Welcome to the 135th day of the year! Day 135 is the second day of the 20th week of the year. It is the 37th day in the third 7 weeks (or third 49 days) of the year.. It is also the second day of the sixth week in the third 49 days. Day 135 is May 15th in a clear year ; and May 14th in a leap year. The Bible patterns for understanding this 135th day are 1) the second day of creation narrative; 2) Psalm 135, and 3) the second five chapters (6-10) of Proverbs – the 20th book of the Bible.
Day 135 is a second day of creation day in the 20th week. The narrative of the second day of creation is applicable to the second day of the 20th week. God created the firmament on the second day of creation to make a way where there is no way; and create room for other things to exist. A second season is when God makes a way where there is no way – as on the second day of creation – when He created the firmament; as in the second book of the Bible when He delivered Israel from Egyptian bondage. The second season is a time to celebrate the mighty works of God. In the second season,He gives room and space to those who have none in second seasons.
Day 135 is a Proverbs 6-10 day. The second 5 chapters of the 20th book of the Bible are applicable to the second day of the 20th week. This section is about winning with wisdom and discretion. Adultery in Proverbs 6-7 is like Idolatry in Psalm 135:15-18. Idols and harlots are not what they seem to be. This section of Proverbs makes a strong case for truth that saves from temptation and deception. It unmasks the destroyers of men’s lives in the first three chapters; and in the 8th chapter, reveals wisdom as the ‘firmament’ of God that would thwart the monopoly of deceptive destroyers in the week. I pray that Divine wisdom would help you today. The wisdom of God will save you from the agents of death moving around today. Wisdom is the Way-maker today. God did exploits with wisdom and so should you. The fear of God blesses and preserves men on a day like this. Wisdom is the key to exploits
Day 135 is a Book of Haggai day in the third 49 days of the year. Haggai is the 37th book of the Bible; and is applicable to the 37th day in the third 49 days. The 37th chapters of the Bible are also applicable to Day 135. The 37th book of the Bible was a call to return to rebuilding the house of God – which was made to cease by a royal decree. Exodus 37 is also about work in the tabernacle. The house of God is a house of prayer; and must not be neglected in a 37th season. Prayer frustrates the destroyer in the 37th season. In Isaiah 37, king Hezekiah and Isaiah the Prophet defeated Sennacherib the king of Assyria through prayer. In Genesis 37, Joseph escaped being murdered by his brothers. Psalm 37 shows God delivers the righteous from the wicked that wants to slay him. Ezekiel 37 is about the slain in the valley of dry bones. This is a day of salvation through prayer. It is a day of intervention against destruction and the destroyer. This is a day to release power through prayer.
Day 135 is a Psalm 135 day! Psalm 135 shows that God is superior to idols. Day 135 is a day to trust in God and not in idols. Those who trust in idols today would greatly disappointed. Those who trust in God would find Him sufficient for all things.
a). The first four verses of Psalm 135 call us to praise God for His goodness. Psalm 135:1-4 says, “Praise the LORD! Praise the name of the LORD; Praise Him, O you servants of the LORD! [2] You who stand in the house of the LORD, In the courts of the house of our God, [3] Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant. [4] For the LORD has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His special treasure”.
b). Psalm 135:5-14 draws our attention to the greatness, superiority, and supremacy of our God. This passage speaks of who He is (verse 5); what He does (verse 6-7); what He did (verse 8-12); how long He would last (verse 13); what He will do (verse 14). Psalm 135:5-14 says, “For I know that the LORD is great, And our Lord is above all gods. [6] Whatever the LORD pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places. [7] He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain; He brings the wind out of His treasuries. [8] He destroyed the firstborn of Egypt, Both of man and beast. [9] He sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Egypt, Upon Pharaoh and all his servants. [10] He defeated many nations And slew mighty kings- [11] Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, And all the kingdoms of Canaan- [12] And gave their land as a heritage, A heritage to Israel His people. [13] Your name, O LORD, endures forever, Your fame, O LORD, throughout all generations. [14] For the LORD will judge His people, And He will have compassion on His servants”.
c). In Psalm 135:15-18, the psalmist derides the idols of the nations as material, man-made, and lifeless. They are not spirits at all. They are not even as much as human. Idol-worship debases men. They cannot give what they do not have. Psalm 135:15-18 says, “The idols of the nations are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands. [16] They have mouths, but they do not speak; Eyes they have, but they do not see; [17] They have ears, but they do not hear; Nor is there any breath in their mouths. [18] Those who make them are like them; So is everyone who trusts in them”.
d). Psalm 135 closes with exhortation to bless the Lord. Psalm 135:19-21 says, “Bless the LORD, O house of Israel! Bless the LORD, O house of Aaron! [20] Bless the LORD, O house of Levi! You who fear the LORD, bless the LORD! [21] Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, Who dwells in Jerusalem! Praise the LORD!”
This is a day for God to show his power. Idols have no power before Him. Those who rely on Idols, or the work of their own hands, are helpless before those who trust in God on this day. This is the day of those who fear God!
Day 135 is a First Kings – Proverbs day in the 20th week. Every week is like a journey through the Bible. The first four days of the week is the Old Testament side of the week. The last three days is the New Testament side of the week. The second day of the week expresses the second ten books of the Bible. The second 10 books of the Bible begins with First Kings and ends with the book of Proverbs. It opens with a wise king who did not live wisely and ends with his words of wisdom. We learn from this section that fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, The fear of God is the way-maker in a second season like Day 135. Judah and Israel went down because they lost the fear of God. Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther, are about who feared God. Job and Psalms reveal the trials, triumphs, and testimonies, of those who fear God. Proverbs show us that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Day 135 is a day to triumph through the wisdom in the fear of God. This fear of God brings favour, honour and promotion.
DECREE AND DECLARE: God made us in His image and likeness to rule, have dominion, and impose His will on seasons; as He did with the seven days of creation. He decreed what He wanted for each day. We are to decree what is revealed concerning each day. Today, declare that your faith will not fail; and that the faithful will triumph. Decree the downfall of those who disregard God and trust in themselves or idols, Today, prophesy against evil controlling powers and overthrow them by the word of the Lord. Mercy makes a way where there is no way. Today is a day of divine intervention and mercy. Today, release the word of the Lord against oppressive mountains in your life and in your world. Raise a cry to God against the proud and wicked in the land. Today, trust God to make a way where there is no way. Proclaim His word, Pray to Him. Praise Him. Happy 135th day!
