Day 136: The Mystery of May 16

Welcome to the 136th day of the year! Day 136 is the third day of the twentieth week. It is the 38th day in the third 49 days. It is a third-season day. The 20th week is for magnifying the Lord for manifesting His glory, power, wisdom, justice, mercy, goodness, and righteousness. It is for engaging the Lord of battles. The 20th week is the week of the Lord’s battles. The 20th week is mercy-week; and it begins to manifest on the third day! This 3rd day of the 20th week is May 16 in a clear year; and May 15 in a leap year. The Bible patterns for understanding the 136th day are the third day of creation narrative, Psalm 136, and the third five chapters (11-15) of the 20th book of the Bible – Proverbs.

Day 136 is a third-day-of-creation day in the 20th week. On the third day of creation, God overthrew the waters that dominated and reigned over the dry ground. Day 136 is the Lord’s day of battle in favor of the lowly. It is a day for the lowly to experience and celebrate the intervention of God in their lives and affairs.

Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah experienced the Lord’s battle in 2 Chronicles 20:20-22:  “So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” [21] And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the LORD, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the LORD, For His mercy endures forever.” [22] Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated”.

Day 136 is a Proverbs 11-15 day in the 20th week. Wisdom and righteousness are the warriors of the 136th day. This is a day to celebrate the triumph of wisdom and righteousness.

Day 136 is a Book of Zechariah day in the third 49 days of the year. The book of Zechariah is the 38th book of the Bible; and is applicable to the 38th day in the third seven weeks of the year. The 38th book of the Bible indicate that the 38th season is a season of battle for restoration. The 38th chapters of the Bible indicate that the 38th season is a season of deliverance from death and destruction. God delivered Judah from death in Genesis 38. He delivered Hezekiah from death and added 15 years to his life in Isaiah 38. The Tabernacle is the subject of Exodus 38. Death is overthrown in the Tabernacle. In the book of Zechariah, God takes on battle against all the enemies of His people.

Day 136 is a Psalm 136 day. Psalm 136 is an exhortation in song to give thanks to the Lord for His enduring mercy – manifesting in His wonderful and gracious works. Psalm 136 shows that every act of God, and every benefit we receive or enjoy, is an expression of God’s enduring mercy; and we must be thankful for that. The phrase, “For His mercy endures forever” appears 26 times in this 26-verse psalm.

Psalm 136:1-26 says, “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. [2] Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever. [3] Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever: [4] To Him who alone does great wonders, For His mercy endures forever; [5] To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy endures forever; [6] To Him who laid out the earth above the waters, For His mercy endures forever; [7] To Him who made great lights, For His mercy endures forever- [8] The sun to rule by day, For His mercy endures forever; [9] The moon and stars to rule by night, For His mercy endures forever. [10] To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn, For His mercy endures forever; [11] And brought out Israel from among them, For His mercy endures forever; [12] With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, For His mercy endures forever; [13] To Him who divided the Red Sea in two, For His mercy endures forever; [14] And made Israel pass through the midst of it, For His mercy endures forever; [15] But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, For His mercy endures forever; [16] To Him who led His people through the wilderness, For His mercy endures forever; [17] To Him who struck down great kings, For His mercy endures forever; [18] And slew famous kings, For His mercy endures forever- [19] Sihon king of the Amorites, For His mercy endures forever; [20] And Og king of Bashan, For His mercy endures forever- [21] And gave their land as a heritage, For His mercy endures forever; [22] A heritage to Israel His servant, For His mercy endures forever. [23] Who remembered us in our lowly state, For His mercy endures forever; [24] And rescued us from our enemies, For His mercy endures forever; [25] Who gives food to all flesh, For His mercy endures forever. [26] Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven! For His mercy endures forever.

Day 136 is for celebrating the mercy of God. Today, reflect on the mercies of God in your life, family, work, vocation, studies, relationships, or nation; and give Him thanks for it. Giving thanks to God for His enduring mercy is key to possibilities on this game-changing day of the 20th week.

Day 136 is Ecclesiastes  – Amos day in the 20th week. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. The first four days of the week is like going through the Old Testament. The last three days is the New Testament side of the week. The third day of the week expresses the third ten books of the Bible. The third 10 books of the Bible begin with Ecclesiastes and ends with the book of Amos. The books of the major prophets belong to this section of the Bible. The prophets represent the prevailing Voice of God. God spoke through them. They were to awaken the nations from slumber. They also brought destructive judgments on rebellious people. God speaks to recruit and send men on the third day. This third day of the week is a time to give attention to the game-changing Voice of God.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. This is a day of manifestation. Do not be afraid to take a stand for the Lord. It is a season to come out of hiding and obscurity. It is a day to overthrow oppression and the oppressor. It is a day to establish the humble. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy an end to something in your life, family, business, community, and nation. Today, be ready to hear His voice and respond by faith. Expect breakthrough. Be willing to sacrifice. Walk by faith! This is a day of breakthrough and pushing through barriers in the week. This is a day of unveiling. It is a day of answers to prayers. Today, pray for the overthrow of dysfunctional systems in the nations and in the church. Pray that God will make a way for the manifestation of hidden platforms and producers. Pray also that the forgotten functional people and things be remembered, recognized, and restored. Today, remember that when God delivers and manifests, it is for service and production. Do not consume His mercy on your lust. On this third day of the week, the oppressor will go down and the humble shall be delivered. Happy 136th day!
