Day 143: The Mystery of May 23

Welcome to a new day!

FIVE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE DAY

Today Is

1. May 23 (Clear year); May 22 (Leap year).

2. The third Day of the 21st Week (May 21-27).

3. The 45th Day in Third 7 Weeks of the year (April 9 – May 27).

4. The 143rd day of the year (from January 1). In this day, this day will be called Day 143.

5. A third-season day because it is the third of the 21st week of the year. It is the game-changing day in the week.

FIVE BIBLICAL PATTERNS FOR THE DAY

There are five basic biblical patterns for this day:

1. The third day of creation (Genesis 1:9-13)

2. Psalm 143

3. Ecclesiastes 5 – 6

4. The 45th book of the Bible (Romans)

5. The third 10 books of the Bible.

1. Day 143 (or Year 143) is a third day of creation season. The third day is when the game changes. God manifested the platform called earth (dry ground) on the third day of creation. He had to move the waters sitting over the earth; to make room for the appearance of the earth and for vegetation to spring forth. From a spiritual perspective, the things that cover and limit other things, on the third day, are obstacles that should be removed. They need to be dismantled. God did the work of the third day by His word. “He spoke and it was done”. Often, in the third seasons, it is prayer that moves God to move hindering forces in our favor. If you find yourself ‘living under’ or in a terribly limiting situation in a third season, cry out to God; He will intervene. On the third day, Jonah was vomited by the fish that swallowed him because he cried out to God from the belly of the fish. Jesus was delivered from the power of the grave because he prayed when he awoke from the dead but was imprisoned in the grave. Prayer unlocks doors in the third season. It is possible the earth had groaned and cried out to God for the burden of the waters before He acted against the waters. The third season is a season of prayers.

2. Day 143 (or Year 143) is a Psalm 143 season. Psalm 143 is a cry to God for change  for change. In this psalm, the psalmist raised four prayer points before God: “Hear my prayer…Answer me speedily…Deliver me…Revive me”. For each each Prayer, he gave a reason.

1. Psalm 143:1-6 says, “HEAR MY PRAYER, O LORD, Give ear to my supplications! In Your faithfulness answer me, And in Your righteousness. [2] Do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For in Your sight no one living is righteous. [3] For the enemy has persecuted my soul; He has crushed my life to the ground; He has made me dwell in darkness, Like those who have long been dead. [4] Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me; My heart within me is distressed. [5] I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I muse on the work of Your hands. [6] I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You like a thirsty land. Selah”.

2. Psalm 143:7-8 says, “ANSWER ME SPEEDILY, O LORD; My spirit fails! Do not hide Your face from me, Lest I be like those who go down into the pit. [8] Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, FOR IN YOU DO I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You”.

3. Psalm 143:9-10 says, “DELIVER ME, O LORD, from my enemies; In You I take shelter. [10] Teach me to do Your will, FOR YOU ARE MY GOD; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness”

4. Psalm 143:11-12 says, “REVIVE ME, O LORD, for Your name’s sake! For Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. [12] In Your mercy cut off my enemies, And destroy all those who afflict my soul; FOR I AM YOUR SERVANT”.

In the 143rd season, God hears prayers, answers speedily, delivers, and revives (restores).

3. Day 143 is an Ecclesiastes 5-6 season. The third two chapters of the 21st book of the Bible are applicable to the third day of the 21st week.

The fifth chapter is a call to fear God when we open our mouths to speak and when we make decisions to act. It exhorts us to not take God for granted.

The 6th chapter looks at things that befall men:

1) having the good things of life but not the power to enjoy them; but leaving them to foreigners and strangers.

2) having family and length of years without satisfaction, proper ending, or burial.

3) the vanity of man’s life, and laboring for his mouth without satisfaction.

This chapter makes more mention of ‘man’ than any other chapter of Ecclesiastes. This is a season to remember man’s struggles before God. It is a season to awaken man to his insufficiency without God.

The fear of God advances people in the third season. Disregarding God brings men down in the third season. The third book and third chapters of the Bible bear witness to this. A third-season day like Day 143 is a time to honour God. Take the challenge!

4. Today is Ecclesiastes – Amos Day in the 21st week. Going through any week is like taking a prophetic journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The third day of the week is the third day in the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the third 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the third 10 books of the Bible (Ecclesiastes, Songs of Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel and Amos), God sent His prophets to speak to the people. They confronted the people, warned them against judgment, comforted the faithful and brought judgment on the arrogant. The third day is for the overthrow of the rebellious and establishment of the humble and just. How you fare in this season depends on your attitude and response to the word of God. This is a day of prophetic confrontation and judgment. Be sensitive to hear God and act on His word today.

5. Day 143 is a 45th book of the Bible day in the third seven weeks of the year (April 9 – May 27). The book of Romans is the 45th book of the Bible and is applicable to the 45th day in the third 49 days (seven weeks) of the year. By placement, this a game-changing book in the New Testament and entire. Ible. This is the beginning of epistles in the Bible. It is the beginning of Pauline books in the Bible. In content, it is also a game-changer. It exposes the true meaning of the death of Christ and the way of justification by grace through faith. This is a day of departure from what used to be; from convention and tradition. Be bold and courageous.

.DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. This is a day of manifestation. Do not be afraid to take a stand for the Lord. It is a season to come out of hiding and obscurity. It is a day to overthrow oppression and the oppressor. It is a day to establish the humble. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy an end to something in your life, family, business, community, and nation. Today, be ready to hear His voice and respond by faith. Expect breakthrough. Be willing to sacrifice. Walk by faith! This is a day of breakthrough and pushing through barriers in the week. This is a day of unveiling. It is a day of answers to prayers. Today, pray for the overthrow of dysfunctional systems in the nations and in the church. Pray that God will make a way for the manifestation of hidden platforms and producers. Pray also that the forgotten functional people and things be remembered, recognized, and restored. Today, remember that when God delivers and manifests, it is for service and production. Do not consume His mercy on your lust. On this third day of the week, the oppressor will go down and the humble shall be delivered. Today, decree change over situations.

Happy 143rd day of the year!
