Welcome to the seventh and last day of the 20th week of the year. It’s the 140th day of the year! Day 140 is also the 42nd day in the third 7 weeks of the year. It is May 20 in a Clear Year but May 19 in a Leap Year. On this day in 1862, U.S. President Abraham Lincoln signed the Homestead Act, which provided 160 acres of public land virtually free of charge to those who had lived on and cultivated the land for at least five years. Think of the joy the beneficiaries had on that day. May this day be a day of good news for you.
BIBLICAL PATTERNS FOR THE DAY
The Biblical patterns for understanding the 140th day of the year are 1) the seventh day of creation – with the 7th book and 7th chapters of the Bible as supplementary patterns, 2) the 42nd book and chapters of the Bible, 3) Psalm 140, 4) the last four chapters of the book of the 20th book of the Bible (Proverbs) and 5) the last 9 Books of the New Testament and the Bible .
1. Day 140 is a seventh day of creation day in the 20th week. The Creator ended His work and rested on he seventh day. He also blessed the seventh day and sanctified (consecrated) it to Himself. So, the seventh season is a season of intervention to end affliction and oppression. It is also a season dedicated to doing the Creator’s pleasure. The seventh season is often a season of battling enemies to end oppression and affliction. It is a season to end toils and struggles. In the sight of God, the seventh season is an end-point for wickedness and oppression. In seventh seasons, men are pressed to the wall to cry to God for intervention and deliverance. The seventh book and seventh chapters of the Bible also bear witness to this. Jesus intervened in the lives of people on the seventh day (Luke 18; John 5).
2. Day 140 is a Psalm 140 day. The 140th psalm is a prayer of deliverance: “deliver me…preserve me…keep me.
Psalm 140:1-5 says, “Deliver me, O LORD, from evil men; Preserve me from violent men, [2] Who plan evil things in their hearts; They continually gather together for war. [3] They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; The poison of asps is under their lips. Selah [4] Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from violent men, Who have purposed to make my steps stumble. [5] The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set traps for me. Selah”. [6] I said to the LORD: “You are my God; Hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD. [7] O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle. [8] Do not grant, O LORD, the desires of the wicked; Do not further his wicked scheme, Lest they be exalted. Selah [9] “As for the head of those who surround me, Let the evil of their lips cover them; [10] Let burning coals fall upon them; Let them be cast into the fire, Into deep pits, that they rise not up again. [11] Let not a slanderer be established in the earth; Let evil hunt the violent man to overthrow him.” [12] I know that the LORD will maintain The cause of the afflicted, And justice for the poor. [13] Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; The upright shall dwell in Your presence.
Day 140 is a day to cry out to God for intervention.
3. Day 140 is a Proverbs 28-31 day in the 20th week. This is the 7th, last, and crowning section of the 20th book of the Bible; and is applicable to the seventh day of the 20th week of the year. This section of the book ends with the virtuous woman who gives rest to her husband and family. It is also about finding rest through wisdom
4. Day 140 is a 42nd season day in the third 7 weeks of the year. It is a book of Luke day. The book of Luke is the 42nd book of the Bible. Day 140 is also a 42nd chapters of the Bible day. Job’s afflictions ended in the 42nd chapter. In the 42nd book of the Bible, God broke biological protocols of conception, in the lives of Elizabeth and Mary, to usher in the Messiah of the world and His Forerunner. This is a day answers to prayer (Luke 11; 18; 22) and a day of fulfillment of dreams and prophecies. Troubles end in the 42nd season. May troubles for you on this 42nd day of the third seven weeks of the year.
5. Day 140 is a Hebrews – Revelation day in the 20th week. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. Every week also has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The seventh day of the week is the third and last day in the New Testament side of the week; and expresses the third nine books of the New Testament. Today is a day of the last battle and ultimate triumph in the week. The third 9 books of the N.T (Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, Jude and Revelation) are books of correction, recovery, and restoration. May this 140th day of the year be a day of recovery and restoration in your life. May God intention for you in the 20th week be fulfilled today.
DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, raise a cry against wickedness; trust in the Lord, hope in Him, and take refuge in His grace and mercy. Today, prophesy restoration and blessing on God’s people because of the finished work; and prophesy against ungodliness. This is a day of “IT IS DONE”. Today, you will have pleasure by seeking the pleasure of God. Today, make it priority to honor God. Obey Him. If you missed it anywhere, repent and return to God. This is a day to go back to Bethel. May this 140th day be a season of realizing dreams and receiving answers to prayers. Psalm 140 into a personal prayer. Pray especially against the loss of lives on this day (Genesis 7; Luke 7; Acts 7)
Happy 140th day!

Blessed Sir, I have read through both day 139&140, it’s always an eye opener.
Sir, it needs to go public, but, I will suggest, if it will be from the beginning of the year
So that, the calculation of the numbers, as from day one to seven and beyond will be easyly follow by those who are not used to the pattern
By following from the start, understanding will not be difficult.
Now, we are at the middle of it, they may not be able to follow
Dear Pastor Danladi,
Thank you so much for your wise counsel. It is well received. By the grace of God, we’ll go public at the beginning but we are reaching those who have been following the teaching and with their input (like yours), we can make improvements before the new year.
Thanks again.
Yours in Him
