We know from the Bible that ‘the third’ is a game-changing point. The earth became the new platform on the third day of creation. Third king of Israel, Solomon, changed the nation both for good and bad. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. The third chapter in any book of the Bible is a game-changing chapter in that book. Nigeria’s third National Leader (Gen. Yakubu Gowon) was a game-changer – 12 States, Biafra issue, Naira, Left hand drive, NYSC, etc.
Just as God told Israel that the month of Passover shall be the beginning of her months, the month of October (Nigeria’s month of independence) is the beginning of her months and year. So, the third seven weeks of each Nigeria’s year begins January 7 and ends February 24. It runs from the 15th week to the 21st week of Nigeria’s year. Going through this season in Nigeria each year is like taking a prophetic journey from the book of Ezra to the book of Ecclesiastes. This is a very critical time-gate in Nigeria. Intercessors, watchmen and gate-keepers in Nigeria (and others who are praying for Nigeria and watching over her in the spirit) should be aware of this and always take time to do the needful in this season. It is a season of change in Nigeria. Things happen in other seasons but Nigeria’s history shows that this is a season to watch carefully. Here are seven things that had passed through this time-gate in Nigeria
The first military coup following Nigeria’s independence happened in this season (January 15, 1966).
Isaac Adaka Boro attempted the first secession in the country in this season (February 13, 1966). Many lives were lost in this revolt.
The Nigeria-Biafra Civil War ended in this season (January 15, 1970).
The third military coup that ended the life and regime of Murtala Mohammad happened in this season (February 13, 1976). That was 10 years after Isaac Boro revolt.
Obasanjo was elected 12th National Leader on February 10, 1999
Zamfara became the first Sharia State in Nigeria on January 27, 2000.
Tinubu was elected 16th National Leader on February 23, 2023.

It is a season we must handle with prayers Here are three things to pray about in this season:.
1. Pray for the overthrow of evil and wickedness in the country.
2. Pray against bloodshed and wasting of lives in this season.
3. Pray against moves in this season that can destabilize the country.
