God drove Adam and Eve from the Garden for dishonoring Him. He destroyed the first earth for the rebellion of humanity against Him. He judged Sodom and Gomorrah for their ungodly ways. God does not tolerate dishonor in the first season. God honors those who honor Him in the first season. In the first book of the Bible, God honored Enoch, Noah, and Abraham in unprecedented ways. The first week of the year is for honoring the Lord – through thanksgiving, receiving His word and acting on it. Nigeria ought to come before God with thanksgiving this beginning of her new year. Nigeria ought to give God a seed or token of devotion and honor in this season. This is the time to bring her glory, as the Giant of Africa, and lay it before the Owner of Heaven and earth. How is Nigeria going to do that? Only believers can do that on behalf of Nigeria. They can also disciple the leadership of the nation to show such gratitude to God at the beginning of her time each year. This is how a people can invite the presence of God to take over their nation. This week, let’s go before God on behalf of Nigeria with offerings of thanksgiving, praise and devotion. It is a season to be preoccupied with God and also fill the nation with God. It is a time to touch God’s heart through alignment with His plans and purposes. It is a time to acknowledge Him as FIRST in Nigeria. This is important because the devil uses every beginning to tempt men and recruit them to disregard God and live independently. He knows how spiritually strategic the beginning is; and that is when He wants people to focus on themselves instead of focusing on the Giver of time and life. Those who yield to the temptation inadvertently make themselves enemies of God and reset the course of the year against themselves. Man missed it in the first book of the Bible. Nations miss it or get it right at the beginning of each new year – their own years. Deuteronomy 28:47-48 says, “Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the LORD will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you”.

THE 40TH WEEK OF THE YEAR

The first week of Nigeria’s year is also the 40th week of the year. Nigeria gained independence in the 40th week of 1960; and her year changes at the beginning of the 40th week of each year. This is very significant. The 40th week is a critical gate of time. Since nothing comes into this world without passing through a gate of time, this week will be the door for certain purposes seeking to manifest on earth. God has an agenda for every gate of time. The evil one also has a purpose for every gate of time. It is important to understand this battle for time and what we ought to do or how we ought to pray.. Gates of time should be guarded diligently just as we guard physical gates. When gates of time are not guarded with understanding, the enemy will push through the gate to execute evil purposes planned for that gate of time or to obstruct divine purposes meant for that time.

Here are 6 things the Bible indicates concerning the 40th season:

1. The ’40th’ is the beginning of good news. The 40th book of the Bible (Matthew) is the beginning of the New Testament and the gospel of Jesus Christ. The 40th year of Nigeria was the first year of transition to Civil Rule and Matthew Obasanjo was President of Nigeria in that 40th year. Isaiah 40 opens with a message of comfort: “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God. [2] “Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from the LORD’s hand Double for all her sins.”

2. The 40th is a point of testimonies and new songs. Psalm 40:1-3 says, “I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. [2] He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. [3] He has put a new song in my mouth- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD”. Of the 17 African nations that gained independence in 1960, Nigeria was the only English-speaking country of West Africa in the number; and the only African country that gained independence on the first day of the 40th week of that year. The timing was perfect because God made Nigeria to be a bearer of good news and a minister of hope and comfort to the nations of the world. The enemy knows that; and is working very hard to tie Nigeria to bad news – corruption, fraud, insurgency, kidnapping, bloodshed, and so on. However, the hand of God is at work in Nigeria. The amalgamation of Nigeria happened in the year the First World War began because Nigeria was born for peace. Do you wonder why we are struggling to have peace at home? The devil wants to make us the opposite of what, and who, God made us to be; and many are cooperating with him. That is the reason we must contend earnestly for the prophetic destiny of our country, Nigeria.

3. The 40th season is for the manifestation of God in the affairs of men. In the 40th book of the Bible, Jesus is called Emmanuel (God with us). In Genesis 40, God manifested Himself through Joseph to interpret the dreams of Pharaoh’s servants. Joseph told them that “interpretations belong to God”; yet it came through him. He was Emmanuel in that prison. In Exodus 40, the glory of God filled the tabernacle in the form of cloud; and Moses could not enter the tabernacle of meeting. In Job 40, the servant of God laid his hands in his mouth and said he would not speak again. He gave up the floor so God would have His way.  In Psalm 40, the psalmist testifies of God’s intervention and deliverance following a season of waiting. Isaiah 40 says, “Behold, the Lord GOD shall come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him. [11] He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young” (Isaiah 40:10-11). In Jeremiah 40, God sent a savior, Johanan, to Gedaliah; to save his life by revealing the plot of the Ammonites to assassinate him; but he did not believe him. He rejected the truth. He lacked spiritual sensitivity.

4. The 40th season is a season of freedom and salvation for those who believe. In Jeremiah 40, the prophet was set free to choose where to live. Jesus set people free from afflictions in the 40th book of the Bible

5. The 40th is a season to operate by faith. It is not a season of rationalizations. Sensitivity in the spirit is key to succeeding in the 40th season. Jesus challenged people to believe the gospel in the 40th book of the Bible. In Ezekiel 40, the prophet began to receive a revelation of the Jerusalem and new temple. God comes in the 40th season; so, it is necessary to prepare the way for His coming. The 40th season is a time to see into the spirit realm.

6. The 40th season is the terminus for waiting. Psalm 40:1-3 says, “I WAITED PATIENTLY for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. [2] He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. [3] He has put a new song in my mouth- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD”.The Lord discharged Moses from waiting and fasting before Him on the 40th day. Jesus ended His great fast on the 40th day. Israel’s wilderness journey ended with 40th year. Moses ended His allegiance to the Pharaoh family about his 40th year. This is a good time to remember nations, journeys and projects that are in the 40th season.

PRAYER POINTS FOR THE WEEK

1. Give thanks to God for leading us through 39 weeks of the year. Thank Him for His love and faithfulness.

2. Pray that as the Old Testament ends with 39th book and the New Testament begins with the 40th, so be it that the Old Testament side of the year is gone with the 39th week and that we have cone into the New Testament side of good news in the year. Let the good news begin this week.

3. Pray also that as the stripes of Jesus ended with the 39th, let the season of stripes come to an end in the year. Let there be a shift in the year from pain to comfort as Isaiah 40:1-2 says.

4. Pray that the Lord will grant us grace to walk by faith concerning His works in the nations and concerning our prayers before – as this New Testament week demands; because without faith it is impossible to please God; and two cannot work together unless they agree.

5. Pray that the presence and glory of the Lord will take over in the nations this 40th week – wherever God’s people have done as commanded – as it filled the Tabernacle in the 40th chapter of Exodus.

6. Pray that as Jesus came in the 40th book of the Bible and brought change by His teachings and miracles, let the 40th week of the year be a week of week in the nations.

7. Pray that the Lord will us this 40th week to find answers to puzzles in the nations as Joseph interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s servants in Genesis 40.

8. Pray for strength to diligent occupy and guard the gate of this 40th week against satanic purposes and to see that God’s will is done in the nations as it is in heaven.

9. Pray that the Lord will have mercy on us with respect to any sin, failure, shortcoming, or fault, that may count against Nigeria in the new year. Ask the Lord to forgive us and cleanse us from every uncleanliness.

10. Pray that the Lord will save us from the disasters of this week. Let the name and blood of Jesus speak for Nigeria this week.

SCRIPTURE FOR THE WEEK:

Isaiah 40: 31 “But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint”.This week, may the Lord grant Nigeria and her people a smooth take-off in nation’s new year.

Have a happy 1st week in Nigeria’s year and a triumphant 40th week of the year!

The Mystery of the 56th Birthday or Anniversary

0

The 56th birthday or anniversary is the time to mark the end or closing of the 56th year – not the beginning of it. One day after the 56th birthday, you’re in the 57th year. So, the 57th year is the 12-month season following the 56th birthday or anniversary. So, if you have marked the 56th year, you are welcome to the 57th year. You have graduated from the 8th seven years of life and have begun the journey into the ninth seven years of life. Year 57 is the first year of the ninth seven years and the eighth year in the second 49 years of life. It is a new beginning in the second 49 years.

The Bible patterns for understanding the 57th year are 1) the first day of creation narrative; 2) the 57th book of the Bible; 3) the 57th chapters of the Bible; 4) the first five chapters of First Samuel, the 9th book of the Bible.

The 57th year is a first day of creation year in the ninth 7 years. It is the first year in the 9th seven years of life. As God raised light against darkness on the first day of creation, the 57th year is a season of conflict between light and darkness. It is a year of triumphing over darkness with light; and of separating light from darkness. It is a year to initiate change; not a day to sit and watch the status quo. Although the beginning of the first day of creation was full of darkness, the end was full of light. This is the year to begin to take steps and mount pressure for change in the ninth 7 years..

The 57th year is a book of Philemon year. Philemon is the 57th book of the Bible; and is applicable to the 57th year of life. The book is like a drama of divine intervention. Onesimus defrauded his master and ran away. That was intended to give his master pain and losses. Somehow, the plan of the evil one was overturned. Onesimus went Paul’s way and was won to the Lord. What Satan intended against Philemon for deceiving Onesimus turned against the kingdom of darkness. Satan lost Onesimus forever while Philemon gained him forever. Darkness does not triumph in the 57th season. This year is for disrupting the reign of darkness in matters affecting you – by releasing light through prayer, prophetic decrees, and corresponding action.

The 57th year is a First Samuel 1-5 season in the 9th seven years. The ninth book of the Bible is a prophetic pattern for the 9th 7 years of life and the first 5 chapters of the 9th book of the Bible is applicable to the first year in the season At the beginning of this section, Hannah was in the darkness through barrenness. Her husband’s other wife mocked her and made her life miserable. She prayed to God and the Lord changed her story by giving her a son, Samuel. This is a year to pray like Hannah for a change of story. The nation was also under the darkness of sin and the corrupt priestly leadership of the house of Eli. The nation was oppressed by the Philistines. In this season, the Word of the Lord came to Samuel about the judgment of the house of Eli. That judgment, leading to the defeat of Israel in battle, the capturing of the ark, and the death of Eli’s sons, Eli, and Eli’s daughter in-law, is recorded in the fourth chapter of First Samuel. In the fifth chapter, the Philistines placed the Ark of God in the temple of dagon, their god. God began to afflict the image of dagon. As you call upon God in this year, the Spirit of judgment will be stirred against opposing and hindering forces around you, your family, and various concerns.

The 57th year is the beginning of recovery as in the first 5 chapters of the ninth book of the Bible. May this day bring change against darkness in your life and circumstances. In the first four chapters of First Samuel, the Lord recovered the Nazirite Israel lost in Samson; and the priesthood Israel could not have in the house of Eli.

The 57th year is a 57th-chapters-of-the-Bible year. The 57th is a season is when wickedness and the wicked rise to great power but are brought down through prayer and the intervention of God. It is a season of a major victory against the wicked and wickedness that are an obstruction to God’s plan of recovery in the season. Psalm 57 is a confessional about crying out to God against the wicked enemies. Psalm 57:2-6 says, “I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me. [3] He shall send from heaven and save me; He reproaches the one who would swallow me up. Selah God shall send forth His mercy and His truth. [4] My soul is among lions; I lie among the sons of men Who are set on fire, Whose teeth are spears and arrows, And their tongue a sharp sword. [5] Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth. [6] They have prepared a net for my steps; My soul is bowed down; They have dug a pit before me; Into the midst of it they themselves have fallen. Selah.

Isaiah 57 derides those who trust in idols. Isaiah 57:3-13 says, “But come here, You sons of the sorceress, You offspring of the adulterer and the harlot! [4] Whom do you ridicule? Against whom do you make a wide mouth And stick out the tongue? Are you not children of transgression, Offspring of falsehood, [5] Inflaming yourselves with gods under every green tree, Slaying the children in the valleys, Under the clefts of the rocks? [6] Among the smooth stones of the stream Is your portion; They, they, are your lot! Even to them you have poured a drink offering, You have offered a grain offering. Should I receive comfort in these? [7] “On a lofty and high mountain You have set your bed; Even there you went up To offer sacrifice. [8] Also behind the doors and their posts You have set up your remembrance; For you have uncovered yourself to those other than Me, And have gone up to them; You have enlarged your bed And made a covenant with them; You have loved their bed, Where you saw their nudity. [9] You went to the king with ointment, And increased your perfumes; You sent your messengers far off, And even descended to Sheol. [10] You are wearied in the length of your way; Yet you did not say, ‘There is no hope.’ You have found the life of your hand; Therefore you were not grieved. [11] “And of whom have you been afraid, or feared, That you have lied And not remembered Me, Nor taken it to your heart? Is it not because I have held My peace from of old That you do not fear Me? [12] I will declare your righteousness And your works, For they will not profit you. [13] When you cry out, Let your collection of idols deliver you. But the wind will carry them all away, A breath will take them. But he who puts his trust in Me shall possess the land, And shall inherit My holy mountain.”

Isaiah 57 is also a revelation of the heart of God towards those who seek Him. Isaiah 57:14-21 says, “And one shall say, “Heap it up! Heap it up! Prepare the way, Take the stumbling block out of the way of My people.” [15] For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones. [16] For I will not contend forever, Nor will I always be angry; For the spirit would fail before Me, And the souls which I have made. [17] For the iniquity of his covetousness I was angry and struck him; I hid and was angry, And he went on backsliding in the way of his heart. [18] I have seen his ways, and will heal him; I will also lead him, And restore comforts to him And to his mourners. [19] “I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near,” Says the LORD, “And I will heal him.” [20] But the wicked are like the troubled sea, When it cannot rest, Whose waters cast up mire and dirt. [21] “There is no peace,” Says my God, “for the wicked.”

The 57th year is a Genesis to Second Samuel year in the 9th seven years. Every seven-year season has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four years of the season constitute the Old Testament side. The last three years of the seven belong to the New Testament side. The 57th year is the year beginning of the O.T side of the 9th seven years. The guiding light for the season is the first 10 books of the Bible. In this section of the Bible, God is looking for a man – one after His heart; one that expresses His thoughts. He saw Abel, Seth, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Samuel; and they were all pleasing to Him; but He found His desire in David. May the Lord see His desire in you in this year.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each season. In this season, decree the collapse and end of expressions and manifestations of darkness in your life and world. Decree that expressions of light will triumph in this ‘f’irst day’ of the 9th prophetic week. Make a quality decision to receive the word of the Lord and act on it without fear or doubts. Determine to walk in unconditional love. This is a season of sacrificial (tough) love. In all you do, take time to hear from God. Do not act without His direction. Follow what He says or shows. Alignment with His purposes is key to triumph in this season. Decree that this is a season of recovery and not a season of loses. Declare that the Philistines will not win the war of this season because of your alignment with God. Decree that the Philistines will not take away the Ark from you. Decree that the Lord will begin to afflict the Philistines for touching the Holy Vessel as He did in First Samuel 5. Decree that the Philistines will not be able to keep what is yours. Decree that your Onesimus must return to you.

Happy 57th year! May the Lord lead you to fulfill His purpose for this year of your life.

PRAYING INTO THE 40TH WEEK OF THE YEAR (OCTOBER 1-7)

0

The 40th week is a critical gate of time. Since nothing comes into this world without passing through a gate of time, this week will be the door for certain purposes seeking to manifest on earth. God has an agenda for every gate of time. The evil one also has a purpose for every gate of time. It is important to understand this battle for time and what we ought to do or how we ought to pray.. Gates of time should be guarded diligently just as we guard physical gates. When gates of time are not guarded with understanding, the enemy will push through the gate to execute evil purposes planned for that gate of time or to obstruct divine purposes meant for that time.

Here are 7 things the Bible indicates concerning the 40th season:

1. The ’40th’ is the beginning of good news. The 40th book of the Bible (Matthew) is the beginning of the New Testament and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Isaiah 40 opens with a message of comfort: “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God. [2] “Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from the LORD’s hand Double for all her sins.” The plan of the evil one is for battles to continue when it ought to cease.

The 40th season is a time to solve problems by the ability God gives.

4. The 40th season is a season of freedom and salvation for those who believe. In Jeremiah 40, the prophet was set free to choose where to live. Jesus set people free from afflictions in the 40th book of the Bible

5. The 40th is a season to operate by faith. It is not a season of merely reasoning out things.

7. The 40th is where man stops and hands over to God. The book of Exodus ends at the 40th chapter with the cloud of God’s presence over the Tabernacle and the glory of God filled the Tabernacle. As soon as Moses finished the work, God took over and the Moses could not enter the Tabernacle. God overtakes man in the 40th season.

PRAYER POINTS FOR THE 40TH WEEK

PRAYING INTO THE 39TH WEEK OF THE YEAR (SEPTEMBER 24-30)

0

Here are five things about the 39th season – from the 39th book and chapters of the Bible.

1. The 39th is the end of a phase, and the beginning of a new story. Malachi, the 39th book of the Bible, is the end of the Old Testament. It is the book before the New Testament. In Genesis 39, Joseph’s time in Portiphar’s house began and ended. He parted with his garment of slavery in this chapter. He never returned to that house. Genesis 39 is the bridge chapter in the life of Joseph. From being Portiphar’s slave, he went to prison where He met his change. It was in the 39th year of Azariah king of Judah that the Northern Kingdom experienced a power-shift from Zechariah to Shallum to Menahem (2 Kings 15:8-17). After the 39th chapter of Isaiah, the Lord moved from confrontation to comfort. The 39th season is transition season.

The work on the tabernacle, under Bezalel, ended in Exodus 39 with the preparation of the garment of the priests. The tabernacle was dedicated in the 40th chapter. Job 39 marked the end of God’s first round of questions to Job. Isaiah’s four-chapter story about Hezekiah that began in the 36th chapter, ended in Isaiah 39. In this chapter, Isaiah spoke of the captivity of Judah. Isaiah 39:5-7 says, “Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the LORD of hosts: [6] ‘Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and what your fathers have accumulated until this day, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left,’ says the LORD. [7] ‘And they shall take away some of your sons who will descend from you, whom you will beget; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.’” In Jeremiah 39, Jerusalem finally fell to the Babylonians according to God’s word; and Jeremiah was freed and favored by the Babylonians. In Ezekiel 39, the Prophet saw Israel restored to her land.

How has this played out in modern history?

The stories of men and nations confirm there is a shift that occurs in the 39th season.

The War of 1812-1814 between the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland ended with a Peace treaty in the 39th year of the United States. That war was the second and last war of America’s independence. The United States became completely free from British domination in the 39th year of the nation – following that war of 1812-1814. The Camp David Accord between Israel and Egypt happened in the season of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States. It was the beginning of a new day for the two countries. Margaret Thatcher became UK Prime Minister in the 39th seven years of the United Kingdom; and she was the first woman to hold that office. Nigeria moved from military rule to democracy in 1999, the 39th year of her nationhood. That was when she began to move into the New Testament of her political destiny. Nigeria became independent on October 1, 1960; the day following the end of the 39th week of the year. Nigeria ceased to be a British colony after the 39th week of 1960.

2. In the 39th season men are called to reflect on the frailty of human life and call upon God for deliverance from death. In Psalm 39:4-6, the psalmist says, “LORD, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am. [5] Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah [6] Surely every man walks about like a shadow; Surely they busy themselves in vain; He heaps up riches, And does not know who will gather them. In Jeremiah 39, Jerusalem fell as Jeremiah prophesied. In Ezekiel 39, Gog is deceived to march against Israel. The forces of Gog were defeated and destroyed; and their carcasses given to the birds of the air. 1939 was a year of great loss of lives. January 13 was Black Friday in Victoria where 71 people died in one of Australia’s bushfires. On January 24, earthquake killed 30, 000 people in Chile. On December 27, earthquake shook eastern Turkey and left over 32, 700 people dead. This is besides the lives consumed by the Second World War that began September 1. The war was an invite from the spirit of death. This week in 1992 (26 September) a Nigerian Air Force plane NAF911 crashed three minutes after take-off from Lagos, Nigeria. A total of 159 military officers including 8 foreign nationals (151 from Nigeria, 5 from Ghana, 1 from Tanzania, 1 from Zimbabwe, 1 from Uganda) were confirmed dead.

3. In the 39th season, heaven permits men to be tempted and tested for their future and destiny. In Genesis 39, Joseph was tempted to commit immorality. He refused, and was victimized. His mind was on truth instead of fantasy. He passed the test of the season. In Exodus 39, God gave commandments to Moses about the priestly garment and the Ephod. The ephod was used to determine the will of God. The 39th season is a time to discern the will of God before taking action. It is not a time to do your own thing. If only Adolf Hitler knew that, he would not have commanded the invasion of Poland in 1939. At least, he would have saved his own life. He was deceived and deceived others to go with him on a journey that did not favor him and his large company. In the 39th chapter of Psalms, the psalmist speaks of using his mouth carefully. In Psalm 39:1-2, the psalmist says, I said, “I will guard my ways, Lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, While the wicked are before me.” [2] I was mute with silence, I held my peace even from good; And my sorrow was stirred up”. Words matter in the 39th season. The season is also when the worth of men are weighed in a balance. In Malachi, the 39th and last book of the Old Testament, the Lord entered into controversy with Israel but they were full of defenses. The contested every point God made n the book. How can men argue or contend with God?

The 39th season is a time of temptation and tough choices. The subject of the temptation is usually “Lie with me”. If the tempter does not get, peacefully, what he wants, he turns to victimization. Dissidents are victimized in the 39th season. Hezekiah faced that temptation in Isaiah 39 – whether or not to receive the royal guests from Babylon. Hezekiah did not know he was being tempted. Hezekiah ill-advisedly received Babylonian guests and showed them everything in his palace. Isaiah rebuked Him for that; but the king did not understand the weight of what he did. In the 14th book of the Bible where the incident s also reported, 2 Chronicles 32:31 says, “However, regarding the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to inquire about the wonder that was done in the land, God withdrew from him, in order to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart”.Judah and Jerusalem faced that temptation in Jeremiah 39 – whether to surrender to Babylon or not. That was the temptation Poland faced in 1939 concerning Germany’s interest in the city of Danzig. This week in 2022, parts of Ukraine will face this temptation. Russia mastermind a “Lie with me” referendum in parts of Ukraine she occupies. Wisdom and divine guidance are grossly needed in this season.

4. The 39th season is for humbling the proud. Asa the king of Judah became proud and incorrigible. He imprisoned a messenger of God that brought correction to him. He became sick in the 39th year. The proud and arrogant get stuck in the 39th season. 2 Chronicles 16:12 says, “And in the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa became diseased in his feet, and his malady was severe; yet in his disease he did not seek the LORD, but the physicians”. The destruction of Jerusalem is recorded in Jeremiah 39. Those who did not believe the words of the prophet were humiliated.

5. The 39th season is a time to trust God for restoration because the old is coming to an end. The 39th book of the ended with a promise of restoration. Malachi 4:5-6 says, “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. [6] And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

6. The 39th season is a time to prove and showcase the faithfulness of God. Since, it is a time of temptation and tough choices, God vindicates those who make choices that honour and glorify Him. Joseph proved the faithfulness of God when his master put him in prison. In the 39th book of the Bible (Malachi), God challenged Israel to prove Him by sending in their tithes. Malachi 3:10-12 says, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. [11] “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts; [12] “And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,” Says the LORD of hosts”.

PRAYER POINTS FOR THE 39TH WEEK

1. Pray that the Lord will help you, and all your people in the nations, as He helped Joseph in Genesis 39, to walk in the spirit and overcome every trial and temptation of this week.

Pray that the Lord will deliver us from blindly questioning Him in this 39th week as Israel questioned Him and argued with Him in the 39th book of the Bible.

Declare that the Old Testament side of this year is ending this 39th week. Pray that the pains of this year may end with this 39th week and let good news of God love and mercy greet the nations as we step into the 40th week of the year

Pray that the Lord will vindicate the faithful in the nations in this 39th week of the year as He vindicated Jeremiah in the 39th chapter of the book of Jeremiah.

Pray against unnecessary provocations and unjust wars that seek to rise in the 39th season.

SCRIPTURE FOR THE WEEK

PRAYING INTO THE 12TH WEEK OF THE YEAR (MARCH 19 – 25)

The way the Holy Spirit inspired the assignment of chapter numbers to Bible narratives indicate the following concerning the 12th season:

1. It is associated with wasting of lives and shedding of blood. The firstborn of Egypt perished in the 12th chapter of Exodus. The 12th book of the Bible opens with the deaths – of 102 soldiers who went to arrest Elijah; of the 42 children who mocked Elisha. The house of Ahab was wiped off in the 12th book of the Bible. There was so much bloodshed in this book. Haman plotted to kill Mordecai and all Jews in Persia in the 12th month. He determined the execution of was chosen by lot. On that day, Jews overpowered and killed their enemies. Herod beheaded James and also wanted to kill Peter in Acts 12. Herod died in that chapter. In Revelation 12, the dragon planned to devour the Man-child and his mother. There was so much death in Nigeria in the season of the 12th National Leader – from riots, explosions, plane crashes and so on. The wife of the 12th National Leader +First Lady) died in office. The 12th President of the United States, Zachary Taylor, died in office.

2. It is a season of intervention to rescue lives and save people from the troubles of life.* God intervened in the lives of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 12 as they went to sojourn in Egypt. The blood saved Israel from the spirit of death in Exodus 12 on the night of the Passover. Elisha was God’s agent of intervention in the 12th book of the Bible. God delivered Peter from Herod’s prison in Acts 12. The Man+child was delivered from the dragon in Revelation 12.

3. It is a season departures and parting ways. Abraham departed his native land in Genesis 12. Israel departed Egypt in Exodus 12. Samuel retired and have his farewell speech in First Samuel 12. The House of David lost ten tribes in First Kings 12. Elijah departed the earth in the 12th book of the Bible. The Man-child departed the earth in Revelation 12. The emergence of the 12th National Leader ended military rule in Nigeria. The Federal Capital Territory moved effectively from Lagos to Abuja on the 12th day of the 12th month of the year beginning the 12th seven years of Nigeria’s Amalgamation. The 12th month is the last month of the year. Secession is a temptation in the 12th season. Sharia-states began to emerge in Nigeria in the season of the 12th National Leader.

PRAYER-POINTS FOR THE 12TH WEEK

1. Let no lives be wasted in the nations this 12th week. Let the devourer and waster be frustrated.

2. Let this week be a week of moving forward and going higher in the will of God. Let it be a week of taking off to divine appointments.

3. Let this week be ia week of nterventions to save lives and meet needs.

4. Let the backbone of oppressors be broken this week and let the oppressed be released this week.

C. PROMISES

A. PROLOGUE

THE 13TH WEEK OF THE YEAR

The 13th book and chapters of the Bible reveal four major things concerning the 13th season:

1. The 13th season is a season of separation. It is a season of divisions when people and things are put where they belong. The division of Bible narratives by chapter numbers took place in early 13th century. The adversary pushes for unholy mixtures and alliances in this season. Lot separated from Abraham in Genesis 13. Abraham returned from Egypt in Genesis 13 but also returned with Hagar – the Egyptian slave girl.Israel moved from Egypt in Exodus 13 and God commanded all firstborn be consecrated to Him. Leviticus 13 is about the separation of the (unclean) leper. The priests (consecrated men) examine the lepers. In Numbers 13, Joshua and Caleb stood out from the rest of the 12 spies.Deuteronomy 13 is about how Israelites should deal with those who will tempt them to step out of their consecration to serve other gods.In Judges 13, Samson’s mother was to consecrated herself to conceive and give birth to a Nazirite. In First Samuel 13, Kings offered a sacrifice he was not consecrated for and was rejected from being king. In First Kings 13, the man of God from Judah violated his consecration and died for it.In First Chronicles 13, the Ark of God was conveyed on a cart instead of being carried by consecrated men. Uzzah died from the error. In Second Chronicles 13, Judah defeated Israel in battle because Israel under Jeroboam had lost consecration before God.In Nehemiah 13, the Jews were called to separate from mixed marriages and unholy alliances. In Revelation 13, the beast marked his own people with 666. The mark of the beast distinguished between men and men.In the 13th seven years of the United States, slaves were separated from their masters by the 13th Amendment and the Emancipation Proclamation. This 13th week, Heaven will separate men from men, from places, and from tasks.

2. The 13th season is a season of love in which the adversary seeks to promote pseudo (counterfeit) love, spread hate, and perpetrate wickedness. The love-chapters of the Bible are the 13th chapters: In Genesis 13, eschewed quarelling with Lot because “we are brethren”.In John 13, Jesus commanded his disciples to love one another. Romans 13 says Love is the fulfilling of the law.First Corinthians 13 says Love is greater than faith and hope.Hebrews 13 says, “let brotherly love continue”.The enemy works wickedness in the 13th season. In Second Samuel 13, one of David’s sons raped David’s daughter, Tamar (Absalom’s sister) in the name of ‘love’. Absalom killed him for it. That was hate in a chapter of love! Psalm 13 is a prayer of deliverance from enemies and troubles. The humble need God’s mercy in the 13th season because of the wickedness of the wicked.

3. The thirteenth season is when Heaven focuses on taking and giving lands. The strife between the Herdsmen of Abraham and and the Herdsmen of Lot was over insufficient land. In Genesis 13, “…The LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are-northward, southward, eastward, and westward; [15] for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. [16] And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. [17] Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.” [18] Then Abram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the LORD”. In Numbers 13, Moses sent 12 spies to view the land of Canaan and bring back report. In Joshua 13, God told Joshua to survey land for allocation to the tribes. In this chapter, Israelites began to receive and possess their possessions.Isaiah 13 is about the desolation of Babylon. Their land was given to the Medes.Matthew 13 is about parables concerning land and things done in it. Luke 13 also has land parables. In Acts 13, God released Paul and Barnabas for their missionary work in foreign lands. Saul became Paul in this chapter. Believers were first called Christians here. Paul judged Bar-Jesus (Elymas) in this chapter. The 13th season is a season of taking lands for God.

4. It is a season of judgment against wickedness. The 13th chapters of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Zechariah are about judgments. The 13th chapters of Mark and Luke are also about judgments.Since the 13th season is a season of consecration to God, the god of this world wants it to be a season of committing sacrilege and forming unholy mixtures on earth. Think of 2013 and LGBTQ breakthroughs. Since God wants the 13th season to be a season of love, the enemy wants it to be a season of pseudo love, hate, and wickedness. Judas Iscariot became betrayer ofJesus in John 13. Since, God made the 13th season to be a season of receiving inheritance, the enemy wants it to be a season of strong resistance to entering, possessing, or enjoying, your inheritance. He fights with terrorism and persecutions to scare people from lands.

THE 26TH WEEK OF NIGERIA’S YEAR

Going through the 26th week of the year is like living in the 26th book and chapters of the Bible for a week. The 26th book and chapters of the Bible reveal the following about the 26th season:

It is a season to be preoccupied with the glory and majesty of God. This season does not tolerate human arrogance. In the 26th book of the Bible, God calls the prophet “son of man”. In this season, God wants men to know they are men and to acknowledge Him as Lord. King Uzziah suffered and died because of pride in Second Chronicles 26. In Ezekiel 26, the prophet pronounced judgment on Tyre because of pride and haughtiness. Isaiah 26 is about the judgment and punishment of the wicked and rebellious.

It is a time to spare lives but the enemy wants it to be a time of bloodshed. David spared the life of King Saul in First Samuel 26. Jeremiah 26 is about the Prophet’s deliverance from death. Mamman Vatsa and 12 others were executed in the 26th year of our country (March 5, 1986) for alleged treason. In Numbers 26, by the time of the second census, adults who were counted in the first census had died except Moses, Caleb, and Joshua.

It is a season of abundant prosperity which the enemy wants to turn into a time of scarcity. It is a season of fruitfulness which the enemy seeks to make a time of barrenness. It is a season of blessings which the enemy wants to turn into a time of curses. God prospered Isaac in Genesis 26.

It is a season of justice which the evil one pours out injustice. Isaac faced injustice in Genesis 26. Jesus faced trial in Matthew 26. Paul faced trial in Acts 26. Psalm 26 is a cry to God for vindication. The 26th season is a time of blessings, which the enemy wants to make a season of curses (Leviticus 26, Deuteronomy 26).

B. PRAYERS

Since, God made the 13th season to be a season of receiving inheritance, the enemy wants it to be a season of strong resistance to entering, possessing, or enjoying, your inheritance. He fights with terrorism and persecutions to scare people from lands.
