Day 105: The Mystery of April 15

0

Welcome to the 105th day of the year! Day 105 is the seventh and last day of the fifteenth week. It is also the seventh day (end of the first week) in the third 49 days of the year. Day 105 is a seventh season day. It is April 15 in a clear year; and April 14 in a leap year. The Bible patterns for understanding Day 105 are the seventh day of creation narrative, Psalm 105, and the last four chapters (seventh section) of the fifteenth book of the Bible.

Day 105 is a seventh day of creation day. The seventh day of creation was a work-free day for God. He rested on that day; not because He was tired but to institute the seventh day as a season of rest for mankind – a season to end toils and struggles. God appoints salvation and deliverance for man in the seventh season. When God rested on the seventh day, it was not to take a vacation or holiday from work; but to enact that man would rest from suffering in the seventh season. A work-free season is a time to look back and reflect. It is a day of settling to enjoy the work, tell stories, evaluate, make corrections, or deliver judgment. God also blessed and hallowed the seventh day. He made it a holy day – separate from the other days. The seventh day is therefore consecrated to God. It is a day of seeking His pleasure or returning to Him in repentance.

Day 105 is a Psalm 105 day. Psalm 105 is a recount of Israel’s history from God’s covenant with Abraham to Israel’s settlement in Canaan. The goal of recounting Israel’s history in this chapter is to get the people’s mind on God’s faithfulness. Day 105 is remembrance and reflection day. Psalm 105:1-45 says it all:

A. WONDERFUL, COVENANT-KEEPING GOD: [1] Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! [2] Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! [3] Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! [4] Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore! [5] Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth, [6] O seed of Abraham His servant, You children of Jacob, His chosen ones! [7] He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth. [8] He remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,

B. ABRAHAM, ISAAC, AND JACOB: [9] The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac, [10] And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant, [11] Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan As the allotment of your inheritance,” [12] When they were few in number, Indeed very few, and strangers in it. [13] When they went from one nation to another, From one kingdom to another people, [14] He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, [15] Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.”

C. JOSEPH: [16] Moreover He called for a famine in the land; He destroyed all the provision of bread. [17] He sent a man before them- Joseph-who was sold as a slave. [18] They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. [19] Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him. [20] The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free. [21] He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his possessions, [22] To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his elders wisdom. [23] Israel also came into Egypt, And Jacob dwelt in the land of Ham.

D. MOSES: [24] He increased His people greatly, And made them stronger than their enemies. [25] He turned their heart to hate His people, To deal craftily with His servants. [26] He sent Moses His servant, And Aaron whom He had chosen. [27] They performed His signs among them, And wonders in the land of Ham. [28] He sent darkness, and made it dark; And they did not rebel against His word. [29] He turned their waters into blood, And killed their fish. [30] Their land abounded with frogs, Even in the chambers of their kings. [31] He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, And lice in all their territory. [32] He gave them hail for rain, And flaming fire in their land. [33] He struck their vines also, and their fig trees, And splintered the trees of their territory. [34] He spoke, and locusts came, Young locusts without number, [35] And ate up all the vegetation in their land, And devoured the fruit of their ground. [36] He also destroyed all the firstborn in their land, The first of all their strength. [37] He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes. [38] Egypt was glad when they departed, For the fear of them had fallen upon them. [39] He spread a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light in the night. [40] The people asked, and He brought quail, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven. [41] He opened the rock, and water gushed out; It ran in the dry places like a river. [42] For He remembered His holy promise, And Abraham His servant. [43] He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness.

E. JOSHUA: He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, And they inherited the labor of the nations, [45] That they might observe His statutes And keep His laws. Praise the LORD!

Psalm 105 is a recount and reflection on the faithfulness of God. He make promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; followed it up, and fulfilled it to their descendants. Retelling our stories keeps us humble, grateful, and focused. If we forget where we are coming from, it’s a sign if we’ve forgotten where we’re going. Our heart should overflow with gratitude and pour out loyalty to the Faithful God. The greatest response to faithfulness is loyalty.

Day 105 is an Ezra 10 day. This seventh section of the fifteenth book of the Bible is applicable to the seventh day of the fifteenth week. The tenth chapter is about is given to confession of sins, and repentance for those who had married foreign wives. Ezra took the lead and the people joined him in confession and repentance. The people renewed covenant with God and decided to separate themselves from their abominations and errors. This is not a day to sin more but a day to repent more. We cannot walk in unfaithfulness before the One who has been faithful to us.

Day 105 is a Hebrews – Revelation day in the 15th week. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. Every week also has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The seventh day of the week is the third and last day in the New Testament side of the week; and expresses the third nine books of the New Testament. Today is a day of the last battle and ultimate triumph in the week. The third 9 books of the N.T are books of correction, judgment, recovery, and restoration. The Titanic sank in the early hours of April 15, 1912 after striking an iceberg; killing 1500 passengers.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy and declare war against the enemies of God. Today, raise a cry against wickedness; trust in the Lord, hope in Him, and take refuge in His grace and mercy. Today, prophesy restoration and blessing on God’s people because of the finished work; and prophesy against ungodliness. This is a day of “IT IS DONE”. Today, you will have pleasure by seeking the pleasure of God. Today, make it priority to honor God. Obey Him. If you missed it anywhere, repent and return to God. This is a day to go back to Bethel. Today, is a day to celebrate freedom from struggles and review our journey with the faithful God. It is a day of returning to God. All we can give to faithfulness is loyalty. Happy 105th day.
