Day 30: The Mystery of January 30

0

Welcome to the 30th day of the year! Day 30 is the second day of the fifth week of the year. It is a second season day. The Bible patterns for understanding the 30th day are 1) the second day of creation narrative; 2) the 30th book of the Bible; 3) the 30th chapters of the Bible; 4) the second five chapters of Deuteronomy, the fifth book of the Bible.

Day 30 is a second-day-of-creation day. On the second day of creation, God created space (firmament or heaven) by getting the waters out of the way. The firmament divided the bloc of waters; one part under the firmament and the other part above the firmament. The firmament struck the waters from the middle. On this day, God dismantled a tangible obstacle and monopoly of the waters by the intangible firmament. Water should be heavier than space; yet space conquered it. This is a testimony to grace and greatness of God. The second-season monopolies could be systems, structures, or thought-patterns. The job of the firmament was to make way and make room for other things to exist. The second season is for removing things that occupy space but are dysfunctional. Anything that is threatening the existence of of other things is an enemy in the second season. Anyone threatening the existence of others is an enemy in the second season.

Day 30 is a Deuteronomy 6-10 day. It is a day to meditate on the grace of God. The second five chapters of Deuteronomy reveal that it was grace that gave Israel the Promised Land; not their righteousness. The sixth chapter is about fearing the and loving and clinging to His commandments. This is important because He is the backbone of Israel. The seventh chapter is about utterly destroying the inhabitants of the land. It is about God’s commitment to help ISRAEL destroy her enemies and possess the land. The eighth chapter is a warning against forgetting the Lord amid prosperity. The ninth and tenth chapters are reminders of God’s grace by pointing to Israel’s rebellion before God; which God forgave because of the intervention and intercession of Moses, the servant of God. It was the intercession of Moses that helped and saved the nation. The sin of the fifth season comes from forgetting the grace of God.

Day 30 is a book of Amos day. Amos is the thirtieth book of the Bible. Amos prophesied judgment against Israel because of transgressions. To transgress is to go beyond or overstep some boundaries or limits. Israel overstepped her moral boundaries and limits in the book of Amos. The prophet uses the word ‘transgress’,  ‘transgression’, or ‘transgressions’ in eleven verses within the first five chapters of the book. The grief in God’s heart concerning Israel’s transgressions was that they had forgotten the Grace and Power that delivered Israel from bondage. In their prosperity, they had forgotten God. The sin of Israel in the book of Amos is from intoxication with prosperity and abundance. The book of Amos is a book of fire – against transgressors. The thirtieth season is for destroying palaces with fire – among those who transgress the Lord’s commandments.

Day 30 is a 30th-chapters-of-the-Bible day. The 30th is a season of strife, competition, and war. In Genesis 30, Rachel declared war against her husband and her elder sister because of her barrenness. Two wives and seven children were added to Jacob. He also struck a new bargain with his uncle; that gave him much livestock. Exodus 30 is about commandments relating to the altar of incense, ransom money, bronze laver, holy anointing oil and incense. In the 30th season, barriers are broken in the tabernacle of God. Numbers 30 is commandments relating to vows. A man must not break his vows to God. The vows of a wife must be ratified by her husband. A girl’s vows must be ratified by her father. Vows are barrier breakers. In Deuteronomy 30, Moses puts before Israel the choice to obey or disobey God; and the attending blessings or curses. In First Samuel 30, Amalekites raided David’s camp at Ziklag and took away his family and the families of his men. He pursued them and recovered all. In Second Chronicles 30, Hezekiah led Judah to keep a great restored Passover feast. The 30th season is a season of recovery and revival. Isaiah 30 is a call to Israel to trust in the Lord instead of Egypt. Ezekiel 30 is prophecy that Egypt and her allies will fail. Jeremiah 30 is God’s promise about the restoration of Israel and Judah.

Day 30 is a First Kings – to – Proverbs Day in the fifth week of the year. Going through any week is like taking a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The second day of the week is the second day in the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the second 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the second 10 books of the Bible, God wanted the kings of Israel to trust Him and lead the nation in the same direction. Beginning with Solomon, the kings of Israel began to patronize Idols. Idol worship became official in the northern kingdom following the split. Judah followed. Prophets rose in this season to call the nation back to God. Eventually, the two kingdoms went into captivity – the north fell to Assyria; and the south to the Babylonians. The Jews did return from captivity after 70 years. The last two books in this section of the Bible (Psalms and Proverbs) show that loss of faith in God is prelude to the loss of all things in the second season; but faith in God is the secret of power and strength. The faithful will triumph in the second season by the power and wisdom of God no matter what happens.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, declare that your faith will not fail; and that the faithful will triumph. Decree the downfall of those who disregard God and trust in themselves or idols, Today, prophesy against evil controlling powers and overthrow them by the word of the Lord. Mercy makes a way where there is no way. Today is a day of divine intervention and mercy. Today, release the word of the Lord against oppressive mountains in your life and in your world. Raise a cry to God against the proud and wicked in the land. Today, trust God to make a way where there is no way. Proclaim His word, Pray to Him. Praise Him! Today, fight for what you desire. Speak out and step out. Negotiate! Happy 30th day.
