Day 170: The Mystery of June 19

Welcome to a new day!

FIVE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE DAY

Today Is

  1. 1. June 19 (in a Clear year); June 18 (in a Leap year).

2. The second day of the 25th Week (June 18 –24 in a Clear year/ June 17 – 23 in a Leap year).

3. The 23rd day in fourth 7 Weeks of the year. (May 28 July 15).

4. The 170th day of the year (from January 1). In this article, this day will be called Day 170

5. A second-season day because it is the second day of the 25th week of the year.

FOUR BIBLICAL PATTERNS FOR THE DAY

There are four basic biblical patterns for this day:

1. The second day of creation (Genesis 1: 6-8)

2. Lamentations 2:1-22

3. The 23rd book of the Bible (Isaiah)

4. The second 10 books of the Old Testament (1 Kings – Proverbs)

Day 170 is a second day of creation day in the 25th week. God created the firmament on the second day; to thwart the monopoly of the waters and make room for other things to come into existence. A second day of creation season is a time to force a way into and through where there is no way. It is a season to mount pressure on obstacles and barriers to give way. It is a season of breakthrough by (a spiritual) force. It is a season to push your way through – by prayer, wisdom, prophecy, state policy, and by engaging the Spirit of God. The second season is a time of desperate efforts to make a way. The firmament, which God used to make a way where there’s none is called ‘heaven’. So, Day 170 is a day heaven must rule. It is a day to engage heaven to intervene on earth.

Day 170 is a Lamentations chapter 2 season in the 25th week. The second chapter of the 25th book of the Bible is applicable to the second day of the 25th week. In Lamentations 2, the Prophet attributes their state to God’s judgment. God fought His people because they had become space-blockers in His plan and purpose. He removed them from His way. The first 17 verses is about God’s reaction against the ungodliness of His people. Lamentations 2:1-17 says, “How the Lord has covered the daughter of Zion With a cloud in His anger! He cast down from heaven to the earth The beauty of Israel, And did not remember His footstool In the day of His anger. [2] The Lord has swallowed up and has not pitied All the dwelling places of Jacob. He has thrown down in His wrath The strongholds of the daughter of Judah; He has brought them down to the ground; He has profaned the kingdom and its princes. [3] He has cut off in fierce anger Every horn of Israel; He has drawn back His right hand From before the enemy. He has blazed against Jacob like a flaming fire Devouring all around. [4] Standing like an enemy, He has bent His bow; With His right hand, like an adversary, He has slain all who were pleasing to His eye; On the tent of the daughter of Zion, He has poured out His fury like fire. [5] The Lord was like an enemy. He has swallowed up Israel, He has swallowed up all her palaces; He has destroyed her strongholds, And has increased mourning and lamentation In the daughter of Judah. [6] He has done violence to His tabernacle, As if it were a garden; He has destroyed His place of assembly; The LORD has caused The appointed feasts and Sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion. In His burning indignation He has spurned the king and the priest. [7] The Lord has spurned His altar, He has abandoned His sanctuary; He has given up the walls of her palaces Into the hand of the enemy. They have made a noise in the house of the LORD As on the day of a set feast. [8] The LORD has purposed to destroy The wall of the daughter of Zion. He has stretched out a line; He has not withdrawn His hand from destroying; Therefore He has caused the rampart and wall to lament; They languished together. [9] Her gates have sunk into the ground; He has destroyed and broken her bars. Her king and her princes are among the nations; The Law is no more, And her prophets find no vision from the LORD. [10] The elders of the daughter of Zion Sit on the ground and keep silence; They throw dust on their heads And gird themselves with sackcloth. The virgins of Jerusalem Bow their heads to the ground. [11] My eyes fail with tears, My heart is troubled; My bile is poured on the ground Because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, Because the children and the infants Faint in the streets of the city. [12] They say to their mothers, “Where is grain and wine?” As they swoon like the wounded In the streets of the city, As their life is poured out In their mothers’ bosom. [13] How shall I console you? To what shall I liken you, O daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare with you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? For your ruin is spread wide as the sea; Who can heal you? [14] Your prophets have seen for you False and deceptive visions; They have not uncovered your iniquity, To bring back your captives, But have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions. [15] All who pass by clap their hands at you; They hiss and shake their heads At the daughter of Jerusalem: “Is this the city that is called ‘The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth’?” [16] All your enemies have opened their mouth against you; They hiss and gnash their teeth. They say, “We have swallowed her up! Surely this is the day we have waited for; We have found it, we have seen it!” [17] The LORD has done what He purposed; He has fulfilled His word Which He commanded in days of old. He has thrown down and has not pitied, And He has caused an enemy to rejoice over you; He has exalted the horn of your adversaries”.

The second season is a time to cry out to God for intervention. Lamentations 2:18-20 says: “Their heart cried out to the Lord, “O wall of the daughter of Zion, Let tears run down like a river day and night; Give yourself no relief; Give your eyes no rest. [19] “Arise, cry out in the night, At the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him For the life of your young children, Who faint from hunger at the head of every street.” [20] “See, O LORD, and consider! To whom have You done this? Should the women eat their offspring, The children they have cuddled? Should the priest and prophet be slain In the sanctuary of the Lord?” On this day in 1865, former slaves celebrated end of slavery in the United States. In 2021, 156 years later, June 19 became, officially, a public holiday in the United States. Those who cry out to God for help will be heard.

Day 170 is a 23rd season in the fourth 49 days of the year. It is a 23rd book and chapters of the Bible day. The 23rd book of the Bible is Isaiah. In the days of Uzziah, Ahaz, Jotham, and Hezekiah, Isaiah stood for the nation as a spiritual watchman and gate-keeper. He helped Hezekiah against Sennacherib the King of Assyria. God makes a way in 23rd seasons like Day 170.

Day 170 is First Kings – Proverbs Day in the 25th week. Going through any week is like taking a journey through the Bible. Every week has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four days of the week belong to the Old Testament side and express the 39 books of the Old Testament. The remaining three days of the week constitute the New Testament side and express the 27 books of the New Testament. The second day of the week is the second day in the Old Testament side of the week; and expresses the second 10 books of the Old Testament and the Bible. In the second 10 books of the Bible, God wanted the king’s of Israel to trust Him and lead the nation in the same direction. Beginning with Solomon, the kings of Israel began to patronize Idols. Idol worship became official in the northern kingdom following the split. Judah followed. Prophets rose in this season to call the nation back to God. Eventually, the two kingdom went into captivity – the north fell to Assyria ‘s; and the south to the Babylonians. The Jews did return from captivity after 70 years. The last two books in this section of the Bible (Psalms and Proverbs) show that loss of faith in God is prelude to the loss of all things; but faith in God is the secret of power and strength. The faithful will triumph no matter what happens.

DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, declare that your faith will not fail; and that the faithful will triumph. Decree the downfall of those who disregard God and trust in themselves or idols, Today, prophesy against evil controlling powers and overthrow them by the word of the Lord. Mercy makes a way where there is no way. Today is a day of divine intervention and mercy. Today, release the word of the Lord against oppressive mountains in your life and in your world. Raise a cry to God against the proud and wicked in the land. Today, trust God to make a way where there is no way. Proclaim His word, Pray to Him. Praise Him.

Happy 170th Day!
