The First Week of the Year (January 1-7)

Welcome to the first week of the year. The first week of the year is often a continuation of the last week of the old year – per the days of the week. It does not always begin on the traditional ‘first day of the day of the week’. It is, however, a new beginning; because it always begins with the first day of the year. This week is a global new beginning. The challenge is that whereas God wants to turn an end into a new beginning, the enemy wants to turn the new beginning to an end. Is it not a surprise that many new things begin on the last day of the year while many things – including lives – end at the beginning of a new year. It is a mystery.

The first week of the year is a core first season week. It is the nucleus of the first seven weeks of the year. The Bible patterns for understanding the first week of the year are 1) the first day of creation narrative; 2) the first book and first chapters of the Bible; 3) the first seven books of the Bible.

The first week of the year is a first day of creation week. On the day first day of creation, God made light, contained darkness, and instituted time. Day and night began on the first day of creation. The first week of the year is the time to begin the work of the year. As God began with light, begin the work of the year with the introduction of the ‘light of the year’. God is light. His word is light. Knowledge is light. Righteousness is light. Begin the year by giving God His place in your life. God is First and the first belongs to Him. After creating light, God instituted time. Begin the work of the year with planning time. Give time to things. Lay the foundation for the use of time in the year.

The first week is a book of Genesis week in the First 49 days of the year. Every thing that pertains to the first seven weeks of the year also applies to the first week of the year as a seven day season. The first week of the year is for honoring the Lord – through receiving His word and acting on it. The book of Genesis is book of divine initiatives. The first 49 days of the year is for initiatives the year’s moves; and the first week is the time to start. The book of Genesis was intended to be a record of God’s new beginning, the devil sought to make it and end. The end of God’s life in man; the end of man’s residence in the Garden of Eden; the end of humanity, the end man’s one language, the end nations, and the end of God’s fellowship with man.

The first week of the year is a Genesis 1-7 week. What happened in Genesis 1-7? It is the beginning and end of the old humanity. In Genesis 1, God created time, space, land sea, vegetation, luminaries, sea creatures, birds, land animals, and man. In Genesis 2, the story of creation continued with life in the Garden, the naming of animals, and the institution of marriage. In Genesis 3, man sinned against God, died spiritually, and was driven out of the Garden. Genesis 4 is the story of life outside the Garden: the first, second, and third births occur Cain, Abel, and Seth; the first murder occurs with Cain killing Abel; a curse is placed on Cain. Genesis 5 is a record of the first human race – where men lived hundreds of years before death. Enoch lived 365 years and departed the earth without dying. His son, Methuselah, lived longer than any other man; 969 years! In Genesis 6, God regretted making man and vowed to wipe of humanity because of their wickedness. Noah found favor before God and was instructed to build the Ark of safety from the flood. In Genesis 7, humanity perished in the flood. Only, his family, and the animals they took with them were saved.

The first week of the year is a Genesis-to-Judges week. The first seven books of the Bible are applicable to the first seven days of the year. In the book of Genesis, God created the universe and man. In the same book, God began to form a nation from Abraham’s family. From the book of Exodus, Israel became a distinct nation. In the book of Joshua, God gave the land of Canaan to Abraham’s descendants for possession and inheritance. God intended that Israel would be His “Let there be light” to the world. From the book of Judges, Israel began to turn away from God. Disasters and oppressions followed.

The first week of the year is a Genesis to Second Samuel season in the first first 49 days of the year. The first ten books of the Bible began with Adam and ended with David. It began with the man God made in His image and ended with the man after God’s heart. It is a season of representation. It is a season to be preoccupied with God. It is a time to touch God’s heart through alignment with His plans and purposes. It is for those who know God is First and put Him first. It is also a season rebellion against God and against good. This is when the devil tempts men to recruit them to disregard God and live independently. He wants them to focus on themselves instead of focusing on the Creator. Those who yield to the temptation of the devil inadvertently make themselves enemies of God. This can become a season of blessing or cursing; a season of mercy or wrath.

The first week of the year is a week of beginnings and endings. It is a documented fact that the deadliest season of any year is the first week of the year. The happenings of the the first week have a great impact in the year. In this week of 2020, on the third day of the week, the US killed a top Iranian General, Qasmen Soleimani, in a targeted air-strike near Iraqi airport. Iran vowed ‘severe revenge’ and the US threatened to do more harm. That was a week of pain for Iran and a week of fear and anxiety, over war, for the world.

PRAYERS FOR THE FIRST WEEK

Thank you, Father, for leading me through the past year into this new year. I am here today because you made it happen.

O Father, let this first week of the year be a a week of new things that will last.

O Father, deliver me from seeking my own will and from going my own way in this week. Help me to pursue your will without distractions or falling into temptations.

O Father, grant me grace to stay humble before you and be open to corrections from your word or from people speaking in your name.

O Father, grant me grace to walk with you by faith; because without faith it is impossible to please God; and two cannot work together unless they agree. Lead me to escape falling into the grave of this week.

O Father, have mercy on me, with respect to any sin, failure, shortcoming, or fault, in my life. For give me and cleanse me from every uncleanliness.

O Father, save me from the disasters of this week. Let me not become victim of judgment or divine displeasure. Let the name and blood of Jesus speak for me this week.

This week, may the Lord grant you a smooth take-off in the year. Happy first week of the year.

Ten Features of the Third Season

Which season is the third season? It’s the third hour, day, week, month, year, experience. It relates also to the third child, job, residence, leader, and so on. Every ‘third’ is in it. Here are ten things I found about the third season.

1. THE DEFINING SEASON

The things that happen in the third season determine the course of the future. Jesus is the third after Abraham and David (Matthew 1:1). The Holy Spirit is the third member of the Godhead.

2. THE SEASON OF CHANGE IN FOCUS

The season of the third is for a shift in attention. On the third day of creation, attention shifted from the waters and darkness to the earth that had no place until that day. In ‘the third week’ of this century, focus and attention is going to shift from the west.

3. SEASON OF THE LAST BATTLE AGAINST OPPRESSION

On the third day of creation, God gathered the waters under the firmament (heaven) together and commanded dry ground to appear. the battle against the waters began on the second day with the creation of the firmament. On the third day, the waters were gathered together, named, and given boundaries. The proud and oppressor cannot go beyond the third season. The powers that have dominated the scene are about to give way; and they will give way in ‘the third week’.

4. SEASON OF VICTORY

The battle against the waters was in favor of the earth. The earth had been under the waters from the beginning; but on the third day, it gained victory, freedom, and independence. The season of the third is for lifting off heavy burdens. The burden of waters on the earth was lifted on the third day. The season of the third is season of victory for the oppressed.

5. SEASON OF EXPOSURE, DISCOVERY, OR MANIFESTATION

The season of the third is for manifestation. That was when the earth (dry ground) appeared. God did not say, “let there be dry ground” because the ground was already there. What He said was, “let dry ground appear”. The third is when the hidden and obscure are made manifest. This is the season and hour of the hidden and obscure – nations, cities, organizations, institutions, communities, ministries, families, and individuals.

6. SEASON OF RELEASE OR FREEDOM

The season of the third is for birthing. The earth was ‘born’ on the third day of creation. The earth also gave birth, brought forth vegetation, on the third day. The waters gave way for the earth; and the earth, in turn, made way for seeds hidden within her. The season of the third is when you are expected to manifest and bring forth what you have, hidden, in you. Every century manifests itself and brings forth in the season of ‘the third week’. The first two weeks are preparatory seasons. This is the season for the 21st century to bring forth. The season of the third is the season of new life! That is when things that had been buried are raised to new life.

7. SEASON OF THE EMERGENCE OF SUSTENANCE

The earth is a sustainer; so, the season of the third is when solid hope or sustenance is born. The third week of the twenty-first century is for bringing forth sustenance. After the appearance of the earth, it dominated the scene and became the ‘centerpiece’ of creation. The ruler of all creation was made from the earth. Vegetation, the food and medicine of man and animals was brought forth on the third day. The third week of the 21st century is a season of a multi-dimensional breakthroughs that will bring sustenance, dominate the scene, and shape the future. It is the season of the emergence of sustainers and sustenance.

8. SEASON OF RESPONSIBILITY AND CONTRIBUTION

The season of the third is a time of responsibility and contribution. On the third day of creation, after the earth appeared, she also became God’s first created partner in creation. The earth brought forth vegetation at the command of God. One great purpose of the breakthrough of the third season is contribution.

9. IT IS A SEASON OF TEMPTATION AND TRIAL

The third season is a season to watch carefully. It comes with major temptations. It is a season when you seek or desire assert yourself as it happens to mid-teens and young adults. Abraham’s temptation to take Hagar came within the third seven chapters of Genesis. The temptation and fall of man is recorded in Genesis 3. The trial of the Hebrew young men in Babylon is recorded in the third chapter of Daniel. From our consideration of the third seven chapters of the books of the Bible, we see that the third season is not an easy time for the leadership.

10. IT IS A SEASON FOR THE REVELATION OF IDENTITY AND PURPOSE

Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind.

On third day of creation, God spoke about herbs and trees bringing forth according to their identity or kinds.

ABRAHAM AND SARAH

God gave Abraham and Sarah new identity in the seventeenth chapter of Genesis. Seventeen is third of the third-seven.

“As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. Then God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be from her.” (Genesis 17:4-6, 15, 16 NKJV)

MOSES

God called Moses to his identity and purpose in the third chapter of Exodus.

SAMUEL

God called Samuel to his life-work in the third chapter of First Samuel. Samuel rises to take the place of his boss, Eli, the priest.

JOHN THE BAPTIST

The identity of John was revealed to him in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar. The fifteenth is first of the third-seven.

Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea and the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene, while Annas and Caiaphas were high priests, the word of God came to John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. And he went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight. Every valley shall be filled And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough ways smooth; And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.’ ” (Luke 3:1-6 NKJV).

JESUS

The spiritual identity of Jesus is revealed in the third chapters of Matthew and Luke.

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16, 17 NKJV).

When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:21, 22 NKJV)

JESUS: SON OF GOD OR SON OF ADAM

In the gospel according to Matthew, the genealogy of Jesus is given in the first chapter and traced to Abraham. In the gospel according to Luke, the genealogy of Jesus is recorded in the third chapter; right after the declaration of His identity from heaven; and traced to Adam ‘the son of God’.

Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Janna, the son of Joseph, the son of Mattathiah, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai, the son of Maath, the son of Mattathiah, the son of Semei, the son of Joseph, the son of Judah, the son of Joannas, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri, the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmodam, the son of Er, the son of Jose, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonan, the son of Eliakim, the son of Melea, the son of Menan, the son of Mattathah, the son of Nathan, the son of David, the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon, the son of Amminadab, the son of Ram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah, the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor, the son of Serug, the son of Reu, the son of Peleg, the son of Eber, the son of Shelah, the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech, the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalel, the son of Cainan, the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God. (Luke 3:23-38 NKJV).

The religious world thinks Adam is the son of God but revealed to Jesus that He is the Son of God. The revelation of identity is a personal word; not a public announcement. Jesus alone heard the voice from heaven, believed what He heard, and lived in light of the revelation. His life made men believe He is the Son of God. God is not going to tell the whole world who you are. He will tell you who you are; and leave you to tell or show the world that you believe God’s word to you.

IDENTITY AND NOMENCLATURE

Define yourself by who you are – not what you do. In the previous prophetic generation believers defined themselves by their gifts, assignments, or offices. We took pride in being called evangelist, pastor, prophet, apostle, bishop, and so on. Your title is not the same as who you are. Your title is what you are called (for whatever reason); but your identity is who you are. Titles are nomenclatures. In the present move of God, the emphasis is not on your work or title but on who we are. We are sons of God. We are the temple and house of God. We are the image of God on earth. The seeds or fruits we bear must be according to our kind. We are God-kind.

YOUR TIME HAS COME!

A move of God is about to break forth from dry ground. This move of God is going to birth productive sustainers – believers who will manifest grace as sons God and expressions of divinity. The products of this move of God will be a people with identity. To produce after your kind, you must be of a kind. You are God-kind.

1. Get prepared and ready for exposure

2. Come out of hiding – take away the garments of shyness and timidity.

3. Begin to look inside – you have so much in you to give others

4. Bring forth what is inside. Do not seek to be given; seek to give.

5. Network with others from your point of strength. You also need others to promote you.

6. Spend time with God in the secret. God is the One that raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the beggar from the dunghill. It is a season of fruitfulness. Women conceive and give birth in secret chambers.

Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the third day. (Genesis 1:9-13 NKJV).

The ‘Eighth 7 Weeks’ of the Year

Every year has 52 full weeks. After the 7th seven weeks of the year, there are only 3 full weeks to the end of year. The last three weeks of the year belongs to an eighth season in the year. That is the reason this post is titled The ‘Eighth 7 Weeks’ of the Year. This 8th season of the year does not have up to 7 weeks. The 8 is a new beginning. It is a season to move and break new ground.

In the 8th book of the Bible, Elimelech’s family moved to Moab because of famine; but found life extremely adverse. Survival is primary in the eighth season.

In the 8th chapter of Second Kings, the woman of Shunem relocated from Israel because of famine.

In Acts 8, many believers moved from Jerusalem because of persecution and hardship. Life can be tough in the eighth season. The believers scattered to other regions. Philip went to Samaria and preached Jesus Christ there.

In Revelation 8, the first four trumpet judgments began and devastated vegetation, water, and marine life, and the luminaries.

Genesis 8 states the mind of God for the eight season:

Genesis 8:20-22: “Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. [21] And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. [22] “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”

If you honor the Lord in the eighth season, He will separate you from lack and destruction.

THE MYSTERY OF THE 4TH, 8TH, AND 22ND

The numbered positions – 4th, 8th, and 22nd, often speak of ‘the end’ and ‘new beginning’.

When a book of the Bible (or a numbered/dated season) ends with the 4th (or fourth seven), 8th (or eighth seven), or 22nd (or 22nd seven) chapter, that ‘end’ speaks of a new beginning.

1. Six books of the Bible that end at the fourth chapter are Ruth, Jonah, Malachi, Philippians, Colossians, Second Timothy. Books of the Bible that end at the fourth seven: Leviticus (27), Second Samuel (24), First Kings (22), Second Kings (25), Revelation (22), Matthew (28), Luke (24), Acts (28).

2. Books of the Bible that end at the eighth chapter: Song of Songs. Books of the Bible that end at the eighth seven: Genesis (50), Jeremiah (52).

3. Books of the Bible that end at the 22nd chapter: First Kings, Revelation. Books of the Bible that end at the 22nd seven: Psalm (150).

The Seventh 7 Weeks of the Year (October 22 – December 9)

There are seven 7 weeks in the year and a remainder of 22 or 23 days. The seventh 49 days (seven weeks) of the year (weeks 43-49) is ‘the Sabbath’ of the year. This is not a call to keep the Sabbath as was done under the Old Covenant. It is a call to enter into the rest that the Sabbath means. The seventh season is distinct from the first six seasons. God always separates the seventh from the rest. If you have a seventh child in your family, have lived in a seventh residence, worked a seventh job, you can bear witness to this.

THE SEVENTH DAY OF CREATION

The events of six days of creation is recorded in the first chapter of Genesis; but what God did on the seventh day is recorded in the seventh chapter. Israel marched around Jericho once each day for six days but on the seventh day, they marched around Jericho seven times. The seventh seven books of the Bible (John, Acts, Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians) are application books. In the book Revelation, there is an interlude between the sixth and seventh seals and between the sixth and seventh trumpets. Under the Law of Moses, God gave Israel special rules about the seventh day, seventh month, seventh year, and seventh week of years. What is so special about the seventh?

1. God sanctified the seventh day. The sanctify a thing is to keep separate and set apart for a definite holy use. God made the seventh day holy – set apart for God. Although every day is holy, the seventh is a uniquely holy by divine ordination. The seventh seven years of the must not be treated casually.

2. God ended the work of creation on the seventh day and rested. The seventh seven weeks is a season of rest in the year. It is a season to bring people into rest by breaking their yokes and removing their burdens. We enter into rest by trusting God and ceasing from our sweaty efforts. The Lord ushers people into rest by taking their problems and burdens away. You cannot rest with burdens and yokes. The seventh 49 days of the year are for ending yokes.

3. God blessed the seventh day. No other day of the week is so blessed. God blessed His creation on the fifth and sixth days of creation. On the seventh day, He blessed the day; BECAUSE He rested in it. The seventh is blessed. Entering a seventh season is entering a blessed season. The seventh seven weeks of the year are blessed weeks.

Knowing and understanding the mind of God for the seventh season guides you to line up with God.

(a). Make it priority to please God in this season. It is a season of God’s pleasure. Focus on what God wants instead of what you want. Repent of wrong things in your life and give them up.

(b). If the enemy has thrown anything at you, cry out to God for rest; that your yokes be destroyed and your burdens lifted. Cry out against oppression.

(c). Walk in the blessing of the season by following God. Do not attract curses to yourself or turn your life into a battle ground by living in rebellion against God; as it happened to Israel in the seventh book of the Bible.

THE SEVENTH BOOK OF THE BIBLE

The book of Judges is the seventh book of the Bible. It is one of the two books that end at the 21st chapter. The other book is the Gospel according to John. Judges is the last of the first seven books of the Bible. John is the first of the seventh seven books of the Bible. The 21st signifies ‘realization’. The 21st season is when dreams become reality. The book of Judges shows that the seventh season is a season of realization. That is when prayers are answered. That is when dreams are realized. Israel did not realize her dreams in the seventh book of the Bible; but she did receive great help. There were 12 recognized deliverers in the book of Judges – Othniel, Ehud, Shamgar, Deborah, Gideon, Tola, Jair, Jephthah, Ibzan, Elon, Abdon, and Samson.

Each week of the seventh seven weeks will be an expression of three chapters of the seventh book of the Bible. The first three chapters for the 43rd week; the second three chapters is for the 44th week; and so on.

SEVENTH 7 BOOKS OF THE BIBLE

The seventh seven books of the Bible are John, Acts, Romans, First Corinthians, Second Corinthians, Galatians, and Ephesians. They are all books of the finished work. Jesus is revealed in these books. They are the application of what Jesus taught and did. In John, Jesus (the Son of God) is the all things of God for all needs of man. In this book, the Jesus of the gospel is revealed. He is the Multifaceted Answer from heaven. In Acts, the Holy Spirit is revealed as the director of the operations of God. The 43rd week is a Book of John week. The 44th week is a Book of Acts week. The 45th week is a Book of Romans week. The 46th week is a Book of First Corinthians week. The 47th week is a Book of Second Corinthians week. The 48th week is a Book of Galatians week. The 49th week is a book of Ephesians week.

SEVENTH CHAPTERS OF THE BIBLE

The seventh chapters of the Bible reveal that God comes in the seventh season to shut the mouths of mockers and doubters. It is God’s action season. The flood came in Genesis 7. The plagues started in Exodus 7. Achan was fished out and stoned in Joshua 7. Gideon fought and defeated a great army with only 300 soldiers in Judges 7. Thunder and lightning scattered the Philistines as Samuel offered sacrifice and prayed in First Samuel 7. Elisha helped Samaria by a prophetic word that changed things within 24 hours in Second Kings 7. In Luke 7, Jesus healed the Centurion’s servant and raised the only son of a widow from the dead.

PRAYERS FOR THE SEVENTH SEVEN WEEKS

Against Backsliding: O Lord, keep from turning from you, to seek help where there is no help, because of pressures or pleasures.

2. Against Oppression: O Lord, deliver me from the oppression that is too strong for me.

3. Against Confusion: Deliver me from confusion in my body, in my family, in my compound, in my job or business, in the church, and in the nation.

4. For Forgiveness: O Lord have mercy on me and forgive me from errors that would count against me.

5. For Realization of Dreams: O Lord, as it happened at Jericho, for Naaman, and for people that Jesus healed on the seventh day, let this seventh seven weeks of the year be a season of expectations come true.

6. For JUDGES and DELIVERERS: God’s provision for the 7th season is a judge; who would judge the people and their enemies. O Lord, send me Judges, as you did in the seventh book of the Bible, to help me against the adversaries of this season.

May God send you help, and also use you to help others, in a way that will silence doubters and mockers in this season. Happy seventh 49 days.

The Sixth 7 Weeks of the Year (September 3 – October 21)

The sixth 49 days of the year begins this week, September 3 and will end October 21. The sixth 49 days of the year (weeks 36-42) represents a major sixth season in the year. What does the Bible reveal about this intermediate sixth season? The key to understanding the sixth season are 1) the story of creation on the sixth day; 2) the sixth book of the Bible; 3) the sixth chapters of the Bible; 4) the sixth seven books of the Bible, and 5), the sixth seven chapters of the Bible. I will share a few things about this season from the sixth day of creation narrative, the sixth book of the Bible, and the sixth seven books of the Bible; and trust the Lord to help you read and make applications:

A. The sixth 49 days is a sixth day of creation season. God did four things on the sixth day; and each of those things have implications.

1. On the sixth day of creation, God made land-animals and formed man’s body from dry ground. The sixth season is, therefore, a land and dry-ground season. The sixth season is for losing or possessing lands and possessions. It is when disasters rob the ground of her possessions. Since God looked in the direction of the dry ground in the sixth season of creation, it means that the evil one thinks famine, flood, earthquake, hurricane, fire, and other disasters, for the dry ground – to devastate and rob her. The Brazil Museum fire disaster that happened on September 2 was the news that opened the sixth 49 days of 2018. The 9/11 WTC disaster happened in the sixth 49 days of 2001. As the dry ground brought forth living creatures for God on the sixth day, the kingdom of darkness wants living creatures to fall on dry ground and perish in the sixth season. This is a season to pray against destructive disasters.

2. God blessed man with fruitfulness and multiplication and commanded man the subdue the earth and rule the other living creatures. Note that it is from the creatures of the sixth day that rebellion against God came into the earth and continues to happen. So, the sixth season is when rebels appear; and that is also when rebels are crushed. The sixth season is a season of heaven’s reaction against rebellion. The sixth season is for subduing rebellion against God. As God made man on the sixth day to represent Him, Satan also seeks and recruits men to do his work in sixth seasons. In this sixth 49 days, therefore, you take a stand against, and subdue, things that oppose the counsel of God in your life. You must also remove yourself from the camp of rebels and plead the mercy of God over your life and all yours. The sixth season is a season of fruitfulness and multiplication. Genesis 6 opens with men multiplying on earth. Acts 6 opens with multiplication in the church.

3. God made the last creatures on the sixth day. The sixth season is for finishing all work – in preparation for rest in the seventh season. He did not create anything on the seventh day. He also instituted for man that work must end on the sixth day of the week; and in the sixth year of every seven years. In this sixth 49 days of the year, you must rise up to work; and give no room to slothfulness. Don’t kill yourself with work. Just take on things that need finishing; and see them finished. Whether it is the overthrow and displacement of the wicked, the possessing of your inheritance, the creation and production of your masterpiece for the year, or the generation of life and sustenance from your spirit. Let the work be done in this season! Walk and work by faith.

4. The sixth season is for special Creator-creature communication. It is a prayer season. Jesus taught His disciples in Matthew 6; and the apostles affirmed their commitment to prayer in Acts 6. Prayer is communion with God. The sixth day was the first time God communicated deeply with His creation. This sixth 49 days, give yourself to prayer and let ears be open towards Heaven to receive guidance concerning your purpose and provisions. Firstly, God spoke to man concerning his work. He blessed man to be fruitful and multiply; to fill the earth and subdue it; to have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” The sixth season is a time to work with a fruitfulness and multiplication mindset. It is also a time to work to subdue and have dominion. The sixth chapter of Proverbs shows that the sixth season is a time to kick out laziness and work.

Secondly, He spoke to man concerning his food and what the other creatures would eat. Genesis 1:29-30 says, “And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so.” God gives food to men in the sixth season. In Genesis 6:21, God said to Noah, “And you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to yourself; and it shall be food for you and for them.”. In the sixth book of the Bible, He planted Israel in a land that flows with milk and honey; to eat bread without scarceness. In Judges 6, Gideon was harvesting crops and hiding them from the Midianites. In Second Kings 6, there was famine in Israel and two women pledged to cook and eat their children. Earlier in the chapter, Israel made a great feast for Syrian soldiers that Elisha made blind. Proverbs 6 directs the lazy man to go to ants and learn how they gather their food. Food is important in the sixth season. In Matthew 6, Jesus taught us ask the Father to give us our daily bread; and to not worry about what to eat or drink. In Mark 6, Jesus fed multitudes with five loaves and two fish. In the sixth chapter of John, Jesus fed multitudes and introduced Himself as the bread of life. In the sixth chapter of Acts, the deacons were appointed to serve tables and distribute food to widows. First Timothy 6 says we should be content with having food and raiment. It is a curse to be without food and necessities in the sixth season. Revelation 6:6 says, “And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”

Herbs represent the Word of God that heals. The sixth season is a time to prosper or be sustained through the word of God or divine instructions. It is a season of special divine guidance. The word is man’s food in the sixth season. That is the reason God said man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. That is also the reason God told Joshua the word of God shall not depart from his mouth in the sixth book of the Bible.

B. The sixth 49 days is a book of Joshua season. Joshua is the sixth book of the Bible. In this book, God gave Israel the Land He Promised their Fathers. They overcame barriers and fought their enemies through divine guidance; and took possession the land of the Canaanites. The sixth 49 days is the time to lay hold on the Promised Land of the year. It is the season to come into, and settle in, the inheritance for the year. May the Lord make it so for you. In this season, I pray you will not be like the Canaanites who lost their lands, possessions, and lives, in the sixth book of the Bible. As the seed of Abraham, this sixth season is not for losses but for gains; it is not for defeat but for victories.

C. The sixth 49 days is a sixth-seven-books-of-the-Bible season. The sixth seven books of the Bible are Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, Matthew, Mark, and Luke. In the sixth seven books of the Bible, the Old Testament ends and the New Testament begins. In the sixth 49 days of the year, the Old Testament stories of the year will end and the New Testament of the year will begin. The sixth seven books of the Bible are about judgment and mercy. May the mercy of God overtake judgment in this season. The Savior and Messiah appeared within the sixth seven book of the Bible to fulfill prophecies, manifest God among men, heal the sick, deliver the oppressed, raise the dead, and preach the good news. Welcome to the fifth 49 days of the year! Blessed be God who lead you safely through the wilderness of the fourth 49 days. The fifth 49 days constitutes the fifth prophetic week of weeks in the year. It is a broad (seven-week long) fifth season. This season includes half of the month of July (16 days), the entire month of August, and the first two days in September. It also begins with The Three Weeks of the ‘Dire Straits’ that ends with’ the 9th of Av’ commemorating the destruction of the first and second temple. The fifth 49 days of the year is a fifth day of creation season, God turned to the waters and away from dry ground because an unmanned (spiritually unprotected) fifth season is a season of drought and dryness. He caused the waters to abound with abundance of living (moving) creatures because an unmanned fifth season is a season of scarcity and stagnation. He blessed His creation with fruitfulness and multiplication because an unmanned fifth season is a season of curses bringing barrenness and decimation. He made the fish to live and move freely in water; and the birds to fly freely above the earth and the waters; because an unmanned fifth season brings bondage and loss of freedom. The birds can fly without falling; and the fish can swim without sinking. That means power for sustainability. An unmanned fifth season is a season of stagnation and immobility. The key to sustainability in the fifth season is balance. He made the birds have wings and fish have fins. This gives them balance when they move. The wings of the birds and the fins of the fish represent righteousness and justice. An unmanned fifth season would be a season of wickedness and injustice. When birds spread their wings to fly, and fish their fins to swim, they are symbolically saying that righteousness and justice are the keys to freedom and prosperity in the fifth season. The creatures of the fifth day are also very sensitive and perceptive. They can sense danger and take precaution by moving to safety. In the fifth season, men become victims through insensitivity and lack of spiritual perception or discernment. The birds of the air, flying above the earth and the waters, represent the spirit; and the fish of the sea, swimming deep and wide in the waters, represent the flesh. In an unmanned fifth season the flesh (fish) rises above the spirit (birds). In this season, as birds fly above the waters and also eat the fish the sea, may your spirit rise above your flesh! It’s time to pray, dwell on the word, and walk in the spirit. In the fifth season, God wants to bless His people with abundance and surplus, fruitfulness, soundness, freedom, and sustainability. He wants you to man your fifth season with spirituality through prayer, confidence, and obedience to the word.

The fifth 49 days is a book of Deuteronomy season. Deuteronomy is the fifth book of the Bible. A book of Deuteronomy season is a season to give attention to the voice of God and be blessed; or to disregard the voice of God and be cursed. The book of Deuteronomy reveals that forgetting God or disregarding His word in the fifth season is courting disaster. In Deuteronomy 28, God showed Israel the path to blessings and curses. In the 30th chapter, He laid again before Israel the paths to life and death. The book of Deuteronomy reveals that the fifth season is a time to choose to be up and above like the birds; or to be down and below like the sea creatures. It is all a matter of what you do with the word and voice of God. Why does the Lord emphasize listening to, and obeying, His voice or word in the fifth season? On the fifth day, He created, not only living, moving creatures, but also talking-singing creatures. Birds talk and sing. They have voices. The fifth season is a season of raising and listening to voices.

Since the fifth seven weeks of the year is a book of Deuteronomy season, each week of the season would express five chapters of the fifth book as follows:

Week 29 – Deuteronomy 1-5

Week 29 – Deuteronomy 6-10

Week 29 – Deuteronomy 11-15

Week 29 – Deuteronomy 16-20

Week 29 – Deuteronomy 21-25

Week 29 – Deuteronomy 26-30

The last week would express the last four chapters (31-34). Take advantage of the season and read through the fifth book of the Bible. As God prepared Israel in the fifth book of the Bible before the entered Canaan in the book of Joshua, the fifth 49 days of the year is preparatory for the sixth 49 days of the year.

THE DEUTERONOMY YEARS OF AMERICA

Since July 1972, the United States have been journeying through the book of Deuteronomy. At the time of this writing, the United States is in the closing years of her fifth 49 years (1972 – 2021); and also in the closing chapters of the book of Deuteronomy. The fifth 49 years of the United States is a book of Deuteronomy season. Every seven years of this season expresses five chapters of the book of Deuteronomy. The last seven years of the season expresses the last four chapters of the book of Deuteronomy.

From July 1972 to July 1979, she lived through Deuteronomy 1-5.

From July 1979 to July 1986, she lived through Deuteronomy 6-10.

From July 1986 to July 1993, she went through Deuteronomy 11-15.

From July 1993 to July 2000, she lived through Deuteronomy 16-20.

From July 2000 to July 2007, she lived through Deuteronomy 21-25.

From July 2007 to July 2014, she lived through Deuteronomy 26-30. That was a serious decision-making moment for the United States. It was the time to choose between life and death; blessing and cursing.

From July 2014 to July 2021, she takes her journey through Deuteronomy 31-34. The last four chapters of Deuteronomy record the last days of Moses – from the appointment of his successor to his death. It was the end of the great prophet. Moses’ successor, Joshua, led Israel in the sixth book of the Bible. In this season, the United States will choose the one to lead her into the critical sixth 49 years beginning July 2021. I hope she gets a Joshua-type leader.

The fifth book of the Bible shows that the key to prosperity in this season is to obey God’s voice.

The fifth 49 days is a fifth chapters of the Bible season.

The fifth chapters of the Bible reveal three things about the fifth 49 days of the year:

1. This is a season to arrest disease and death. In Genesis 5, when men lived and died, Enoch walked with God and God (not death) took him away. In Mark 5, Jesus delivered a demon possessed man from bondage. In the same chapter, He raised a girl from the dead and healed the woman with the issue of blood. In Second Kings 5, Elisha healed Naaman of leprosy. In John 5, Jesus healed the man at the pool of Bethesda. In Acts 5, Peter’s shadow healed the sick.

2. It is also a season to confront rebellious and fleshly living. In Exodus 5, Pharaoh said to Moses, “Who is the Lord that I should obey Him; I do not know the Lord; neither will I let Israel go”. In First Samuel 5, the Philistines put the ark of God, as a captive, in the house of Dagon, their god. In Second Kings 5, while Elisha refused the free-will offerings of Naaman, Gehazi ran after Naaman, in dishonesty, to receive money and materials. He became leprous at the end. In Daniel 5, Belshazzar, king of Babylon, mocked the God of Israel in a sumptuous feast and lost his life and kingdom the same day – after reading the strange hand-writing on the wall. In Matthew 5, Jesus taught His disciple to scorn superficiality and become spiritual instead of just being religious. In Acts 5, Ananias and Sapphira died for giving offerings to the church in dishonesty. They gave in to the flesh. In First Corinthians 5, Paul rebel rebuked the church for condoning a man who was sleeping with his father’s wife. Second Corinthians 5 calls us to focus on the spirit rather on the flesh. The 16th verse says, “therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh….”. Galatians 5 talks about the works of the flesh and the fruit of the spirit; challenging us to walk in the spirit so as not to fulfill the desires of the flesh. In the fifth book of the Bible, God called Israel to obey His voice instead of following their natural or fleshly inclinations. That is also the reason God commanded Joshua to circumcise (cut off the flesh” of) the men of Israel in Joshua 5. In fifth seasons, people have a tendency to live and walk in the flesh, rather than by the word and the spirit. In the fifth season, men are tempted to disregard, and even mock, the spiritual. The fifth book and chapters of the Bible show that the fifth season divides between the carnal and the spiritual. God made both fish (flesh) and birds (the spirit) on the fifth day of creation. To be fleshly minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life.

3. It is a season of war against scarcity through generosity and self-denial. In Luke 5, Peter caught fish, in abundance, by the word of the Master; after giving his boat for a gospel crusade. He also walked away from the fish and fishing industry to follow the Prophet from Nazareth. In Joshua 5, Manna ceased; and Israel ate the fruit of the land after the men had been circumcised.

The fifth 49 days is a fifth seven books of the Bible season. The fifth seven books of the Bible are Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, and Habakkuk. These are prophetic books. They are messages from men who had received or perceived the mind of God. The books are mostly concerned about awakening the people to righteousness and justice. They confront the people to turn to God. Each week of the fifth 49 days will express one of the fifth seven books of the Bible. This 29th week is a book of Joel week. The 30th week is a book of Amos week. The 31st week is a book of Obadiah week. The 32nd week is a book of Jonah week. The 33rd week is a book of a Micah week. The 34th week is a book of Nahum week. The 35th week is a book of Habakkuk week.

The fifth seven books of the Bible reveal that the fifth seven weeks is a season to walk in unalloyed obedience. It is a season to pursue justice and righteousness. In this season, may the Lord keep you far from the disasters in the fifth seven books of the Bible.

THE UNITED STATES IN THE 5TH SEVEN BOOKS OF THE BIBLE

Since July 1972, the United States have been journeying through the fifth seven books of the Bible. From July 1972 to July 1979, she lived through the book of Joel. From July 1979 to July 1986, she lived through the book of Amos. From July 1986 to July 1993, she went through the book of Obadiah. From July 1993 to July 2000, she lived through the book of Jonah. From July 2000 to July 2007, she lived through the book of Micah. Her battles against terrorism began in this season. From July 2007 to July 2014, she lived through the book of Nahum. Welcome to the fourth seven weeks of the year (May 28-July 15 in a Clear Year; and May 29 – July 16 in a Leap Year). Welcome to weeks 22-28. This is the seven-week season ending the Old Testament side of the year. The Bible patterns for understanding this season are the fourth day of creation narrative, the fourth seven books of the Bible, the fourth book and chapters of the Bible; the fourth seven chapters (22-28) of the Bible.

The fourth seven weeks of the year is comparable to the fourth day of creation. On the fourth day of creation, God made the luminaries – the sun, moon, and stars – to give light on the earth, to divide the day from the night, to rule the day and night, and to be for seasons. The creation of the luminaries signified organization and orderliness; and were meant to keep away confusion, deception, stumbling, fear, and every other thing associated with darkness. The fourth 49 days of the year is a season to govern the earth from the heavenly places. In this season, the earth is helpless without the heavens. So, it is a season for the earth to lean on heaven for light and power. The fourth day of the week is the bridge between the first three days of the week and the last three days of the week. It is the bridge between the first three days of battles and the last three days of blessings.

The fourth seven weeks of the year is a book Numbers season. Numbers is the fourth book of the Bible. The book of Numbers covers about 39 years of Israel’s wilderness journey; beginning from “the first day of the second month of the second year after they came out of Egypt” (Numbers 1:1). The book of Numbers is a Book of tests, trials, troubles, conflicts, and judgments. Israel was tested in the fourth book of the Bible. Most of those who came out of Egyptian bondage perished in the wilderness in the book of Numbers. They were overtaken by darkness because of the rejection of light in the word of God from Moses the Servant of God.

The fourth book of the Bible can be applied to the fourth seven weeks as follows: The first six chapters (from the First Census to the laws of the Nazirite) applies to the 22nd week. Chapters 7-11 (offerings of the leaders, rules for the levites, the Second Passover, the sounding of the Trumpet and the Advance, the murmuring of the people, the spirit on the elders, and the arrival of Quail) apply to the 23rd week. Chapters 12-16 (the dissension of Miriam and Aaron, the rejection of the good land and the judgment, the emergence of Joshua and Caleb, the rebellion of Korah) apply to the 24th week. Chapters 17-21 (the vindication of Aaron, the death of Miriam, the rebellion of Moses and Aaron, the death of Aaron, the fiery serpents and the conquest of three kings) apply to the 25th week. Chapters 22-26 (beginning with Balaam’s effort to curse Israel and end ending with the Second Census) apply to the 26th week. Chapters 27-31 (the election of Joshua, laws governing inheritance, offerings, and vows; vengeance against Midianites and death of Balaam) apply to the 27th week. Chapters 32-36 (the inheritance: the choice of Reuben, Gad, and half-tribe of Manasseh to dwell the eastern side of Jordan, the review of journeys and camps from Egypt, the borders of the land, leaders appointed to divide the land, the cities of the Levites, inheritance of female heirs) apply to the 28th week.

The fourth seven weeks is a fourth seven books of the Bible season. The fourth seven books of the Bible are Song of Songs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, and Hosea. The opening poetic book (Song of Songs) shows the rapport and mutual admiration that ought to exist between God and His people. The prophetic books show the prophets beaming light to Israel to keep her out of darkness; though the people rejected darkness. Daniel and his friends were light to Babylon and Persia. The prophets also shut out light from some nations by judgmental prophetic words. The fourth seven weeks of the year is a season of trials and judgments. The fourth seven books of the Bible teach us that the fourth seven weeks is a season to listen to God, receive His word, and declare His counsel and judgments.

The fourth seven weeks is a fourth-chapters of the Bible season. Many fourth chapters of the Bible indicate that this is a season of tests, trials, and pressures. Cain killed Abel in Genesis 4. Moses almost lost faith in Exodus 4. The glory departed from Israel in the fourth chapter of First Samuel. Ishboshet was murdered in Second Samuel 4. The adversaries rose in the fourth chapters of Ezra and Nehemiah. The temptations of Jesus are recorded in the fourth chapters of Matthew and Luke. A storm rose against Jesus in the fourth chapter of Mark. The early church began to suffer persecution in the fourth chapter of Acts.

The fourth seven weeks is a fourth seven-chapters of the Bible season. The fourth seven chapters of Genesis are records of testing and trials. Genesis 22-28 are but trials in Abraham’s house. In Genesis 22, Abraham was tested; in Genesis 23, Sarah died. That must have been a trying time for Abraham. In Genesis 24, Rebekah was tested. In Genesis 25, Esau and Jacob were born; and in the same chapter, Esau sold his birthright to his younger brother for a plate of food. In Genesis 26, Isaac was tested in a season of famine. He obeyed God and prospered. In Genesis 27, Jacob stole Esau’s blessings after Rebekah and Jacob played a fast game on Isaac. In Genesis 28, Jacob escaped to Padan-Aram. The trials and triumph of Jesus is recorded in Matthew 22-28. The trials of Paul is recorded in Acts 22-28. The fourth seven weeks is a season of trials.

The fourth seven weeks of the year is a bridge season in the year. It is an Obadiah to Malachi season. It is the link to the New Testament side of the year. Every year is like a journey through the Bible; and has both an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first 28 weeks of the year belongs to the Old Testament side. The remaining weeks of the year belong to the New Testament side. The fourth seven weeks is the last seven weeks on the Old Testament side and expresses the last nine books of the Old Testament. The last 9 books of the Old Testament (Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi) are books of correction, judgment, recovery, and restoration.

Today, watch your steps and decisions. The tempter might be very close. Let the word of God guide your steps. Happy 4th Seven Weeks!

PRAYERS FOR THE FOURTH SEVEN WEEKS

1. O Lord, deliver me from the battles and pressures of this season; and help me to keep my mouth from complaining, murmuring, and negative confessions.

2. O Lord, help me against my enemies and those who hate me. Take on battles against those who seek my downfall in this season.

3. O Lord, release your judgments against wickedness and overthrow the wicked and proud in this season.

4. O Lord lbe merciful to your people who trust and hope in you; and forgive their transgressions in this season.

Welcome to the third 49 days (seven weeks) of the year. The third 49 days of the year begins on the 99th day and ends on the 147th day. The major Bible patterns for understanding the third 49 days of the year are the third day of creation narrative, the third book of the Bible, Leviticus, and the third seven books of the Bible (Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes), and the third ten books of the Bible. The third seven weeks of the year is like the third day of creation in the year. On the third day of creation, God fought the last battle against the waters. He began the war against the waters on the second day, when He created the firmament. So, God perfected on the third day what He began on the second day. On the third day, He first commanded the waters to be gathered together in one place. Then, He commanded the dry ground to appear or manifest. Following that, He commanded the dry ground to bring forth vegetation. Leaning on the third day of creation as pattern, the third seven weeks of the year is a season of overthrows, manifestation, and productive service. It is a 49-day season of bringing forth new platforms that would generate life-sustaining (not life-destroying) systems. The third day of creation was a day of breakthrough for the dry ground. The dry ground emerged (came on the scene) and began to release its potential. The third day was a day of promotion for the dry ground. It was a day of connecting the earth with the heavens by dismantling the water-barrier. May this third 49 days of the year be a season of breakthroughs for you.

The third seven weeks is a game-changing season. It is when the voice of God comes. It is when the word of God comes. The third chapter of each book the Bible is the game-changing chapter in the book. Work starts in the third season! It is when life surges! God called and engaged Moses in Exodus 3. He called and engaged Samuel in First Samuel 3. The same voice called John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth in third chapters of Matthew and Luke. The voice of God came to Adam in Genesis 3 but then, another voice had engaged Adam and Eve. Adam missed the call to God’s service. He and his wife had answered the call of the serpent. God’s call to Adam in Genesis 3 was for rebuke and reprimand. They were disqualified from work in the time of work. They died in a season of Life. Adam ran from the Voice of God in a season when men are to be drawn to the Voice of God. May the good things of the third season be your experience in these third 49 days of the year. May the experience of Adam in Genesis 3 be far away from you. You will not hide from the voice of God in a season when men are drawn to the Voice of God. You will not be disqualified for work in a time of work. Your season of appearance and approval will not be a season of rebuke and reprimand. You will not die in a season when Life springs forth and surges. Pray that this third 49 days of the year would be a positive game-changing season for you and all God’s people.

The third seven weeks is a book-of-Leviticus season. Leviticus is the third book of the Bible; and is about the given-platforms for maintaining fellowship and peace with God; and for sustaining life and blessings. The God-given platform consisted of the Levitical priesthood and ministers (Levites), the tabernacle, the offerings, sacrifices, and feasts or festivals. The cry of the third season is for stability and sustenance. The book of Leviticus is a book of sacrificial service and gives a picture of God’s agenda for the third season. Animals were sacrificed so that people may live. Like the dry ground on the third day of creation, the tribe of Levi laid down their rights to serve all Israel in matters relating to God. The book of Leviticus is a revelation about how to keep heaven and earth connected in third seasons. Here are six keys in the book: 1) Be SENSITIVE to hear God; 2) Offer SACRIFICES to God; 3) Be willing and available to SERVE; 4) SEPARATE yourself to God; 5) SUBMIT to the word of God. 6) Make SUPPLICATIONS to God. Pray for grace to operate these six keys in the this third 49 days of the year. The book of Leviticus consists of 27 chapters and each of the seven weeks (except the last) would be an expression of four chapters of the book: first day (1-4); day two (5-8); day three (9-12); day four (13-16); day five (17-20); day six (21-24); and day seven (25-27).

The third seven weeks of the year is a third-seven-books-of-the-Bible season. The third seven books of the Bible are books of breakthrough and loyalty to God. In the book of Ezra, the Jews had a breakthrough to rebuild the temple at Jerusalem. Cyrus, the king of Persia, obeyed the voice of God. In the book of Nehemiah, the Jews, through Nehemiah, received help from the king to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Opposition mounted, both in the rebuilding of the temple and in the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem, but the work continued until it was finished. In the book of Esther, a Jewess that had the least chance, became the queen of Persia, the Jews escaped state-planned genocide, and Mordecai, Esther’s cousin that brought her up, became next to the king of Persia. In the book of Job, Satan rose against the wealthy righteous man, destroyed everything he had – children, business, relationships, and health. Job remained faithful to God amid great emotional and physical pain. At the end, God turned his situation around and gave him even more blessings. The book of Psalms is a book of meditations, prayers, declarations of faith, testimonies, songs and praises to God. It is about triumph and victory through God. The book of Proverbs is about winning with the wisdom of God. Ecclesiastes is about restoring the platform of obedience and loyalty to God. Notice that God’s people had adversaries to contend with; in each of the third-seven books of the Bible. These books reveal that the third season (including third seven weeks of the year) is a season of triumph in battles through God.

Ezra shows how God can use prophetic decrees to break yokes as Cyrus freed the Jews according to the words of prophet Jeremiah. Nehemiah is about separation. He rebuilt the walls around Jerusalem – the walls separating the city from other cities. It was through the favor of God that the work was done. Esther shows how neglected people, like the earth under the waters, can rise to take the top seat. Favor and fasting did the work. Job shows how God turns captivity around as He did for the earth earth against the overflowing waters. Persevering faith was Job’s secret. Psalms shows the beauty of unhindered communion with God – the communion the earth with heaven. Prayer, praise, thanksgiving, and faith confessions were the secrets of the psalmist. Proverbs shows that the key to breakthrough in the third season is submission to the voice of wisdom. The fear of God, uprightness, and humility are the keys in the book of Proverbs. Ecclesiastes shows that in the third season, our preoccupation should be to fear God keep His commandments.

BIBLE READING FOR THE THIRD 49 DAYS: 15th week: – Ezra 1-10; 16th week – Nehemiah 1-13; 17th week – Esther 1-10; 18th week – Job 1-4; 40-42; 19th week – Psalms 1-4, 148-150; 20th week – Proverbs 1-7; 21st week – Ecclesiastes 1-12.

The third seven weeks of the year is Ecclesiastes – Amos season. Going through any year is like taking a journey through the Bible. There are seven 49-day seasons in the year; as there are seven major divisions in the Bible. The third 49 days of the year has its guiding light in the third ten books of the Bible. The major prophets are part of the third ten books of the Bible. They were God’s Voice to their generations. Heaven speaks to the earth in the third seasons. So, the third 49 days of the year is a season of hearing and doing.

Welcome to the second 49 days (seven weeks) of the year. The second 49 days of the begins on the 50th day and ends on the 98th day. It runs from February 19 to April 8 in a Clear Year; or April 7 in a Leap Year. The major Bible patterns for understanding the second 49 days of the year are the second day of creation narrative, the second book of the Bible (Exodus), and the second seven books of the Bible.

The Second 49 days of the year is a Second-Day-of-Creation season: The second day of creation is applicable to the second 49 days of the year. On the second day of creation, God created the firmament (space or heaven). Before God created the firmament, water covered everywhere. There was no space for anything else. Water monopolized space. That is what oppressors do. They do not want rivals or competitors. Water was like an oppressor because it did not leave room for anything else to exist. That was the reason God released the firmament to thwart the monopoly of the waters and make room for other things to exist. The second 49 days of the year is for battles against monopolies and obstacles to the visions for the year. It is a time to breakthrough and crack barriers; to do the things you desire. How did God create space? He commanded that there be a firmament between the waters to divide the waters horizontally. One part of the waters was above the firmament while the other part was under the firmament. God’s plan is to divide the camp of the enemy in this season to favor you. May the Lord make room for you and your dreams in the second 49 days of the year. Pray!

The Second 49 days of the year is a book-of-Exodus season: Exodus is the second book of the Bible; and is applicable to the second 49 days of the year. In the book of Genesis, Israel went into Egypt in the days of Joseph; but the good days was not meant to last forever. In the book of Exodus, they became slaves. The Egyptians were threatened by the growing population of Israelites in Egypt. They found a way to enslave them and control their population. Oppression heightened by the day until Moses grew and began to think and seek deliverance for his people. His initial attempts to fight Egyptian oppression, from the sidelines, and deliver Israel, was unsuccessful. He went into self-exile in the land of Midian. As Israel prayed, God revealed Himself to Moses and sent him to Pharaoh to demand that Israel be released to go. He fought Egypt spiritually with plagues until Pharaoh yielded to his demand for Israel’s freedom and independence. Then began the journey to the Promised Land and the organization of the nation. Exodus is a pattern and guiding light for second seasons. It illustrates how God makes way where there is no way for His people in second seasons.

The book of Exodus has 40 chapters; and so, each week of the second 49 days, except the last, would express six chapters of Exodus. The last week would express the last four chapters: Week 1 (Exodus 1-6); Week 2 (Exodus 7-12); Week 3 (Exodus 13-18); Week 4 (Exodus 19-24); Week 5 (Exodus 25-30); Week 6 (Exodus 31-36); Week 7 (Exodus 37-40).

The kingdom of darkness wants to choke life out of people in this season of the year but God fights to preserve lives and give freedom. Nigeria experienced about 46 airplane mishaps between 1950s to 2021 but 9 of the airplane mishaps happened in this season of the second 49 days:

1. February 24, 1990, a British Helicopter crashed in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, killing all nine people on board.

2. February 25, 2005, ADC’s B73 aircraft had its tyre burnt while landing at Yola Airport.

3. March 1, 1978, Nigeria Airways F28-1000 crashed in Kano, killing 16 people.

4. March 6, 2004, an Aenail spray aircraft with registration number 5NBEF belonging to Berfieex Nigeria Ltd, crashed at the Bauchi Airport

5. March 8, 2011: HS-125 chartered aircraft crashed in Bauchi. No casualty.

6. March 14, 2002, a helicopter belonging to the Joint Task Force (JTF) crashed in Kabong, Jos, killing all on-board including four senior police officers.

7. March 14, 2012, a helicopter conveying the newly promoted Deputy Inspector General of Police, Haruna John, with three other senior police officers crashed in Jos. The Police helicopter was to convey the officers from Jos to Abuja, and took off from the Jos prison field.

8. March 15, 2008, Beechcraft 1900D plane marked 5N-JAH, belonging to Wing Aviation crashed in Cross River State. The wreckage was not found until six months after. All four crewmembers died.

9. March 27, 2005, a Boeing 737 belonging to Bellview had one of its engines caught fire.

In the first week of this season in 2022, Russia declared war against Ukraine.

The second 49 days of the year is a second-seven-books-of-the-Bible season. The second seven books of the Bible are Ruth, 1 & 2 Samuel, 1 & 2 Kings, 1 & 2 Chronicles. In these seven books, Israel became a monarchy and David became the model kingffrf of Israel. The nation prospered under God but suffered when it became unfaithful to God. In these seven books Israel rose to great heights but also declined woefully. The nation suffered from both f crisis and external aggression. She did not manage her freedom well. She ended up in captivity. May the second 49 days of the year be, for you, a season of moving from limitations to permanent liberty.

The second season is for laying foundation for the future. If God did not create the firmament on the second day, nothing else could have existed. The exodus of Israel from Egypt is the foundation of Israel as a nation and as a sovereign political entity. The second 49 days of the year is time to fight and win the battle that makes other desired things happen in the year. Following the era of the judges, God began to restore the glory of Israel in the second seven books of the Bible. America’s civil war took place in her second 49 years. It was war between those who favored slavery and those who favored the freedom of slaves. Those who did not want to give freedom to the slaves lost the battle. They misread the time. Nigeria is in her second 49 years; and Nigerians are in a battle against oppressive political and terrorist monopolies. Syria and Libya began to collapse in the second 49 years of existence because of war against monopolies. Nature demands freedom and liberty in the second-49 season. I pray that the freedom and liberty you desire would be your portion in this season.

The second 49 days of the year is a Second Samuel to Proverbs season. Every year has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The second 10 books of the Bible are applicable to the Second 49 days of the year. The second 10 books show us how Israel declined, went into captivity, and returned. The book reveals why people and nations decline. It shows that turning away from God is the name of nations. The second seven books of the Bible is the foundation of the poetic books and the the major prophetic books.

Welcome to the first 49 days (seven weeks) of the year. The God of Israel is the God of ‘sevens’. His signature is ‘seven’!. He created time and gave the first seven days to the work of creation. That became the pattern and foundation for all things that happen on earth. The Bible is full of the sevens of God: seven days, seven years, seven priests, seven trumpets, seven spirits, seven lamp stands, seven churches, seven seals, seven bowls, and so on. There are seven 7 weeks (7×49 days) and a remainder of 22 days in a (clear) year; or 23 days in a (leap) year. These seven seasons in the year are patterned after the seven days of creation. This means each day of creation is light and pattern for each 49 day (seven-week) season. The seven-week seasons of the year also have their patterns in the books of the Bible.

1st 49 Days (Genesis – Second Samuel)

2nd 49 Days (First Kings – Ecclesiastes)

3rd 49 Days (Song of Songs – Amos)

4th 49 Days (Obadiah – Malachi)

5th 49 Days (Matthew – Second Corinthians)

The major Bible patterns for understanding the first 49 days of the year are the first day of creation narrative, the first book of the Bible (Genesis), and the first seven books of the Bible, and the first ten books of the Bible.

The first 49 days of the year is a first day of creation season. when God said, “Let there be light”. It is the season to release light into the new year. Light helps us to see. It is the time to see the year without uncertainty. It is the season to begin to shape the year with the word and presence of God. God is Light and His Word is also light. God is first; and the first belongs to Him. The battle of life is First a battle of Light and darkness. God is Light and there is no darkness in Him. So, God, with His Word, is the light of the year; and should dominate the first 49 days of the year. The presence of God drives darkness away. The first 49 days of the year is for battling spiritual darkness, mental darkness, environmental or social darkness. It is a time to get clarifications concerning the year ahead. It is a time you need light to make decisions that would matter in the year and even beyond.

The first 49 days of the year is a book of Genesis season. Each week of this 49 days is an expression of seven chapters of Genesis: first week (Genesis 1-7); second week (Genesis 8-14); third week (Genesis 15-21); fourth week (Genesis 22-28); fifth week (Genesis 29-35); sixth week (Genesis 36-42); seventh week (Genesis 43-50). The book of Genesis is the first book of the Bible and is the foundation of the entire Bible. This book helps us to understand the rest of the Bible, the earth, and human existence. The Bible and human existence would not make sense without the book of Genesis. The first 49 days of the year is the time to lay foundation for the year. That is the time to give your year its form and shape. The first seven weeks of the year is the key to understanding the 7 seven weeks of the year.

In the book of Genesis, God told man how to live but man chose to go a different way; and that was the reason for the disasters of Eden, the flood, Babel, Sodom, and the Amorites. The first 49 days of the year is the time to receive God’s Word and instructions for the year; which we must also run with. It is a time to receive God’s word and do it. This is a time to honor God with devotion. The first 49 days of the year is the first-fruit of your 365/366 days in the year; and should be given to God – in worship, prayer, meditation and study, or some special service.

The first 49 days of the year is a first-seven-books-of-the-Bible season. The first seven books of the Bible are Genesis, Ezodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, and Judges; and they are applicable to the first seven weeks of year – each week expressing one book of the Bible. The first week of the year is a book of Genesis week. The second week is a book of Exodus week. The third week is a book of Leviticus week; and so on. The first seven books of the Bible show how all things began. The books show how man began and failed God. The books show, especially, the origin of God’s election of Israel. It shows how Israel began, how they were enslaved by Egypt, how God delivered Israel from bondage, how she became a nation, journeyed through the wilderness and inherited the vast land God promised their fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The seventh book shows how Israel began to fail God in the Promised Land, began to suffer at the hands of her enemies, and how God showed mercy to Israel by raising the Judges to deliver her from her enemies. The first seven books of the Bible indicate that the key to peace and goodness is alignment with, and submission to, God’s will. Failure or success, in any year, does not happen in the middle of the year, or at the end of the year. It begins in the first 49 days of the year. The entire year is in the first 49 days of the year. The other seasons of the year will be built on the foundation you lay in the first 49 days, or first seven weeks of the year. Often, what happens s that people spend the year trying to undo, correct, or save themselves from the misdeeds of the first 49 days.

The first 49 days of the year is a Genesis – Second Samuel season. I asked the Lord to speak to me about His agenda for the beginning of the year. He told me the beginning of the year is when He recruits people after His heart who will run with His purposes in the year. He said He considers those who are positioning their hearts to go the direction He is going. He would partner with them and give them every grace necessary for fulfilling His purposes in the year. He led me to see there is a pattern for this in the Bible. Every year has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first 4 seven weeks of the year (196 days) constitute the Old Testament side of the year. The following 3 seven weeks and the remaining 22/23 days constitute the New Testament side of the year.

The first 10 books of the Bible are the pattern and guiding light for the first 49 days of the year. In the first ten books of the Bible, God began to search a man and a people. He wanted a representative people through whom He could work and touch the entire world. He wanted people who could represent His interests on earth. He wanted a people who are hungry for Him, a people who will seek Him, who will Hear Him, trust Him, obey Him, love Him, and be holy, clean, and separate for Him.

He searched from Adam, Abel, Seth, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob/Israel, Joseph, Moses/Aaron/Bezaleel, Joshua, Samson, Samuel, and Saul; until He came to David – the man after His heart. In David, He laid a new foundation for Israel. He also searched among women – Eve, Sarah, Rebekah, Rachael and Leah, Tamar, Jechobed, Miriam, Rahab, Deborah, Samson’s mother, Naomi, Ruth, Hannah, Bathsheba.

God is looking for people after His heart who will war in the spirit, in the place of prayer and intercession, to birth His purposes for the year. He needs people to win souls and disciple them. He needs people to care for the needy. He needs messengers who will receive word from His mouth and declare the same where it is meant. He is looking for people who are willing to give resources for kingdom work in the year. He is looking for those who will give themselves to serve where they are needed. Some people will never be ready for God, or wake up to His call, until the middle of the year; or even the last quarter. Sadly, some may never go God’s direction this year. They may be waking up next year.

Will you be a vessel in God’s hand in the year? Now is the time to position and align your heart with His agenda for the year. Happy first 49 days.

1. Thank God for the grace of a new year. The gift of life is the gift of gifts. It is the greatest.

2. Give attention to God’s word. Hear it. Read it. Study it.

3. Believe God’s word and trust His wisdom

4. Obey God’s voice and submit totally to His will. Follow His direction for the year. Seek the help of God concerning this.
