Welcome to the 134th day of the year! Day 134 is the first day of the 20th week. It is the 36th day of the third 7 weeks or third 49 days of the year. It is also the first day of the sixth week in the third 7 weeks of the year. This is May 14 in a clear year; and May 13 in a leap year. The Bible key for understanding Day 134 are the first day of creation narrative, Psalm 134, the 36th book and chapters of the Bible, and the first four chapters of the twentieth book of the Bible.
Day 134 is a first day of creation day in the 20th week. It is a first-season day. It is the beginning of a new week. The first is for God – whether it is the beginning of the day, week, month, year or fruitfulness. Genesis begins with “In the beginning, God…” Moses commanded Israel that the first-fruits and everything that opens the womb is the Lord’s. He is the beginning and the beginning is His. So, God should be our special focus on the first day of the week. On the first day of creation, God manifested Himself by creating light. God is Light. We are called the sons of Light; and He is the Father of lights. Every first season is for the manifestation of light; because darkness seeks to hold sway in this season. Since God is light, our duty is to line up with Him in this season. Put Him first. Obey His voice. Honor Him.
Day 134 is a Proverbs 1-5 day in the 20th week. The first section of the 20th book of the Bible is applicable to the first day of the 20th week. This portion of the book encourages the reader to seek knowledge, wisdom,. and understanding. It tell us that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. The third chapter is a guide to the benefits of trusting and honoring the Lord.
Day 134 is a 36th book and 36th chapters of the Bible day in the third 49 days of the year. The 36th book and chapters of the Bible are applicable to the 36th day in the third 49 says. Genesis 36 is about Esau. It is a diversion from Jacob whose story had dominated Genesis 28-35. Giving the entire 36th chapter to Esau, in the middle of Jacob’s story shows how darkness seeks to dominate the 36th season. In Second Chronicles 36, Babylon overran Judah and Jerusalem. In Isaiah 36, Sennacherib, out of nowhere, marches against Judah to harass her in the days of Hezekiah. In Jeremiah 36, Jehoiakim, king of Judah destroyed Jeremiah’s scroll because of the judgments written on it against Judah. That was darkness warring against light. Jeremiah had the scroll rewritten with additions; and also pronounced curses on the King of Judah. The 36th book of the Bible, Zephaniah is about disasters. We can avert the the disaster of the 36th season if we turn the season over to the Lord – as a first-season. God is first and the first belongs to Him. Today, let us keep darkness away with light. Darkness is not a force; it is just the absence of light.
Day 134 is a Psalm 134 day. Psalm 134 is the first of the 20th seven psalms; and it focuses on the Lord. This three-verse psalm says, “Behold, bless the LORD, All you servants of the LORD, Who by night stand in the house of the LORD! [2] Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the LORD. [3] The LORD who made heaven and earth Bless you from Zion!”
Twice in this passage (in the first and second verses), we are exhorted to bless the Lord. This psalm mentions ‘the Lord’ five times. The first verse, alone, makes three references to the Lord – “Bless the Lord…Servant’s of the Lord…the House of the Lord”. This psalm closes, at the third verse, with an invocation that the Lord who made heaven and earth blesses us from Zion.
Blessing ought to run like a cycle. God blessed us in creation and redemption – We are to bless God in worship and service – As we do, God blesses us with peace, grace, and wisdom. Psalm 134 applies to Day 134 as a first-season day; and shows us how to turn a 36th day into a God-day. If you bless the Lord on the first day, He turns to bless your week from His abode. If you disregard Him on the first day, you are giving way for the enemy to dominate your week. If you bless Him at night, your darkness will turn to light. If you bless Him in the day, your light would be brighter.
Day 134 is a Genesis – Second Samuel day in the 20th week. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. The first four days of the week is like going through the Old Testament. The last three days is the New Testament side of the week. The first day of the week expresses the first ten books of the Bible. God revealed Himself in this section of the Bible and also sought to have a representative among men. In the first chapter of Genesis, He made man in His image and likeness to be His channel of expression. In Second Samuel, David (the man after His heart) became king. In this section of the Bible, God also struggled with His chosen channels. Day 134 is for cooperating and coming into alignment with the Maker.
DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the collapse and end of expressions and manifestations of darkness in your life and world. Decree that expressions of light will triumph in this first day of the week. Today, make a quality decision to receive the word of the Lord and act on it without fear or doubts. Make a quality decision to walk in unconditional love. This is a day of sacrificial (tough) love. Today, take time to hear from God. Do not act without His direction. Follow what He says or shows. Today, seek the Lord against disasters in the week as you come into alignment. Call upon Him for mercy.! This is the beginning of your week of hearing, receiving, and following divine instructions. Put the Lord first and bless His name. Happy Day 134!
