Welcome to the ninth day of the year! Day 9 is the second day of the second week; and also the ninth day in the first 49 days of the year. Day 9 is a core second-season day. It is ‘the second of the second’. There are four major Bible patterns for understanding the ninth day. They are: 1. the second day of creation; 2. the ninth book of the Bible; 3. the ninth chapters of the Bible; 4. the ninth-seven books of the Bible.

Day 9 is a second day of creation day. On the second day of creation, God created the firmament to destiny the monopoly of the waters; and be space. The second season is for fighting space-monopolizers. It is a season to destroy or weaken monopoly.

Day 9 is a book of First Samuel day. In this book, God raised four people who became monopoly breakers. The first was Hannah and her prayer that destroyed the monopoly of barrenness and Peninnah in her life and family. The second was Samuel and the prophetic word that broke the monopoly of the priesthood of the house of Eli and of the Philistines. The third and fourth were Saul and David who overturned the pride and dominion of the nations around Israel. The ninth season is a season of new things. In First Samuel, Israel desired a king and had her way. Monarchy began in Israel in the ninth book of the Bible. Three new leaders emerged in First Samuel: Samuel, Saul, and David.

Day 9 is a ‘ninth chapters of the Bible’ day. The ninth chapters of the Bible reveal that new leaders emerge in the ninth season. Noah commissioned his sons for leadership in Genesis 9. Saul was picked for kingship in First Samuel 9. Jehu was anointed king in Second Kings 9. Isaiah 9 announced the birth of the King of kings. Levi became a disciple of Jesus in Matthew 9 and Saul became an apostle in Acts 9. The ninth season is a season of death and escapes from death. God profited murder in Genesis 9. David escaped death plots in the ninth book of the Bible – First Samuel. The Jews escaped genocide but killed their enemies in the ninth chapter of the Esther. Jehu’s murderous revolution began in Second Kings 9. In Acts 9, God reversed the murderous plans of Saul of Tarsus and also delivered Aenas and Dorcas from death. The ninth chapters ofJeremiah, Ezekiel, and Revelation show that the ninth season is a season of deaths. The ninths of the Bible also reveal that the ninth season is for the recovery of lost things. Saul recovered the lost donkeys of his father in First Samuel 9. In the ninth book of the Bible, David and his men recovered their lost families; Samuel recovered the lost ministry of prophetic priesthood; and Israel recovered her lost glory.

Day 9 is a ‘ninth seven books of the Bible’ day. The ninth seven books of the Bible are Philemon, Hebrews, James, First Peter, Second Peter, First John, and Second John; and they are all books of recovery. The ninth season is a season of quest for the recovery of what was lost.

Day 9 is an Exodus 7-12 day. This was the season of plagues – from the striking of the Nile to the death of the firstborns. The ninth season is a season of plagues against the enemies of God. Jehovah, the Lord of hosts, fights with plagues in the ninth season. He plagued the Philistines in the book of First Samuel. He also plagued humanity in John’s vision in Revelation 9. Today, pray that our world is not plagued with disaster, destruction, and death.

Day 9 is a First Kings – to – Proverbs Day in the second week of the year. Going through any week is like taking a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The second day of the week is the second day in the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the second 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the second 10 books of the Bible, God wanted the kings of Israel to trust Him and lead the nation in the same direction. Beginning with Solomon, the kings of Israel began to patronize Idols. Idol worship became official in the northern kingdom following the split. Judah followed. Prophets rose in this season to call the nation back to God. Eventually, the two kingdoms went into captivity – the north fell to Assyria; and the south to the Babylonians. The Jews did return from captivity after 70 years. The last two books in this section of the Bible (Psalms and Proverbs) show that loss of faith in God is prelude to the loss of all things in the second season; but faith in God is the secret of power and strength. The faithful will triumph in the second season by the power and wisdom of God no matter what happens.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, declare that your faith will not fail; and that the faithful will triumph. Decree the downfall of those who disregard God and trust in themselves or idols, Today, prophesy against evil controlling powers and overthrow them by the word of the Lord. Mercy makes a way where there is no way. Today is a day of divine intervention and mercy. Today, release the word of the Lord against oppressive mountains in your life and in your world. Raise a cry to God against the proud and wicked in the land. Today, trust God to make a way where there is no way. Proclaim His word, Pray to Him. Praise Him! Today is a day of battle for freedom and space. Be strong to do it. Happy 9th day of the year!
