The 13th Week of the Year (March 26 – April 1)

0

The 13th week is the sixth week in the second 49 days. The days in this week are the 85th to the 91st. The 13th season is for restoration or returning to where you belong. The thirteenth season is when things are expected to go to where they belong. It is a season of separation from, or to, family. It is a time to return to the original word, the original mandate, or the original place.  The Bible-keys for understanding the thirteenth day are the sixth day of creation event, the sixth book of the Bible, the sixth chapters of the Bible, the thirteenth book and chapters of the Bible.

Week 13 is a sixth season week and has its pattern in the sixth day of creation.

WHAT HAPPENED ON THE SIXTH DAY OF CREATION?

1. God perfected the creation of flesh and blood. So, manifestations of the flesh attain perfection in the sixth season.

2. God gave governance of the earth to man. The sixth season is the season of administrators and rulers. Strong leaders emerge in the sixth season. God gives power to His representatives in the 13th season.

3. God instituted partnership and companionship. The sixth season is not for lone rangers. It is a “Let us” season.

4. God made very rational and sensible creatures on the sixth day. It is inventors season. It is thinkers and problem-solvers season.

5. God gave the earth to man as inheritance. God gives inheritance in the sixth season

6. God created man in His image. This is the day of God’s image. God seeks His image and representation in the sixth season. The sixth season is the season of the master-piece.

7. God blessed man with fruitfulness and multiplication. The sixth season is a season of fruitfulness and increase.

8. God communicated with man concerning provisions. God gives guidance through commands and instructions in the sixth season.

9. On the sixth day, God returned to work on the earth as He did on the third day. The sixth season is a season for the earth to cry to God to return. It is also a season for the earth to return to God. The 13th season has so much to do with ‘the land’, or dwelling place. It is a season of returning to where you should be. In Genesis 13, Abraham returned from Egypt to the Land God showed him. Even after Lot left him, God spoke to him about the Land. In Exodus 13, Israel took off from Egypt to return to the land where their fathers had lived. In Numbers 13, Moses sent 12 men to go and spy the Land and bring back report. They went and returned to Moses; some with evil report and some with good report. In Joshua 13, God took Joshua back to the matter of conquering the land. In the 13th chapter of First Chronicles, the 13th book of the Bible, David attempted to bring the ark back from Kirjath-Jearim. In John 13, Romans 13, First Corinthians 13, and Hebrews 13, attention is drawn to Love, the principal commandment. Returning to love is returning to God; because God is love. In Acts 13, the Holy Spirit demanded that Paul and Barnabas be separated for what He had called them to do. In Revelation 13, the beast gave marks to his own. Those who do not belong to the beast rejected the mark of the beast. In Matthew 13, Jesus focused on parables about the kingdom of God; and ended it with the separation of wheat and tares. That was the message he preached at first. In the early thirteenth century, in a season when things go to where they should be, Archbishop Stephen Langton assigned chapter numbers to Bible books and narratives. God led him to put the narratives where they belong. All things happen in their time! This is a week of freedom and release. This week, may the Lord guide to find and be where you belong in life and work.

Week 13 is a book of First Chronicles week. First Chronicles is the thirteenth book of the Bible. Opening with the genealogy of Adam, it moves to Abraham, to Jacob and Jacob’s descendants; and then David. The story of David begins from the 11th chapter and runs till the end of the book. In this book, David is the man after God’s heart and is blameless. The thirteenth book of the Bible reveals that the thirteenth season is the season of families – human families. It is a season of organizing things and people and putting them where they belong. It is also the season of the man among men – the man in the image and likeness of God. In the thirteenth season, God seeks the man who will express his heart and do His will. In First Chronicles, David’s affection and zeal for God is highlighted. With the first as exception, every other day of this week will express four chapters of First Chronicles as follows: first day (1-5); second day (6-9); third day (10-13); fourth day (14-17); fifth day (18-21); sixth day (22-25); seventh day (26-29).

Week 13 is a ‘thirteenth chapters of the Bible’ week.  In Genesis 13, Lot departed from Abraham and God spoke to Abraham about inheriting the land.  In Exodus 13, Israel separated the all firstborn to God and departed Egypt for the Promised Land. In Leviticus 13, God gave commandments concerning the isolation of lepers. In Numbers 13, Joshua and Caleb stood out from the other spies as the agents of God. Deuteronomy 13 is about separation from apostates. In Joshua 13, God commanded Joshua to separate lands for the people. In Judges 13, barrenness ended in the house of Manoah; and Samson was born a Nazirite, fully dedicated to God to deliver Israel from the hand of the Philistines. In First Samuel 13, Saul began to rebel against God; and faced rejection from being king. In Second Samuel 13, Absalom separated from his father’s house and fled to another country after killing Amnon for raping Tamar. In First Kings 13, a man of God fell for failing to separate himself totally to the word of God. In Second Kings 13, Elisha died but his bones raised a dead man burued near him. In John 13, Judas Iscariot is introduced as the one to betray Jesus. He stood out. In Acts 13, Paul and Barnabas departed Antioch to begin their missionary journeys. In Revelation 13, the beast, the false prophet, and the mark of the beast are introduced; as the antithesis of the image of God in man.

The thirteenth chapters of John, Romans, First Corinthians, and Hebrews, reveals that love is important in the thirteenth season. Love is the expression of God. It is the mark of people made in the image and likeness of God. The thirteenth season is an expression of the sixth season in which God made man in His image and likeness. While the Beast marks his own with 666, Go marks His own with Love. Love is the mark of God upon His people.

Week 13 is an Exodus 31-35 week in the second 49 days. The sixth section of the second book of the Bible is applicable to the sixth week in the second 49 days. In the 31st chapter, God chose and called Bezalel and his company, to undertake the task of constructing the tabernacle and the things in it. That was a holy separation. The Golden Calf error, the breaking of the Tablets of the Law, the separation of the sons of Levites to the Lord’s side is recorded in the 32nd chapter. In the 33rd chapter, God commanded Israel to depart Sinai and move on. There Moses desired to see God and have the presence of God go with them. In the 34th chapter, Moses received new tablets of the Law and led Israel to renew covenant with God. In the 35th chapter, Moses received Sabbath regulations, received offerings from the people for the work of the tabernacle, and commissioned Bezalel and his company to do the work. The thirteenth season is a season of separation to God’s assignment.

THE 13TH SEASON AND UNITY

In Genesis 13, Abraham said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren.” In John 13, Jesus said all men will know we are His disciples if we love one another. John 15:13 says there’s no greater love than what Jesus did for us. Romans 13 says, “Love is the fulfilling of the law”. First Corinthians 13 is the love-chapter of the New Testament and tells us that “the greatest is love”. Hebrews 13, opens with “Let brotherly love continue”. What does that tell us? Love is the heart of the 13th season. It is a season we must strive for peace by compromise or force. The 13th President of the United States, Millard Fillmore, kept the Union together with the Compromise of 1850. In the 13th seven years of the United States (1860-1867), the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, secured peace through force. In the Civil War that broke out, one part fought to leave the Union. The Lincoln administration fought to keep the Union together. His emancipation proclamation recognized slaves as humans and not property. Think of this: in the 13th seven years of the US, the 13th amendment made slavery unconstitutional. In the 13th year of Nigeria, NYSC kicked off as a force for peace and national unity. In Second Chronicles 13, there was war between brethren – the northern and southern kingdoms of Israel. In the 13th century, the Fourth Crusade was unfortunately also between Christians – Rome and Constantinople! In the same 13th century, Bible narratives were separated into numbered chapters. This 13th week of the year, keep it in mind that we are brethren . Let there be no strife between us!

Week 13 is Ephesians – Philemon season in the second 49 days. Going through a 7-week season is like taking a journey through the Bible. The season has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four weeks is the Old Testament side. The remaining three weeks is the New Testament side of the season. The 13th week is the 6th week in the second 49 days. It is the second week in the New Testament side of the second 49 days; and has its guiding light in the second 9 books of the New Testament. They are books of instruction on the Christian life and ministry. This is a week of instructions and guidance concerning life and work.

Although week 13 is a week to manifest the image and likeness of God in man, without understanding, week 13 can become a week of disagreements and provocations leading to war, destruction, and death. It can become a week of hate and oppression. It can become a week of rebellion against God leading to judgmental misfortunes. Pray this week into alignment and conformity to God’s will; and stay in line as well.

PRAYER

This week, Lord, lead me to where I belong. Lead me back to the original vision and word. This week, Lord, speak the word that would move me to where I should be. Let the things that belong to me locate me. Let things and people that are not part of me go away from me. Cause division between me and things that are not part of me. Unite me with mine. Deliver me from fighting to unite what you had divided; and from fighting to divide what you have united. This week, separate people and things that should not be together; and join people and things that should be together.

This is the week of organization and packaging. Happy 13th week!

The Mystery of the 12th Week (March 19-25)

0

Welcome to the 12th week of the year! Week 12 is the fifth week in the second 49 days of the year. The Bible key for understanding the twelfth day or season is the fifth day of creation, the 12th book of the Bible, and the 12th chapters of the Bible, Exodus 25-30 (fifth 6 chapters of the second book of the Bible), the first 9 books of the New Testament.

Week 12 is a fifth day of creation week. On the fifth day, God filled the empty waters with abundance of living (moving) creatures; and created the birds to fly over the earth. The fifth day of creation is unique for the following reasons: it is –

1. The beginning of movement on the earth – birds and sea creatures.

2. The beginning of flesh and blood in God’s creation.

3. The beginning of verbal communication – chirping and singing birds.

4. The beginning of seeing and sensing and breathing.

5. The beginning of blessings. God blessed His creation with fruitfulness and multiplication for the first time.

6. The beginning of life in the waters.

7. The beginning of prey-predator relationships. That is the reason for oppression in fifth seasons.

8. The beginning of think-ability in creation.

9. The beginning of mating (sex) and egg production.

10. The beginning of creatures of balance – moving with fins and wings.

From the account of the fifth day of creation, we learn that the fifth season is a season of life, movement, freedom, equity, abundance, blessings, visions and revelations, and of reaching depths and heights. This 12 week is a week of radical new beginnings. It is a season of departure from the norm and the usual.

Week 12 is a book-of-Second-Kings week. The book of Second Kings is the twelfth book of the Bible. This is the only book of the Bible that ends in the 25th chapter. It is a story of revival and declension. Elijah’s ministry experienced a revival and he ended up leaving the earth without dying. The first time a man left the earth without dying was in the fifth chapter of Genesis. That man was Enoch. The fifth season is flight-time. In the 12th book of the Bible, Elisha’s ministry of power and intervention began in this book. The 12th season is a season of adversities in which God, in His mercy, intervenes to bring help to men. The 12th season is a season of crying out God for salvation, healing, sustenance, and restoration. Elisha was the answer in the 12th book of the Bible. God used Elisha to move people into new levels by delivering them from afflictions, distresses, destruction, and death. The ministry of Elisha culminated in the anointing of Jehu for destruction of the house of Ahab. The twelfth season is a season of revival. There were reformations of religion in the 12th book of the Bible; but the book sadly ended with the fall and captivity of Judah and Jerusalem. The fifth season is an up-down season if God is disregarded; but if God is honored, it is a down-up season. May this 12th week of the year be a week of powerful spiritual movements; a week of demonstrations and manifestations of God’s power; a week of great deliverance, and salvation; a week of inexplicable triumphs over death.

Week 12 is a twelfth-chapters-of-the-Bible week. The twelfth chapters of the Bible reveal that the 12th season is a season of departures and a new beginning. It is also a season of escapes from death and distress. In Genesis 12, Abraham departed his country and family; and also escaped the scourge of famine in the new land. In Exodus 12, the Passover happened; and the firstborns of Israelites escaped death on the night of Passover. In First Samuel 12, Samuel gave His farewell address before Israel. In First Kings 12, ten tribes seceded from the United Kingdom of Israel. In John 12, the Jews planned to kill Lazarus and Jesus, after Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead, but they could not. In Acts 12, Peter escaped death at the hands of Herod – after Herod had beheaded James. Herod died mysteriously in this chapter. In Revelation 12, the Man-child, whom the dragon wanted to devour, was caught up to heaven and escaped death. Death comes in the 12th season, but God also grants escape from death in the same season. Zachary Taylor, the anti-slavery, anti-secession, 12th president of the United States, died after 16 months in office; and after 5 days of illness. The ‘unsinkable’ Titanic sank in 1912; on April 14-15. Over 1500 people (many of whom were famous) died in the disaster. Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, was delivered from death and imprisonment to become the 12th leader of Nigerian government. There were several deaths in that season including the death of the First Lady. The spirit of death is very active in the twelfth season; but so also the spirit of life and preservation. The 12th season is ordained for deliverance and departures. It is a time to move up to the next level. The 12th season favors freedom and liberty. In the 12th seven years of the United States (1853-1860), the anti-slavery Republican Party was formed; paving way for Abraham Lincoln and his Emancipation Proclamation. Bleeding Kansas happened in the 12th seven years of the United States.

Week 12 is an Exodus 25-30 day in the second 49 days of the year. Within these chapters, Israel gave free-will offerings for the tabernacle. God collaborates with people in the 12th season. God gave instructions concerning the construction of the tabernacle, the altars, and the garments of the priests. Aaron and his sons were consecrated. What is the reason for the focus on the construction of the tabernacle in the fifth six chapters of Exodus? The Tabernacle was intended to be the Habitation of God among men. From the Tabernacle, men can receive answers from God. The 12th season is a season of great needs that compel men to seek help from God. The 12th is also  a season of offerings and sacrifices. This is a season to demonstrate loyalty through devotion, offerings, and sacrifices. The twelfth book of the Bible has several accounts of generosity. In John 12, Mary broke the alabaster and lavishly anointed Jesus with the oil. It was a costly offering. In Acts 12, Paul and Barnabas were in Jerusalem with gifts and offerings from the church at Antioch. Romans 12:1 says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service”. First Corinthians 12 is about the gifts of the Holy Spirit to believers and the church. The twelfth season is a season of offerings and sacrifices.

The 12th week is a Psalm 78-84 week – a psalm for each day of the week. Going through the 12th week is like going through the 12th seven Psalms. These seven psalms are a desperate plea for intervention and deliverance. The 12th week is a time to cry out to God for help.

Week 12 is a Matthew – Galatians week in the second 49 days of the year. Every 49 day season has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four weeks (in every 49 days) is the Old Testament side of the season. The remaining 3 weeks is the New Testament side. Week 12 is the beginning of the New Testament side of the second 49 days; and has its guiding light in the first 9 books of the New Testament. These books tell the story of Jesus and the Church. The 12th week is a Jesus week. It is a week of divine interventions. As the New Testament began with the Gospel, may the Lord fill this week with good news for you.

May the Lord move you, in this 12th week of the year, out of disempowering limitations; and move you into empowering freedom and liberty! Welcome to the week of good news. This is a week of freedom regained; the barren womb conceived; the hungry fed; the poor made rich; the bound loosed; the sick healed, and the dead raised. This is a week of good news. Let evil news be far away from you this week. In Psalm 12:5, God says, “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.” Happy 12th week!

12TH WEEK PRAYERS:

1. In the name of Jesus, this week, let destruction and death pass over me.

2. Lord, use me, this week, as a channel of deliverance and salvation. This week, deliver those who are appointed to death and destruction.

3. This week, let the Herods of this year sink into the pit.

4. Grant me sensitivity of heart to make progressive moves, and advance higher, in your plan and purpose for my life.

5. This week, let my life be to the Lord, a living sacrifice and offering.

Week 11: The Mystery of March 12-18

0

Welcome to the eleventh week of the year. Week 11 is the fourth week in the second 49 days of the year. It is days 22-28 in the second 7 weeks of the year. Week 11 is a fourth-season week; and the Bible-keys for understanding the eleventh season are the fourth day of creation, the fourth six chapters of Exodus (the book of the Bible foreshadowing the second 49 days), the eleventh book of the Bible, and the eleventh chapters of the Bible.

Week 11 is a fourth-day-of-creation week in the Second 49 days. God made luminaries on the fourth day of creation  “… to DIVIDE the day from the night; and let them be for SIGNS AND SEASONS, and for days and years; [15] and let them be for LIGHTS in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; He made the luminaries to “give light on the earth, [18] and to RULE over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness”. The luminaries were made to keep the earth lightened, organized, and running smoothly. The world would be chaotic without the luminaries. Why did God create lights on the fourth day; after He had said “Let there be light” on the first day? The fourth season is a fight-back season for darkness and disorder. The fourth book and chapters of the Bible reveal that the tempter and adversary comes in the fourth season. The eleventh week is a fourth-season week. It is a fight-back season for darkness; but the guiding-light is the answer the season requires.

Week 11 is an eleventh-book-of-the-Bible week. The eleventh book of the Bible is First Kings and is guiding light for 11th seasons. In this book, Solomon prospered through organization. The first part of the book is about Solomon’s wisdom, works, work-force, wealth, women, and weakness. By wisdom, Solomon administered Israel to greatness. Israel became a center of excellence and a tourist attraction. However, Solomon was not wary of the presence of the tempter. He was king in a fight-back-season for darkness. His heart misled him to marry many foreign women; and thereby opened up Israel to idol-worship. He was a man of great wisdom; a great brain; a great mind; but he was overcome by spiritual darkness because he did not use the light from God’s word or from the spiritual leaders around him. Through Solomon, idolatry invaded the land of Israel; and the nation never fully recovered from that scourge. The eleventh season is duty-season for deceiving spirits; and that should make us very watchful. The kingdom divided in two in the season following Solomon’s reign. Ten tribes deserted the house of David, came to be known as ‘Israel’, Samaria, or the northern kingdom, and were sold out to idol worship. The remaining two tribes, loyal to the house of David, came to be known as Judah or the southern kingdom. The eleventh season is a time to watch against disunity and division. In the eleventh season, you must watch against splits. It happened the eleventh century with the Great Schism. It happened in Genesis 11 at the construction site of the Tower of Babel. It happened in the eleventh book of the Bible. Unity is the strength of eleventh; and so, disruption of unity is the target of the adversary in the season. To respond to the idolatry in the eleventh book of the Bible, especially in the northern kingdom, God raised prophets to confront the erring kings and their people. Elijah was one of them. He confronted Israel, with great demonstrations of spiritual power, in the days of Ahab and Jezebel. Ahab, deceived by his false prophets, died in battle in the last chapter of this book. The 22-chapter book of First Kings is spread through the week as follows: first day (1 Kings 1-4); second day 1 Kings 5-7); third day (1 Kings 8-10); fourth day (1 Kings 11-13); fifth day (1 Kings 14-16); sixth day (1 Kings 17-19; seventh day (1 Kings 20-22). The eleventh season is a season of great blessing and great testing. It is a season of blessing that can be marred through spiritual blindness and insensitivity. In this season, the kingdom of darkness fights back with deception leading to materialism, moral decadence, seeking alternatives to faith in God, splits, wickedness, and economic hardship. In the same season, God gives helpful light through the law, wise counsel, and prophetic ministry.

Week 11 is an eleventh-chapters-of-the-Bible week. The eleventh chapters of the Bible reveal that in the eleventh season, men advance greatly but suffer through mental darkness. It is a season of experiencing either the divine master-stroke or satanic master-stroke. Without spiritual light, the eleventh season is a season of gross darkness and great deception. The Tower of Babel was started and abandoned in Genesis 11. The master-stroke plague against Pharaoh and Egypt was introduced in Exodus 11. Joshua’s victories against the Canaanite kings and nations is recorded in Joshua 11. The chapter ends with “Then the land rested from war”. In First Samuel 11, the heart of Nahash, king of Ammon, was lifted to his own hurt and defeat. David’s affair with Bathsheba happened in Second Samuel 11. God’s displeasure with Solomon is recorded in First Kings 11. The imprisonment and weariness of John the Baptist is recorded in Matthew 11. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead in John 11. Hebrews 11 is Faith’s master-stroke chapter.  God’s two witnesses appeared in Revelation 11; and in the chapter also, it is announced that the kingdoms of this earth have become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ. The eleventh season is the season of ‘the last straw that breaks the camel’s back – for good or for bad’. It is the season of the best and the worst, the greatest and the least, the highest and the lowest, the first and the last. The eleventh season is a season of unprecedented exploits in material and spiritual realms. It is a season of fame-spreading-abroad. It can also be a season of great declension. Elijah fled from Jezebel in the 11th book of the Bible. Both Muammar Ghadaffi and Osama bib Laden were killed in 2011. The 13th U.S Vice-President, William R.D King, died April 18, 1853; after 44 days in office; and less than 3 months to the end of America’s 11th seven years. The 14th president, Franklin Pierce, had lost his 11 years old only surviving child to train accident shortly before his inauguration.

The Bible also reveals that human flesh is so vulnerable, and human arrogance reaches the peak, in the eleventh season. Consider the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11, the failure of David in Second Samuel 11,  the failures of Solomon, Rehoboam, Jeroboam, the young prophet, and the fall of kings – down to Ahab – in the eleventh book of the Bible, the weariness of John the Baptist in Matthew 11, the 11th century Great Schism in the Church that has lasted 1000 years, or the the fall of Bin Laden and Gaddafi in 2011. Though the fleshly man is weak in the eleventh season, those who know their God are strong to do exploits in the same season. Daniel 11:32 says, “Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits”. The Spirit came on seventy elders in Numbers 11. Jephthah defeated his enemies in Judges 11, Saul defeated the Ammonites in First Samuel 11, Elijah the Tishbite rose and did exploits in the 11th book of the Bible. The first incidence of raising someone from the dead is recorded in the 11th book of the Bible. Jesus cleansed the temple and cursed the fruitless fig tree in Mark 11, taught importunity in Prayer in Luke 11, and raised Lazarus from the dead in John 11. Agabus prophesied in Acts 11, exploits of faith are recorded in Hebrews 11, John’s vision of the two dynamic witness is recorded in Revelation 11. The eleventh season is a time to pray great prayers and be heard. Solomon and Elijah prayed in the eleventh book of the Bible and were heard. Jesus wept and prayed in John 11 and was heard.

Week 11 is an Exodus 19-24 week in the second 49 days of the year. Within these six chapters, Israel received the Law at Sinai – light to guide her in a world of darkness. In the book of Exodus, God made room for His people and demonstrated His power and love towards them. The first 18 chapters of Exodus communicates the love of God to Israel. From the 19th chapter, God began to demand commitment from His people. In the 20th chapter, God gave the Ten Commandments. In the 21st chapter, there are commandments about servants, violence, and animal control. The 22nd to the 24th chapters are still laws. Exodus 19-24 are about recognizing and respecting the rights of God and the rights of men. The 11th week is a bridge-week. Men are tempted, in the eleventh season, to disregard the rights of others and overstep boundaries. Men are tempted, in the eleventh season, to take what does not belong them. The eleventh season is a season of guiding-lights. The Law was light to Israel. Proverbs 6:23 says,  “For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life”. The key to success in the eleventh season is unreserved commitment to God’s principles. It is a season of ‘God First’. Those who do not give God first place in the eleventh season suffer great losses. God’s word must be your only Light in the 11th season.

The 11th week is Obadiah – Malachi week in the second 49 days of the year. Every seven-week (49-day) season has an Old Testament side and a New Testament side. The first four weeks (or 28 days) is the Old Testament side of the seven-week season. The remaining three weeks (or 21 days) is the New Testament side of the seven-week (49-day) season. Week 11 is the fourth and last week in the Old Testament side of the season; and has its guiding light in the last nine books of the Old Testament. The eleventh week is the bridge-week in the second 49 days of the year. It is the bridge-week connecting the Old Testament side and the New Testament side of the season. The last 9 books of the Old Testament (Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi) are lights for the season. They are books of tests and trials. They are books of failure, correction, and recovery. May the week be, for you, a season of triumphs and recovery from failure.

Week 11 is a Psalm 71-77 week. The 11th week consists of Days 71-77 and have guiding lights in the 11th seven Psalms. Men are tempted to act independently in the 11th season. We see in the tower builders of Genesis 11; in David’s affair with Bathsheba in Second Samuel 11. The 11th book of the Bible is full of stories of people acting independently – Adonijah, Solomon, Rehoboam, the man of God from Judah, the kings of Israel from Jeroboam to Ahab and Jezebel, and Hiel of Bethel who rebuilt Jericho. In the 11th seven Psalms (71-77), the psalmist expresses dependence on God; and warns those who act independently. Psalm 73:27 says, “For indeed, those who are far from You shall perish; You have destroyed all those who desert You for harlotry.”

Week 11 is a season of tests. In the eleventh book of the Bible, God gave Solomon a blank check to see what he would fill in. He told him to ask whatever he wanted. He asked for Wisdom and passed the test. He was tested for loyalty to God with prosperity and he failed the test. Rehoboam, Jeroboam, Ahab and Jezebel were tested with power. They all failed the test. The faith of the widow of Zarephat was tested. She passed. Elijah also passed the tests of loyalty and commitment to God. Elisha passed the test of faith in God. He forsook everything and followed Elijah. The result of passing a test is blessing or promotion. In the eleventh season, you must not fall into the temptation of doing everything you have the power to do. Give honor to God because He is watching you. The Bible reveals that men are not as wise as they ought to be in eleventh seasons. That is the reason the mighty fall in eleventh seasons. Do not take what is not yours in the eleventh; so that what is yours will not be taken from you. The 11th book and chapters of the Bible give this warning. Those who take what is not theirs, always have what is theirs taken from them.

This eleventh week of the year, you will not give in to the flesh or stumble in this week. It is your week of exploits by the Spirit of God. This week, sensitize your heart and mind, with God’s word, and be on your guard against the tempter and his schemes. This week, nobody will take what belongs to you; and you will not overstep your own bounds. This week, you will not lose unity and harmony to quarrels, disputes, and division. Happy eleventh week!

The Mystery of the 10th Week (March 5-11)

0

Welcome to the 10th week of the year. The tenth week is the third week in the second 49 days of the year. The tenth is the third in the second seven. The tenth week is the week of March 5-11 in a clear year and March 4-10 in a leap year. So, Week 10 is a third-season week. The major Bible patterns for understanding the tenth week are 1) the third-day-of-creation narrative; 2) the third book of the Bible; 3) the third six chapters of Exodus; 4) the tenth book of the Bible; 5) the tenth chapters of the Bible. Here are five things about the tenth week from the patterns:

1. Week 10 is a third-day-of-creation week in the Second 49 days of the year. On the third day of creation, God overthrew the waters under heaven, gathered it in one place; and caused the dry ground (earth) to manifest as a new platform for good. On the third day, God also commanded the dry ground to bring forth vegetation. As a third season week, the tenth week is a week of overthrows, a week of manifesting new platforms; a week of bringing forth sustenance by releasing what is in you. As God fought His last battle against the waters on the third day of creation, this is the week of the last battle for your victory.

2. Week 10 is a book-of-Leviticus week in the second 49 days of the year. Leviticus is the third book of the Bible. This book is about the priesthood, the offerings, sacrifices, the tabernacle, the feasts, and laws that sustained Israel’s relationship with God. The priests and Levites were descendants of the third son of Jacob , Levi, and were responsible for standing in the gap between a Israel and God. They had no other business in Israel. The tenth week is a week of consecration to God; and ensuring peace with Him. As a book of Leviticus week, the tenth week is for priestly intercession. It is for standing in the gap to ensure peace with God and keep destruction away. Without prayerful intervention, the tenth week is a week of overthrows. As you give yourself to prayer in this 10th week, God will take over the battles of the week.

3. Week 10 (the third week in the second 49 days of the year) is an Exodus 13-18 week. Exodus is the second book of the Bible and is applicable to the second 49 days of the year. This third section of Exodus (the third six chapters) is applicable to the third week in the second 49 days of the year. In Exodus 13, Israel began their journey through the wilderness; and everything in this section of Exodus relates to the wilderness. Here, God laid claim to the firstborn of all that Israel has – man or animal. In Exodus 14, God divided the Red Sea, made way for Israel to cross over on dry ground, but swallowed up the Egyptians chasing the Israelites. In Exodus 15, Moses and Miriam led Israel to sing to God. In that chapter, also, God delivered Israel from thirst and dehydration. In Exodus 16, He gave Israel bread from heaven (Manna). In Exodus 17, God gave Israel water from a dry rock as Moses struck the rock by the leading of God. In this chapter, also, Israel fought and defeated Amalek. In Exodus 18, God gave Moses wisdom for the work through Jethro, his father-in-law. Exodus 13-18 shows that tenth week is a week of deliverances, triumphs, and sustenance. The tenth week is a week of offerings to the Lord. It is also a week of accountability and mentoring guidance; such as happened between Moses and Jethro. This week, the Lord will overthrow your enemies and deliver you from trouble and danger. He will provide for you. He will fight your battles and lead you to victory.

4. Week 10 is a book-of-Second-Samuel week. Second Samuel is the 10th book of the Bible; and is applicable to the 10th week. In this book, the house of Saul finally went down and David became king of all Israel. In this book, David and his mighty men subdued the Philistines and the surrounding enemy nations. He established Jerusalem as the city of God and brought the ark to Jerusalem. The enemy disappears in the tenth season. In this book, David was king, priest, and prophet. He also received prophetic guidance from Nathan and Gad. David had a moral failure in this book; but God had mercy on him; and restored him to his throne. The book of Second Samuel reveals that the tenth week is a week of breakthrough, establishment, triumphs, and laying strong spiritual foundation for the future. The tenth week is a week of pressures that makes prayer a life-line. The tenth book of the Bible is full of accounts of death, murder, and assassination. There were reports of death in the first four chapters of the 10th book of the Bible. The tenth season is an anti-death season but swallows those who violate the season’s rules for life. If you spread the 24-chapter book through the seven-day week, each day of the week would express three chapters. The remaining three chapter will go to the first three days of the week as follows: day 1 (2 Samuel 1-4); day 2 (2 Samuel 5-8); day 3 (2 Samuel 9-12); day 4 (2 Samuel 13-15); day 5 (2 Samuel 16-18); day 6 (2 Samuel 19-21; day 7 (2 Samuel 23-24). This week, may the Lord keep you far from evil news and mourning.

5. Week 10 is a tenth-chapters-of-the-Bible week. Every purpose under heaven has its season; and every season has it purpose. The tenth chapters of the Bible reveal three major things about the tenth season: (a) The tenth season is a season of battles, conflicts, and overthrows. It is a season of power clashes, victories and overthrows. Noah was the tenth from Adam; and in his days, God battled rebellious humanity with the most deadly flood in history. The genealogy of the sons of Noah is listed in Genesis 10. They formed the new earth of Noah’s day. In Exodus 10, God fought Egypt with locusts and darkness. In Leviticus 10, the two sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu perished for offering profane fire. In Joshua 10, God fought for Israel against the five kings of the Canaanites with the forces of nature.  In Judges 10, Israel was greatly distressed because of their enemies. Tola and Jair were Judges in this chapter. The trouble in this chapter paved way for the emergence of Jephthah. In Second Samuel 10, David fought the Ammonites and the Syrians. The troubles of David began when kings went to war and he sat back in his palace. The tenth season is not a time of ease. In Daniel 10, Michael fought the resisting Prince of Persia so Gabriel can deliver answers to Daniel’s prayers. In Acts 10, God gave Peter gave new light against the understanding he had always had. Grace overthrew Law. First Corinthians 10 talks about those who came out of Egypt but were overthrown in the wilderness. In Second Corinthians 10, Paul reminds us that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through. The tenth season is battle-season! It is a season of intense spiritual warfare.  (b) The tenth season is for the establishment and realization of dreams and expectations. It is a season of delivering answers to prayers. In Exodus 10, Egypt had darkness, but there was light in Goshen. It was the end of dialogue and negotiation between Moses and Pharaoh. In Joshua 10, the servant of God, Joshua, withstood darkness from overtaking him by commanding the sun and the moon to stand still. They obeyed him. In the tenth chapter of First Samuel, Saul was anointed king secretly and prophesied publicly. Samuel also told him his father’s donkeys had been found. David became king in 10th book of the Bible. In Esther 10, Mordecai sat beside the King of Persia and ruled with Him. In Daniel 10, Michael fought against, and overpowered, the prince of Persia that withstood Gabriel and the revelation (understanding) he was bringing to Daniel. Zechariah 10 says if we ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain, He would send us lightning, showers of rain, and food in the fields. In the tenth chapters of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, prayers were answered through the ministries of Jesus and his disciples. In Acts 10, Cornelius prayed four days; to receive to angelic visitation; and, also, the word and revelation that came to his household and friends from Peter. Cornelius’ prayers were answered and he and his family were filled with the Spirit as Peter preached. (c). The tenth week is a season of “no more delay”. The angel of Revelation 10 declared there shall be no more delays. In Joshua 10, Joshua prayed for an extended day instead of delayed victory. He didn’t want the night to push the battle to another day. In Acts 10, things happened in quick succession. There was no delay. God told him to go with those who came to see him “doubting nothing”. Peter said, “I came as soon as I was sent for”; “and while Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit fell on those who heard the word”. Delay is dangerous in the tenth season. It was delay that killed the ‘counsel of Ahitophel’ in the 10th book of the Bible. Ahitophel did not want delay in attacking David’s camp; but Hushai introduced the element of delay to undermine Ahitophel. Amasa died because of delay in the 10th book of the Bible (chapter 20). Psalm 70, which applies to the 70th day of the year (the last day of the tenth week) begins with “make haste” and ends with “do not delay”. When the 9th president of the United States, William Harrison, died after one month in office, there was no constitutional succession plan. The Vice President, John Tyler, did not wait for any new law to be passed. He assumed presidency. No delay!

6. Week 10 is a Psalm 64-70 week. The 10th seven Psalms are applicable to the tenth seven days of the year.

7. Week 10 is a Ecclesiastes – Amos week in the Second 49 days of the year. Going through any seven-week season is like taking a journey through the Bible. Going through the first four weeks is like journeying through the 39 books of the Old Testament. Going through the last three weeks is like journeying through the 27 books of the New Testament. The 10th week is the third week in the Second 49 days; and has its guiding light in the third 10 books of the Bible. The third 10 books are Ecclesiastes. Song of Songs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, and Amos. The books focus on the overthrow of people and nations that are out of alignment with God’s purposes; and the establishment of people and nations that are in alignment with God’s purposes.

This week, may the Lord give you the good things of the tenth season; and deliver you from the challenges of the season. May answers to your prayers be delivered to you. Every ‘broken-enemy’ of the ninth week that will come after you in the tenth week will fall before you! Happy 10th week!

HOW TO LIVE IN THE TENTH SEASON

  1. 1. Do not be afraid to open your mouth. The word is in your mouth. Walk by faith. Saul prophesied in First Samuel 10.

2. Do not procrastinate. Proverbs 10:5 says “He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame”.

3. Pray and expect answers.

PRAYERS FOR THE 10TH WEEK

1. Deliver me from the defeated enemy of the ninth week that will revive and come after me in this tenth week. Let them all be consumed.

2. Turn the wilderness of this tenth week into a fruitful field; and give me streams in the desert. Lead me to your hidden provisions for this season.

3. Help me that I may not be distracted by vanities this tenth week as David was deceived to take Uriah’s wife and number Israel in the tenth book of Israel.

4. Give me victory in the battles of this week. Let the Amalekites and the Philistines, the Syrians, and the Moabites fall before me this week.

5. Give me the wisdom that would carry me through the work of this season; as you gave to Moses through his father in-law.

The Mystery of the 9th Week (February 26 – March 4)

0

Welcome to the ninth week of the year. The 9th week is the second week in the second 49 days of the year. It is a core second-season week. In a Clear Year, it is February 26 – March 4; but in a Leap Year, it is February 26 – March 3. We can gain understanding about the 9th week from the second day of creation narrative, the ninth book and ninth chapters of the Bible, the 9th seven books of the Bible, and the second six chapters of Exodus (7-12). May a full package of the good things of the ninth week be your portion this week. What is revealed here about the ninth week is equally applicable to people going through the ninth seven years of life (57-63); and to countries going through their ninth seven years of nationhood.

Week 9 is a second-day-of-creation week. On the second day of creation, God created the firmament to break the monopoly of the waters; and make room for other things to exist. As God released the monopoly-breaker on the second day of creation, the ninth week is  for breaking oppressive monopolies and making room for others. It is for making a way where there is no way.

Week 9 is a book-of-First-Samuel week. Every numbered season has its guiding in the Bible book that corresponds to the number of the season. First Samuel is the ninth book of the Bible; and is applicable to the 9th week. The book stands for the emergence of new leaders to fill a leadership void, the recovery of what is lost, the demonstration of God’s power in answer to prayers, and the overthrow of monopolies. This is a week of leadership-change, recovery of lost things, answers to fervent prayers, and thwarting evil monopolies. May the heart of Hannah, Samuel, and David come alive in you this week.

Week 9 is an Exodus 7-12 week. This is the second of the seven divisions of Exodus covering the second seven weeks of the year. In this second section of Exodus, Moses released ten plagues to pressurize Pharaoh to release Israel. Pharaoh and Egypt came under intense pressure by reason of the successive plagues. Through the plagues, Pharaoh’s  monopoly of power was broken. This ninth week is for mounting intense pressure on, and breaking the strength of, evil monopolies. This is a week of protests for progressive and positive change. It is a season of war for freedom. It is a season of war against oppression.

Week 9 is a ninth chapters of the Bible week. The ninth chapters of the Bible reveal that the ninth season is (1) for the emergence of new leaders (the 9th chapters of Genesis, First Samuel, Second Kings, Matthew, Acts bear witness to this); (2) for vows and covenants (see the ninth chapters of Genesis, Joshua, First Samuel); (3) for reversing plans of destruction and stopping the hands of death (Genesis 9, Judges, 9 First Samuel 9, Esther 9, Acts 9).

Week 9 is a ninth-seven books of the Bible week. The ninth seven books of the Bible are Philemon, Hebrews, James, First Peter, Second Peter, First John, and Second John. The ninth seven books are books of change, recovery, and restoration. In the 57th book of the Bible, Philemon recovers what he lost in and through Onesimus, his slave. In the 58th book, the author of the book of Hebrews focuses on change from the old covenant to the new covenant. In the 59th book, James writes about the recovery of authentic Christianity. In the 60th book, Peter draws attention to Christ-like faith amid persecution and suffering. The 61st book is about recovery of the true doctrines of our faith. In the 62nd book, John draws attention to the Life, Light, and Love. The 63rd book, written to the ‘elect lady’ is call to walk in the truth, shun idolatry and the anti-Christ. The ninth seven books of the Bible are about returning to what should be. May this ninth week bring change, recovery, and restoration to you.

REVIEW OF 9TH SEASON FEATURES

Here are four broad features revealed in the Bible about the ninth season:

A. It is a week of help to the helpless. In the ninth season, the hopeless rejoice (The Gibeonites in Joshua 9; Saul in First Samuel 9; Mephiboshet in Second Samuel 9; Jehu in Second Kings 9; The Jews in Esther 9; The sick and afflicted in Matthew 9, Luke 9, and Mark 9; The Man born blind in John 9; Aeneas and Dorcas in Acts 9). Believe God, this week,  for surprising visitations in the area of need.

B. It is a week of recoveries. In the ninth season, lost things are recovered. In the 9th book of the Bible, the Philistines returned the Ark they captured. In the ninth chapter of that book, the lost donkeys belonging to Saul’s father were found. In the 30th chapter of that book, David pursued his enemies and recovered all he lost to them. In Acts 9, God recovered a lost soul in Saul of Tardus. Saul recovered his sight; Aeneas recovered his health; and Dorcas recovered her life This week, you will celebrate the recovery of things you lost.

C. It is a week of reversing the plans of the wicked. This week, what the wicked had planned for others will return to the head of the wicked. The ninth season is when evil returns to those who plan it. In this season, the opposite of what the wicked thinks happens. It is a season when God treads down the enemies of his people. In Judges 9, Abimelech perished for stretching his hands against his father’s house, killing the sons of his father, and making himself king. In the 9th book of the Bible, the Philistines hurt themselves for seizing the ark of covenant; Goliath perished for standing up against the armies of the living God; and king Saul, who wanted to see David dead, died. In Second Kings 9, God raised Jehu against the house of Ahab. In Esther 9, the battle turned against those who had prepared to destroy the Jews. The Jews overpowered their enemies. In Acts 9, Saul of Tarsus encountered Jesus Christ on the way to Damascus; and his evil plan was aborted. This is a week of the Boomerang – to give to the wicked and evil people a taste of what they intend to give to others. This week, the Lord will arrest the raging of the wicked in your favor.

D. It is a week of intense pressure to weaken and break the backbone of the enemy. The plagues that came down on Egypt in Exodus 7-12 brought Pharaoh and his people to their knees. The plagues of tumor on the Philistines and the destruction of the image of their compelled them to return the Ark to Israel. This week, the Lord will put intense pressure on the enemy to give up on your case. Amen!

Saul of Tarsus was on a mission to destroy in Acts 9 before Jesus Christ stopped him. The Jews in Persia were to be annihilated in Esther 9 before the opposite occurred. Jehu was anointed for the destruction of the House of Ahab in Second Kings 9. The tormenting locusts from the bottomless pit were released in Revelation 9. The Bible reveals that the ‘9th’ is the strikers target. Both Heaven and hell strike in the ninth season. Nigeria’s 9th national leader was in office for 84 days before being ousted. The 9th US President served only 31 days before his death. Even 9/11 wasn’t just something that could have happened any other month of the year. This 9th week of the year., Heaven will strike against those who want to strike you. May the Lord grant you recoveries instead of losses.

Happy 9th week of the year!

PRAYERS FOR THE 9TH WEEK

1. O Lord, reverse the plans of the wicked. Let the killers and abductors be arrested and their plans frustrated. Let the tide turn against killers and destroyers by a supernatural twist. In the 9th book of the Bible, the killer-Goliath was killed, and King Saul could not kill David. In Esther 9, the plans of the Persians against the Jews backfired. In Acts 9, the spirit of death working through Paul and diseases we’re arrested. O Lord, let the enemy come under intense pressure; and let his backbone be broken. Let the prey be freed from the predator.

2. O Lord, make a way for what is lost to be recovered, in the lives of individuals, families, institutions, and nations. This week, let there be a recovery of lost things. In the 9th chapter of the 9th book of the Bible, Saul sought for the lost donkeys of his father. In the 30th chapter of the same First Samuel, David and his men recovered their abducted families.

3. O Lord, let there be a change of guard this week. Let change happen in the church, in organizations, and in nations. Let there be a shift in power holding in nations. In Second Kings 9, Jehu was anointed to overthrow the House of Ahab.

4. Let there be opening of eyes this week. Let the seer-anointing come upon God’s people to see hidden things and things we have never seen before. In the ninth chapter of the ninth book of the Bible, Samuel was a Seer. In the ninth chapter of John, a man born blind man was healed. In the ninth chapter of Acts, Saul of Tarsus was healed from blindness.

The Mystery of the 8th Week (February 19-25)

0

Welcome to the 8th week of the year. The 8th week is the week beginning the second 49 days (seven weeks) of the year. The eighth is a new beginning. We can gain understanding about this week from the first day of creation, the eighth book and eighth chapters of the Bible, the eighth seven books of the Bible, and the first six chapters of Exodus.

The 8th week of the year is a first day of creation week in the second 49 days. On the first day of creation, God released light against darkness. The light was released to undo darkness. The eighth season is a time of undoing and redoing. It is a time to undo the error of the previous seasons. It is a season of intense battle between light and darkness.

The 8th week is a book of Ruth week in the year. Ruth is the eighth book of the Bible; and is applicable to the 8th week of the year. In that book, the family of Elimelech ran into misfortune following their relocation from Judah to Moab. The man and his two adult sons died making their wives widows. It was a major attack because the Messiah was destined to come through this family. They left their home country in a time of famine. When Naomi , the man’s widow heard that famine had ended she decided to return to Judah. Her daughter in-law, Ruth, decided to go with her. Eventually Ruth gets married to Boaz and both became great grandparents to David, the king of Israel. The wrong had been undone. Light prevailed over darkness. The season began with pain and ended with joy.

The 8th week is an Exodus 1-6 week in the second 49 days of the year. The oppression of Israel by the Egyptians began in the first chapter of Exodus. Moses was born in the second chapter and made attempt to fight Egyptians one man at a time. His plan did not work. Things changed when he encountered God in Exodus 3 and received a call to go to Egypt and deliver his people, the Israelites. He was reluctant to answer the call and made excuses in Exodus 4. In the fifth chapter, he and his brother Aaron, went to Pharaoh to demand Israel’s release. He continued with the demand in Exodus 6. That was a new beginning for both Moses and Israel. May this eighth week be the beginning of a positive new story in your life.

The 8th week is an eighth chapters of the Bible week. The eight chapters of the Bible reveal that the eighth season is for making a new beginning. Noah’s family began a new earth in Genesis 8. In First Samuel 8, Israel asked Samuel for a king. In Acts 8, the church made a new turn as Philip went to Samaria with the gospel.

The eighth book and chapters of the Bible reveal that the 8th season is a season of pressure-driven movements and relocations. In Genesis 8, Noah and his family (eight people) came out the ark that saved them from the flood to begin life in a ‘scary world’ of only 8 people. The rest of humanity had died in the flood; having their flesh and bones littered all over. In the 8th book of the Bible, Elimelech and his family moved from Judah to Moab because of famine. Even Naomi’s return to Judah from Moab, with Ruth, was still out of pressure. In First Samuel 8, Israel made the decision to move from theocracy to monarchy. In Second Kings 8, the Shunemite woman moved to the land of the Philistines, by the word of the Lord, because of famine. In Acts 8, the believers in Jerusalem moved into the regions of Judea and Samaria because of persecution. The 8th season is a season of movements that may be rough at the beginning but will eventually end with rejoicing. May the Lord order your steps in this 8th week of the year. This week in 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine; causing many Ukrainians to flee their country.

The eighth book and chapters of the Bible also reveal that the eighth season is a season of fierce battles. Darkness-orchestrated war rages in the spirit in the 8th season. Elimelech’s family was victim of, and casualty in, spiritual warfare in the 8th book of the Bible, Ruth. Moses released the second and third and fourth plagues (frogs, lice, and flies) against Egypt in Exodus 8. Israel fought Ai in Joshua 8. In Judges 8, Israel, under Gideon’s leadership subdued the Midianites. Gideon also killed Zebah and Zalmunna. In First Samuel 8, Israel wanted a king who could lead the nation to war and fight her battles. In Second Samuel 8, David fought battles and subdued the Philistines, Moabites, Syrians, and Edomites. The nations became his servants. In Daniel 8, ‘the male goat’ nation confronted the warring and conquering ‘ram’ nation and subdued it. The goat was eventually overpowered. In Acts 8, Philip’s ministry in Samaria overthrew demons and dethroned Simon the Sorcerer; who had bewitched an entire nation to believe he was the great power of God. In Revelation 8, by the opening of the seventh seal, heaven declared war against the earth with the successive sounding of four devastating trumpets. This week, be sensitive to the Spirit, arm yourself for spiritual warfare, and get in the war against darkness.

The 8th week is an eighth-seven books of the Bible week. The eighth-seven books of the Bible are Philippians, Colossians, First Thessalonians, Second Thessalonians, First Timothy, Second Timothy, and Titus. These are Paul’s letters to encourage, correct, teach, and guide. Most of these epistles were written to challenge error and get things done the right way. In The epistle to the Colossians, Paul challenged Gnosticism. In this epistles to the Thessalonians, he challenged the errors concerning the Second Coming of Christ. In the epistles to Timothy and Titus, he gave instructions that would help the young pastors do the right thing in the churches they worked with. Those books were light against deception and error. They were a great support from Paul to the leaders and their churches. May the Lord bring necessary support to you in this week.

The 8th season is associated with movements and relocations. Sometimes, it is forced relocation (or relocation driven by pressure); and sometimes it is planned or guided. This is true in the Bible as in modern history. ‘Trail of Tears’, the forced hazardous relocation of Native Americans to a reserved territory west of the Mississippi River, happened in the season of the 8th US President, Martin Van Buren. The relocation of Nigeria’s Capital from Lagos to Abuja happened in the season of the 8th national leader, Ibrahim Babaginda. In the 8th book of the Bible, a family relocated from Israel to Moab because of famine. In Genesis 8, Noah relocated from the Ark. In Second Kings 8, Elisha guided a family to relocate from Israel because of famine. In the 8th chapter of Acts, the disciples fled Jerusalem because of persecution and scattered to other lands. Welcome to the 8th week of the year! This week, the Lord will help you against forced relocation. He will keep you from moving back and forth because of problems. He will deliver you from famine and scarcity. He will cause abundant divine supplies to come your way. This will be a week of guided movements and operations for you Happy 8th week of the year!

The 7th Week: The Mystery of February 12-18

0

Welcome to the 7th week of the year. The seventh week is the week ending the first 49 days (seven weeks) of the year. It is the week of February 12-18. We can gain understanding about this week from the seventh day of creation, the seventh book and seventh chapters of the Bible, the seventh seven books of the Bible, and the last eight chapters of Genesis.

Week 7 is a seventh day of creation week. God did not create anything on the seventh day. He rested on that day. He blessed and sanctified the seventh day because He rested on that day. It was the rest of the day that made it a blessed and holy day. What makes the seventh day (or season) special is the rest in the season. We must not get caught up on ‘holy’ and ‘blessed’ while ignoring the rest. Further, the rest of the season is both physical and spiritual. It is rest in a wholistic sense. Jesus took it to spiritual dimension and the Jews thought He was violating the physical implications of the Sabbath. Whereas the Jews advocated limited activity and movement on the Sabbath, Jesus stood for spirit-soul-body rest from shackles. For Him, it was the best time to heal the sick and set captives free. For Him, it was a day to announce to everyone, “It is done; no more worries; receive your freedom and enjoy it”. This is not a day of work but a day of resting from pain, and joying God’s finished work. The seventh week is a week of rest from distress and unrest.

Week 7 is a seventh chapters of the Bible week. The seventh chapters the Bible reveal that seventh week is a week in which divine intervention is greatly needed. In Genesis 7, Noah’s ark saved him and family from the flood. God used the ark to preserve life. In First Samuel 7, Samuel saved Israel from the hand of the Philistines. In Second Kings 7, Elisha saved Samaria from famine. In Luke 7, Jesus saved an only child of a widow from death. Revelation 7 talks about those who came out of the great tribulation. In Acts 7, Stephen was stoned to death without intervention. The seventh chapters of the Bible reveal that the mouths of death and the grave are wide open in the seventh season. This week, theLord will shut the mouth of death and the grave; and deliver those appointed to death.

Week 7 is a seventh-seven-books-of-the-Bible week. The 7th seventh books of the Bible are John, Acts, Romans, First Corinthians, Second Corinthians, Galatians, and Ephesians. These books are about the application of the finished work. In the 43rd book, John, Jesus declared on the cross, “it is finished”. Those books are about the riches we have in Christ – salvation, eternal life, power, righteousness, freedom, gifts, ministry, position and authority. These seven book show us that, in Christ, we have rest from the Law, by faith; and that the struggle is over.

Week 7 is a Genesis 43-50 week. In this seventh section of the book of Genesis,Joseph stood out as both the savior of his family and race and the savior of Egypt. Through him his family came to live in Egypt and were cared for. Through him, Egyptians were preserved from a seven-year famine. He funded the burial of His father, Jacob, in the promised land. May the Lord bless you with a Joseph or make you one in this seventh  week of the year.

Week 7 is a book of Judges week. The book of Judges is the seventh book of the Bible. This book is about three things: Israel’s intermittent sin, suffering, and salvation. The book is called Judges because of the ‘judges’ who rose at different times to deliver Israel from her oppressors. Week seven is a week of salvation from oppression. They were deliverers for their own people. The book of Judges has 21 chapters; and so, each day of this week could express three chapters of Judges: day 1 (Judges 1-3); day 2 (Judges 4-6); day 3 (Judges 7-9); day 4 (Judges 10-12); day 5 (Judges 13-15); day 6 (Judges 16-18); and day 7 (Judges 19-21). In the days of the Judges, there was no king in Israel and everyone did was right in his or her eyes. The seventh is a deadly season without divine intervention. May the Lord intervene this week for the sake of the elect.

PRAYERS FOR THE SEVENTH WEEK

O Father, deliver me, this week from the enemy that is too strong for me.

O Father, send me helpers this week to fight the battles that seek to swallow me up.

O Father, use me, in the way you please, to minister rescue to anyone or group of people who might be in need of rescue.

O Father, deliver your own, by your mercy, from any disaster that would be unleashed this week.

1. Let this week be a week of revival and recovery from every kind of declension. Let it be a week turning and returning to God.

2. Let this week be a week of deliverance from diverse kinds of oppression.

3. Let saviors emerge from among your people for the salvation

4. Let not those whom you have raised for your battle in this week, including me, become casualty.

5. Let this week be marked by unity and not disunity; let it marked by true love and not self-centeredness. Let your will be the rallying point.

6. Let this week be a week of rest; let it not be a week of unrest.

7. Let this week be a week of preservation; not of destruction and death. Let the mouth of death and the grave be shut this week.

8. Let not my enemies rejoice over me this week. Deliver me from taking steps, making decisions, saying or doing things, that would give my enemies power over me.

The Mystery of the Sixth Week (February 5-11)

0

Welcome to the sixth week of the year. This is the  second ‘6th’ in the year. The first was the 6th day. The others are the 6th month and the 6th seven weeks (49 days). The Bible patterns for understanding the 6th week are 1) the narrative of the sixth day of creation; 2) the sixth book of the Bible, 3) the sixth chapters of the Bible, 4) sixth seven books of the Bible, 5) the sixth seven chapters of the Bible, and 6) the sixth seven chapters of Genesis.

The sixth week is a sixth day of creation week. It is a season to remember what God did on the 6th day creation. On the sixth day of creation, God completed and perfected the creation of flesh. 1. He created land animals from the earth. 2. He formed man’s from the ground, breathed into man and man became a living soul. He made man in His image and after His likeness. 3. He gave man the privilege of naming all the animals. God named the creatures of the other days. But man named every other thing God created on the sixth day – including Woman. 4. He formed woman from man and joined them to become husband and wife. God instituted human marriage on the sixth day. 5. He blessed man with fruitfulness and multiplication – to fill the earth and subdue it. 6. He gave man authority to rule and have dominion over all moving creatures on earth and in the sea. 7. He gave vegetation-food to man. He revealed His provisions to man. 8. He evaluated everything He had done and saw that they were indeed very good.

The sixth season is a ‘use what you have’ season. On the sixth day, God used what He had made to make other things. He formed man from the ground; and formed woman from man. He used man to rule the world. It is a season to exercise rule and dominion; and execute judgment against rebellion. It is a season of love and relationships. It is a season of work. It is a season of multiplication and increase. It is a season of connecting food to the eater. It is a season to reflect the image and likeness of the Creator. It is season to correct and perfect things that are not good or in order. It is a general evaluation season – leading to approval or rejection, regrets or rejoicing, blessing or cursing, deliverance, or destruction, multiplication or decimation.

The sixth week is a book of Joshua week. The book of Joshua is about battles for inheritance. It was a season of victories and possessing possessions for Israel; but a season of defeat, death, and losses for the Amorites. It is who you are that determines how you fare in seasons. In the book of Joshua, Israel crossed the Jordan miraculously to enter the Promised Land. In the book of Joshua, Israel battled the seven nations of the Amorites, by divine wisdom and direction, and turned their kingdoms into the kingdom of God. Israel overthrew the people and their idols; and instead established the worship of the True God. The book of Joshua has 24 chapters. If you divide 24 chapters of Joshua for the seven days of the week, you would have three chapters for each day and a remainder of three chapters. So, we would assign three chapters to each of the first six days; and then leave the remaining six chapters for the seventh day. Each section would apply to the day of the week that corresponds to it.

The sixth week is a sixth-seven-books-of-the-Bible week. It is also a sixth chapters of the Bible day. The sixth seven books of the Bible are Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, Matthew, Mark, and Luke. The first four books are books of judgment but the last three books are books of mercy. The first four books are books of the Old Testament; but the last three books form the beginning of the New Testament. The sixth season is for transiting from the old to the new; from judgment to mercy, from works to faith, from Law to grace, and from humanity to divinity. In the first three books of the New Testament, both John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth began to announce that “the Kingdom of God is at hand. The sixth week is a Kingdom-of-God week.

Week 6 is a Genesis 36-42 week. This 6th seven chapters of Genesis is about Esau’s family and Jacob’s family. The story of Esau is in Genesis 36. In Genesis 37, Joseph dreams but is sold by His brothers. Genesis 38 is about Judah’s family and the story leading to the birth of Perez. In Genesis 39, Joseph’s story in Egypt begins as a slave in Portiphar’s house until the 42nd chapter when he had become ruler in Egypt and saw his brothers coming from Canaan to buy grain in Egypt. He saw his dreams come true as his brothers bowed before him without knowing he was the one. May this week be, for you, a week of realizing dreams.

PRAYERS FOR THE SIXTH WEEK

O Father, make my sixth week to be like the book of Joshua to the children of Israel. Let this week be a week of realizing dreams and promises.

O Father, grant me miraculous victories and triumphs in the battles of this week.Lead me to cross the Jordan, to see the collapse of great walls of hindrance, and to possess the promised possessions.

O Father, overthrow any spirit or man that is sitting over my inheritance. This week, overthrow wicked forces in our nation and in the nations.

O Father, be gracious to me and deliver me from the disasters of this week. Deliver me from troubles and challenges that are too great for me.

O Father, help me by your Spirit to walk in obedience and not in rebellion.

The Mystery of the Fifth Week

0

Welcome to the fifth week of the year (days 29-35). This is the second major fifth in the year. The first is the  5th day. The others are the 5th month and the 5th seven weeks (49 days). The Bible patterns for understanding the 5th week are 1) the narrative of the fifth day of creation; 2) the fifth book of the Bible, 3) the fifth chapters of the Bible, 4) fifth seven books of the Bible, 5) the fifth seven chapters of the Bible, and 6) the fifth seven chapters of Genesis.

The fifth week is a fifth day of creation week. On the fifth day of creation, God made the sea creatures and the birds of the air. The fifth day of creation was a sea-heaven-earth day. The sea creatures are for the waters, and the birds for the earth and heavens. The birds fly above the earth and across the face of the firmament of the heavens. The move of God in the fifth season touches all realms – air, land, and sea. The fifth day was unique in so many ways:

It was the beginning of marine and avian life

It was the beginning of movement on earth, water, and air.

It was the beginning of flesh and blood creation.

It was the beginning of voice-sounds.

It was the beginning of sensory perception – taste, touch, smell, sight, audition.

It was the beginning of sexual reproduction.

It was the beginning of blessings of fruitfulness and multiplication).

What God did on the fifth day of creation is expressed in the fifth book and fifth chapters of the Bible; and should be made real in your life in the fifth week and season. God began to bless His creation on the fifth day of creation. He did not bless anything until the fifth day. The fifth chapter of Matthew opens with the beatitudes. May this fifth week of the year be loaded with blessings for you.God made fish and other sea creatures in abundance on the fifth day of creation. In the fifth book of the Bible, God said Israel would eat bread without scarceness in the Promised Land. In the fifth chapter of Luke, Peter and his friends toiled all night to catch but caught nothing. Jesus stepped in, told Peter what to do, and moved him from scarcity to abundance. May this fifth week be a week of abundance for you.God began to make perceptive and intelligent creatures on the fifth day of creation. In the fifth chapter of Second Kings, the servant of the man of God tried to deceive Elisha but got caught. In Acts 5, Peter detected the lies of Ananias and his wife. They both died for their deception. This fifth week of the year, no one will be able to deceive you.God began the creation of flesh and blood on the fifth day of creation. In the fifth chapter of Galatians, Paul speaks against walking in the flesh and the works of the flesh. In Second Kings 5 and First Corinthians 5, people were overtaken by the flesh. This fifth week of the year, you will walk in the spirit and not fulfill the desires of the flesh.God made free moving creatures on the fifth day of creation. In Mark 5, Jesus freed a man possessed by demons and bound with chains. In John 5, Jesus released a man held down by disease for 38 years to rise up and go home. In Acts 5, Peter healed many sick people lying on the street. He and his companion were arrested and imprisoned; but God sent His Angel to release Peter and John from prison. This fifth week, no evil power or force will be able to hold you down. You will be free to go about your good business. There was no voice-sound on earth until Gods created the birds on the fifth day. In Psalm 5:2-3, the psalmist said to God, “Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray. My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up”. This fifth week, your voice will not be shut up. You will be singing, praising, praying, declaring, and prophesying.

The fifth season, therefore, represents freedom of movement (as opposed to bondage and stagnation), freedom of expression (as opposed to oppression and fear), life (as opposed to death), blessings (as opposed to curses), fruitfulness (as opposed to barrenness), multiplication and increase (as opposed to scarcity and lack), fleshly manifestations as opposed to spirituality.

The fifth week is a book of Deuteronomy week. The word ‘Deuteronomy’ means ‘Second law’. So, the book of Deuteronomy is about the Law. The book is like a second statement or restatement of the Law. The book shows that the Law rules in the fifth season. This season treads on lawlessness and the lawless. Obedience is not negotiable in the fifth season. If you want blessing, you must choose obedience; but if you choose disobedience, you cannot refuse curses or escape the judgmental consequence of disobedience. The fifth season is a season of law and order. The creatures of the fifth day express law and order. Birds cannot fly unless they spread and flap their wings. Fish cannot swim swim without spreading their fins.

Week 5 is a fifth-seven-books-of-the-Bible week. The fifth seven books of the Bible (Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, and Habakkuk) are about judgmental visitations against Judah, Israel, and other nations – for ungodliness and rebellion against God. They are warning bells calling the people to return to God or face the grave consequences. The cry of the fifth season is, “Obey God and enjoy His blessings; disobey God and reap the harvest of rebellion and divine displeasure”. Week 5 is a season of blessings and curses. The curses of the fifth season include disease, death, barrenness, loss of freedom and possessions, famine, drought, scarcity, and hunger.

Week 5 is a Genesis 29-35 week. The fifth seven chapters of the first book of the Bible is applicable to the fifth week in the first seven weeks of the year. Those chapters of Genesis are the Jacob -chapters. It is the story of the beginning of the 12 tribes of Israel. Fruitfulness swallowed up barrenness in these chapters. Genesis 29-35 show that the fifth season is a season of fruitfulness and multiplication. It is a season of marriage and births.

Week 5 is a fifth-chapters-of-the-Bible week. The fifth chapters reveal that the fifth season is a season of supernatural healing and deliverance from death (Genesis 5, Second Kings 5, Mark 5, John 5, Acts 5); abundance (Luke 5); spirituality (Second Kings 5; Matthew 5; Acts 5; First Corinthians 5; Galatians 5). This week, may the Lord guided you into healing and deliverance. May He bless you with abundance of the things you need. May the Lord guide you to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh.

The fifth 49 years of the United States began July 1972 and would end July 2021. Think of disasters that have come on this nation within this season. The violence. The insecurity. The political tension. The impeachment cases – of Nixon in the 29th seven years, of Clinton in the 32nd seven years, and of Trump in the 35th seven years..  It has been a turbulent season of great prosperity. The 5th seven presidents of the United States were Warren Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and John F. Kennedy. Three of those presidents – first (29th), fourth (32nd), and seventh (35th) – died in office.

Week 5 is the beginning of the New Testament side of the First seven weeks of the year. It is a Matthew to Galatians season. The ministry of Jesus began and here and ended the reign of Moses and the Law. Week 5 is a new beginning – when God took on flesh and lived among men. Declare that change has come.

This week, be sure to not get in the way of God’s word. Also, prophesy against darkness at work in our world; but call upon God to be merciful and spare His people from destructions. Happy fifth week!

The 4th Week: The Mystery of January 22 – 28

0

Welcome to the fourth week of the year (days 22-28). This is the second major ‘fourth’ in the year. The first is the 4th day. The others are the 4th month and the 4th seven weeks (49 days). The fourth week of the year has its pattern in the fourth day of creation narrative; the fourth book and chapters of the Bible, the fourth seven books of the Bible, and the fourth seven chapters of the books of the Bible. The fourth week of the year is a prototype of the fourth seven weeks of the year.

This week is a Fourth-day-of-creation week. On the fourth day of creation, God made the luminaries: the sun, the moon, and the stars. He set them on them heaven or firmament to influence and maintain order on earth. On this day, He completed the battle against darkness and stopped it from dominating the night. From the fourth day of creation, darkness ceased to be the ruler of the night. Light guides and leads. It was a star that led the wise from the East to Bethlehem. The luminaries are leaders.

On the fourth day, God gave the luminaries the duty of giving light to the earth. He reinforced the work of the first day on the fourth day.  He gave the sun power to rule the day with light and heat. The fourth season is a season of light and heat against darkness and cold.

God made the moon and the stars to rule the darkness of the night. God only made day and night on the first day of creation. On the fourth day, He weakened the power of darkness and night by making lights to rule the night also. God perfected the work of the first day on the fourth day. The fourth is a perfection of the first.

The luminaries were also supposed to regulate and announce seasons. Before the invention of clock, the sun and moon were the clock and calendar. Morning was sunrise; and evening was sunset.

The fourth week is a time to herald and demonstrate that Heaven rules.

Week 4 is a Book of Numbers week. Numbers is the fourth week of the Bible. The fourth book of the Bible is the examination-test-book of Israel’s journey to Canaan. The failure of Moses, Aaron, and Miriam is recorded in the book of Numbers. The negative ministry of Balaam is recorded in this book. The rebellion of Korah and his company is also recorded here. The attack of the fiery serpents is also recorded here. Israel’s ground-breaking over the great kings of the Amorites is recorded here. Israel’s failure to enter the promised Land on schedule is also recorded in this book. The fourth is season of unprecedented negative and positive happenings. It is a season of exploits and pains.

The fourth book of the Bible is about leaders. The leaders were the most punished in the book of Numbers. The word ‘leader’ or ‘leaders’ is used in 154 verses in the entire Bible; and 58 of those verses is in the book of Numbers. The word ‘leader’ or ‘leaders’ is also not used anywhere in the Bible before the book of Numbers. The Book of Numbers is about calling out leaders. The book is about leadership. This week is for the manifestation of leadership. The people failed in the book of Numbers because the leaders failed.

The fourth week of the year is a fourth-chapters-of-the-Bible week. The fourth chapters of the Bible that the fourth season is a season of temptations, pressures, pains, persecution, tension, conflicts, and confusion. It is a season that calls for great sensitivity in the spirit. It is season to guard your inner man with all diligence. The divine agenda for the week is to hold out light against effects of darkness. It is a week to subdue darkness, disorganization and disorderliness. It is a week to overcome temptations and trials. This is a week of organized strategic warfare against darkness – especially mental darkness that produces fear, confusion, deception, and wrongdoing. What you need is light; and God has given you light in His word, in the Holy Spirit, and in the wise mentors and coaches around you.

Week 4 is a Genesis 22-28 week. The fourth seven chapters of the first book of the Bible is applicable to the fourth week in the first seven weeks of the year. Genesis 22-28 are the promotion-test chapters in the life and family of Abraham. The fourth-seven (22-28) is preparatory season. It is the season before ‘the move’ or ‘the explosion’.

Week 4 is a fourth-seven-books-of-the-Bible week. The fourth seven books of the Bible are Song of Songs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, and Hosea. The books of the ‘major prophets’ are part of the fourth seven books. They were guiding lights to Judah and Israel in a season of spiritual declension. The fourth seven books open with ideal love relationship of a king and his bride and end with a terrible love relationship between a prophet and his whorish wife. Relationship is a vital issue in the fourth season. With it, men go up; but without it they go down. May this fourth week of the year be, for you, a season of marvelous relationship with God and with men.

Week 4 is Obadiah – Malachi week. This is the last week on the Old Testament side of the First 49 days. The last 9 books of the Old Testament are among the shortest books of the Old Testament. Obadiah has 1 chapter. Haggai has 2 chapters. Nahum, Habakkuk, and Zephaniah have 3 chapters each. Jonah and Malachi have 4 chapters each. Micah has 7 chapters. Zechariah has 14 chapters. Altogether, they are 41 chapters. They are the bridge to the New Testament side of the first 49 days of the year. The atmosphere is changing for good. In the last 9 books of the Old God demonstrated that power belongs to heaven in the fourth season. Jonah learnt the lesson in hard way. Habakkuk could not argue it. Zephaniah is about the day of the Lord. This week, Heaven will resist arrogance on earth and exalt the humble.

On the fourth day of creation, God set power on the firmament of heaven by the creation. By that, He indicated that the fourth week or season is a time to herald and demonstrate that Heaven rules. This is a week of organized strategic warfare against darkness – especially mental darkness that produces fear, confusion, deception, and wrongdoing. This week, Heaven will resist arrogance on earth as exalt the humble. Happy fourth week!
