As the first quarter of the 21st century ends with 2025, the year 2026 will open the womb of the second quarter of the century. What can we expect as we step into 2026? God has a plan for your life in 2026—and part of that plan is already echoing in your desires, dreams, and expectations for the year. Yet, the adversary will seek to use circumstances—economic, physical, relational, or spiritual—to limit your progress and hinder the life God intends for you. The year, 2026, will be a year of battles against limitations and against the agents that enforce them. This message will show you how to win.
A FIFTH-SEASON YEAR: 2026 is a fifth-season year. What does that mean? It is the fifth year within the fourth seven years of the 21st century (2022-2028). So, the basic guiding light for this season is in the narrative of the fifth day of creation (Genesis 1:20-23), the fifth book of the Bible (Deuteronomy) and the fifth chapters of the Bible. Get ready to beat obstacles and soar in God’s plan for your life by following the Lord’s Voice – like Enoch in Genesis 5, Naaman in 2 Kings 5, the sick man in John 5, and like Peter in Acts 5.
A TWENTY-SIXTH-SEASON YEAR: The 26th year of the century also corresponds prophetically to the 26th Book and the 26th chapters of the Bible. Hidden within them are divine blueprints for winning in 2026. In them you will patterns of resistance and victory—a testimony that limitation can be defeated by faith, obedience, and spiritual insight.
A ‘NUMBERS 22-26′ YEAR: What does 2026 have to do with Numbers 27-31? I will show you. The fourth Book of the Bible (Numbers) is the guiding light for the fourth seven years of the 21st century (2022-2028). Each year of the season has a corresponding section in the the Book of Numbers: 2022 (Numbers 1-6 – number the men of war); 2023 (Numbers 7-11 – sound the alarm); 2024 (Numbers 12-16 – war against rebels); 2025 (Numbers 17-21 – vindication and fall of the mighty); 2026 (Numbers 22-26 – Israel, Balak, Balaam and temptations to compromise); 2027 (Numbers 27-31); 2028 (Numbers 32-36). In 2026, the ungodly will seek desperately to gain power over the godly. In Numbers 22-24, Balak was willing to pay anything to have Balaam curse Israel for him (just as the Jewish authorities paid Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus in Matthew 26; and as the Ziphites betrayed David in 1 Samuel 26. Beware of betrayal! The world may seek to get at you through people who are close to you. Beware of the tempter. Remember the consequence of Israel joining themselves to Baal of Peor in Numbers 25. In 2026, you may be tempted to compromise
BIBLICAL PICTURES OF LIMITATION AND VICTORY IN THE 26TH SEASON
- Genesis 26 – Isaac faced famine and hostility from the Philistines that could have ended his destiny, but through divine direction, he prospered and became exceedingly great.
- Numbers 26 – Israel faced the tragedy of divine judgment. Many did not make it to the new census. They were limited by lack of faith, disobedience, curses and death. Only Joshua and Caleb advanced.
- 1 Samuel 26 – David was delivered from Saul’s plot and also overcame the temptation to kill Saul and take a shortcut to the throne.
- Job 26 – Job, though afflicted by misfortune and disease, refused to lose his reverence for God; he proclaimed the majesty of the Almighty in his lowest moment.
- Ezekiel (the 26th book) – Though a captive by the River Chebar, Ezekiel was not limited by his location or circumstance. The heavens opened to him, and he saw the glory of God. He went through pressures but stood firm for God.
- Matthew 26 – Jesus was betrayed, arrested, and condemned, yet He triumphed through surrender, turning apparent defeat into redemption.
- Acts 26 – Paul stood in chains before kings but spoke as a free man, testifying boldly of the risen Christ.
In 2026, the world may collide with judgmental decrees manifesting as economic strain, hunger, political upheavals, diseases, and even the shadow of death—but none of these can stop those who walk with God. Whatever battles you face, you are called to triumph.
SEVEN WEAPONS FOR VICTORY IN 2026
“The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” — 2 Corinthians 10:4
1. Divine Direction: Isaac overcame famine by hearing and obeying God’s voice in Genesis 26. The vision of the prophet in Ezekiel 1 highlights that the living creatures went where the Spirit was going without turning. Divine direction is the master key to victory in this season. When you follow God’s leading in 2026, no circumstance can imprison your destiny.
2. Walking in the Spirit: Ezekiel lived in the Spirit in the 26th Book of the Bible. The heavens opened to him, and the Spirit carried him to see, hear, and act beyond natural limits. To walk in the Spirit in 2026 is to fly above the storms that sink others.
3. Obedience to God: 2026 is the year of the obedient. Leviticus 26 reveals blessings for obedience (vv. 3–13) and curses for rebellion (vv. 14–39). Ezekiel lived a life of disciplined obedience. The obedient will flourish where others fall.
4. Guarding the Gates: Gates represent access and control. Isaiah 26:2 says, “Open the gates, That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in”. In 1 Chronicles 26, David appointed 4,000 gatekeepers—men who guarded the thresholds of the sanctuary. The word “gate” appears more in Ezekiel than in any other book. In 2026, secure the gates of your life, family, and nation through prayer, watchfulness, and holiness. Gatekeepers give or restrict access:
5. Focus on God’s Vision: Ezekiel fixed his gaze on the heavenly temple, not on earthly trouble. God wants you to focus on what He is doing, not on what the enemy is attempting. 2026 is a year of divine visions—a time to see with the eyes of the Spirit and stay unmoved by distractions.
6. Prophetic Declaration: Throughout Ezekiel, God commands the prophet to “Prophesy!”—to speak life, to confront, and to create. Your mouth is both a creative and destructive weapon in 2026. Use it with authority. Speak God’s Word into your atmosphere until dry bones live again.
7. Persistent Prayer: 2026 will require unceasing prayer. Psalm 26 is a prayer for vindication. Jesus Himself prayed intensely in Matthew 26:36–46. Pray for divine preservation, for deliverance from temptation, and for protection from violent and bloodthirsty powers. The God who saved David (1 Samuel 26) and Jeremiah (Jeremiah 26) will also save you
PERSECUTION AND ESCAPE FROM DEATH
There will be persecutions in 2026. The wicked will plot to kill the godly. There will be major assassination attempts in the year but God will deliver and preserve His own. There was a plot to kill Jesus in Matthew 26 but God was in control. God delivered David from the hands of Saul in 1 Samuel 26, delivered His prophet in Jeremiah 26, and delivered the 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, from assassination in 1912
JUDGMENT: “…THEY SHALL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD”
2026 will be a year of judgments in the nations. Isaiah 26:9-10 bears witness to this:
“With my soul I have desired You in the night, Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek
You early; For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world
will learn righteousness. Let grace be shown to the wicked, Yet he will not learn
righteousness; In the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly, And will not behold the
majesty of the LORD”. The book of Ezekiel is also full of judgmental proclamations. In 2026, God will show again that He is the Lord. The phrase “They…you…shall know that I am the Lord” is used many times, and mostly, in the book of Ezekiel. Many times, Ezekiel was also commanded to “prophesy against”. In 2026, God will show, in all the nations, that He is the Lord by the judgment He executes. He will reveal His Lordship by His judgments.
PRAYER POINTS FOR 2026
1. O Lord, give me wings to fly above the famine and troubles of 2026 (Genesis 26).
2. Let Your Tabernacle be raised and established in the nations. Make 2026 a year of Your dwelling among Your people (Exodus 26). Let it be said of the Church, “The Lord is there” (Ezekiel 48:35).
3. Grant me the grace of disciplined obedience and deliver me from rebellion (Leviticus 26 & Deuteronomy 26).
4. Let Your mercy preserve me from the plagues of 2026. Count me among the living at the year’s end (Numbers 26).
5. Frustrate every power seeking my downfall. Deliver me from false accusations, betrayals, and arrests by the enemy (1 Samuel 26; Jeremiah 26; Matthew 26; Acts 26)
6. O Lord, appoint and empower Your spiritual gatekeepers to watch over the gates of 2026 (1 Chronicles 26).
7. O Lord, judge the proud and the arrogant who block divine space. Pull down the strongholds of flesh and rebellion (2 Chronicles 26; Isaiah 26; Ezekiel 26).
8. Help me to finish well in 2026. Keep me from moving from strength to weakness (2 Chronicles 26).
9. Let the nations know that You, alone, are the Lord Supreme in 2026 (Job 26)
10. Vindicate me, O Lord. Distinguish me in 2026. Let me not suffer with the wicked and ungodly (Psalm 26)
IN 2026
“Though captivity surrounds you, Heaven will open above you.” You are not confined by what surrounds you. You are defined by Who empowers you. You are not limited by circumstances; you are lifted by covenant. Your River Chebar will become a place of encounter; famine will become your field of favor and increase; chains and captivity will become platforms for testimony and prophetic manifestation. In 2026, every limitation will become a ladder for your elevation; and a launching pad for new glory. Where others see impossibility, you will see opportunity. Where the enemy says “Stop,” God will say “Go.”. Where doors have been shut, the Spirit of the Lord will lift you above them.
