Welcome to the third day of the year. Day 3 is the third day of the first week of the year. The Bible patterns for understanding the third day of the year are 1) the third day of creation narrative; 2) the third book of the Bible; and 3) the third chapters of the books of the Bible.
Day 3 is a third-day-of-creation day. On the third day of creation, God commanded the waters to be gathered in one place; and made way for the dry ground to manifest for service. It was the day of the call and engagement of the dry ground. On that day, God commanded the dry ground to bring forth vegetation. The third day of creation was a day of overthrow. God overthrew the waters over the earth. It was also a day of manifestations and revelation. The hidden dry ground was revealed and made a solid platform for good on the third day. The third day of creation was a day of release. On that day, the dry ground released life and brought forth vegetation. It was the day of bringing forth fresh life from dry ground. It is a day to release life from death. The third day is the day of ‘the seed’. That is when the seed of the future is planted and germinates. This is evident even in the third seven chapters (15-21) of the Bible.
In Genesis 15, Abraham began to complain about having no child of his own. In Genesis 16, he and his wife devised their own way of circumventing barrenness to have a child through Hagar, their slave girl. In Genesis 17, God named him father of multitudes. In Genesis 18, God gave them a set time when their child would be born. In Genesis 21, Isaac, the child of promise, was born. In Genesis 19, Lot’s two daughters had sons through their father because they had no husbands. It’s all about dry ground bringing forth! The third season is about ‘dry ground’ bringing forth ‘vegetation’ – whether crops or weeds.
Day 3 is a book of Leviticus day. Leviticus is the third book of the Bible; and is about life coming out of death. Animals were sacrificed that people may live. Like the dry ground on the third day, the tribe of Levi laid down their rights to serve all Israel in matters relating to God. The third season is a season of sacrificial service. The third day is day of offerings and sacrifces
Day 3 is a third-chapters-of-the-Bible day. The third chapters of the Bible reveal that the third day is a game-changing day. The fall of man is recorded in the third chapter of Genesis. That was the beginning of God’s Plan B for man. The call of Moses to deliver Israel is recorded in Exodus 3. That was the game-changer in the book. The crossing of the Jordan is in Joshua 3. The marriage of Ruth to Boaz is in Ruth 3. The call of Samuel is recorded in First Samuel 3. Solomon’s first encounter with God is recorded in First Kings 3. The emergence of Haman and the clash with Mordecai is in Esther 3. The humiliation of Nebuchadnezzar and fall of Babylon began in Daniel 3. The baptism of Jesus and the sounding of the voice from heaven is recorded in the third chapters of Matthew and Luke. The healing of the lame man at the Beautiful gate that stirred the city is recorded in Acts 3. Read the third chapters of the Bible.
The Bible reveals that ‘the third day’ is a game-changing day. Vegetation came into existence on the third day of creation. This means that life began on earth on the third day. Abraham saw where he was going to sacrifice Isaac on the third day of their journey. Esther found favor before the king on the third day of the fast. Jonah came out of the belly of the fish on the third day. Jesus turned water into wine and manifested His glory on the third day. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day,
Day 3 is Ecclesiastes – Amos Day in the first week of the year. Going through any week is like taking a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The third day of the week is the third day in the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the third 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the third 10 books of the Bible, God sent His prophets to speak to the people. They confronted the people, warned them against judgment, comforted the faithful, and brought judgment on the arrogant. The third day is for the overthrow of the rebellious and establishment of the humble and just. How you fare in this season depends on your attitude and response to the word of God. This is a day of prophetic confrontation and judgment.
DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. This is a day of manifestation. Do not be afraid to take a stand for the Lord. It is a season to come out of hiding and obscurity. It is a day to overthrow oppression and the oppressor. It is a day to establish the humble. Today, decree the downfall of the wicked and the lifting and establishment of the just. Today, prophesy an end to something in your life, family, business, community, and nation. Today, be ready to hear His voice and respond by faith. Expect breakthrough. Be willing to sacrifice. Walk by faith! This is a day of breakthrough and pushing through barriers in the week. This is a day of unveiling. It is a day of answers to prayers. Today, pray for the overthrow of dysfunctional systems in the nations and in the church. Pray that God will make a way for the manifestation of hidden platforms and producers. Pray also that the forgotten functional people and things be remembered, recognized, and restored. Today, remember that when God delivers and manifests, it is for service and production. Do not consume His mercy on your lust. On this third day of the week, the oppressor will go down and the humble shall be delivered. Today, open your ears and heart to the Voice that calls to sacrificial service. This is a day for both the ‘emergence’ and ‘disappearance’ of people, platforms, and programs. Happy third day of the week! Happy third day of the year!!!
On this day in 2020, a powerful Iranian General, Soleimani, was killed in a targeted air strike near Iraqi airport. I pray that this is a day of emergence, and not disappearance, for you.
