The 11th week of the year is a special time to remember women for good. Patterns in the 11th book and chapters of the Bible point in that direction – from Jephtah s daughter in Judges 11 to Mary and Martha in John 11.

In the 80s, two US President did something deeply spiritual – perhaps without knowing it: This week in 1987 (March 16), President Ronald Reagan signed a proclamation dedicating the month of March as Women’s History Month. About seven years earlier, in 1980, President Jimmy Carter issued a proclamation making the week of March 8 National Women’s History Week.

This week in 1910 (March 17), Camp Fire Girls was established as the first interracial, non-sectarian American organization for girls. This week in 1911 (March 18), several European countries officially celebrated International Women’s Day; more than 1 million activists from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, the Netherlands and Denmark took part in at least 300 demonstrations. This week in 1913 (Match 13), the Women’s Suffrage Parade in Washington, D.C., took place, where more than 8,000 women gathered to demand a constitutional amendment guaranteeing their right to vote. This week in 1969, Golda Meir became Israel’s first and only Prime Minister. This week in 2006 (March 11), Michelle Bachelet was inaugurated as President of Chile today in 2006. She was the first woman to hold that position.

In this video, I shared some deep things about the significance of the 11th season in relation to women. This week, pray for women, speak up for women, help women get better and do not mistreat women.

Happy 11th week of the year to all women.:
